two bowls of food on a picnic table

I was expecting overpriced crap but it was relatively reasonable to where it's located and very good. I would've given five stars if the bartender wasn't such a moody cranky B. She was atrocious and made a terrible drink. Lobster roll was yummy, clams were delish, to sweet potato tots are worth the upcharge but don't sleep on the Greek salad- that was fab!

Clam chowder, fish & chips (all GF) both were delicious

Absolutely beautiful location. Food was delicious. All GF, too. Best French fries I've eaten in a while. Counter service was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. No complaints. Great food at comparable prices with an amazing view. It's a bit out of the way but definitely worth the brief ride!

Was looking for a place to eat before meeting someone onsite at the Cliff House. Nubb's seemed perfect. It was the perfect location and it does have the cutesy factor but resort pricing and resort ambiance would lead me off site if I had the time to spare. Orders are taken as you enter the restaurant, a walk up ordering station where you order, pay and receive a buzzer to take to your table. Menu is classic lobster shack menu with resort pricing. The tables are a mix of indoor upscale picnic tables and regular tables. There is a bar in the restaurant and they serve a very good selection of local beers, this gets high marks! There were a couple of groups in the restaurant and they were having a good time. My lobster roll was fine, not one I would seek out. Fries were crinkle fries and looked and tasted like frozen fries. Coleslaw allocation was small, but it was good. So, overall I think Nubb's is good but I would not consciously come again unless I was staying at the resort or was pressed for time - meeting someone at the resort.

Always a pleasure to eat here when staying at the Cliff house. The lobster rolls are meaty and delicious. This time we also tried the big lobster, which was exceptional. Prices are good, ambiance is casual and views are spectacular

Menu -order at counter then carry food to dining area.

If you're looking for lobster everything along with ambiance, look no further!! First time here, I wanted a lobster roll but after seeing more on menu, chose a trio of rolls-lobster, crab & shrimp! Sooo good! I love that they had malt on the tables to have with my fries!! Yum! Cute rustic decor & of course the views are gorgeous! On other side of counter is more to the menu -tons of ways to get tater tots -hubby ordered lobster, brown buttered with cheese curds & whoa!!! I will be back! :)

Whoopie pie, blue berry pie, brownie and beignets. The beignets were probably the best.

Very nice people working here, My family and I sampled most of the desserts on the menu. The deserts here will get you a quick fix.

Nubbs lobster shack! Well you have to really be looking for it to find it! But when you do, you will have a great lobster roll with a breath taking view. The lobster was tossed in mayo and butter at our request. The lobster was tender and roll perfectly toasted. Located near the pool area of the resort. So find it and you will find the lobster Roll you have been looking for!

We called ahead and made reservations for the patio. This was our first time fine dining with our 6 month old and we had the best experience. My husband had the clam linguine which he said rivaled the spaghetti ala vongole we had in Italy and I had the broiled seafood trio (absolutely DIVINE). I am gluten free but currently also dairy free due to my baby having a dairy allergy. They were super accommodating of our allergies/intolerances and if our food was AS delicious as it was with modification- I can't even imagine how good the rest of the food is with dairy and gluten. We loved our meals so much we came back a second night for a repeat. This place does not miss. The oysters were incredible as were the drinks. Drew P. was our server and he was an absolute delight both nights. Highly, highly recommend The Maine Catch!

So, people who do not make reservations get the best seat?! Crazy. So, if you want the patio, DO NOT make a reservation lol. The food was excellent. We all had a halibut variation and it was as delicious with a lovely presentation. The house salad was very over-priced. I would have loved a smaller, cheaper salad. My 5 year old ate every bite of his grilled cheese. The kids menu was great! Only negative was the seating. I was literally touching elbow with the man at the table next to me. We were also there to celebrate a birthday (noted twice in reservation) and no mention was made which was a bit disappointing. Overall, we would go back, but next time we won't make a reservation.

And on top of it all...20% gratuity was added to our bill automatically. Maybe it was just an off night. But it wasn't even that busy. The food was pretty good. But for a supposedly family friendly restaurant, making our kids sit for hours and be up way past their bedtime with so little communication...it was all very disappointing.

Gosh, you just hope you made a memorable choice for the right reasons. We did - we both felt we not only received value for our dining dollars, we felt cared for by the staff and satiated by the kitchen. People like sitting outside - so the reservations reflected that and we could only be seated inside. Was not a disappointment to be seated inside. I highly recommend this restaurant. I had a steak sandwich and my dining partner had a chicken sandwich. Both were really tasty and well prepared. We only had water to drink and that was not a problem. I feel many times if I don't order an app or a drink a server becomes less friendly. That wasn't our experience here. I don't believe in over rewarding a place - but I feel a 4.5 out of 5 is appropriate. Since I can't give that - I rounded up to 5.

The menu varies by season and always reflects a local Maine touch. The appetizers are exquisite (Shellfish Tower, Shrimp Cocktail, Oysters, Salads and Chowders) and the entrees always tasteful whether its the lobster, salmon, scallops, which are always fresh , or the beef, chicken or duck dishes, all are perfectly cooked as ordered. The wine list is ample and if there is something that you want for a special occasion, you should call in advance and they may be able to order it. No guarantees but they try! And the desserts, well my mouth is watering as I write this. Please bring back the sticky toffee pudding!!! We have always found the wait staff to be professional, patient and polite. Dana and Javier have done a great job juggling the natural challenges in this area. Trainees shadow the pros and they learn how to handle the range of high-low and no maintenance guests. We have seen them all! The ambience is warm and inviting and of course, the many views of the cobalt blue Atlantic and Marginal Way from the roof deck and most tables simply wraps the entire dining experience into a magical evening. If you have never gone, plan your parking because like all great restaurants tucked into small seacoast towns in Maine, its is in short supply, and if you can't find it, there are pay-for parking options within a short 2 minute walk. So, all in all, you must take the time to visit M.C. Perkins Cove Restaurant when you are in Ogunquit.

Monday afternoon rolls around and still no credit and the charge posted. I called Javier, the owner and he said he didn't hear back from the 3rd party they use that actually charges their clients credit cards. I asked him to please call them back and he got angry and said don't tell me what to do and hung up on me. I contacted the third party company and they informed me that no one requested a credit under my reservation so I was lied to. We still have not received the credit promised and he refuses to return calls from me and my husband. They would rather you bring your sickness to their restaurant apparently. They clearly don't deserve or care about your well being and could care less about infecting their staff and other patrons! Shame on you.
