Alhambra really has some gems as far as other bars in the 626 go. Rabbit Hole was lovely! It's entirely Alice in Wonderland / fantasy themed. Great service and stunning interior decor! Stopped by this bar that had an Alice in Wonderland theme it was cute and fun without trying too hard. It wasn't mind blowing but they did a nice job. Definitely a cool spot if you're into themed places that don't go overboard. Drinks were good. The menu had a nice variety, and everything we ordered tasted nice. They were out of one ingredient for a drink we wanted, but the bartender let us know right away so no complaints there. Service was good, like the ambiance nothing out of this world but it did the job. We didn't have to wait very long at the bar One of the main highlights was the DJ, they played a great mix that we wouldn't have expected at a small bar. There were also plenty of seats, which was nice for when we wanted to just chill for a bit and talk. Overall was a fun night. We came in for a quick round of drinks and got the sailor moon and the kallaita and both were excellent. A little sweet, strong, good flavor and of course the tajin rim. The workers were nice and the interior was cool. I liked the theme and name of the place and all the upside down stuff hanging from the ceiling was cool. Came here for a friend's birthday who rented out the space. Drinks were not craft cocktails. The Black Dahlia tasted like black licorice (even though it doesn't contain any), looked nothing like the Yelp photos, and was undrinkable--I didn't finish it. The other cocktail, a rebranded house drink, was just okay--something I could easily make better at home. To top it off, I checked my credit card statement later and was overcharged. Two drinks came out to $49.50, more than what was listed at the bar. No receipt meant I couldn't dispute it. The female bartender was inattentive, and I suspect she charged someone else's drink to my card. Would not return. read more

I've been here a few times over the past number of years and some nights have been more memorable than others just because of the patrons alone, but I'm not here to review the crowd. I'm here strictly speaking for the bartenders, bouncers, restroom facilities, and drinks. So the bartenders have always been knowledgeable and courteous, starting with a woman who used to work there named Stephanie. She had always been very gracious, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. She really was a master mixologist and a master conversationalist. The drinks she created were always tasty and she was always more than ready and able to suggest new things to patrons. Present day, she's moved onto a different bar in Highland Park, but there is a mixologist there now who is equally as wonderful. Thalia is her name. She has made the last three times I've gone excellent. One evening she made me a few different drinks to try and I remember falling in love with a cocktail called The Molly. One thing to bear in mind when ordering is that it's sort of like a revolving sushi place and the plates (drinks) stack up fast! Your tab at the end of the night may surprise you if you don't watch it, but it's not surprising given how tasty they are. The bouncers have never been a point of contention and have always been professional and kind, unlike the sewer of a bar next door. The restrooms are as expected in this area for a bar--could use a little more mopping and a little more restocking. I wish people would stop writing their stupid names and slapping stickers all over the place, but that's just the world we live in. I really wish that management would put a lock on the men's restroom door though. The first time I was there, someone walked in on me while I was...sitting down...because of that, I had to use the women's restroom my last visit. Because of the restroom, I've got to give this a four out of five. Parking has never been an issue, even though it's a popular spot on a popular street because there's a garage literally right around the corner and another one just the next block down where the movie theater is. Y'all should give it a try! They always have nice djs spinning good music and the crowd is perfect for the Alice in Wonderland theme on the walls and menu! read more

Jacob was great! He made the best drinks hands down. Best whisky sour I've ever had. If you haven't been here I definitely recommend coming in and giving it a try, you won't be disappointed. No cover fee on weekends. Huge parking lot right behind the bar. Easy walk up, the servers are friendly and attentive which is great. They actually acknowledge you even if they can't help you at that moment. Only bad thing about this place is there's only one restroom. Other than that I give this place 5/5. Staff is friendly, nice, welcoming, make bomb drinks, pleasant to talk to, bathroom is clean, counters aren't sticky, and the vibe is great. The music is popping, definitely something I can dance to. This little hip bar is a great bar hopping choice in this area, we came in to have a few drinks before dinner. The rabbit hole themed decoration was sexy in a funny way, happy hour drink specials were good on beers and well drinks. Ordered Hendrick's gin with soda water and lime, this is a very refreshing drink so I drink it more often now. The very cute bartender sure didn't skip on alcohol which was awesome. I couldn't help but had two of those strong pours, thought it was alright cause I would just eat a big dinner soon. Something about the slanted cups here is just interesting. The vibe is definitely more chill, though i really like the aesthetic of the bar area (which doesn't match the rest of the place IMO). I like that the Happy Hour is pretty open to a lot of different cocktails. I had the HH old fashioned (with well whiskey) and it was still pretty good. It's definitely not as good as what i'd imagine the non-HH version tastes like, but for $5 or wtvr it was, I can't complain! It tasted strong but I swear it had zero alc in it because I felt absolutely nothing. Got a mai tai next and it was also pretty gross. Tasted strong with no other mai tai flavor elements. My friend came to visit me, so we walked to Rabbit Hole for a quick drink. We were seated at the bar and the bartender was really friendly. Instead of ordering a HH cocktail, we opted for the craft cocktail called the Sailor Moon because it sounded super appealing with the tropical fruit juices. Bartender was nice enough to warn us that it's one of the sweeter drinks on the menu, but we decided to try it anyway. The cocktail presentation was excellent; the cocktail was a vibrant orange color with tons of decorations, such as an orchid flower, mint leaves, and orange slice. It also tasted refreshing without a ton of alcoholic flavor, but definitely too sweet for my liking. Overall, the Rabbit Hole is a great hangout spot just to catch up with friends. I've passed by it at night and it seems popping! I'm eager to bring more friends here in the future for a GNO. read more

Alice and Wonderland theme? Why not? We decided to venture to this location, on a Thursday, for my bestfriend's birthday. I have to say that the lounge/bar looks cooler in pictures, but we wanted to see it in person. The bartenders are very nice and the decor looks neat, but you can't really hear the music. There were quite a lot of people on a Thursday, open space, and lots of room to dance if you wish. The couches were very comfy and the library background is unique along with the lights similar to that of Disneyland's Alice in Wonderland lamps. HH 8-10pm Tues-Sat (All day Wed) is limited to $5 well drinks/draft beers. We made it in time for 1 drink on HH and the others were regular price ~$13 for Jamie mix & I think beer was still $6. Hard liquor was presented in a tilted cup and we could see how someone could accidentally spill the drinks. Although, I wouldn't mind coming back for a drink or two just to sit around and hangout. Definitely an older crowd and this bar is more of a speciality bar. I'm not a fan of mixed drinks unless it's for this style of drinking. A good note was that our drinks were poured on the heavier side. read more
