[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice ambiance and friendly service and the food was okay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My wife and I shared a starter of portobello mushroom "fries" and these were not bad, accompanied with a ranch dressing sauce. I then had their fried chicken sandwich which incorporated their home brewed beer in the batter. The batter was good and the chicken was a large piece of breast meat but it was dry. The fries were okay, nothing special. My wife had the blackened haddock taco salad and she said it was okay but the haddock was also dry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, the drinks are good, lively crowd (it was trivia night and the MC was a lot of fun), so all I.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]All it's not a bad place to spend a couple hours.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Quaint place in Ogunquit, Maine. Greeted by a very friendly server. They were running a great special for 2 smaller lobsters. The lobster was fantastic. The meat was sweet and tender. The martini was a highlight. The cocktail glass was expertly chilled, and the beverage was vigorously shaken and then perfectly strained. It was finished with an even number of soft, salty olives. The attention to detail was impressive. The food was equally memorable. The staff was conscientious and knowledgeable, and I was thrilled to take advantage of the seafood specials. The fresh local oysters and amazingly seasoned calamari were particular standouts. Pepper Martin's legacy is evident in every aspect of the restaurant. My husband and I were staying nearby during our roadtrip, the front desk at our hotel recommended Pepper's for lobster rolls. We arrived in the area late, and wanted a quick dinner stop. I visited Pepper's my first night in Ogunquit. Everything so great that I made sure to come back a second time before my trip was over! The wait staff was friendly and attentive. While waiting for food my party was checked in on multiple times for beverage refills. The food came out 10-15 minutes after ordering, both on the busy weekend night and the slower weekday night I dined here. I tried the perkins cove lobster roll as well the seasonal special, a havarti & bacon lobster grilled cheese. I have tried a number lobster rolls across the Northeast and the one from Pepper's may just be my favorite. The portion of lobster both times was generous and cooked to the perfect texture. The seafood rolls and sandwiches include a side of fries or chips as well as coleslaw, and altogether it made for a very filling meal. Pepper's has gluten-free buns available for their lobster rolls and my partner noted that it was good. As a starter, I ordered the New England clam chowder which was delicious. There was a nice amount of clams and the chowder was not too salty. The New England clam chowder at Pepper's is made gluten-free by default. For drinks, there is a full bar, cocktail list, and a number of beers on tap. Pepper's has their own draft beer, the champ lager, which was refreshingly light and worth a try. Overall, a fantastic and consistent experience. I will definitely be returning to Pepper's next time I visit Ogunquit.

What a cool place to hang out at. We sat at the bar and had such amazing service..: it was a very rainy night and not many people were out. I ordered the crab quesadillas and was very surprised at how damn delicious they were. I enjoyed a few different pints of some local draft beer... the bartender let us try a few different ones. This place was great, they welcomed us I like locals. Can't wait to go back!

Had a good lunch at Peppers Seafood. It's located right in the heart of downtown Ogunquit, so it's a good place to stop while in the area. I started with a cup of clam chowder. It has that classic buttery taste which is my favorite type of chowder, so I really enjoyed this one. I then got their Lobster Roll, "Mount Aggie" style. What's cool about this place is you can order your lobster roll in different ways, which I've never seen before. The "Mount Aggie" style was mayo and hot butter--YUM. Fries were a perfect crisp and nice and hot. Lobster was good too, pretty good size and it came on a toasted roll. We ended with the Funny Bone cake which is made locally down the road at Bread & Roses Bakery. It's a chocolate cake layered with peanut butter cream. It was so good! Food took a little while to come out and it was a little pricey for a lunch but it was a good experience overall! They have only been open since summer 2023 so for being so new I was impressed!

We sat at a high top at the bar. Prior to season open and the place was busy not packed. The tv behind the bar had golf class on. Waitress lovely. They were out of some things but nothing huge. Blackened fish too salty to eat. Sweet Potato fries were terrific. Little loud so I suspect at full capacity you can't have a conversation w/o yelling. read more

Another year in Ogunquit, another visit to Peppers. Second time here and I will be back. Great service, great drinks, great food. I had a lobster roll and steamers. Everything as good all around. Highly recommended. Best price for steamers in town, only 21 dollars as of this review around July 1st 2025. read more

Excellent restaurant for a great seafood dinner. We all know seafood is expensive, but Pepper's prices are reasonable. Food was great; service was great!! Will certainly be back for more. 4 stars for walkability and kid options (honestly, the kid menu was really impressive and practical for toddlers). If I were rating purely on food, I'd probably give it a 3. Mussels weren't as clean as I'd have liked. The taco salad was pretty good. Th cajun fish was pretty good. Very well cooked. read more

My husband and I recently did a driving tour of New England and had a fantastic meal at Pepper's. We primarily went there for me to enjoy "Buck a Shuck" oysters, which were amazing, as was the rest of our meal. Our server was Lindsey and she was not only friendly, but attentive. She kept checking on us to ensure we had everything we wanted and needed. If you happen to go to Ogunquit, check out Pepper's, they have specials most night, which are different and interesting. read more

Family of 4 went there for dinner... we were there for almost 2 hrs and our food never came out! Waitress came to check on us once! We had to get her attention to ask her to check on the order. Delicious spot for lunch!!!! We sat outside and it was lovely a great spot to people watch and see the different shops. Prices are very reasonable! Got the Lobster stew and it was delicious! It was a big bowl, lots of lobster pieces in it, not too heavy like a clam chowder, 2 pieces a bread and made to order! Great drink menu and staff very friendly, and hard working! When it first opened I was excited having been to Sea Salt many times in Saco which they also own or maybe owned and whose menu is nearly identical, and where the service was consistently good and the food quality/ portions was solid. Here not so much. I am hoping it improves over time. read more

Came here for multiple meals. We had steamed lobster, haddock sandwich, lobster Mac and cheese and crab quesadillas. All were delicious. The lobster Mac and cheese could have had a little more lobster but was still great. Service as also very friendly and good. read more

Food was good and could tell it was fresh/not prepared and sitting around. My son and I had a pasta/seafood dish, wife had salad with lobster. Pasta dishes were good. They make it with two different types of cheeses. We opted for no cheese and some red pepper. Was flavorful and we enjoyed it. Salad was huge but light on the lobster. Couple of more pieces would have been good. Service was great and place clean and comfortable. Wife and some had a blueberry/lemon desert. They enjoyed it. Will go back again and recommend a visit. read more

Had a fantastic early weekday lunch with my husband and 4 year old daughter. Service was super quick and friendly. The adults both really enjoyed the bluefish spread & haddock taco salad (killer seasoning and house made tortilla chips). Kiddo crushed her haddock bites and loved that they came in a cute little boat and were served with goldfish. Husband got a Maine Lunch IPA which never disappoints. We just finished walking the marginal way on a pretty cold day Jan. 2 and lots of restaurants were closed. We happened to be very hungry and bumped into peppers on the way back to car. Everything was delicious from the food to our precious server. The fried scallop basket was really extraordinary. We will come back on the next trip to ogunqiit. read more

Amazing service and amazing food. Had a call ahead for eight people (not a reservation just holding your place type deal) and were seated immediately. Our server was Nikki and she was great and accommodating. Nice fresh look with indoor and outdoor seating. Food came swiftly and it was so good. The taco salad with salmon (I substituted for a well worth up charge she informed me of) and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors all worked so well and the pickled cabbage was a great add. Highly recommend this place they are on top of everything and it was a refreshing and great experience on our vacation. read more

Our food was great as chef perfectly accommodated my request for light garlic in the shrimp scampi. My wife loved her stuffed haddock. These were part of the Sunday special: good sized entree and blueberry pie for $18 which is cheap for just the entree alone. Nice decor and our server Shannon was fantastic. We'll be back! read more

We just had THE best chowder since coming to Ogunquit- over 10years. The Buffalo cauliflower was delicious, as was the haddock taco salad. The mango sangria just added to the deliciousness of this meal. And the waitress was an absolute delight. read more

Looooooong wait, zero service ... We made an attempt to try this restaurant however it took over 20 minutes and repeated requests to the manager and the hostess and anyone who would walk by, to even get a glass of water . Finally, we ordered a beer after flagging down the waitress and sat there for over an hour , and no salad, no entree ! granted it is a hpliday weekend - Nothing against the waitress who was nice , but how long does it take to make a taco ?!! Very disappointed and we had to walk to another restaurant in town to eat ! read more

The service was wonderful. It's a cool looking place. I wanted to like it and it wasn't awful. The scallops seemed good but were drenched in a poblano cream sauce I couldn't even taste the scallops. I had a mocktail that was overly sweet and sticky. My side asparagus was really good but the rice was somewhat cold and plain with grains that were hard because they were either not cooked or cooked a long time ago and had hardened since. The server and hostess were great though. read more

Instead we had to order to-go and then walk down back to a 'dog area' which is a spot to the left of the building, below the parking area with one picnic table and some chairs in the woods. It was a beautiful sunny day, but we were getting eaten alive by no-seeums, which is not a nice experience when paying $100 for 1 meal with 6 scallops, 4 small pieces of fried fish, fries and slaw, an order of onion rings, a small clam chowder, and 2 beers. And $50 for a small lobster, an ear of corn, and an iced tea. I get that this is a tourist area, but $12 for a beer in a plastic cup and a $7.50 up charge for 6 scallops while being banished to a buggy spot that made eating very uncomfortable is a big no thank you for me. Crossing this place off my list, sadly. The upgrades and changes to this place are not a bonus at all. I'm sad that a place I always felt was friendly and welcoming is now overpriced and we all felt like we were being treated as second class citizens.
