Summary- Hit on all notes. Food- 5 Stars Oysters were excellent and well shucked. Fried chicken was very good and the sides- potato salad and broccoli salad- were outstanding. Lobster roll was unusual but excellent- tarragon mayo just enough flavor to make it interesting but not overwhelming the lobster. Tuna dish was excellent... balanced flavor with amazing tuna cooked just enough. Service- 5 Stars Sat us kinda late which was awesome. Server was excellent- timely, helpful, friendly. We stopped at Brix + Brine in Ogunquit and absolutely loved it. If you're an oyster person, this place is a must. Their raw bar has a huge rotating selection, so we decided to make a full tasting out of it and rank everything we tried. Unicorn Swirls and Pemaquids were our favorites -- great body, excellent flavor and incredibly fresh. We're even including our homemade oyster ranking board with the review because we had that much fun with it! We also tried both chowders -- the New England clam chowder and the seafood chowder -- and both were fantastic. The seafood chowder is loaded with littlenecks, lobster, scallops and shrimp, while the clam chowder keeps it classic. Everything tasted fresh, well prepared and exactly like the kind of seafood meal you hope to find while in Maine. The outdoor atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for Ogunquit, and the whole experience made us wish we had ordered even more. We barely scratched the surface of the menu, so we will absolutely be back to work our way through the rest of it. One of our favorite stops in Maine so far. Highly recommend! I am so glad we stopped in Ogunquit for two reasons: one because it was an adorable town to explore and two because we ate an absolutely delightful meal here! Like, I'd probably go out of my way just to come back. It is a super unassuming spot behind the building of a gift/craft store and ice cream shop. There is a bar seating and patio. It was not too crowded at 3ish in the afternoon on a Monday; we were greeted warmly and told to choose a table. They didn't have a high chair but they had booster seats. I got a glass of brut rosé and my husband got the Pilsner on draft. Both were refreshing and delicious! I got a half dozen oysters (followed by another half dozen afterward) of the fresh oysters of the day, and also learnt this place is on the Maine Oyster Trail. For good reason too--they were probably some of the best oysters I've ever had. Shucked perfectly, with delicious cocktail sauce, horseradish, lemon and mignonette. So good I had to get more. I had a burger for my main, with a gluten free bun and no cheese for dairy free. They also have gluten free fries that are made in a separate frier, bless! My husband got the lobster roll, cold style and said it was absolutely delicious--his first lobster roll and everything he hoped it would be. On top of the food and drinks being great, our server was an absolute gem. So kind, so helpful, he went above and beyond to take care of us and ensure my food was allergen safe. He even went out of his way to get milk for our toddler in a fun kids cup. I truly hope to make it back some day soon! read more

I splurged for the seafood tower at $115. It was barely enough food to be considered an appetizer. The oysters were as small as they come and the lobster tail was so tiny, I can't imaging the catch was even legal size. This was our first lobster roll on our road trip up the coast of Maine, and it may have been the best we had - so fresh, bright, and generously portioned. What a great, lowkey place to eat in the area! We drove up for the day from NH and it was just a lovely addition to our evening before we headed out for a sunset sail. The mussels were sweet and fresh, while the sandwich was the perfect portion size. The seafood chowder was rich and perfectly filling with a side of Caesar salad. We really enjoyed the laid back vibes of this restaurant and would recommend it to those visiting. The only thing is that the service was a bit spotty and inattentive. I've waitressed at a busy seafood spot in the summer so I know it can be tiring but our server was just not very present and we only saw her when we were sat/when she handed us the check. Solid lunch spot with outdoor seating in the heart of Ogunquit! Our group of 6 just had to wait a few minutes for a table after they opened at 11:30am. We started with the mussels to share, which were absolutely delicious in a garlicky , buttery white wine sauce. It's a great portion of mussels along with 2 hunks of bread (ask for more - trust me). For my meal, I got the crab melt, which I wouldn't get again. I didn't realize that despite being a melt, the crab salad inside would be cold. It was a bit odd to have warm, melted cheese and toasted bread with mayo-y, cold crab salad. I ended up spooning the extra broth from the mussels onto the crab to heat it up a bit. The Old Bay fries it came with were decent, and were also tasty with the mussel broth. Overall, the mussels saved the day for me here. Waited 1 hour for a table and finally sat down. Server was prompt with asking for an order of drinks. When ready to order food they were completely out of Filet. Half the group does not eat seafood. The host then sent us down the street to the crooked pine stating that we can get a filet there. Waited an additional 15 minutes to be seated now 1:30 minutes later. Then come to find out that the Filet isn't even on the menu. We opted for the flap steak and it was ok as the group did not want to wait any longer for food elsewhere . Both were very good. The service was very good at the bar where we sat. This is an outside venue and exactly what we were looking for, just wish we had better weather. Soup was not plentiful, meaning lots of milk/cream and little seafood. Consistency was runny, and we prefer thinker chowders. The Caesar salad was no bigger than you would expect from a side salad, and this was a $14 large salad. Essentially the joke was on us as the salad barely covered the bottom of the takeout container. Would have been one star, but the little food that we had tasted good. Service was friendly.
