Egg roll condiments

Restaurant was a decent size and clean. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was really good. It was served hot, fresh, and flavorful. The prices were very fair. We will be back soon to try other dishes.

Always hit the spot Brother is rich and full flavor They Al's offer chili oils Seasoned onion pieces Just ask! This place never disappoints Service 5/5! The guys kept up asking every now and then if we needed anything, good service and we appreciate that! Ambiance 3/5 no frills but decent family owned spot! Must try!

Ambiance - Simple, casual, and homey. It's a small place with a few parking spots of their own but not super roomy for parking. Inside there is a decent amount of seating for a cozy sized restaurant like this. Service - Sweet and friendly people. They try their best to serve and be helpful. Accidentally made my drink wrong and blended the ice so they offered to re-make but I didn't mind so I told them it wasn't necessary. Food - It hurts me to say but it was middle of the road. Good enough to satisfy a craving without having to go all the way down to OC area but not what my mom was looking for. I personally also didn't like the veggie eggrolls. The wrap was crunchy and crispy but I fear it also was thick and I didn't care for it. Filling was also whatever. Somewhat bland and mushroom tofu forward. Probably wouldn't be back but we gave this place a shot and so should you! Our standards just tend to be high and we're extreeeemely picky eaters.

Egg roll super dry and hard to chew, tossed away at the end

Searched for Vietnamese food in the area and came across this restaurant with over 4 stars reviews. Ordered their Bun Bo Hue and egg roll. The Bun Bo Hue doesn't taste authentic. The egg roll was super dried and chewy till a point I can't even bite it. It doesn't taste fresh at all. Definitely don't recommend this restaurant if you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food.

Beef fresh rolls

We tried this place while visiting the area. The beef spring rolls were very tasty with the sauce although the sauce is a little sweet. I had the beef noodle soup with brisket and thin beef and it was very good and filling. My friend had the shrimp and pork blood soup and it had a strange smell and taste. Also the AC was very cold in December I'm not sure why it has to be so cold.

First time here and loving this place already! My mom and I asked the first server what he'd recommend-to which he was like "uhhh idk" lol, But then who I assumed to be the owner came around and gave us great recommendations-always ask, it never hurts. I got the #5 with well done beef brisket and flank, I was also shown how to eat my pho with a type of beef oil and pickled onions with a couple different sauces-which was all new to me. Everything was so good, I got a regular sized pho, but it was pretty big and didn't skimp on the beef. Excellent service and the food was a 10/10

This place is a great local Viet place to get your fix. The staff is very nice and attentive, accommodating and very helpful and the food is great. I've had the com tam dishes with grilled pork and the pork chop. Overall, great amount of food and great flavor. The appetizer sampler is great value and the spring rolls are excellent. I've had the shrimp and lean pork spring rolls and those were wrapped very well and flavorful. My friends often get the pho dac biet and bun bo hue which are also great.

Coming from LA this is my go to Pho Spot 2nd time here and it did not disappoint . The flavor of the pho and the portions is amazing. That bbq spring roll "Nem Nuong Cuon" is bussin. Great customer service with old school Vietnam vibe.

Mi bo kha-beef stew with egg noodles absolutely sublime

This has been a long standing pillar in the El Monte community. When you want to feel the love and warmth of locals and this business you will fall in love. I've been a patron for many a years and my go to is their (mi bo kho) beef stew egg noodles. Its savory, meaty and delicate broth gives your soul the nourishment it yearns for. Decor is as clean as it can be for decades of service but their cuisine is superb. Truly adore the service and exceptional pricing.

This place is listed today as having outdoor seating. Is it still available? If it is, is it covered or heated? How many people can sit there? / April 8, 2023

This location no longer has outdoor seating.

What's current price of the super bowl pho, the number 1 dish on the menu?

18.95

Is it open? We keep calling to place an order, but it goes to an automated message, voicemail box not set up to leave a message.

Yes is open, I think they disconnect their phone since they are so busy

We just drove to eat here again, and there was a note on the door saying they're closed on Tuesdays. Does anyone know if this is just for awhile, or will this be a permanent thing?

I'm pretty sure it's a permanent thing, many other Asian restaurants close on Tuesday's, not sure why but they recently started closing Tuesday's.

Heard the owners sold the place recently, can we confirm?

Nope same awesome family

what a pleasant surprise today. I read the reviews but didn't expect much considering it was off…read morethe beaten path and I dont typically agree with a lot or reviews on yelp. I always order the no.1 at new pho places as it's always the same combination and it was really good. Northern style pho broth which is a mild broth but not in a bland way, very tasty, clean and didn't have any taste of msg or bouillon/dashi. the typical cheat code a lot of places seem to use to pack some flavor. im not saying it was void of any but I couldn't make it out being asian. hidden gem that could rival any Westminster pho. nice ladies and clean bathroom. definitely will be back.

Noodles were thin and cooked properly. The bone rib was a hard miss. It was very chewy and almost hard, as if it was old. Cooked a while ago and sitting for someone to order it. The rib itself is 4/10, if 5/10 meant acceptable. I ONLY recommend this spot if you're on your lunch break and gotta stay in the area for work. Otherwise, you should make the drive to eat better. I assume the good rating they have is due to lack of competition in the immediate area. They have a B rating as if 9/25/2024! 1.5 years and they still haven't made the effort to get right? I've eaten in many hole in the wall spots and have pretty normal standards for cleanliness as I understand how things get. But this place made me feel dirty. I'm a dude who can just stand and piss over any drain, but the restroom was disgusting. If my family was with me I would feel horrible allowing my wife or kids to have to use it. Washing your hands would make you feel dirtier, that's how bad it was. Bottom line. 6/10 If you must remain in this area, go for it. The pho is good enough. If you have options and time 4/10, steer clear from here until they put in the effort. If the bathroom didn't gross me out so much, I woulda took a photo.

They always have a lot of seating and are always willing to help if you have any questions or need any additional service. Their menu is extensive and they have a bunch of items, but my favorite thing to order there DIY spring rolls, as well as bun bo hue. To be honest, you could order almost anything on the menu, but those are my go to. It is quite loud in there, but there's always people inside, enjoying their food. It's a place to go and it reminds me of home when I can't get home made food. There's a bunch of TVs around if you feel like watching the news or any sports, their restrooms are relatively clean, and their parking is in a huge plaza so depending on the time you go, there should be parking! The food tastes authentic, the quality is amazing, and everything is so rich and flavorful. You can really tell they care about the food they make. It's located on the corner to the right side of Hong Kong Plaza near Haven City Market, and honestly this restaurant really stood out to me. I already love this plaza, but this place quickly became one of my favorite spots there. One thing I really love is their pork spring rolls. They make them fresh when you order, and you can definitely taste the difference. They're so fresh, delicious, and honestly one of the best spring rolls I've had in a while. They also do catering, which I definitely plan on using in the future if I ever host a party or birthday because the food is just that good. I only had one issue during one of my visits. I can't eat cucumber, so I asked for no cucumber in both my pork dish and spring rolls. They accidentally still included it in my pork dish. Thankfully, when I brought it up, they fixed it quickly and apologized right away, which I appreciated a lot. I still love this place, but I do think it's important for people with allergies or food restrictions to double check their food before eating, just to be safe. Besides that, everything else has been amazing. The restaurant has a really calm atmosphere with lots of greenery and that open, cozy Vietnamese restaurant feel. The workers are also really kind and welcoming every time I come in. I also appreciate how authentic this place feels. Whenever I'm trying food from another culture, I always want something that feels genuine, and this place definitely gives me that experience. I come here a couple times a month now, and it's honestly one of my favorite places to eat. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the cucumber issue, but overall the food and experience are still amazing.

Every bite had a great balance of herbs, noodles, and that delicious grilled pork. The bun bo hue was a huge bowl of comfort. The broth was deeply flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and it came loaded with big, meaty pork feet and pork blood that made it feel extra hearty and authentic. Definitely one of those dishes that warms your soul. We also tried the banh beo. The flour mixture was a little on the thicker side, but it was still really tasty--especially with those crispy little pieces of pork fat on top that add such a great savory crunch. All in all, a great meal and I can't wait to come back and start working my way through the rest of the menu.

That's right, 5 minutes. Although I did go around 9:50AM so there wasn't a line nor another party in the dining area. Food: I woke up craving Vietnamese and this place didn't disappoint. The Bon Rieu had the depth of flavor that I crave. Honestly, I judge most Vietnamese pho restaurants by their Bon Rieu because some places simply use seafood powder in their stock to fake it. What results is a very thinly flavored broth that has very little umami. Bon Rieu should have THE MOST umami of any soup dish because of its tomato and crab base. That's how you can tell if a place is cutting corners. The Nem Cuom is huge and the dipping sauce is generous. The House Special Tea is reminiscent of a passion fruit green tea from a boba place. Sweetened just enough to not be saccharine. Ambiance: Quite small. I believe one of their main issues may be parking during peak hours as it shares a tiny parking lot with many other businesses. HOWEVER, neighborhood parking is plentiful and just around the corner past the Sheridan Hotel and Starbucks. Round the corner and you'll find plenty of parking throughout the day.
