I recall coming here years ago but recently decided to make a stop since I was nearby. It is rare to find a good quality tofu shop with loyal business owners. I bought a couple things: pandan and regular sweet soybean milk aka dou jiang 豆浆. The tofu pudding aka dou fu fa 豆腐花 and the banh tieu which was the sesame bread. Everything was made so fresh and good. The pandan flavor is not that strong just fyi in case you think it will be strong flavored. The banh tieu was crispy and soft even when cold. The guy owner picked the good ones and not burnt ones when putting in the paper bag. He even tied up the bag to ensure the items don't fall out. Not only would I want to support small business but I very much appreciate and want to continue supporting loyal and good people operating these small businesses. He opens from 10 am to 5 pm and I believe the place is closed Wednesdays.

This place is easy to find and but the shop is very small and doesn't offer a wide selection of products. Although they have the regular items but depending on the time you go, they may run out early.

what a pleasant surprise today. I read the reviews but didn't expect much considering it was off…read morethe beaten path and I dont typically agree with a lot or reviews on yelp. I always order the no.1 at new pho places as it's always the same combination and it was really good. Northern style pho broth which is a mild broth but not in a bland way, very tasty, clean and didn't have any taste of msg or bouillon/dashi. the typical cheat code a lot of places seem to use to pack some flavor. im not saying it was void of any but I couldn't make it out being asian. hidden gem that could rival any Westminster pho. nice ladies and clean bathroom. definitely will be back.

I'm shocked this place has such a good yelp rating…read more Pho was good, 7.5/10. Meats were soft and cooked right. Broth is on the lighter side but still good. Noodles were thin and cooked properly. The bone rib was a hard miss. It was very chewy and almost hard, as if it was old. Cooked a while ago and sitting for someone to order it. The rib itself is 4/10, if 5/10 meant acceptable. I ONLY recommend this spot if you're on your lunch break and gotta stay in the area for work. Otherwise, you should make the drive to eat better. I assume the good rating they have is due to lack of competition in the immediate area. They have a B rating as if 9/25/2024! 1.5 years and they still haven't made the effort to get right? I've eaten in many hole in the wall spots and have pretty normal standards for cleanliness as I understand how things get. But this place made me feel dirty. I'm a dude who can just stand and piss over any drain, but the restroom was disgusting. If my family was with me I would feel horrible allowing my wife or kids to have to use it. Washing your hands would make you feel dirtier, that's how bad it was. Bottom line. 6/10 If you must remain in this area, go for it. The pho is good enough. If you have options and time 4/10, steer clear from here until they put in the effort. If the bathroom didn't gross me out so much, I woulda took a photo.

They had a Chinese menu and a Vietnamese menu. Honestly, it was a tough choice. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls , and the bun Bo nuong cha gio. The dishes were prepared with quality and patience. Lots of regulars in the restaurant it seemed. On this night , there were short staffed and I had to remind my server about my order a few times. The manager came out to apologize. She was a very good manager and handled things well. She offered me a discount, but I refused. Instead, she gave me a refreshing watermelon drink on the house. I will come back, next time I'm in town.

Service was attentive, so I'd add an extra star for that. The ambiance is pretty standard--just your typical Vietnamese pho spot. I grew up eating pho in Saigon and IYKYK, the pho in North America vs in Saigon are distinct. One isn't inherently better than the other, it's just a matter of taste. But, I was very pleasantly surprised that the pho here comes very close to pho in Saigon, a taste I've often craved (and this is also how I cook pho at home), but haven't been able to come across in North America. Didn't think I'd find it here in the SGV vs in Orange County where I lived for 10+ yrs. Broth at Viet Huong is richer vs the clear broth favored at most places here. The brisket (thịt chín) has a little bit more fat to it which makes it less dry, cut with a meatier cut vs paper thin. The rare beef is minced a little. All the good things that remind me of the good old Saigonese pho flavors. The staff is very friendly. They all speak English really well which made me doubt the authenticity of the food (lol) but that worry was put to rest soon after my pho bowl came out. This will become my new favorite pho place.
