Good place to watch baseball and enjoy a cold one with the boys. No beers on draft, but wide selection of bottles. A good heavy pour on mixed drinks and cocktails. Quick service. Cash only. Street parking outside. Will be back.

Old school since 1945. If you enjoy dive bars just like I do then you will have a nice time here. The patrons are chill and the bartender is nice and fast with making the drinks. The only drawback is that they only carry bottled beer and no beer on tap. If you want to gamble they also sell Lottery tickets but no Scratchers.

A great spot I had ventured to. Very dim ambiance with a super chill vibe. Drinks are good and around the neighborhood corner.

Work has been rough so I stopped Al's to have a drink. Francis was working and was very friendly like all the bartenders here. What is really great is she id's people who walk in, and there are some that get upset because they do not have the proper id. When you are doing your job and get the boot for not having id it's your fault. I enjoy this establishment with all the bartenders, Sarah, Shawn and Charlotte who will always take care of you. Don't pass this place up.

Decided to have a late night drink and just chill. Found this place near my area and decided to give it a try. I started to like dive bars when I'm just trying to relax and talk. Parking is in the back. At first I thought the place was closed, it looks closed from the outside but it's actually open. There wasn't much people on a Thursday night so there was plenty of seats. We got helped right away and the bartender was really nice throughout the experience. I ordered malibu rum with Diet Coke and my boyfriend order jack and coke And it came out $12. This place is pretty affordable to get a drink! The place looks really cozy and it's pretty small but cool decorations and the music is mainly oldies and country. There's a modern jukebox. The only thing I didn't like (one star off) was that it's CASH ONLY. That's hard for people who only carry cards and they do have atms but they have a $3 charge fee which sucks. Overall this place isn't bad to come here for a drink and chill. It is affordable. Remember to bring cash.

10/10 vodka Martini, stirred not shaken.

My favorite dive bar in San Gabriel. Cash only, no frills, strong drinks, and plenty of parking in the back for your DD. What's not to love?

Best $100.00 lunch I've had in a while. Worth every bite! Oysters fresh. Lightly sweet, paired well with cocktail and chimichurri sauce. Both cocktails were light on the palate with enough of a hit, not too sugary. Paired well with Oysters. The House Pan Roast. Without question I'd recommend to anyone who's visiting here the first time. I was originally going to settle for some market price lobster pasta but decided since everyone posted the House Pan Roast Steam the most might as well. Great choice regardless. Bartender Manager very professional. You feel taken care of. Ambiance without question excellent dine in atmosphere, very modern decor. So I just came back from a dispatch to Lansing Michigan and ate at one of their Seafood Boils...does not compare to this establishment in Temple City Los Angeles!!!

Fish and chips were great; fries were herbed and well seasoned; calamari was crazy good. Clam chowder was remarkably delicious - I'm from New England so I'm picky about my chowder, especially if it's not "authentic" - but this chowder with the Cajun twist was really something else - a definite must try. Bread pudding (the original with the berry compote) is a must have, so be sure to leave room Also, our server Jenny is a superhero - she was the only one there and held it down all by herself during a busy Friday lunch service; she was genuinely friendly, highly attentive and gave great suggestions on what to order 10 stars.

We came in around 6:30. They had just opened but the atmosphere was ready! Dark and moody with candles on the table, it was the perfect spot to grab a drink and catch up. Jeremy was our bartender and he was fantastic. Super chill and friendly and made us some amazing drinks based on a few preferences. Our "bartenders choice" drinks were amazing, so much so that our "drink to end the night" turned into two drinks and some appetizers. We ordered taquitos and mozzarella sticks. Overall all three of us ladies loved this place! We definitely plan to be back! Let Jeremy make you a drink - you won't regret it. He makes them custom for you and he definitely knows what he is doing. *they do ask for a password which you can request on their website... but I would do that 24-48 hours before you plan to visit. You will need to reach out to the bar via email to get the password, but you can also get a hint from the person at the front. We got our hint and successfully guessed it, gaining entry. The interior has dark lounge lighting with tables throughout. I got the gotham standard manhattan ($16) which was strong and spirit forward. We came right when they opened so it was very empty, but the bartender mentioned it gets really packed and lively on weekends. If I came back and was able to guess the password I'd stop by when it's more energetic for a different vibe.

Boyles Tavern felt like a pub speakeasy, tucked away the way all good gems are. From entrance to table, we were pleasantly surprised. The door alone felt like entering what could become your new favorite fast burger fix, without tasting like fast food may I add. The two story tavern was bustling with what seemed to be different tables of friends, which made me wonder if this is what Cheers felt like, all while everyone watched Sunday football. We ordered at the bar, a Cowboy Smash Burger for me, Smash Sliders for the Mr, and sweet chili wings to start, with the right crisp on them. Service was clear, accommodating, and fast. I think we got our food within ten to fifteen minutes. We will definitely be back for the food and the family vibes T. Boyles offers.

It was a great place for some casual, mildly literary drinking on a Thursday night. The bar was in an alley, and I was happy to find free, easy street parking right outside the alley entrance. The alley was well lit enough that it didn't feel sketchy, though if I were inclined to beat someone up, this would probably be a convenient place to do it. The space was slightly below ground, down a flight of stairs from the alley. It felt like an Irish pub/sports bar with a tap list of California beers in addition to Coors Light and Guinness. Service was friendly and reasonably fast. I had a Made West Hazy IPA and a Pizza Port Amber, both of which I've had and enjoyed several times in several places over the years. I also ate some fries that were lying around, probably but not certainly by someone I at least sort of know. They weren't bad. I live kind of far from Pasadena and T. Boyle's isn't a destination bar, but I'd come back for another round or two after Vroman's. It's a comfortable spot with good draft beer, where you can relax and have some conversations.

Because this is a hotel bar since it's situated in The Langham 5-star luxury hotel, the drinks are expensive like $25 starting. One of my friends got a lemon-based mocktail (pretty good) and I got Cosmopolitan-type cocktail with Prosecco (pretty solid and not overly sweet, just not one of the best cocktails I tried). Another friend ordered Negroni, which is a potent cocktail with a bitter sharp, dry aftertaste. I could hardly taste any hint of sweetness in the drink. My friend thought it was too bitter, too. Honestly, for me it tastes just as bitter as a Manhattan, probably because both cocktails incorporate sweet vermouth. 3 stars for the poor customer service and wait time for standing in line to order drinks. There were 2 or 3 bartenders and they were rushing but also seemed like they weren't efficiently helping customers with drinks in a timely manner. The lounge area was meh (super limited seat spots) and the vibes were bland despite coming here on New Year's Eve. Definitely an older demographic that frequents this bar, not that it's a bad thing, just not our vibe since it would've been more fun if there other people closer to our age, so we decided to bar hop elsewhere after.
