Stopped here a couple of times during the weekend stay. Its a classic bar with good cocktails. I got the Old Fashioned and the Langham 75. Both were great. I love the ice cubes with their logo. Classic hotel bar but with a classy twist, good views and good music.

Came here for a quick drink before dinner plans and the atmosphere here is so nice. The Langham hotel of course is amazing and there's a large window in the bar area where u can see great views outside. I ordered a lemon drop martini and it was STRONG but tasted so good! I was feeling it quite a bit already halfway through the drink. They gave us bar snacks which we finished quickly, and when we asked for more they gave us a whole tray! I would definitely come back again for the drinks and maybe even to try the food!

Went here on a Friday night about 8-10pm Rachel was our server. We ordered two martinis with Tito. It tasted like rubbing alcohol. We changed to white wines....Food...ordered sliders they were good! Nice flavor and three sliders were filling. Popcorn chicken was a good portion except dudnt expect the mystery 5 spice flavor to it so sent it back for flatbread pizza. Server didn't explain the portion size well. i actually would order it again! Rachel did not speak up and had to ask us to repeat our orders on the food and took a long time to bring the wines. She said it's hard to hear with the loud music (my reply wanted to say so lean in closer or change jobs!) Best part of the night was the live duo music piNi and singer who sounded terrific and played a horned instrument. Sadly he told me they are getting replaced with a band (sad).

Wow! This place is great! Raul helped us out in the beginning and he was so helpful. Love that jazz music playing well we're sipping on drinks and eating like kings and queens. Every dish was surprisingly delicious. I just thought the drinks were gonna be good, but even better. Really like the cozy vibe, yet fancy decor. I wish I can be here every other night- seriously.

    Loved the Parmesan cheese!

Our server Sean was so wonderful. Everything we ordered was delicious. Their charcuterie plate was my favorite. Drinks were fantastic. Would definitely come back again to relax and enjoy :)

I arrived super late at the hotel but still wanted to go and get a drink so I walked over to The Tap Room at 10 o'clock at night and I'm really glad I did. The bartender was super nice and gave me some really good drink recommendations, which I went with. I turned one of the mocktails into a cocktail and that was definitely a move. Prices here a bit expensive, but it was expecting that since it's a hotel bar. Definitely loved the vibe and here and the atmosphere. It was really cute and I definitely would go back and try the food next time if the kitchen is open.

Great bar with an old school vibe that is perfect for the Langham. Open seating with comfy couches, tables and outside seating. Because it's in the langham the service is excellent. Although it's at a proper hotel the dress code is casual. On weekends they have live jazz. It's wonderful.

We came in for some drinks and quick bites before our Halloween event at the Huntington garden. This lounge is spacious with a very beautiful patio area. A lot of comfy couches all over the place. We chose a cozy couch by the window which was very relaxing. We had vesper martini, sparkling rose, grilled octopus (gf), spicy tuna tartare and smash burger. Everything was very tasty and the portions were perfect for bar fares. They have limited gluten free items on the menu. The service was top notch which lives up to 5 star hotel standards. They were playing Dodgers world series on tv but we couldn't stay and watch. So this is a good place to watch sports too. I really liked our lounge experience, will definitely come back from time to time! Ps. Valet was $15 with validation

ORIGIN: The Tap Room opened in 2010 as part of an initiative to revamp food and beverage destinations that are available within the hotel. It is named after the hotel's first bar that had opened in the 1930s. LOCATION: The Tap Room is located in the hotel currently known as the Langham Pasadena. ATMOSPHERE: The interior is dark and moody, with leather upholstered seats, cases of books, table lights, and a fireplace. A covered terrace with plush patio furniture offers an alternative environment to enjoy a cocktail, small dishes, or dessert while overlooking the quintessentially Southern California landscape. SERVICE: Service is attentive. On my most recent visit I was introduced to the manager, Stephanie, who was especially welcoming after my delayed arrival from NYC. EXPERIENCE: It is good to see the Tap Room is so popular, including customers who are local residents. During Thursday-Saturday evenings live music can complement the experience. The kitchen is shared with another restaurant in the hotel. Dishes are uneven in execution, but I have identified a high level and reliable combination that is both well presented and prepared: the former Jalapeño Crush, now called Tropical Lightning after roses of the same name in the community's garden ($23), and Spicy Tuna Tartare ($18). The cocktail is composed jalapeño-infused tequila with a refreshing mix of pineapple, cucumber, and lime juice. TIP: The kitchen closes at 10 PM, but nuts are freely available. Discounted parking fee for Tap Room customers.

The Tap Room a nice jazz-themed spot with a cozy, upscale vibe. The live music, classy interior, and atmosphere make it perfect for a chill night out. The drinks are incredible ......I've tried a lot of Old Fashioneds (my favorite drink) at different places, but theirs is easily the best one I've ever had. They also have some delicious appetizers, though I wouldn't come here super hungry since they don't serve full meals. Overall, it's a beautiful, relaxing place to grab a drink, enjoy some music, and unwind. Solid 5/5

This hidden gem of history is located in the most beautiful residential area of Pasadena. My first time here...How did that happen? Never again. This girl will definitely be back. Excellent service from the minute we arrived. *Valet only my friends - $25 or $15 with validation inside The Tap Room. We walked through the gorgeous lobby making our way to the left corridor to the back of the hotel. Once we entered, David greeted us and told us to sit where ever we liked. We had a "Goldilocks" moment...what can I say...we moved 2 x's until we grabbed the sofa by the fireplace which became available! Woo hoo! Our server was the amazing Jorge. We LOVED HIM!!!! Very attentive, friendly & quite frankly sweeter than sweet! Diego also came around to help. He was fabulous too! They brought us water and some yummy snacks. I ordered the "Twilight Zone," prickly pear, lime, tequila and agave. Yum! ($21) My yelp friend ordered "Tropical Lightening," cucumber, lime, jalapeño, pineapple, cilantro, tajin rim ($23). We shared the Truffle Fries ($12) huge serving! And the charcuterie & cheese board ($28). Beautiful presentation! We didn't finish either. Lol. 8:00pm the entertainment started with a very talented pianist. So, the evening was a hit! *Check the website for the "Live Music" schedule. Usually Thursday - Sunday at the Tap Room. *Dress is casual- but that word is not in this fashionista's vocabulary... A little pricey but sometimes the experience is worth the $$$.

I was staying at the hotel during Christmas week and really loved the vibes. It was always busy whenever I passed by, with a mix of young professionals, ladies' gatherings, families with kids--just about everyone. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to stop and have a drink myself

Whether you're here to stay at the hotel, celebrate an event, or study, the tap room is such a nice place to visit and relax at. I did not have the pleasure of trying their food, but the service was great when I needed to get rosé for my table. The inside seating is amazing and is nothing short of classy. The dress code is relatively casual, but there will be a lot of people that are wearing suits and dresses and just looking really good. You will not feel out of place regardless.

First off, I have to praise 1933 group because I have loved every single bar they have revitalized and this one is no different. In keeping with their MO, The Lucky Tiki is a speakeasy with a vintage vibe. I won't give away how to get in but let's just say, it's near the front of Highland Park Bowl. My husband and I didn't have a reservation, but we were able to put our name in and got seated about an hour or so later. I was amazed as soon as I walked in the door! It's just floor to ceiling decorated with everything tiki. So many fun details and even interactive elements that turn on when a particular drink was ordered. That was probably my favorite part honestly. We ordered the Tiki Diablo, which is a large tiki drink with a flaming volcano. And yes it does have an interactive element. It was really good. Very fruity and strong, but not overly so. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on it and even waited to make sure my husband was back from the bathroom before lighting our drink on fire. We didn't try any food this time, but a lot of people were ordering the Hawaiian pizza. Do with that what you may. Will definitely be back ti try more drinks and food. I'm a second-generation Irish-American from New York, and St. Patrick's Day has always meant something in my family. Growing up it was about heritage, family, and a little joy. Now that I have two daughters of my own -- very Irish-looking girls who are proud of their roots -- I wanted them to experience some of that same Irish pub spirit. So on St. Patrick's Day 2025, I took them to Griffin's of Kinsale in South Pasadena. They were so excited to be there -- the decorations, the music, the feeling of a real Irish pub. For a moment I thought, this is going to be a great memory for them. We came early because it was a school night. The restaurant was busy -- which is understandable on St. Patrick's Day. I ordered three salmon dinners for my daughters and myself. The bill came to about $150. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Over an hour and a half. During that entire time: * No one warned us the kitchen was backed up when we ordered. * No one checked on our table. * No updates. * No communication at all. Had someone simply said "Just so you know, food may take an hour or more tonight," I could have made a different decision -- especially with two kids who had school the next morning. Instead we sat downstairs watching the clock while the evening disappeared. By the end of the night my daughters -- who had been so excited walking in -- were tired, hungry, and miserable. When I asked to speak with a manager, no one came. No explanation. No apology. Restaurants get slammed on holidays. Kitchens fall behind. That happens. But ignoring a table for 90 minutes -- especially a family with children -- isn't a busy night. It's bad management. What should have been a fun St. Patrick's Day memory for my daughters turned into a long, uncomfortable evening where we felt completely invisible. For a place that trades so heavily on Irish identity and hospitality, this was about as far from hospitality as you can get. Save your $150 and celebrate St. Patrick's Day somewhere that actually wants you there. And if management would like to explain how a family ends up waiting 90 minutes with no communication, I'd genuinely be interested to hear it.

Had a dinner reservation with some girlfriends celebrating two of their birthdays. The restaurant itself isn't too big but it does a pack a nice punch. Cute patio out front that takes some of the sidewalks and streets. Plenty of heat lamps which helped with the chilly nights. We got seated at one of the tables on the patios which was nice. Didn't really utilize inside area except for the restroom which it's quite cute in there. The rooms were pretty well decorated and executed. Nice bar area too. Like mentioned, we got seated on the patio and the heat lamps were great. Down to the menus, it's quite limited on dishes. Seemed like there were more shared plates versus the entrees. Drinks, it was fairly decent with their cocktails and wine. Service at the beginning was great. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We didn't order right away as we were still waiting for the last one to show. But did start off with some drinks. It didn't take that long for the first round which was nice. Food wise, the shared plate was a mixture of everything. Some of the olives, which is exactly what it is. The Belgian fries, nice thick cut fries with shredded pecorino cheese and a nice aioli sauce. We ended up getting a second order of it. The albacore tuna crudo was a hit which was really tasty. Chili ginger relish, mint and shallot, can't go wrong with that. Lastly the meatballs, tasty and very great for sharing. Entrees, the pan seared sea bass which I loved. Portion is pretty tiny which also seemed like they were a shared plate. Almost tapas styled. Nice chimichurri sauce and a side salad. The chicken Milanese also with a side salad of arugula. Simple dish but quite tasty. One of the salads that was somewhat hyped up by the waitress but it was just a salad. Decent but nothing major to rave about...lol... also the confit oyster mushrooms was major hit. Something that simple but quite tasty. And lastly the pan con tomate, rustic sourdough with tomatoes and burrata. Tasty as well. Overall the meal was good. From there, the second round of drinks did take a long time to arrive and with then plates that we shared, trying to get someone to clear the plates was another thing. Took a long for someone to clear the table before more items came. Even when the entrees came, all the empty starter plates were still there. And if someone did clear the plates, some was still left on the table. Finishing off the night, we did have the dessert which we tried all three. As it was two of our girlfriends birthday, they brought out a little bubbly for us to celebrate with the dessert. That was quite sweet and nice. Honestly opinion with the dessert, they were just ok. Nothing major to rave about. We tried all three on the menu and they were just ok. Overall, the food was great. Service was nice and the staffs were all very friendly. It did take a while for plates to get cleared from the table and second round did take a while, but it was manageable. It was a sweet gesture with the bubbly with the dessert which was greatly appreciated. The place is nice and great for catching up. Menu is limited and portions are quite small. You would have to get a good amount for sharing. Entrees, depending on what you order is small as well. But we enjoyed ourself.

We went and…read morehad three small plates at the bar (biscuits, celery salad and shrimp) and a couple of glasses of wine for me and cocktail for my husband. Very enjoyable -- top quality food. Parking is pretty easy because there is a parking lot that is free right around the corner. I believe it's Mentor -- or if you just drive a block or two away there's free residential parking. It's hit or miss if you find parking on Mission. But the Mission District of South Pasadena is historic and fun to walk around. The staff was incredibly attentive and you could tell very committed to their food and wine program. The patio outside really nice. We were able to walk in at 5:30 and eat at the bar-- and they could not have been more accommodating, even though we did not have reservations. Sitting at the bar given that it's an open kitchen we could see the commitment to made to order food and it's the type of place that if anyone did have an issue with their meal, I am sure they would rectify it. They let me try sips of the wine before I bought a glass. And the front of the house was very warm. We live in the Garvanza area of NE Los Angeles and we will definitely be back.

We made a later reservation and would have stayed longer but didn't know just how much of an experience it would be. Vibes here are dark and moody, and it would be a great place for a unique date, just maybe not the first one. We got the beef tartare and spicy tuna crispy rice to munch on. The spicy tuna crispy rice was worth it, the beef tartare not so much. Also decided to do the drink omakase because they make the single drink prices so expensive it still feels more worth it to do the omakase so you end up getting that instead. You tell the server what you do and don't like or are looking for in your drinks and the bartenders will make them for you. Some might be already on the menu, some may not. If there is something you really don't like and you tell the servers, they will be kind enough to replace it for you with something you do. Overall they did a good job with making mine but didn't quite hit it for my friend. The omakase is at least 3 drinks, so be prepared to have transportation after, you may be a little drunk Overall would come back or bring other people here just for the unique experience, but it is pricier than just grabbing a cocktail at a normal bar.

Great ambience! Creative presentation of cocktails…read more A bit pricey- but I look forward to coming back with friends :)
