We were visiting for a wedding and my BIL found this place on Yelp. You can only do valet parking or find a spot on the street somewhere if you are lucky. The place has a homey and inviting feel. We did not have reservations but were still seated quickly. Everything we had was amazing, the pesto pasta, the filet, the salmon and the creme brulé were all beautifully made. We had dinner here this week, and it was outstanding. I called and made a reservation a couple of weeks ahead of our visit (we were there on a Monday night, and in the restaurant area it was pretty quiet - just us and one other table). First things first - parking is super easy, it's a free valet service (not obvious at first, as there is parking behind the restaurant, but you're greeted right away when you pull in). We walked through the bar area, over to the restaurant area (surprisingly the bar was quite full), and were able to choose a table by one of the two fireplaces. On the restaurant side, it feels very cozy, and homey, exactly where you want to spend a cold night, inside eating dinner. Our server was lovely, greeted us right away and provided menus. I started with a cosmo (they had flavored versions like strawberry, but I elected to go for the classic). For an appetizer, we started with the bacon wrapped scallops - the bacon was maple glazed, and wonderfully crispy, with the scallops cooked perfectly, and some micro-greens scattered on the plate - delicious. For entrees, my mom had the baked seafood stuffed haddock which came with a lobster sherry cream sauce, a massive pile of perfectly cooked green beans, and mashed potatoes (yum). I went with the duck special, which was absolutely delightful. It came with Brussels sprouts, and I subbed out the au gratin (I very strongly dislike sweet potatoes), for mashed potatoes. It was delicious. We were so full, we opted for dessert to go (chocolate cake), which was generously portioned, and decadently delicious. Stumbled upon That Place in Ogunquit last night and was so happy we did. The service was fantastic the food maybe even better. Parking was right but they have valet which was easy. We started with scallops wrapped in bacon and their bread service. The butter was sweetened and the bread was great. The scallops with bacon were excellent. My husband enjoyed a few vodka with cranberry and he wasn't disappointed. He chose the crab stuffed shrimp and sincerely loved it. The rice and green beans were great but he was full from the shrimp. I chose the filet with a lobster tail, fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Everything was simply superb. Dress was casual and the place was clean. Now this restaurant was fabulous! Drinks were delicious, started off with chocolate martinis, which were really good. We moved onto Aji tuna and seafood, stuffed fish. Sadly this used to be our favorite place to dine in Ogunquit. No more. Although the food is good, the service tonight was terrible. Not only did the waiter keep calling my husband "dude", it took us an HOUR to get bread for the table and our kids food also took an hour when we asked for their food as soon as possible (it was plain pasta). The service was so bad, I don't think I can go here again which is such a disappointment since we have been coming here for years. The truth is, it's a great local dining spot with a fantastic bar, drinks and some good food but when you order a Crab Stuffed Shrimp entree you expect more on the plate than 4 shrimp accompanied by a spoonful of overcooked rice and a few unseasoned steamed green beans. Came here a few weeks ago and the service, atmosphere and food were all great. I was lucky to make a Saturday dinner reservation for 4 the day of. We started with the blue cheese mussels for the table. The flavor was great, but the mussels were very small.. most smaller than a dime. Maybe it was a bad batch of mussels or not the season? Anyways the flavor was still good and we got some warm bread that was great for soaking up the sauce. We also got french onion soup which was delicious. For mains, my husband and I shared the broiled seafood trio and carbanara. Both were delicious and the seafood was fresh and yummy. The shrimp were large and my favorite. We came to That Place for our first-anniversary dinner, and it was great! The ambiance is lovely, and we had wonderful service and food. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations for small parties, so we were worried about getting a table, but it ended up being absolutely fine. I am sure during the busy season this may not be the case, so be sure to plan ahead! My only critique is the vegetarian options - I would have loved to see a few more veggie-friendly dishes on the menu! We ordered a salad to start that had bacon on it, even though it was not listed on the menu. Vegetarians - just be sure to ask before ordering! Didn't even make it in the restaurant because I went to park in the handicap parking spot because I got blown up in Iraq 21 years ago and am paralyzed from the waist down. I was told that all parking spots are for valet parking which is illegal to do you cannot remove a handicap parking spot to have more valet. I don't let other people drive my car because it's a liability due to the fact that if you've never used them it's dangerous. Plus it's illegal to use them unless you have a mechanical aid restriction on your license. The kind young valet kid was doing his job which according to him his boss who is on vacation sets the rules. It's 2025 as if this guy is in Antarctica or some BS and is unreachable. I had my first FaceTime call with a friend from Antarctica so I don't know what the hell that had to do with anything. Thanks for nothing! I drove all the way up here and it's my wife's birthday and now we are stuck trying to find another place to eat while I try to not let this fucked up situation ruin the day. We are here on Sunday. It was a fantasticeal. The French onion soup, the chowder was delicious. The mains were the broiled seafood trio (scallops, shrimp and haddock). I don't eat scallops and it wasn't a problem to sub in more shrimp and haddock. So good . The other entree was the pasta carbonara with chicken. As good as everything was my favorite was the bread and butter. The butter had honey added to it. I could have made a meal on that alone. Service was terrific. read more

The sauce on top is soooo good and every bite that had that on it was delectable. There could've been more sauce it was so delicious I wanted more. The green beans were firm as well and not soft. Unique, not bad. Tasty. The rice was so good. I love that. The display of the dish was pleasant to the eye. I loved the intro bread and olive oil and vinegar. Great way to start the meal.
