Food was ok and service was incredibly slow. We got the breakfast platter and a short rib sandwich. About 10 mins after ordering they came back to tell us they were out. They brought another menu and didn't return for a while to take the reorder. The plank was ok the pastry was dry and the potato's were hard. The burger was good. Very greasy. We asked for our bill knowing it would be a while till they came and they never came back for the bill. I had to flag down another server to run our card. We sat outside and the environment was cute and I loved their cups. We were 1 of 2 tables outside and the bar areas wasn't full. Not sure how the dining room looked.

Lovely restaurant open for brunch all year around! I loved my egg whites scrambled eggs ; the Asiago cheese was an unexpected addition to the eggs. I didn't care much for the house potatoes that accompanied the plate, but ... oh well! My partner had the omelette, well done and very meaty! And, gosh, coffee! The largest coffee cups I've seen at a restaurant - a great way to start the day. Service was great and the outside patio quite nice. So, sit under an umbrella and enjoy your brunch!

Perkins Cove Kitchen offers an exceptional experience, balancing a refined atmosphere with genuine comfort. Their focus on seasonal Maine ingredients shines through, particularly in the beautifully crafted cocktails. The star of the evening was a perfectly shaken, potent martini, served in elegant glassware that complemented the sleek, modern ambiance. The olives were a highlight; tangy, flavorful, and with a satisfyingly firm bite. My shrimp cocktail appetizer was exceptionally fresh, each shrimp thoughtfully garnished and seasoned. Every dish showcased the sea's bounty with care and purpose, each component cooked to absolute perfection. Attentive and sociable, the staff made the experience feel welcoming and complete. Love this place! We got there for breakfast, sat by the fireplace and had a breakfast plank for two. It was perfect! We had crispy, bacon and sausage, fluffy, scrambled eggs with cheese and spinach, strawberry pancakes, and fantastic cornbread. He loved it all! It was service with a smile, and we really enjoyed ourselves here.

Our family stopped by for a great breakfast this morning at Perkins Cove kitchen. We ordered the veggie hash, the eggs Benedict, and the breakfast charcuterie plate. Everything was really good - but the charcuterie plate was fantastic! A little sampling of everything delicious. The setting was nice. The service was excellent. We had a great time!

Beautiful, quaint spot. Excellent food and service . parking available was an extra bonus. Corned Beef Hash was unique and very good. The Eggs Benedict over crab cakes was the best.

What we ordered: -Cornbread: 3/5, great portion to share with the table and piping hot which I loved but wish it was moister and had more honey on top. -Caesar salad: 5/5, incredibly fresh, dressing was delicious and evenly spread among the whole salad, fresh anchovies on top were a nice touch -Crabcakes: 4.8/5, only comes with 2 but the cakes were very fresh and flavorful. The corn on top was very boring I wish they spiced it up a bit but it did not take away from the flavor of the cakes so I kept the score high. -Lobster Pappardelle: 5/5, one of my favorite meals we ate on vacation!! Generous lobster portion with perfectly cooked pappardelle in a very tasty sauce. I already miss it and wish I could eat it again. -Braised Short Rib: 3.8/5, beautiful presentation and everything tasted great but very small polenta/carrot portions and I wish the meat was more tender. It wasn't bad, it just didn't blow my socks off. -Espresso crème brûlée: 4.5/5, was the perfect birthday dessert for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. Quality espresso flavor, wish it was a little crispier on top. Food was ~4/5 but our overall experience was 5/5. Our server, Pedro, was so friendly and helped us with dish recommendations. When I told him we were celebrating a birthday, he brought the crème brûlée out with a candle and two other staff members to sing to him which was so sweet. We will definitely come back here next time we're in town!

We sat at a table by the window on the first floor. We overheard that there is an upstairs bar, not sure if they also seat folks for dinner there. We were able to place an order right after getting settled. We enjoyed the Sun mocktail, charred beet salad, mac and cheese, fried codd sandwich, steak frites, and corn ravioli (without the pancetta). My spouse is gluten free and I am vegetarian so we are always looking for restaurants that can accommodate both. The charred beet salad was good but I think dressed a bit too heavily. I thought the corn ravioli and sun mocktail were both great. The kids (ages 1.5 and 5) liked the Mac and cheese and fried cod sandwich. They did not have any appropriate booster seats for the 1.5 year old so my spouse held him. My spouse loved the steak frites but I think wished had a few more "frites" given the amount of interest from the younger crowd. Our waiter was wonderful and also brought some orange slices from the bar for the kids. We were very grateful. We decided to go nearby for ice cream after dinner, but I heard there is a dessert menu.

We were sat in a dimly lit corner, which we switched but caused a big ruckus. The front of house staff approached us and actually asked if we had a reservation, and how we got sat there and if we just walked in...it was a tad odd to be questioned but I think it was a miscommunication amongst staff. After that, we settled in, grabbed a drink and ordered some mussels (with cream), two orders of scallops and a blueberry pie for dessert. The mussels were very good, honestly our only critic was more bread! They can always serve more bread with steamed mussels so people can sop up as much liquid as possible! The scallops were definitely the star and I highly recommend them. You get 5 large scallops with a gorgeous crust, soft potatoes all sitting on a delicious corn and bacon sauce. Really, this is a must have when visiting. Last, our blueberry pie was great! Those fresh Maine blueberries were so sweet on the side, it really perked up the dish! Overall we loved the food, but the ambiance suffered from some other guests. There was a large party sat behind us with multiple kids. They scream, they ran around, they threw stuff....and the staff did not seem to care. The family themselves didnt seem to care! They enjoyed their meal and let the kids do their own thing. Once they party got their bill and left, at least 3 tables (including us), all breathed a sigh of relief and we all bonded over the craziness of the last 25 minutes. I wish the staff would've controlled the room a bit more as we know they were fine approaching us about changing seating. But I digress! The food was worth the stop and we would definitely come again!

Calamari was crispy, but not very seasoned. Decent sweet potato fries. Server was attentive but zero personality. Dining space was nice, much quieter vibe than upstairs. Piano player did a good job catering to Millennials to Boomers, even mashing up a bit between the Killers, Kings of Leon, and Blink 182, which was cool. But the bartender was a miss, very hasty - drinks were poorly mixed and he broke 2 glasses while we were seated at the bar, yikes!
