Been here a couple times with friends and each times it's always packed to the brim. A very popular spot that opens very late. A decent spot that my partner and I like whenever we're feeling some skewers vibes. I find myself to be a huge fan of their cucumber salad. Yes, even for a skewer place, they can be very delicious as a compliment to the savory skewers. It's nice to have that sweeter taste to offset the saltiness of all the other items. Interior is nice but can be quite hectic. Tons of tables that fit all sizes of groups, staff is quick but sometimes they do feel like they're understaffed. Service is not really a thing here, most like a food shop stand but interior. They clean tables, assign seating, bring you your food and that's basically it. Paying can be confusing but most of the time you can pay on your phone but it's recommended to pay where the register is, quick and easy. There's so many food options that you might find yourself scrolling for awhile. One feature I like is that their ordering system is easy. Scan a QR code and you can just order on your phone. Staff is moderately quick so that's a plus. If you're with a group, I recommend ordering on a designated phone to prevent any confusion or extra charges, etc. Skewers wise, my favorite goes to the beef, lamb, and the squid sticks. All are seasoned well but can be a bit salty. Most of the food here is spicy unless you ask for it so prepare for that. There's also a side/condiments bar that's filled with snacks that you can munch on while you're waiting for your food free of charge, however it's pretty filling. Overall, a decent spot that's great for a late night snack. Not the best but not the worse either when it comes to service. Food is great and even better for people who can handle spice well. Will definitely be back in the future.

A cool Chinese-style skewer spot in the city of San Gabriel. This was my first time here, and it was located in a plaza with an underground parking lot. The top area was quite full but the bottom still had some spots. Came here for dinner and really enjoyed the food. I liked the chicken skin, fries, scallops, and plenty of other items. Come with a nice-sized group so you can try a little bit of everything. Service was nice and they also serve alcohol here.

Went to Meet You BBQ SG with friends for a late-night feast - absolutely solid choice for grilled skewers, frog, and grilled fish. Must-try: · Beef tongue - super tender, grilled just right · Fried chicken skin - crispy like chips, very addictive · Frog legs - tender and flavorful, pairs perfectly with beer Best part - free-flow self-service station: You can take as much as you want: ice jelly (bingfen), peanuts, prawn crackers, and some small appetizers. The ice jelly is a lifesaver for spicy food lovers - I had 3 bowls! If you're looking for a fun night out with grilled food, beer, and free desserts, this place won't disappoint. Will come back again!

I m very sad to see good place turn bad. At this point, I have been here several times. On my last visit, I got here around 11pm. Had to wait for the table around 15 minutes. Service was the same. Food came out fast but my one and only favorite meat quality went downhill. Beef had a lot of chewy parts which indicated inferior meat quality and I was not happy about it. All the side dishes were empty too. I have money left over in the gift card to visit one last time to give this place another chance. Hopefully it was just one off night.

We came in a little over an hour before closing and were seated right away, but were told we only had one chance to order before the kitchen shut down. It felt a bit odd given we arrived about an hour and three minutes before closing, but considering they stay open until 2am, it's understandable they have to draw the line somewhere. That aside, the food was absolutely delicious. Every skewer came out hot and packed with flavor, and you could tell everything was cooked with care. The standout dishes were definitely the grilled scallops with vermicelli and the grilled oysters. Both were smothered in an incredible garlic sauce with tons of rich, aromatic flavor. The scallops and oysters were cooked perfectly and easily the highlight of the meal. Most of the skewers were spot on in terms of texture and doneness. The only miss was the potato skewers. They tasted great, but the texture was a bit off since they came out floppy instead of crispy. Overall, this is still the best skewer spot I've been to. Great flavors, solid execution, and definitely worth coming back for.

The food here is great, but if you don't eat spicy food, you stay need to place your order and then tell a staff that you don't want spicy. There's an option on the app, but the app specifically tells you that you need to tell a server directly. I've done that every time. As for the food, most of the skewers are served all at once. The AC is blasted so the food gets cold really fast. So you either have to eat really fast or order small portions and gradually add. I've been to other skewer restaurants where they use tealights under the metal platter to keep the skewers warm, but they didn't do that here.

Unfortunately have to update my review as I found out they don't have the snack bar open until later in the evenings this time around the potato swirl skewers also weren't evenly cooked so ended up soggy on some parts, crispy on others, and I could tell the crunch was from the potato being uncooked rather than crispy like a chip. I'd still come back in the future but probably only for later night meals.

One of my usual spot for Chinese BBQ and came here for multiple times after works. We loved the roasted spicy fish. My favorite is chicken skin and it's so crispy. Great place to drink with friends because they always have the special. The service was great and we enjoyed dinning in.

Came here for late night dinner. I love eating skewers while inhaling beers so I was excited to try this place. It was about an hour wait so we put our names on the waitlist and tracked our spot in line. Once seated, you are able to grab some food to much on from their snack bar. The skewers itself were decent but not as good as Mr Wang or XinJiang. However, you cannot beat their beer price!

I tried Meet U BBQ a while back and was always amazed by the quality and quantity of food for the prices! My family and I love the appetizers bar, but they change it out pretty frequently, and some of the dishes like the sugared tomatoes and pickled cucumbers don't seem to be there anymore. The snacks are still fun to get though! I also recommend people try the grilled fish, the stinky tofu, and the scallops. Those are definitely slept on here! Overall, service is pretty quick and the vibe is very family-friendly. I typically park across the street at the San Gabriel Superstore because parking can be hard in that lot.

overall relatively decent chinese bbq skewer spot. inside is large and spacious, but not sure if it was just the saturday i went but only 1 server was there so service was quite slow, had to go up to counter a few times to ask for things. taste of food was good, quite oily though so not the healthiest. We got the large spicy fried fish Sichuan style, which was quite oily, but the flavor was good. The skewers are mixed: favorites included lamb, beef, potato spiral (recommend), cauliflower, chicken feet (super chewy), which hit quite well. not as good were the corn (did not like the sour-ish flavoring coating), chicken skin was average, chicken tongue was not terrible. fried rice and fried instant noodles were nothing spectacular but did its job. parking can be a pain so make sure to go underground.

This restaurant is in a pretty busy plaza but there is plenty of parking in the underground garage. I waitlisted when I arrived and was seating within 10 minutes. I ordered on my phone and the food came out pretty quick! They also had an appetizer bar which was rly nice. There was a variety of apps such as mapo tofu, seaweed, cripsy chips, and desserts such a fruit and jelly. Idk where they bought their oranges but it was SO SWEET I literally ate all that was left at the bar lol. Skewers Tofu wrapped enoki mushroom 10/10! Super flavorful and delicious. The tofu skin was undercooked like how other skewer places have it. Beef 8/10: typical beef skewers that had good labor too Chicken skin 7/10: not my fave since it was a bit too crispy for me but it may be someone else's cup of tea! Beef tongue 8/10: small amount given but it was the perfect chew. I would def order this again! Fried rice 8.5/10: this rly helped balance all the flavors of the skewers. I was surprised that it wasn't so bland. I would def order this again if I came back for a palate cleanse. Cheese corn 9/10: super creamy, sweet and delicious. Def satisfied my cravings Overall this place may be my new go to skewer place!

came here again but ordered different things on their menu. Tried their oyster and it was fresh and tasty with marinated sautéed onions and garlic on top. Oyster was not overcooked. It was still soft and sweet with oyster juices. I also tried their instant noodles that were pan fried with veggies and sausages. It had good flavor with good seasoning.

I tried~ *6.9% Sharlie, a hazy IPA. *8.5% Mothman, a DDH hazy IIPA. *10.5% Yacumama, a hazy IIPA with pineapple & coconut notes. ~I liked them all! They were all nice and refreshing on a scorching day. I brought my laptop to do a little work while I sipped and the staff was really nice about directing me to outlets. I actually had my first drink on their patio outside but it got soooo~ hot so I was thankful for all the indoor seating. Clean bathrooms, beers can be bought in cans for purchase and I saw some people just dipping in to grab & go. They had a couple of dedicated spots which filled quickly and then I reckon other parking may be a bit harder to find. Prices are good, staff is great and most importantly beer is cool & inventive. The pandan IPA was tapped out when I came in but I will surely be in again to try more.

Located in the industrial area of San Gabriel, Ogopogo highlights their ube beer and food. Sad to say, they do not make a pandan hazy IPA anymore, which was my main reason for coming. I had no idea! We parked in the faded parking lot in the front of the brewery. The parking is unclear as for the opposite side says no parking. We walked in, and felt very cold, since it was a rainy/cloudy day. They had their doors open that led towards he outside seating and the front entrance, so a breeze was going through. On a Sunday afternoon, it was not busy at all. We took a small look around the brewery and didn't see anyone. The beertender was actually hidden towards the left and wasn't near the register. She didn't say anything nor greet us. In fact, I don't know if she said anything at all. We ordered out two beers and went to sit down. I found out that she was counting her minutes to leave and another beertender took her spot. We sat in the back where the music wasn't as loud so we can do some work. I ended up going back up to order their hot dog happy hour: a Boeman and a hot dog for $10. I then ordered myself a hot dog for $5 in addition to a Hazy IPA. the second beertender was a tad nicer than the first. She explained to me the discontinued beer, which I didn't know about. The hot dog was pretty good for the cost. It's bigger than a hot dog you'd get at a stadium and it was definitely half the price. They had ketchup packets and offered onions as a topping. As for their beers, it was decently priced with the haze I was expecting. They had a bigger crowd of people starting at 6 when we left. The parking lot was filled on both sides and people created their own lot with their cars. It's just odd how no one really comes throughout the day on a Sunday. They could offer more foods, snacks, or incentives to get people coming, but I didn't see any of that. The workers seemed not to care too much either, so that's a bummer. Again, lots of potential, but the care needs to be put in. I probably won't be back.
