I recall coming here years ago but recently decided to make a stop since I was nearby. It is rare to find a good quality tofu shop with loyal business owners. I bought a couple things: pandan and regular sweet soybean milk aka dou jiang 豆浆. The tofu pudding aka dou fu fa 豆腐花 and the banh tieu which was the sesame bread. Everything was made so fresh and good. The pandan flavor is not that strong just fyi in case you think it will be strong flavored. The banh tieu was crispy and soft even when cold. The guy owner picked the good ones and not burnt ones when putting in the paper bag. He even tied up the bag to ensure the items don't fall out. Not only would I want to support small business but I very much appreciate and want to continue supporting loyal and good people operating these small businesses. He opens from 10 am to 5 pm and I believe the place is closed Wednesdays.

This place is easy to find and but the shop is very small and doesn't offer a wide selection of products. Although they have the regular items but depending on the time you go, they may run out early.

I'm shocked this place has such a good yelp rating…read more Pho was good, 7.5/10. Meats were soft and cooked right. Broth is on the lighter side but still good. Noodles were thin and cooked properly. The bone rib was a hard miss. It was very chewy and almost hard, as if it was old. Cooked a while ago and sitting for someone to order it. The rib itself is 4/10, if 5/10 meant acceptable. I ONLY recommend this spot if you're on your lunch break and gotta stay in the area for work. Otherwise, you should make the drive to eat better. I assume the good rating they have is due to lack of competition in the immediate area. They have a B rating as if 9/25/2024! 1.5 years and they still haven't made the effort to get right? I've eaten in many hole in the wall spots and have pretty normal standards for cleanliness as I understand how things get. But this place made me feel dirty. I'm a dude who can just stand and piss over any drain, but the restroom was disgusting. If my family was with me I would feel horrible allowing my wife or kids to have to use it. Washing your hands would make you feel dirtier, that's how bad it was. Bottom line. 6/10 If you must remain in this area, go for it. The pho is good enough. If you have options and time 4/10, steer clear from here until they put in the effort. If the bathroom didn't gross me out so much, I woulda took a photo.

This is a Vietnamese restaurant that also serve Chinese Foods. They have two sets of menus. One for Vietnamese dishes and the other one for Chinese dishes. Both menus offer a variety of selections. They even have Set Dinner Menu that comes with pre-set items. Have to give that a try one day. We ended up ordering the Bún Bò Huế and the Vietnamese Braised Fish. The Braised Fish did not come with steam rice, so we had to order the steam rice. For the drinks, we had the Peach Oolong Iced Tea and the 3-Colored Dessert. The Bún Bò Huế was very good. The Braised Fish was a little salty but still tasted good. The Peach Oolong Iced Tea was refreshing. The 3-Colored Dessert was very yummy. I enjoyed the sweet taste of it. They gave us orange slices for dessert on the house. The orange slices were so sweet and delicious. Will be back to try their other dishes I saw on their menus.

This soup is so pungent that the only time I get to savor it is at home and the stink doesn't leave your home for a few days. So, it is to my delight that they offer it here during the weekdays. It is a nicely stacked bowl that has everything but the kitchen sink in it - roast pork belly, catfish, squid, eggplant, and stuffed jalapeno with fried fish cake. Very filling and reasonably priced! The only reason I gave this place a 4 instead of 5 rating is because you can only order certain items from the menu when they open. I wanted to get some Chinese food to-go for my husband, but was told by the server that the other items were only available beginning at 10 am, which is odd to me.

I grew up eating pho in Saigon and IYKYK, the pho in North America vs in Saigon are distinct. One isn't inherently better than the other, it's just a matter of taste. But, I was very pleasantly surprised that the pho here comes very close to pho in Saigon, a taste I've often craved (and this is also how I cook pho at home), but haven't been able to come across in North America. Didn't think I'd find it here in the SGV vs in Orange County where I lived for 10+ yrs. Broth at Viet Huong is richer vs the clear broth favored at most places here. The brisket (thịt chín) has a little bit more fat to it which makes it less dry, cut with a meatier cut vs paper thin. The rare beef is minced a little. All the good things that remind me of the good old Saigonese pho flavors. The staff is very friendly. They all speak English really well which made me doubt the authenticity of the food (lol) but that worry was put to rest soon after my pho bowl came out. This will become my new favorite pho place.

Every bite had a great balance of herbs, noodles, and that delicious grilled pork. The bun bo hue was a huge bowl of comfort. The broth was deeply flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and it came loaded with big, meaty pork feet and pork blood that made it feel extra hearty and authentic. Definitely one of those dishes that warms your soul. We also tried the banh beo. The flour mixture was a little on the thicker side, but it was still really tasty--especially with those crispy little pieces of pork fat on top that add such a great savory crunch. On top of the food, the service was friendly and attentive, which always makes the experience even better. All in all, a great meal and I can't wait to come back and start working my way through the rest of the menu.
