We went on a Friday night, it was kind tough to find parking. Every table was full, with folks still waiting for a table when we got there. Pros: Good prices. The equipment was well kept and seemed new. Drinks and food were cheap. Cons: it was HOT in there. I was sweating. Bathroom looked clean but very smelly. 30 min wait for a table. Music- they dont have touchtunes, they use an app called AMI play and it was terrible. Someone was bumping really bad EDM, nobody wants to hear that. read more

There is limited parking in the back and street parking. They say no outside food or drinks allowed inside. Warning that they have no AC so it can get warm especially when you're into your game. Dim lighting and pop music in the background. You get the billiard balls from the counter after telling the staff how many people. It's $14 for single player and $16 for 2-4 players. Note that they are cash only! The cue sticks are by the wall. You bring back the balls once you're done and ready to pay. They have restrooms inside, not sure how clean they are. Overall a good spot to play pool at a decent price. read more

~ Cash Only ~ $12/hr for 1-2 people $13/hr 3+ people They sell food and beer. There's lots of tables inside. Inside does get hot and stuffy or super cold, nothing in between. read more

I've been here a few times now and the service is always friendly. It's a decent place to play and hang out with friends in a chill classic pool hall environment. The rates are slightly higher than most places for a single shooter, but with two or more, they ate pretty much even with other places across town. The tables are in decent condition, but some of them have been "well-loved." During the daytime there is ample room between tables. When it's more crowded, I imagine it's about on power with every other place I've ever played. For the shooters out there, from what I've seen the league players are excellent and I believe they play on Wednesday nights. read more

Boo, It has taken me a while to take the time in telling you about "The Cue" pool hall in Alhambra on Main St. If you enjoy shotting pool with friends, like reasonable cost, drinks, overall comfort, "The Cue" would not be your first choice. They charge too much for beer, no hard drinks. They save money by not running air conditioning at any time of the day. With hot temperatures, you sweat so much you can't see your shots, or even keep your hands dry from the temperature. You have other options in the area, from Crown City in Pasadena, Fantasia Billiards in Burbank, and Green Billiards in Los Angeles, all with air conditioning, and good drinks, avoid "The Cue" in Alhambra. read more

CASH ONLY but they have an indoor ATM. Limited draft and bottle beer selection, from your typical Mexican or American beers with prices ranging at around $7ish per bottle to $24 for pitcher (at time of this visit). There are plenty of pool tables plus a couple carambola (pocketless tables). It's a good spot for groups with a fun and chill vibe. This night group age ranged from mostly young 20's to ac few 50+ year olds. Restrooms are limited one per gender. There's 2hr limited street parking but also a private parking lot available. Food is typical bar food; burgers, hot dogs, wings, fries, etc. Costumer service is a hit or miss, I guess depending on the crowds vibe. Overall fun place. Pay attention and keep track of your time so there aren't any surprises on your bill. read more

After all these decades I finally stopped by this place with a neighbor to shoot some pool on a Tuesday night. This place has been a staple of Alhambra for decades but I don't know what year it opened. It was pretty busy too which surprised me but we didn't have to wait for a table. It will cost you 16 bucks an hour for two players which isn't too bad for some entertainment. The beers are a bit pricey but you can get a pitcher of beer for 24 bucks which will end up being a better deal than buying individual glasses. It's a nice chill ambiance with friendly patrons and workers. The only thing I didn't like was that there was no liquid soap in the restroom. When we left at 930pm more people were coming in - they stay open until 200am. read more

Plenty of pool tables, big space and tv's to show the dodger games. They have beer and food, pitchers are at $20. They have a juke box that only takes cash, app doesn't work. This location only takes cash and no credit cards for everything, ATM available. I got skimmed for 20mins on my hour of pool so be careful and keep track when you start your game. Parking is in the back or you can park in the street. read more

Hello, this is my first time writing a review but only because it was really bad and personally I think, dangerous. It was a fun place, cheap, all equipment was good, nothing crazy. Me and my friends were having fun but we noticed it was really hot. The food was ok, one of my friends got a hotdog for 2.50. He said it was ok. If the story had ended there I would've been ok with this place but when we go to pay, it turns out they gave my friends id to someone else. No discount or anything or even apology. We asked and they had said that it happens all the time and that usually the people call them back but who knows how long that'll take. This has never happened at any poll hall I went to ever and it's the first time I come here. This is super bad and dangerous, won't be coming here again and I hope nobody else comes here either read more

Best billiards spot in LA. Very spacious, nice dim lighting and has good snacks and drinks to keep you playing all night.

Chill spot to play some pool. Inside is simple, no frills. Plenty of pool tables, spacing in between is a bit tight. They only got fans along the walls so it can feel a bit warm in there. There's a jukebox for music. They have a small selection of beers and they do pitchers. They also have food. Service was ok. Cash only. There's street parking or a small lot in the back. read more

If you're looking for a down home pool hall, then this is the place to be. It's nothing fancy, but its a great time. Music is good, food is pretty tasty nothing fancy, and excellent cold beers. Reasonable price and the service is good. This place is a staple in Alhambra! read more

CASH ONLY!! This place is so fun! It cost anywhere between $16-$30 to play pool and get one table. The pricing is supposed to be determined by how long you stay and how many people are at a table and playing with you, but it seems like they don't really keep track of that. We had a fairly large group and ended up playing one game and it cost a total of $30. Not bad if you divided up between everyone, but we were expecting the price to be about 20, so the way they get their total is kind of shady. They have beer and really good hotdogs, they grill their buns, which makes them really yummy! This is a fun and different thing to do around the LA area, especially if you like a more laid-back environment with some cheap food and drink options. read more

Old time favorite! Although snooker is the preferred game, plenty of tables and almost no wait times for 9balll

Very chill spot if you want to play a few rounds of pool. It wasn't too crowded and inside was a nice temp. Very hold in the wall vibes and cash only! Giving this place 5 starts because it met my expectations to being with, I wasn't really hoping for anything over the top, just a place to play pool and pass the time. read more

I used to love coming here but it is such a rip off!! Been playing here since High School but sucks to say that my visits will be less if not no more. $12 an hr, but I played for 1 hr and 25 minutes and still got charged $26!! Maybe I forgot how to do math or maybe I thought computers were smart but I think it was over priced. They really need to fix that before they lose more customers. Apparently thats how the "computer system" charges. So much for keeping things in the community. read more

BEWARE THE MANAGER OR GENTLEMEN BEHIND THE COUNTER. I don't know if he is the Cashier or cook ( since it looked like he was wearing a chef coat) IS A THEIF. WHAT he pulled me was not his first rodeo. You can tell he has done this more than once . I want to Cueball on 3/8/24 with friends. I rented out a table for an hour ( I started the countdown I time on my Apple Watch) At exactly the hour I went up to turn in the rack of balls and get my ID back . I handed him a 20 ( this is where I messed up. I did not ask what the total was. Even though I played for exactly an hour and I knew it was $15 an hour. I still should've asked him what the total was ) So, after I handed him the $20 bill, he hands me back ONE DOLLAR BILLS. When I counted my change in front of him, he only gave me four dollars. I asked him he only gave me four dollars I missing one dollar. He proceeds to tell me, " oh it's because you went over the hour " I said , " NO I DIDN'T " He then opens his cash register, and hands me the dollar. you can tell he has been doing this for quite some time now, he was so comfortable and so unashamed. I am definitely not coming back here and giving them my business. I will also be putting a complaint on BBB (better Business Bureau) I will also be contacting ROB BONTA ( attorney general ) with customer complaint regarding this incident. PLEASE COUNT YOUR CHANGE WHEN HE HANDS YOU THE MONEY. read more

A grungy billiards/pool place on Main Street in Alhambra = hidden gem! The place has a unique vibe, with its grungy atmosphere and spacious layout. They have food vending machines, which is pretty cool if you're in the mood for a quick snack. Just keep in mind that they have a strict no food policy, so make sure to eat before you go. Also, they only accept cash, but the prices are great. Plus, they have their own back parking lot, which is convenient. Overall, if you're looking for a laid-back spot to play some pool, this place is definitely worth checking out! read more

I've been coming to this place since I was in high school, and this actually was one of my first jobs my first summer back from college. It's great for what it is. It's a fun place to spend an hour or two with friends, shoot some pool, host an event. They've got 20 pool tables and fast food/beer. I'm glad to see the place has survived throughout COVID-19 (they open back up on Thursday, April 8). During a time when so many small businesses have gone out of business, it's good to see those that are able to make a comeback. Will definitely be hitting this place up this weekend with friends! read more

December 2021 - Went around 9pm on a Saturday. There was no wait for an open pool table but there were plenty of people there. Food/Pricing - Didn't get any food or drinks but they do sell foods plus beer! The three of us were there for about 2 hrs and we paid $20. They keep one ID on file until you return the pool sticks, etc. and pay. Service/Ambiance - There's a jukebox where you can select music to play but if it's crowded then it might be a long while before your song comes on. Service is okay. The place looks decently clean, has dim lighting, and restrooms available. read more

The pros: Dark dingy dirtball pool hall. Raspy looking dirty rugs that have been there since the turn of the century. Unfriendly people that run this place. Now for the cons: Bent old pool cues. Unbalanced tables. Pool balls chipped. Old unstable chairs. No place to put food. Food stains on chairs. Prices high and change. Review: For a quick game, I guess this place is sort of good. Bring some wipes to wipe down your pool stick. They are very sticky and dirty. Plan to end your game 10 minutes early before your time is up or else that miserable lady will charge you an arm and a leg extra for a couple minutes over. We were there one day and played a game which went 10 minutes past 7 p.m. . She charged us the after 7 p.m. price which is much higher. Talk about a major rip-off. So beware of the times and prices. Crispy fries were kind of okay. But I can go to in and out and get that and they taste a thousand times better. So I can end this by saying I just will come here once in a while to play a pool game until I find another place that's much better read more

Hey it's a typical pool hall. Nothing inspiring or new or hip about it, just a plain 'ol pool hall. Tables are usually open so no issues there. Clientele is early 30s & up. $14 per hour for 2-4 person party. Import beer is $7 a pint or $21 a pitcher. Cash only. Street parking only. Lots of tables

Cue ball is one of the only pool halls in the SGV and for being what it is - it works! It's conveniently located on main st in Alhambra so you're very close to lots of great restaurants. In terms of pricing, I think it's fair. It's cheaper if you go earlier in the day. They charge per hour so just make sure you set a timer or keep an eye on the clock! Tbh I don't know much about pool tables but these ones do look a little worn down and the cues are a little on the older side. It's all still very functional so I guess you can't really complain?? You can tell The Cue Ball is a lil on the older side and I can't ever tell what they're going for with their music choices (it ranges from country to silence). The staff is friendly enough and won't hassle you if you don't hassle them. I've been on a Wednesday night and a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy either time. I don't think there's really a parking lot, but there are parking lots around and 1 hour street parking. read more

Cue Ball is one of the last standing billard spots in 626. Inside is still the same since I first came here in middle school. Parking lot is in the back. They serve beer and food. Pitchers are a good deal. They have over 10+ pool tables. Crowd is hit or miss, sometimes its packed and sometimes it is dead. As it gets later into the night, the crowd can get more sketchy. Cash only! Night time prices are $12.50 for 4 players and $4 for each extra. Not bad for a few games of pool. read more

One player $9/hr 2,3,4 players $12.50/hr Extra player $4/hr Usually packed at night but tables become free constantly so just grab a beer $5--8 and chill. They have some bar tables and chairs for you to wait. Beers of tap and bottles (around $5-6). They carry almost all the Mexican beers but NO CRAFTS, if you're unsure, try the Negra Modelo (dark lager). Upside: place is not bad, clean, good dim lighting, standard space in between tables. The waitress walks by constantly taking away the empty bottles and offering more, which you can pay her right there at the pool table with cash...For the super lazy who don't want to walk towards the cashier/bar. Not bad, keeps the beer flowing! Downside: One bathroom for each gender. Prices are on the higher side, once I ended up paying $50 just worth of pool (2 people, 3 hours or so) - all my hobbies are so expensive ;) PARKING: so easy, street or back of venue. No biggie. Overall, a good place for those LAST MINUTE plan-less nights. read more

This is a pretty clean pool hall with a good amount of tables! They have separate gender restrooms in the back. They only serve beer for alcohol choice. They have a decent menu and the waitress that goes around all the tables is very nice! I have been here every day this week to play pool. It was busier on a Monday night than on a Sunday night. Saturday is packed and Friday is pretty busy as well. They have a jukebox but they don't play music unless someone pays to play music in the jukebox. I wish they would at least turn on the radio if no one pays because it's weirdly quiet and you can hear all the conversations around the hall. read more

Place is mid. No cards accepted, only CASH, so prepare yourself. Drinks? Yea, only cheap beer. The guy at the desk gave my buddy the WRONG ID back after we played one boring game of pool, he allowed us to walk away with someone else's ID, what kind of mistake is that ? It was not until me and my friend were at a bar that we noticed it was not his, please check your ID before you leave, we had to return to get his real ID back, just wasted time and got me annoyed. The juke box they have is like the only thing that's good, the music playing was alright. That place needs to upgrade, the drinks, and needs to accept debit or credit, etc. read more
