Great food. Hamburger was juicy and filling. My husband had the shrimp and he loved his meal too. Service was great too. Our server was super friendly and polite. We sat by the window which we had beautiful views.

Casual dining that is great for families. We have never been to Ogunquit. We didn't realize there are not a ton of family friendly restaurants. Where do we eat with our 21 month old? I'm glad we found barnacle Billy's. Open seating. First come first serve. You order at the counter then sit down and wait for your number to be called. If you want drinks a server does come over and open a tab at the bar for you. Food was fresh and hot. Lots of fast casual options for the whole family. From burgers and hot dogs, to lobster rolls and chicken dinners. And best of all, they offer ice cream as well. This is definitely not a fancy place at all. But if you want casual atmosphere with delicious food, go ahead and try out Barnacle Billy's.

We only had a few minutes to wait so we went to the bar for Billy's special rum punch wow were they great make sure you try the blue berry smash ! The bartender was fantastic. We were seated with an excellent view of the harbor. Nick was above and beyond fantastic he too care of us from drinks to appetizers a wonderful Monterey followed by fantastic blueberry pie homemade!!! Grab your friends plan accordingly And remember the best part is free valet parking!!

We really enjoyed the food and drink here. I started off with a fantastic rum punch, which was strong and delicious. I then moved on to the fried clam roll, which was enormous. You could hardly see the roll. It was a mound of clam strips! Absolutely perfect with a gorgeous baked potato. My friend got the fried calamari, which was equally white and delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed the view. Our waitress was a doll and it was an overall great experience.

Went to Barnacle Billy's etc they have the Baskets, and platters, fried grilled, yes great lobster rolls and lobster by lb. Friendly staff. Short wait but they are busy. Next door is Billy's lobster Pound.. We preferred the variety and were not disappointed. Atmosphere awesome over looks Harbor and large estates on the bay. Ogunquit, ME a great walkable community lots of quaint shops and Inns to stay.

I stumbled across this place as I was walking the Marginal Way coastal trail. I enjoyed a beer and some chowder on the deck. The server was nice. The view was great. The food was just okay. I'd go back for a real meal another time.

I'm shocked this place doesn't have better reviews. The lobster roll was absolutely delicious! You could tell the lobster meat was super fresh and had just the right flavor. My only complaint is I wish it came with fries instead of chips. I liked the chill vibes at Barnacle Billy's, but you could also go to the restaurant next door if you wanted the sit down experience. Despite the place being busy, my food was ready pretty quickly. I'd come back, especially for the location and views!

I just came here for the rum punch, which was super Duper good I highly recommend the rum punch! The service was super good and the place was super Duper cool as it was on the Seaport

Ok we are here with Mom with probably her last visit to Maine. We always came here on family vacations and this was one of our "go to" spots. So glad we came. Got the lobster rolls. I got the cold and sisters got it hot. 5 stars all the way. Mom got the fish and chips. Haddock nice portion and fish so white and flaky. I tasted a piece and again 5 stars all the way. Sweet potato fries so good. Nice seasoning and crunchy on the outside and juicy in the middle. Lastly our servicer, Charity, was so kind and efficient. Brought it home for us and thanks so much for another family memory we won't forget. Probably not the same owners but so glad you didn't change the quality of food or service. Inside nice and clean with great views. Highly recommend! Everything perfect!

An ICONIC place to visit while in Ogunquit Maine! Note that they have 2 locations of barnacle Billy. One as the OG and the other one is ECT. I'd describe the OG one as a quick order and go. You order at the counter and find an outdoor seat right here view of the pier. They offer more easy to eat meals like sandwiches...VS this one which is an actually sit down place and they have a wider selection of menus items including their fried seafood section. Same restaurant but slight difference. Locations and views are great. Service was attentive. They have a lot of seafood items most known for their lobster, lobster rolls, and fried clams. Prices are on the higher point but that what you get for wanting seafood. Make sure ask for extra tartar sauce packets. They do accept Apple Pay and restroom is located inside and upstairs. Seems like they can host large parties/events here.

There are two Barnacle Billy's, the regular one and then etc. They are right next to each other so those os the review of the etc. one. I liked that they had a veggie burger option here. The best part about this restaurant isn't the food though, it's the view. Dining inside you can see the water but the best seating (which was full when we went) is in the outside garden. Eve if you aren't lucky to Dine in the garden, you can walk around ir. It also overlooks the boats and the water..very picturesque. I.got theor signature rum punch, which was strong for me but I'm a lightweight. My mom got the lobster roll. She said she's had better, it didn't have much flavor it was just lobster meat on a bun with bi sauce/dressing. The veggie burger was alright. Our waitress was great.

Was a little skeptical based on the 3 star average on Yelp, but went inside a tried anyway. Sat at the window overlooking the boats. Waitress was extremely attentive and pleasant. My wife and I ordered the Hot Buttered Lobster Roll, excellent. Very cozy atmosphere and super fast, friendly service. I highly recommend.

Excellent food and nice scenery. Very busy restaurant but friendly. Lobster roll is pricy $39.

First things first - parking is super easy, it's a free valet service (not obvious at first, as there is parking behind the restaurant, but you're greeted right away when you pull in). We walked through the bar area, over to the restaurant area (surprisingly the bar was quite full), and were able to choose a table by one of the two fireplaces. On the restaurant side, it feels very cozy, and homey, exactly where you want to spend a cold night, inside eating dinner. Our server was lovely, greeted us right away and provided menus. I started with a cosmo (they had flavored versions like strawberry, but I elected to go for the classic). For an appetizer, we started with the bacon wrapped scallops - the bacon was maple glazed, and wonderfully crispy, with the scallops cooked perfectly, and some micro-greens scattered on the plate - delicious. For entrees, my mom had the baked seafood stuffed haddock which came with a lobster sherry cream sauce, a massive pile of perfectly cooked green beans, and mashed potatoes (yum). I went with the duck special, which was absolutely delightful. It came with Brussels sprouts, and I subbed out the au gratin (I very strongly dislike sweet potatoes), for mashed potatoes. It was delicious. We were so full, we opted for dessert to go (chocolate cake), which was generously portioned, and decadently delicious. We really enjoyed the meal - this was a wonderful dinner to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday!

We started with scallops wrapped in bacon and their bread service. The butter was sweetened and the bread was great. The scallops with bacon were excellent. My husband enjoyed a few vodka with cranberry and he wasn't disappointed. He chose the crab stuffed shrimp and sincerely loved it. The rice and green beans were great but he was full from the shrimp. I chose the filet with a lobster tail, fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Everything was simply superb. Dress was casual and the place was clean. Not thinking they are accessible though as there were steps going in the two doors we used.

The lobster risotto was cooked to perfection and was easily one of the best meals I've ever eaten. **Verdict** The Maine Catch offers a fine-dining level of service and flavor with a comfortable, casual atmosphere. Our server Benjamin was excellent. We started with 10 Maine oysters which were well shucked and ice cold. They were sweet and delicious + added two raw clams. Each oyster was labeled with cute wood sticks. Love the Maine oyster names. The Maine course was lobster risotto with balsamic drizzle. The rice was perfectly cooked with good deep flavor. The disappointment was the less than 2 Oz - 1/2 lobster tail sitting on top. It was tender, but a little more lobster pieces in this almost $40 dish of creamy Arborio rice would have been nice. The balsamic drizzle was a great taste touch. Lobster roll - nice presentation and tender lobster on the warm under-buttered hot dog roll - but not enough lobster. Decent fries and small cold slaw. Good flavor but sides should not be an extra charge. Blueberry pie - good but not as good as the nearby Ogunquit restaurant competition. Will return in year 3 - hopefully for a five star shout out.

Like, I'd probably go out of my way just to come back. It is a super unassuming spot behind the building of a gift/craft store and ice cream shop. There is a bar seating and patio. It was not too crowded at 3ish in the afternoon on a Monday; we were greeted warmly and told to choose a table. They didn't have a high chair but they had booster seats. I got a glass of brut rosé and my husband got the Pilsner on draft. Both were refreshing and delicious! I got a half dozen oysters (followed by another half dozen afterward) of the fresh oysters of the day, and also learnt this place is on the Maine Oyster Trail. For good reason too--they were probably some of the best oysters I've ever had. Shucked perfectly, with delicious cocktail sauce, horseradish, lemon and mignonette. So good I had to get more. I had a burger for my main, with a gluten free bun and no cheese for dairy free. They also have gluten free fries that are made in a separate frier, bless! My husband got the lobster roll, cold style and said it was absolutely delicious--his first lobster roll and everything he hoped it would be. On top of the food and drinks being great, our server was an absolute gem. So kind, so helpful, he went above and beyond to take care of us and ensure my food was allergen safe. The owner (Javier) was quick to point out that he noticed in the resi that both couples were celebrating wedding anniversaries and had a "special" table for us if we were willing to wait a little longer. We waited about 15 minutes at the bar and after conversing with the bartender (we really hit it off) we decided the bar was going to have to be good enough for tonight (especially since the lollygaggers were still sitting at our table). Not long after we made the decision to sit at the bar a server came over, dressed like any other server, and apologized for the delay and comped our first round of drinks. We thought it odd that a server would go out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. It turns out that this server was another one of the owners.
