    Our personal oyster rankings

We stopped at Brix + Brine in Ogunquit and absolutely loved it. If you're an oyster person, this place is a must. Their raw bar has a huge rotating selection, so we decided to make a full tasting out of it and rank everything we tried. Unicorn Swirls and Pemaquids were our favorites -- great body, excellent flavor and incredibly fresh. We're even including our homemade oyster ranking board with the review because we had that much fun with it! We also tried both chowders -- the New England clam chowder and the seafood chowder -- and both were fantastic. The seafood chowder is loaded with littlenecks, lobster, scallops and shrimp, while the clam chowder keeps it classic. Everything tasted fresh, well prepared and exactly like the kind of seafood meal you hope to find while in Maine. The outdoor atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for Ogunquit, and the whole experience made us wish we had ordered even more. We barely scratched the surface of the menu, so we will absolutely be back to work our way through the rest of it. One of our favorite stops in Maine so far. Highly recommend! P.S. -- Our official oyster rankings are attached. Brix + Brine turned lunch into a full-blown oyster competition.

Perfect from start to finish. Very friendly and accommodating staff, fresh and delicious appetizers. Homemade chips, great portions and the best mignonette I've ever had.

What a vibe! Took a little to get seated but it was a lovely day and understood why. Everything we ate was delicious and the wines were tasty. Hard to beat the feel of this place on a nice summer day!

Oysters. Beers. Tiny little back alley beach town bar and grill. The oysters came of fast, fresh and cold. They were tasty as all getout! The beers were cold. The staff was friendly. It was like a neighborhood bar as it seemed everyone knew each other but I'm pretty sure it was just friendly people enjoying a good time over memorial day weekend.

Excellent all around. Fantastic icy cold Manhattan and great wine list. Food was exceptional. We had Blue Fin tuna poke, Avocado and grapefruit salad with crab, and salmon togarashi. Hands down, salad with crab was the best but each dish was fantastic. Fresh, flavorful and filling! Great service rounded out the best dining experience in Ogunquit.

Oysters and bubbly--can it get any better than that?!

I am so glad we stopped in Ogunquit for two reasons: one because it was an adorable town to explore and two because we ate an absolutely delightful meal here! Like, I'd probably go out of my way just to come back. It is a super unassuming spot behind the building of a gift/craft store and ice cream shop. There is a bar seating and patio. It was not too crowded at 3ish in the afternoon on a Monday; we were greeted warmly and told to choose a table. They didn't have a high chair but they had booster seats. I got a glass of brut rosé and my husband got the Pilsner on draft. Both were refreshing and delicious! I got a half dozen oysters (followed by another half dozen afterward) of the fresh oysters of the day, and also learnt this place is on the Maine Oyster Trail. For good reason too--they were probably some of the best oysters I've ever had. Shucked perfectly, with delicious cocktail sauce, horseradish, lemon and mignonette. So good I had to get more. I had a burger for my main, with a gluten free bun and no cheese for dairy free. They also have gluten free fries that are made in a separate frier, bless! My husband got the lobster roll, cold style and said it was absolutely delicious--his first lobster roll and everything he hoped it would be. On top of the food and drinks being great, our server was an absolute gem. So kind, so helpful, he went above and beyond to take care of us and ensure my food was allergen safe. He even went out of his way to get milk for our toddler in a fun kids cup. I truly hope to make it back some day soon!

You know those places that says Yes to every little request and goes above and beyond.. well that's Brix Brine. We stopped in for lunch and started with a dozen oysters. 2 of each. All fresh, different. ..delicious! The lobster roll was generous in portion, & moist on a lightly grilled bun. I also appreciated that is was accompanied by a side of coleslaw that was edible (no watery mayo :) and I ask for a side of greens instead of fries.. Loved the dressing! BB is a quaint outdoor only patio area that offers a full bar and seating. The staff is phenomenal, service is perfcetion and the people watching is vibrant and fun.... just Go! You won't be disappointed.

Walking along enjoying the towns cute stores , had to stop at this place as it had an inviting vibe with its outdoor seating , which made it possible for a quick in & out experience. Laid back vibe , cheerful hostess , quick service and breezy weather made it a perfect way to enjoy a meal here. Haddock & Chips - Fish & chips done well with side of fries making it a comforting meal . Crab melt sandwich on sourdough - Crab meat piled high on toasted sourdough bread - Crunchy exterior with the creamy sweet interior made it an addictive bite Cranberry cooler was slightly tart and refreshing This place is off Shore road which is the bustling Street in Ogunquit. Whats not to like when a place checks all boxes ! A must visit restaurant in Ogunquit

After a stunning sail along Maine's coast, we craved a snack. We landed at Brix + Brine in downtown Ogunquit, enjoying cocktails & their massive platter loaded with oysters, shrimp, crab meat, & lobster. Everything was incredibly delicious.

Super cute outdoor lunch spot with great lobster rolls and oysters! Great friendly service, and a nice shaded space. This was our first lobster roll on our road trip up the coast of Maine, and it may have been the best we had - so fresh, bright, and generously portioned. The chicken salad sandwich was also excellent! This spot participates in the Maine Oyster Trail so we tried some local oysters and were able to log our visit in the MOT portal! It was a lovely meal and is tucked away off the busy main street. Highly recommend!

What a great, lowkey place to eat in the area! We drove up for the day from NH and it was just a lovely addition to our evening before we headed out for a sunset sail. The mussels were sweet and fresh, while the sandwich was the perfect portion size. The seafood chowder was rich and perfectly filling with a side of Caesar salad. We really enjoyed the laid back vibes of this restaurant and would recommend it to those visiting. The only thing is that the service was a bit spotty and inattentive. I've waitressed at a busy seafood spot in the summer so I know it can be tiring but our server was just not very present and we only saw her when we were sat/when she handed us the check. A different server actually took our order and checked in on us during our meal.

After walking the marginal walk we stopped for a delicious lunch in the shaded backyard of this place. It was wonderful! My drink was perfectly made and more than delightful. My daughter and I shared a street corn dip appetizer. She loved her tuna poke bowl and I loved the crab! The oysters hit the spot as well! Will definitely be back!

Great friendly service with amazing lobster roll. The buttered roll was perfectly toasted, fries fresh seasoned just right, Cole slaw nice and light not heavily mayonnaised and wonderful drink. I normally get 2 cocktails but one was definitely strong enough. Nice stop I would return to.

What we ordered: -Cornbread: 3/5, great portion to share with the table and piping hot which I loved but wish it was moister and had more honey on top. -Caesar salad: 5/5, incredibly fresh, dressing was delicious and evenly spread among the whole salad, fresh anchovies on top were a nice touch -Crabcakes: 4.8/5, only comes with 2 but the cakes were very fresh and flavorful. The corn on top was very boring I wish they spiced it up a bit but it did not take away from the flavor of the cakes so I kept the score high. -Lobster Pappardelle: 5/5, one of my favorite meals we ate on vacation!! Generous lobster portion with perfectly cooked pappardelle in a very tasty sauce. I already miss it and wish I could eat it again. -Braised Short Rib: 3.8/5, beautiful presentation and everything tasted great but very small polenta/carrot portions and I wish the meat was more tender. It wasn't bad, it just didn't blow my socks off. -Espresso crème brûlée: 4.5/5, was the perfect birthday dessert for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. Quality espresso flavor, wish it was a little crispier on top. Food was ~4/5 but our overall experience was 5/5. Our server, Pedro, was so friendly and helped us with dish recommendations. When I told him we were celebrating a birthday, he brought the crème brûlée out with a candle and two other staff members to sing to him which was so sweet. We will definitely come back here next time we're in town!

We sat at a table by the window on the first floor. We overheard that there is an upstairs bar, not sure if they also seat folks for dinner there. We were able to place an order right after getting settled. We enjoyed the Sun mocktail, charred beet salad, mac and cheese, fried codd sandwich, steak frites, and corn ravioli (without the pancetta). My spouse is gluten free and I am vegetarian so we are always looking for restaurants that can accommodate both. The charred beet salad was good but I think dressed a bit too heavily. I thought the corn ravioli and sun mocktail were both great. The kids (ages 1.5 and 5) liked the Mac and cheese and fried cod sandwich. They did not have any appropriate booster seats for the 1.5 year old so my spouse held him. My spouse loved the steak frites but I think wished had a few more "frites" given the amount of interest from the younger crowd. Our waiter was wonderful and also brought some orange slices from the bar for the kids. We were very grateful. We decided to go nearby for ice cream after dinner, but I heard there is a dessert menu.

Yummy! I got Bourbon Marinated Steak tips with corn bread and baked beans. When the plate arrived, those steak tips were calling my name! The marinade was perfect. So savory and mouthwatering. The corn bread and baked beans weren't overly sweet but just enough, which I appreciated. One of my traveling companions ordered the Mac and Cheese with Beef Brisket. After that, we settled in, grabbed a drink and ordered some mussels (with cream), two orders of scallops and a blueberry pie for dessert. The mussels were very good, honestly our only critic was more bread! They can always serve more bread with steamed mussels so people can sop up as much liquid as possible! The scallops were definitely the star and I highly recommend them. You get 5 large scallops with a gorgeous crust, soft potatoes all sitting on a delicious corn and bacon sauce. Really, this is a must have when visiting. Last, our blueberry pie was great! Those fresh Maine blueberries were so sweet on the side, it really perked up the dish! Once they party got their bill and left, at least 3 tables (including us), all breathed a sigh of relief and we all bonded over the craziness of the last 25 minutes.
