    Bun rieu

I think this place is fairly new and very excited that a pretty good all around Vietnamese place opened up around my area. The place is really spacious. As soon as you walk in, you get that pho aroma and the Vietnamese music playing in the restaurant just brings back nostalgia from when I used to live in San Gabriel. The food is pretty authentic as they come for Vietnamese dishes. This time, I just got the bun rieu and a con tan bi cha son nuong to go but will definitely come back and check out the other items. Prices are fair and service is good. They check on quite often but not enough to annoy you so that's a plus for me. Definitely give this spot a try if you haven't.

What I order was pretty good. The only thing is that the broth wasn't too hot. I work roughly only 1 mile away. I need to dine in to compare.

Food- 5 Service- non-existent Ambience- untidy Since they are relatively new based on the three Yelp reviews, we'll give them a pass :). Upon arrival, there was no one to greet/seat us. LoL, one of their family/friends dining at a table next to the register had to scream for a young man to come out. This was the same at the end when we needed our bill. That said, food was very good. Recently I've been obsessed with dry noodles w/soup on the side. Of course I got it w/half egg noodles and half hutieu (chewy rice/tapioca noodles). Good flavor, al dente egg noodles...perfect, just how I like it. My only complaint is that their noodles were a bit thick. Sam Woo on Valley has the best thin egg noodles. But, this bowl was well seasoned and the toppings were on point. Pho was tasty but a bit cloudy. Spring rolls were typical. My recommendation is to get it TOGO until they hire more staff.

Great food at a hidden gem. Everything was fresh and tasted home made. Looks family owned so I'm assuming every recipe is passed down from generations ago. Loved the broth in my pho. Noodles had nice texture. Fried rolls were fresh too. Not over fried, but just right with good quality fillings. Ended up ordering a Thai tea as well and that was nicely thick and creamy without being too sweet. Makes me think of a milkshake that I can take little sips of. A must mention is how clean the whole space was from the dining room to the restroom. Surprisingly clean and well kept. Best of all is the value. For the 3 items and a drink, it came to $38 total w/ tax included. Everything was good quality and tasted amazing. Great service too! Dropped a $5 tip as I was extremely satisfied here.

It's super unassuming - from the outside, you could not tell how cute/clean it is on the inside. Service is top notch here, and they have games and plenty of seating each time I've come. You order at the front and pay, and then take a seat. They have such a large variety of things - from drinks and baked goods to rice bowls or cheese steak fries. The last time we came, we got the cheese streak fries, a grilled chicken bowl, and a strawberry matcha latte. All were top notch! What was really cute too, was that the chef or server noticed we had our toddler and actually came out to warn us that the sauce might be a bit spicy with the chicken. We told him oh it's probably fine he can just eat around it, and he came out with a small bowl of rice so that we could separate out the chicken and our toddler could eat it! They completely won me over with that extra touch. They're open early (like 9am for a non brunch place) and the few times I've come in the morning for a drink, it's been pretty empty - so I really hope it was a fluke and they get plenty of business in other hours. I have also come around 7pm and seen most of the seats filled with people either working or eating/hanging out. Their baked goods are also really good (I think they are made there, but not certain!). Bonus: they have a large connect 4 outside that my toddler loves to play with and there should be plenty of parking in the small plaza, especially later in the day.

I also added a side order of the Fried Dough Stick ($3.50) or also known as the crueler or Chinese donut since I like to have it with my congee. It wasn't needed from a portion perspective but I just like it. The food came out quickly, the congee first and then the fried dough stick and porkchop & egg pineapple bun. What a feast! The ladies at the lady next to me were so excited at my spread they asked me what I got. They thought I was really pro but it was actually just my first visit. Inside the pineapple bun there was a fried egg, porkchop, tomato, lettuce, and sauce. It was a huge sandwich. This is one of the bigger pineapple buns I see and it was well stuffed. The amount of food I ordered was enough to feed 2 people. The congee was really subtle. I didn't get the fried scallop that is in the name... I would just perceive it as a plain congee. The fried dough stick was oily and didn't taste too fresh. I probably won't order it next time. Nevertheless a still overall fabulous meal. My tea was refilled before I had the chance to ask. When I asked for the check, they knew to bring me togo containers without me having to ask too. Very smart service! I had a great meal here and I will definitely come back if I wake up early enough to come at opening.
