    Half dozen assorted Maine Oysters

We went to The Maine Catch after a recommendation from a friend. We were sleeping on this place! The food, the service, the atmosphere? Perfect. We called ahead and made reservations for the patio. This was our first time fine dining with our 6 month old and we had the best experience. My husband had the clam linguine which he said rivaled the spaghetti ala vongole we had in Italy and I had the broiled seafood trio (absolutely DIVINE). I am gluten free but currently also dairy free due to my baby having a dairy allergy. They were super accommodating of our allergies/intolerances and if our food was AS delicious as it was with modification- I can't even imagine how good the rest of the food is with dairy and gluten. We loved our meals so much we came back a second night for a repeat. This place does not miss. The oysters were incredible as were the drinks. Drew P. was our server and he was an absolute delight both nights. Highly, highly recommend The Maine Catch!

This was our 2nd time here and it was just as good as the first. First due to a special diet I need to be very careful about my eating. They were so accommodating with everything. And the up charge was minimal. The server was extremely friendly and very helpful when I was ordering. The blueberry pie was amazing. The atmosphere is rustic but very warm and cozy. It has it own off street parking which is a plus in Ogunquit. As with anywhere in Maine everyone who worked there was so friendly. Just a great place to eat and hang out.

Saved the best for last! Though all our dinners on vacation were amazing. Amazing ambiance, great service and delicious food.

The food here was delicious and the ambiance was great for a romantic dinner with my wife. The lobster Newburgh came in a delicious sauce! My salmon was cooked perfectly! Our service was also great but felt a little rushed. Overall a great place for a romantic dinner!!

Each one of the meals was fantastic and full of flavor. The location is very cute and unique. A very close walkable distance to Perkins Cove if you'd like to go there after dinner. The host and Weight staff were all extremely friendly. We had the halibut and the clams linguine and the blackened seafood trio. As well as a blueberry pie with ice cream for dessert. Overall, a great birthday dinner was had and we will definitely be back.

Amazing restaurant wow. Service was great, our waiter Benjamin was very timely, kind, and he gave really good suggestions. Cute ambiance, we sat outside and it was very cozy. As for the food. All of us were scraping every last bit of everything. Our table ordered the mussels in white sauce, oysters, stuffed lobster, blackened seafood trio, and scallop linguine. We came in a big group and our whole table went silent while eating. Cannot recommend this place enough

What a delicious dinner!! Everything was absolutely perfect. Our waitress was excellent and even with my elderly parents asking ridiculous questions and taking forever to answer her, she was still happy and very kind and understanding. We had a little bit of everything on the menu. My husband had oysters and said they were the best he's ever had. My daughter and father each had mussels one with red sauce and one with white wine sauce. They both practically licked the bowls clean. I had a fried haddock sandwich and it was delicious. Cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend you check out The Maine Catch in Ogunquit!

Came here while we were staying at the Blue Shutters inn last weekend. This was recommended to us by the staff at the inn and it was only a short walk. Very convenient location. We made reservations only a couple hours ahead of time. We were seated upstairs and our server Shannon was amazing- very friendly and nice. We ordered the garden salad which was actually quite a decent portion and nice. I ordered the grilled salmon and the hubs ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. When they brought the entrees- mine was incorrect - was a scallops dish instead of salmon. We told the server and she corrected the order. I ate the salad meanwhile and then the salmon arrived. It came with rice and a side of their kale vegetable medley which was nice. The salmon was tender although there were parts of it that were blackened almost burnt. Hubs liked the Mac n cheese - quite a large portion so he had leftovers. The restaurant seems popular as it was fairly crowded and the ambiance was cozy. Seemed like people sitting at the bar too. Overall good food and great service!

The Maine Catch has so much potential. The food was terrific -- everything we ate was delicious -- but the service (or lack thereof) left a lot to be desired. Thankfully, we went to The Maine Catch on Saturday with reservations, as they were packed. The restaurant is beautiful and has plenty of parking; it's between Perkins Cove and Ogunquit's Main Street, nestled amidst countless of trees. They have outdoor and indoor seating. From the moment we walked inside and told the hostess we had a reservation, we were met with a cold vibe, very unlike Maine and Ogunquit ( and something you wouldn't expect at a restaurant of this caliber). Our waitress's service was no better. She seemed checked out, and everything felt very transactional. The food made its way to us quickly--sometimes too quickly, as in the case of the crispy calamari starter--which led to a few misses, like having the food arrive before our drinks. Our waitress just seemed to not care. She'd talk to us in passing and do the bare minimum. It was one of the worst services we've seen at a Maine restaurant. The one thing that saved The Maine Catch, and the reason they're still getting 4-stars, is the food. Our crispy calamari was perfect; not too much breading or super greasy, as is usually the case. The accompanying sauce had a nice kick to it. My partner's lobster mac and cheese was the best we've ever had, and the portion was generous. My blackened salmon, with rice and veggies, was also a 10/10 and probably one of the best salmons I've eaten. The rice was cooked to perfection. Would we come back to The Maine Catch? Yes, the food was good enough to keep us coming back, but I do hope they improve their service.

The cocktails and food are delicious. The towers are great if you have a large table party. The restaurant has nice outdoor seating and a more rustic indoor seating. Our server was ok. He didn't seem patient with 4 kids orders and he didn't take an order correctly. They remedied this by giving us free dessert. The blueberry pie was more like a jelly inside and wasn't really fruity.

Quick friendly service , very intimate cute indoor and outdoor seating , easy parking or walkable from many little inns and resorts on Shore road with delicicous food sums up The Maine Catch The blackened Salmon and Pan seared Halibut were our picks for dinner and did we not live it . Delicately flavored the fish spoke for itself ! It was cooked perfectly a gentle nudge and fit would break away. The side of rice , kale with veggies and broccoli rabe plus parsnip purée was everything that was needed to complete our meal. We were completely sold on the fish that I missed mentioning the plain Jane fried calamari appetizer though the pepper relish on the side was a bomb This is a sea food lovers paradise . Don't miss it if you are in Ogunquit.

This is the Scallops with roasted potatoes in a corn and bacon cream sauce.

This place was next door to the hotel we were staying at and decided to try it after reading some reviews, we entered into the restaurant to find a very Rustic but charming/romantic coastal place. We were met by a friendly host who promptly seated us. Within 3 minutes our waiter came by with water for us and took our drink orders and made some Recommendations on appetizers. We went with the raw oysters and clam chowder. Within 5-6 minutes the waiter brought our adult drinks and the appetizers and then took our meal order, my wife ordered the Roasted beet salad with goat cheese and I ordered the Scallops with the roasted potatoes, with corn and bacon cream sauce. Both of these we highly enjoyed and recommend, Our waiter was always on point with checking on us and keeping our water topped off. We highly recommend this place.

We arrived without a reservation and were told there would be about an hour wait. The host came across as a bit snarky, although he did offer us seats at the bar, which we appreciated. After being seated, it took about 30 minutes before anyone took our order, followed by another 40 minutes before our food arrived. The bartenders were working incredibly hard and were clearly doing everything they could to keep up with the rush, so I don't fault them at all. Unfortunately, one of our meals arrived cold and was extremely over-salted. The restaurant refunded that dish without hesitation, which I appreciated, but it shouldn't have left the kitchen that way in the first place. From what we could see, the kitchen was seriously backed up and the overall operation wasn't being managed well. The staff deserved better support because they were hustling nonstop while trying to deal with unhappy customers. I hope management addresses these issues because the employees are putting in the effort. With better kitchen execution and smoother operations, this could be a much better dining experience.

We sat at a table by the window on the first floor. We overheard that there is an upstairs bar, not sure if they also seat folks for dinner there. We were able to place an order right after getting settled. We enjoyed the Sun mocktail, charred beet salad, mac and cheese, fried codd sandwich, steak frites, and corn ravioli (without the pancetta). My spouse is gluten free and I am vegetarian so we are always looking for restaurants that can accommodate both. The charred beet salad was good but I think dressed a bit too heavily. I thought the corn ravioli and sun mocktail were both great. The kids (ages 1.5 and 5) liked the Mac and cheese and fried cod sandwich. They did not have any appropriate booster seats for the 1.5 year old so my spouse held him. My spouse loved the steak frites but I think wished had a few more "frites" given the amount of interest from the younger crowd. Our waiter was wonderful and also brought some orange slices from the bar for the kids. We were very grateful. We decided to go nearby for ice cream after dinner, but I heard there is a dessert menu.

Gosh, you just hope you made a memorable choice for the right reasons. We did - we both felt we not only received value for our dining dollars, we felt cared for by the staff and satiated by the kitchen. People like sitting outside - so the reservations reflected that and we could only be seated inside. Was not a disappointment to be seated inside. I highly recommend this restaurant. I had a steak sandwich and my dining partner had a chicken sandwich. Both were really tasty and well prepared. We only had water to drink and that was not a problem. I feel many times if I don't order an app or a drink a server becomes less friendly. That wasn't our experience here. I don't believe in over rewarding a place - but I feel a 4.5 out of 5 is appropriate. Since I can't give that - I rounded up to 5.

The menu varies by season and always reflects a local Maine touch. The appetizers are exquisite (Shellfish Tower, Shrimp Cocktail, Oysters, Salads and Chowders) and the entrees always tasteful whether its the lobster, salmon, scallops, which are always fresh , or the beef, chicken or duck dishes, all are perfectly cooked as ordered. The wine list is ample and if there is something that you want for a special occasion, you should call in advance and they may be able to order it. No guarantees but they try! And the desserts, well my mouth is watering as I write this. Please bring back the sticky toffee pudding!!! We have always found the wait staff to be professional, patient and polite. Dana and Javier have done a great job juggling the natural challenges in this area. Trainees shadow the pros and they learn how to handle the range of high-low and no maintenance guests. We have seen them all! The ambience is warm and inviting and of course, the many views of the cobalt blue Atlantic and Marginal Way from the roof deck and most tables simply wraps the entire dining experience into a magical evening. If you have never gone, plan your parking because like all great restaurants tucked into small seacoast towns in Maine, its is in short supply, and if you can't find it, there are pay-for parking options within a short 2 minute walk. My martini was perfect, but food left a lot to be desired. I was debating between the mac & cheese (without lobster) and the stuffed leeks. The server convinced me to get the stuffed leeks. When they came out, the leeks themselves/the filling were room temp (like not hot or cold), but the sauce around it was hot, which I thought was odd. It almost seemed like the leeks had been sitting out for a while and then the sauce was poured on at the last second. I didn't want to sound crazy by asking the server if the dish should be warm, so shortly after receiving, I asked to order the kids mac & cheese. It was $16!!! For such a small portion. I didn't even finish 2/3 of the leeks and was kind of hoping to get it taken off our bill since I paid $28 for something I didn't end up eating due to how it was served/worry about food being left out and not properly heated. We had a hard time choosing where to eat because everything around the area had like three stars, but would come highly recommend recommended. This is one I think I would say could be skipped! My friend got the lobster croquettes and said the croquettes were warm and the lobster was cold. Not sure if that was intentional?
