Really nice and cozy bar, their decoration is very exotic and unique every where you look, they have a live dj, the sit you in tables, they don't have a bar area, the place can be good for a intimate celebration with 2 or more people, the staff is very nice and friendly, people don't go much for food but we get to try a few items and it was delicious, drinks are make by real chefs and that is why they are very pricey.

Cool speakeasy hidden away in downtown Pasadena. I won't spoil exactly how to find it, but it's hidden somewhere inside the Indiana Colony Market. Make a reservation, since I saw a large group were turned away due to a reservation issue. The ambiance and service were both great, and our server was very attentive throughout the night. The cocktails on the menu was creative and thoughtfully curated. Everything was well-crafted, though personally I tend to prefer stronger cocktails over infused-style drinks, so they felt a bit lighter to me. I ordered the Beauty and the Beast cocktail, which was presented in a unique pretty flower-shaped glass. We also ordered the Hot Honey Pizza, but it ended up taking quite a while, so unfortunately we had to cancel it. Overall, cool and unique spot worth checking out.

The ambiance and service was great! The place itself was very chic. I liked the decor. The food was not bad, but it was a bit pricey for some of the food. The drinks here were good. I had a mocktail and I don't exactly remember the name of it but it was some type of Beauty and Beast drink. It had a peach flavor to it and the glass cup itself was very pretty. Also they do not allow flash photography inside of the bar and restaurant. It's a great place to celebrate a birthday or special occasion.

If you come here expect to spend quite a bit more than you would at a standard cocktail bar, and be prepared to spend at least a couple hours. We made a later reservation and would have stayed longer but didn't know just how much of an experience it would be. Vibes here are dark and moody, and it would be a great place for a unique date, just maybe not the first one. We got the beef tartare and spicy tuna crispy rice to munch on. The spicy tuna crispy rice was worth it, the beef tartare not so much. Also decided to do the drink omakase because they make the single drink prices so expensive it still feels more worth it to do the omakase so you end up getting that instead. You tell the server what you do and don't like or are looking for in your drinks and the bartenders will make them for you. Some might be already on the menu, some may not. If there is something you really don't like and you tell the servers, they will be kind enough to replace it for you with something you do. Overall they did a good job with making mine but didn't quite hit it for my friend. The omakase is at least 3 drinks, so be prepared to have transportation after, you may be a little drunk Overall would come back or bring other people here just for the unique experience, but it is pricier than just grabbing a cocktail at a normal bar.

A cool experience if you've never been... A speakeasy vibe. On the pricer side but the drinks are worth it. Portions or food are a bit small. All staff have been extremely friendly and helpful the times I've gone. The images around will have you thinking, "Ughh... Where am I?"

Ladies and Gentlemen was a sultry speakeasy experience for themed cocktails and light bites in a basement. It wasn't difficult to spot, as there was a sign at the Indiana Colony Market. Just look for the Wanderlust and go towards the back of the building! We were then greeted by the doorman who had a series of questions. After that you are led to the bathroom, which then leads you to the space. Their cocktail names are catchy, due to the names being irreversible binomials. For example, we ordered the Beauty and The Beast cocktail (delicious and pretty drink btw!) and Friends and Neighbors cocktail. Other ones include Day and Night, Born and Raised, and Rise and Shine. They even have an omakase experience if you really wanted to try the bartender picks. For a bite, we ordered a steak tartare. It was a light-handed portion, enough for a small bite between two people if you just want something to eat in between sips. It was decent, however, not filling and I would get food elsewhere. This is a great speakeasy in the heart of Old Town Pasadena, I'd recommend it if you're looking for tasty and innovative drinks! I loved all our drinks, and the service was excellent from beginning to end.

Ladies and Gentlemen is a speakeasy-style bar located inside the Indiana Colony Market in old town Pasadena. To get here, walk through the building past Wanderlust Creamery and head downstairs. You'll come across a bunch of restrooms but little do you know, one of the restroom doors is actually the entrance to the bar. We called to make a reservation for our large party of 11 but for smaller parties you can make resrvations online at Resy. Once you walk in you'll come across a vintage and modern decor. It has leather-like seats, golden skulls everywhere, celebrity portraits all over the walls, and provocative art pieces. The sand and time ($24) came in a teapot and got more herbaceous the longer the drink steeped. It was good, balanced, and I preferred it when it steeped longer. The old and fashioned ($24) was strong and spirit-forward. The a gentleman and a scholar ($24) came in a beaker and had spice notes from the cinnamon and clove. The cocktails were theatrical and creative in their presentation. For food we had the Japanese milk bread ($10), the new crispy rice ($18), the hot honey pizza ($22), and the caviar parfait ($48) which were all delicious. The milk bread was fresh and came with a sweet and a savory butter and I preferred the latter. Of the food we ordered the crispy rice was my favorite. Overall the bar had cool vibes and great service. You'll definitely pay a pretty penny for the drinks here. It was great with a large party to try the different drinks and ooh-and-ahh when they all come out in their own unique presentations.

A Gentleman and a Scholar; Life and Death

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening out to Ladies and Gentlemen in downtown Pasadena. The ambience is definitely 5/5 with the dim lighting, black and gold motif, and excellent hospitality. Our server was definitely an enthusiast for the food and drink offerings on the menu. I wish I could hear her better over the EDM music playing but I got the gist of it. We were offered three types of water to start with: filtered, bottled, or sparkling. We opted for filtered, which arrived chilled and with a choice of lemon, orange or lime slice, which was a lovely touch. We ordered the Afghani flat bread to start with--it was pretty bland but was a good palate cleanser between cocktails. In contrast, the new crispy rice was super flavorful and had a really enjoyable combination of textures between the rice and the smoked salmon on top. My two drink choices were the Life and Death, followed by the Born and Raised. My husband's were A Gentleman and A Scholar, followed by Angels and Demons. The cocktails here are fun in terms of catchy names and creative presentation. 4/5. Overall I enjoyed the experience and it's a great place to come for a date night.

Annoyed because they forgot I had a reservation booked... Also annoyed because the waiter suggested me what ended up being the worst cocktail that we all got which was the berries and flowers. Beauty and the beast was by far the best tasting one. Movies and popcorn was good. Ma and la was good. Coffee and biscuits was a bit stronger than I would've liked. Overall would go back, but I guess just earlier in the night.

Finding Ladies and Gentlemen is intentionally part of the night. Entry starts through the Wanderlust / Pie Hole mini mall. If Wanderlust Creamery is still open, staff can open the door for you; otherwise, you'll need to loop around and enter from the back. From there, you take the elevator down to the basement level, which signals you're heading somewhere off-menu. IDs are checked before you go in, and you're given the chance to use the restroom beforehand -- a detail that makes sense once you see how the space unfolds. A concealed door leads into a dimly lit bathroom, and pressing a flush button reveals the actual bar hidden behind it. It's clever and theatrical without crossing into cheesy. Inside, the space leans dark, moody, and curated, with a strong emphasis on atmosphere. The cocktail program is thoughtful and well-executed -- drinks are creative, balanced, and clearly designed with intention. Cocktails run around $24, with mocktails closer to $20, which is undeniably expensive, but the quality and experience mostly justify the price point. We were also told the team runs two additional speakeasies across the street -- one tucked behind a deli and another concealed wine bar -- which adds context to how deliberate and interconnected the concept feels. All in all, a polished speakeasy that prioritizes experience, design, and well-made drinks. Not an everyday stop, but a solid choice if you enjoy immersive bars and don't mind paying for the novelty done right.

Initially, I headed to Pasadena hotel and Pool's bar, but they were closing early, so the bartender recommended I try out Ladies and Gentlemen. Such a great recommendation! Arrived on a whim at around 9pm. This place is a little hard to find, but if you head to the back of the little food court and take the elevator down, you'll arrive in a mysterious lobby (filled with bathrooms). You give your ID to the impeccably dressed gentleman who checks your ID and guides you to one of the resrtooms. You Press Flush and are magically transported to the inside of the bar and directly to the Hostess at the front. The interior is dark and sexy; Exactly what I want from a speakeasy environment. I was immediately sat at one of the tables and I noticed all the lovely people enjoying themselves. This place is DEFINITELY a spot for couples. If you wanna wow your significant other, come here. Its perfect for that. Me, I was on one of my world famous solo adventures, so I will definitely make it back here on a date. I do wish they had some bar top seating, It would have been better for me, but not every place is solo date friendly and thats perfectly ok. For drinks! I started with the Beauty and the Beast. Fruity delicious and refreshing. I loved it and the presentation. Very instagrammable. Next, I had the This and That - definitely the most interesting of the trio of drinks I tried. Dry, spicy, and with a sesame oil float. Definitely unexpected, but i did enjoy. Finally, I had the Apple and Pie - probably my favorite out of the bunch! It was refreshing, with cinnamon and apple flavors. Refreshing a little like Christmas at the same time. Apparently they make the apple cider in house, which was super cool. Customer service was impeccable! I had a few waiters and they were all great! Nice visit to Ladies and Gentlemen! The drinks were on the pricier side, but with the ambiance and customer service, it was totally worth it. I will definitely be back with a date in tow. This is the sexy little cocktail bar of your dreams.

Ladies and Gentlemen is such a fun speakeasy in Old Town Pasadena. The entrance is like an escape room that leads you to a beautiful and dark restaurant/bar. Service was spectacular. Our server was so friendly and provided great recs from the huge cocktail menu. Got the Beauty & the Beast and the Man on Fire if I remembered correctly. My friend and I love cocktail bar hopping and we both agreed that drinks were thoroughly made. All the ingredients were nicely blended together into cohesive cocktails!

I was pleasantly surprised when I sent an email to the address on the website and received a reply with the password in a little over thirty minutes. After parking, we didn't have any problems finding the entrance even though it is not marked. Look for the big wood double doors and doorman standing in front. After giving him the password, he opened the doors and we walked in. We were surprised in several ways. The place is way bigger than I would expect for a place named "The Speakeasy". And at 6:30pm on a Sunday, we were the only guests inside. Only one other couple came in during the 30 minutes we were there. I would assume they are a lot busier on Friday and Saturday night. It is dimly lit, and very red inside. The bar is large with many bottles of liquor on display and many seats. The rest of the space is one large area that must have at least 20 tables, and the ceiling is high. It gives off more of a nightclub vibe than a speakeasy vibe. I tried the Naked & Famous cocktail which has two of my favorite spirits (Vida mezcal, aperol, yellow Chartreuse, lime, $18). It was nicely balanced with a good mix of smoke and herbal flavor. She had the Pablo's Poison (Altos reposado tequila, strawberry, lime, jalapeno, elderflower, $17). The jalapeno flavor really stood out with strawberry and elderflower in the background. They have a good cocktail menu with almost twenty cocktails, as well as a food menu with ten items. Walk up to the bar to order your drinks. Jeremy, the manager, and the female bartender whose name who I didn't get were nice. We aren't in Pasadena very often, and while they have a good cocktail menu, I don't know if we would return. Being in a party of 4 girls coming from high tea, we were dressed in elegant dresses, first comment was asking if we were coming from church, followed by eye flutters, short "okay" with an upward inflation to a joke about the day, an impatient comment about hurrying up and trying the wine while we were talking, asked for water when we were out, were left to pour the rest of our wine, didn't ask how the food was all the while was attentive to the table behind us, the cherry on top comment was when we were discussing the bill at the end, he was hovering at the table behind ours, then when we were ready, we asked to split the bill into 2, my portion on mine and the rest on another card, he then said "this isn't like a drive through, we can't do it that way" so I asked him to explain his comment, cause it was passive agressive and rude. After he wasnt able to becuase he wasnt expecting me to call out his rude comment, I had to then break it down and specify what I had ordered, he then sold "okayyyy....so how much, cause we don't itemize?" I had to again express for him to specify how they do it cause he has still yet to explain where his attitude is coming from and explain how they do their check splits, from my understanding it just felt like he wanted to play dumb and make me to the math, one I did he was like "ohh, okay" should have asked for the manager but we paid and left, I hasnt had this experience before being a returning customer, but he needs an attitude adjustment as his attitude was completely out of pocket. Do better Manuel, you alone got your place of work a 1 star. The rest of the staff was kind, facility beautiful and food and wine was good. This restaurant is not reflected in the 1 star.

When we walked in, there was a tall, bald male bartender and a blonde female bartender working--neither of whom I've seen here before. We ordered two drinks, but the service from the male bartender was inattentive from the start. At one point, my friend tried to get someone's attention to ask for a lime and wasn't acknowledged. She ended up grabbing a lime herself from the garnish tray--which I understand isn't ideal--but the response we got was completely out of line. The male bartender became immediately hostile and started aggressively cursing at my friend. When I calmly asked the female bartender if this was normal behavior, he inserted himself into the conversation and said, "she put her fucking hand in the fucking jar," in a very confrontational tone. I tried to de-escalate the situation and respectfully explained that there was no reason to speak to us that way, but he continued the hostility and ultimately told us to "get the fuck out." At that point, I paid for our drinks and we left. What made this especially disappointing is that this has never been our experience here before. We've always enjoyed this bar and have had positive interactions with the regular staff. If this had been my first visit, I would not come back. I understand that what my friend did wasn't appropriate, but it absolutely did not justify being yelled at and cursed out. I hope management addresses this, because this kind of behavior is not reflective of the bar I've come to know.

They have games in the back of the bar (beer pong, connect four, jenga, etc). This was my first time here, I may have been early, but there was no wait and no one sitting at the bar when I walked in. I'm sure it will get pretty busy as the night goes on.

They do not take reservations and it gets pretty busy around 8ish so I recommend you show up around 7:30pm just before the live music starts. The ambience is moody and romantic, featuring deep hues and prohibition era decor, there are comfortable chairs with small cocktail tables and large leather couches for larger parties. The drinks were well poured and very tasty, highly recommend the Huntington for a bold drink that's ideal for the setting. This is a great place for a sexy and intimate date night. The live music was spectacular, some seriously good vocals, and the jazzy and soul selection was again impeccably matched for the ambiance. I enjoyed that all of the guests were dressed nicely, nothing I love more than an opportunity to slip on a sexy dress and heels while still staying local. This is the place if you want a reason to dress up. The food menu was limited and not my favorite but everything else was so unique and satisfying that I can overlook the food not being my favorite. The squash blossoms were very good but not very filling, the beet dip was a bit too sweet for my liking. This will definitely be a nice treat for date night, can't wait to come back.

The Music started at 7pm. Much to my disappointment, the Menu offerings were very different from that published online. None of the offerings were appealing, really. We ended-up splitting a cheeseburger (at a ritzy Pub?), really. The snack noshies/nuts were flavorless. The drinks were strong, but very pricey, in keeping with their 5-star rating, I suppose. Our waiter became overwhelmed as the Tap Room filled. I understand. There was a Party of 20 adjacent to our table. It was too hot outside to sit at a table on their lovely patio, so we spent our two+ hours in the hub-bub that was The Tap Room on a Thursday night in the August summer.
