Had passed by here before and noticed the huge crowds of people and bookmarked it. Ended up here…read morewith some friends one day and enjoyed the spot. Their Bun Rieu is HUGE and very tasty. It came with a giant minced crab meat ball and some very fresh snow crab claws too. I don't recognize two of the fresh greens that they included which just makes me believe they're including harder to source less common items. Their Com Tam is pretty good too. Though I believe I had their Com Tam togo before and just thought it was okay. They even give you fermented shrimp paste for the true OGs. Side soup had tons of spare ribs in there and tasted very clean. It was 90 some degrees out but they had their AC blasting.

So far this is my favorite Vietnamese Restaurant in the SGV…read more Here's why: 1. Pho broth is deep and aromatic. Noodles are tender and fresh. 2. The Com Tam rice plates have great tasting items. One item that I hated growing up knocked my socks off. That's the shredded pork skin. This place makes it good. Also the broken rice is just fluffy eventhough it's not whole grain. 3. Do try the pho hot pot. That sliced raw beef is actually better than wagyu to me. It's tender, well balanced meat flavor, and just not as fatty as wagyu. My dad loved all the tripe, meatball, veggies that came with that hot pot. We ordered a bowl of broken rice on the side. That broth makes it like pho porridge that you get from 7 course meals. I can eat a couple of pho both and just rice. 4. Service is very quick. 5. Some waiting due to popularity of their food, but I never mind the wait because I know the food is fresh. 6. Bun Rieu is really good here. My wife always order it. 7. Plenty of street and parking lot parking.

We live about 35 miles away on the west side, so it's definitely a bit of a drive. But on 9/26, we finally had the chance to visit, and I'm really glad we did. One of the first things that made the visit special was meeting Mai (according to the receipt). She took the time to talk with my husband, complimented his name, and made him feel genuinely welcomed as a first-time customer. It may seem like a small thing, but those personal touches really do make a difference. We ordered everything to go, and we were very happy with both the food and the service. The #5 Pork Nem Roll was outstanding. I've been eating the Nem Nướng Cuốn (grilled pork spring rolls) from Brodard in Fountain Valley for a long time, and that has always been the standard I compare other pork rolls to. Some of my family members live nearby and often bring them when they visit us. Nem's pork roll was a little more expensive, but I have to say, the grilled pork was huge. The roll was plump, generously filled, and had plenty of fresh ingredients. I really enjoyed it and would happily give it 5 stars. For comparison, Brodard would be 4.5 stars in my book. We also tried the Banh Mi, which was something different for us -- charbroiled pork served on ciabatta bread. I really enjoyed it as well. I honestly wish we lived closer because there are so many other things on the menu I'd love to try. Hopefully, it won't be too long before we make the drive back. What I appreciated most was the genuine kindness throughout the visit. When my husband was leaving, Mai thanked him and called him by name. That little gesture really stayed with us. It made the experience feel personal rather than just another takeout order. Thank you, Mai, and everyone at Nem by Summer Rolls. We're looking forward to coming back.

This small family run Pho place exceeded my expectations! Here staying at the Sheraton next door…read moreand was craving for Pho and decided to try this place as it was literally a 3 minute walk from the hotel. The first thing that caught my attention was that they had a limited menu for a Pho place which tells me that these are the best dishes that they make at home that they want their customers to try! So I saw that they had Pho Ga so I had to try it. OMG!! It was so delish, the broth was well seasoned and balanced, great amount of chicken and they had this side condiment of ginger, fish sauce, lime dipping sauce that just added so much depth and umami Either you can pour this dipping sauce to your Pho or what I did was dipped my chicken and slurpped it down with my noodles and broth and it was BOMB!! Then they have crab meat egg roll which was also very good but could have added just a tinge of saltiness to just make it a home run!! Service was quick, few tables inside and will definitely come back here again and try the other Bun Bo Hue and hainan chicken. So if you're around SGV, this is a must try Pho place!!

The broth is perfectly seasoned and really ties the whole bowl together. I always ask to skip the blood cubes and opt for extra pig's feet instead, which they handle perfectly. The ratio of tender meat to fresh vegetables balances the noodles beautifully, and the satay is an absolute must-add to hit that savory umami flavor profile. All in all, I have no complaints. It's an incredibly satisfying meal, especially after a long night out with friends.

They were perfectly crispy on the outside, had lots of filling inside, and came with 6 big pieces. It also had a side of veggies and fish sauce, which I love using to wrap my egg rolls. The golden delight pho had rare meat and noodles to the side, while the other toppings came inside the sizzling pot of broth. It had lots of noodles and toppings: tripe, rare beef, tendon, meat balls, and brisket. Pho was really rich in flavor. I also loved that the sizzling pots kept the broth hot the whole time. Noodles were also very bouncy, loved the texture. Beef short ribs were also very tender and full of flavor. Although it was very busy during a Tuesday lunch hour, the waiters sat us asap. The restaurant was pretty full but the food still came out really quick. Servers were really nice and attentive. They checked on us a few times. The restaurant has lots of tables and it was clean. It gave an overall homey- atmosphere. I would definitely come here again. Pho is a great price for its quality!

Okay so I'll be the first to admit -- this place has been sitting right under my nose for who knows…read morehow long and somehow I never made it in. Honestly? Embarrassing. Moving on. So yeah, it's another Vietnamese spot in Rosemead. And before you say anything -- yes, it's a pho review. Again. Look, I don't make the rules, I just eat the soup. This place does something a little different though. Their thing is the earth stone bowl -- basically a heated stone bowl that keeps your broth stupid hot while all your toppings come on the side in separate little dishes. Cool concept, very extra, I respect the commitment. But here's the thing -- it was hot outside. Like uncomfortably, aggressively, why-am-I-outside hot. So sweating over a volcanic bowl of soup wasn't exactly on my agenda. I went with the regular bowl, picked two types of beef and tendon, and called it a day. First sip of the broth and I genuinely had to put the spoon down for a second. Not in a dramatic way -- just in a "okay, this is actually really good" kind of way. It holds up against every other spot I've been to, no question. But what got me was the flavor -- there's something subtle going on in there that's hard to put your finger on but impossible to ignore. The kind of broth that just works and doesn't need to explain itself. The toppings were solid, but the tendon was lowkey the highlight. Soft, chewy, not rubbery -- exactly what you want. Some places fumble the tendon. These guys didn't. Iced tea on the side, Saturday afternoon, nothing else going on -- honestly doesn't get much better than that. Should've come here sooner. My loss.
