Headed there after a LONG week at work. Was greeted with we will need this table at 5:30 because it is reserved. Ok, I can respect that but no other table was offered even though we were the only ones on the patio. The food was mediocre at best. At 5:25 we were handed a bill and told they needed the table even though again the patio was not full. I was a paying customer. I have never been treated so rudely. I will never go back. Rude service, nothing special food. Surprised they are still in business. read more

This place is a hidden gem never once had a bad meal here!! I love the devils butter wings absolutely delicious!! My boyfriend got the smoked half chicken with fries I couldn't stop picking off his place!! This place is not a disappointment ever!! Love it!!! read more

To be fair, the food is pretty decent and the wait staff is very pleasant. The reason why I won't be going back, though, is because the guy whom I believe is the owner/chef has totally ruined this place for me. He likes to "hold court" at various tables when I've been there. He tells people stories about other people's failings and misfortunes. It shows zero compassion and class and I refuse to give anyone money who thinks it's okay to treat people like that. read more

We hadn't been there for a few years and it was not a good experience then. Today was not a redeeming retry. The steaks were tough, mash potatoes dry and no butter to help with that. Burnt rolls with on pat of butter. Salad was greens, they were fresh with just enough dressing to moisten it. Very little attention from the servers frantically trying to keep up. This was diner food at fine dining price. read more

DON'T GO HERE!! We usually have had great experiences here but our last visit was the last straw. We didn't have a real waiter and the "one" we had seemed rude and wasn't listening to our orders. My sisters order was completely wrong and the steak was dry along with the "vegetables" and "mashed potatoes" which weren't really mashed potatoes. Overall, it seemed like she was paying very little attention to us. On top of that, there were as a family next to us who had the same problem and they left most of their food on their plates. So... Avoid it at all costs!! read more

Went Friday night for spouse Bday. Bread was stale and dry but editable if you put enough butter on it. I had teriyaki chicken - guess it's a bad sign when they serve thin chicken breasts with a steak knife. I needed it. Spouse had salmon over spinach. Salmon was not good. Could not finish it and declined doggy bag. Arrived at 6:00 and was on way home at 6:50. At least it was fast (rushed). read more

We love the Paddock. It is our Friday place to have a light meal and a cocktail before we head into the weekend. When all the kids are home it is the best for a family get together. They make great drinks, great food and have a warm and friendly atmosphere! read more

We have lived here for almost 3 years now and decided to take my daughter there for her 13th birthday dinner. I was extremely disappointed. When we first walked in we weren't greeted promptly. The servers and host thought personal conversation was more important than the customer. The lady asked if we had reservations and we said no. She rolled her eyes and sighed. I didn't understand because it wasn't busy at all. We sat and nobody came to get even our drink orders until over 5 minutes and then it took forever to get our drinks. We had somebody completely different bring our drinks and then a male came and said he would be our server. We ordered our dinner and my steak was ordered medium. It came out over cooked. Because nobody came to check on us....I didn't say anything. Neither one of my kids even finished their dinner. The funny thing is that the place wasn't even busy. We had another family in the back section with us. Very disappointed but even more disappointed that my daughters birthday dinner was ruined. Service was horrible and food was ok. We won't be coming back! read more

I once ordered a burger for takeout and it was delicious. So I thought we'd go back for dinner one day, we went for Mother's Day. We waited over an hour, (and it really wasn't very busy at this point in the day)until we finally decided to ask where our food was. we saw other people arrive after us, eat and leave, and we were still waiting. we were furious and my kids were crying because they were so hungry. Over an hour and a half (if not 2 hrs)after we arrived, my husband got up and canceled our order and we left. My husband attributed it to racism. I think they just forgot to put our order in. Whatever the reason may be, the service was horrible and we won't be going back there even though we live like 60 seconds from there. read more

I dine here regularly and have never had a bad meal. Today I went in for my usual cajun burger for lunch but saw hot open turkey sandwich on the special list with stuffing, mashed potatoes and cranberry. It was the most unbelievable lunch I ever had there. Great job Dawn and Roger. And I can't say enough about our bartender/waitress Gerry. Don't miss out on eating here. read more

PC Paddock is bar none one of the best kept secrets in the Hudson Valley, specifically in the Poughkeepsie area! The food is always fresh and delicious. Roger the "non" CIA culinary chef creates his own unique dishes with unique flavors and innovation. Always trying new herbs and spices (home grown by the way) right there in his amazing gardens that surrounds the restaurant. Daily specials are always fun and exciting. Taste is always superb, quantities are plentiful, and presentation is eye catching. The menu is eclectic with something for everyone (kids included). American Cuisine at is best. I really dislike chains and this restaurant is a refreshing spot everyone needs to go to. Dawn is a hostess with the mostess always ensuring a quality visit with superb service. All of the staff, bartenders and servers are upbeat, attentive and professional. In the warmer seasons the outside patio is spectacular! spacious and beautiful enjoying the quiet open air. ...Off the beaten path and you will experience a sense you are so far away from home yet its really around the corner and convenient. Specific must tries: anything BBQ or grilled, they have an outdoor smoker for all their meats and it is bar none the best anywhere. Asian Cowboy Smoked Wings (my personal Fav, finger licking good lol) Burgers are mouth watering goodness, Salads are fresh, tasty with unique combinations that will satisfy your every dream. (shrimp and apple with a honey dressing mmmmmm) Soups fresh and delightful, great in any season. Fish, always fresh, simple, and tasty. I love their clams, scallops and shrimp especially! Pasta dishes are flavorful and satisfying. Quesadillas, nachos, all of it amazing and fresh. Sandwich combinations are delectable and will satisfy the palate for anyone. I highly recommend this local gem! Signed a Happy Clam- AKA Noel read more

This restaurant has declined rapidly over the last few years. The owner/hostess is never friendly and the service is horrible. Always an excuse why you have to wait...waitress called in/ cook didn't show. It might be ok for wings and a beer but anything beyond that is not worth the money. So sorry to see this place slowly go out of business. read more

Although we have eaten there many times, this time was disappointing. Their devil wings are NOT hot, not at all. But our biggest problem was that we wanted to bring our dog, a 20 lb corgi so very small who sits quietly under the table.....we were escorted to the side of the patio that has NO shade and the grass and weeds grow wildly, vs the nicely shaded covered, clean side....very upset at this. My husband brought the dog home but I would have just left. Moral of the story, don't go here if you have a dog in the summer. read more

Service was great. The burger was awesome a little pricey but excellent. I ordered chicken wings I forgot to ask to get them well done, they weren't rare but they were tasteless. I asked for mild sauce on the buffalo wings and it seemed like there was no sauce. Nonetheless I would go back again read more

We've been here for dinner a few times and enjoyed it, so we were excited when we were invited there for dinner tonight. We won't be going back again. The service was slow, and the food, with the exception of the french onion soup, was not good. It took 45 minutes for our table to get our salads, soup, and bread, and we only got it because we went and asked someone where our food was. Our main dishes were not worth the wait. The prime rib was completely raw and rubbery, and my husband was afraid he would get sick if he ate it. The shrimp in my salad was overdone, and the salad had the wrong dressing. The medium rare burger someone in our group ordered was definitely well done. All in all, it was a beautiful night to eat dinner outside, but I can't say any of us enjoyed this meal. read more

Service poor Wings good wait times very long. No reservation so they sat us near smokers. Not very friendly hostess

Blond haired hostess is not very friendly . Too pricey for the food they serve. I ordered a NY strip steak and it had grizzle all the way around it and down the center. Onion rings where great, potato skins where way to thick and half cooked. Sorry but I would not go back again. read more

I'm not a complainer but I have to say something, especially if any of you use Restaurant.com gift certificates. Tonight I ate at PC Paddocks with a Restaurant.com certificate. They wouldn't honor it because we at nachos, burgers and beer for $38. Certificate says Minimum purchase of $35. Excludes Fri-Sat. 18% Gratuity added prior to discount. Valid for Dinner ONLY. We went for dinner. We spent $38. They said you have to order off Dinner Menu. We ordered off the menu that was handed to us, the dinner menu. They said drinks aren't included. Nowhere on the certificate does it say that. She told me I'd have to use the certificate another time. I told her there won't be another time. read more

Recently moved back home after being gone for a few decades. I love this place! Having a weak heart for horses, farm, antiques and cozy places like this one!!! Paddock has my business. They were friendly and always seemed busy. My family was very happy with the meals we ate a lot... do recommend!!! read more

My wife and I ate here last night. The food is good pub fare. The standout here was the fries. Huge sliced potatoes with the skins left on. There's also an extensive selection of bourbons. Mention this to the owner and he'll give you a very detailed explanation of his high end line of bourbon. The service was excellent, from the wait staff to the owner himself. My wife enjoys NA beer and at first, they could only offer ODoul's, which is a disappointment. Within 5 minutes the owner came back with a nice cold Becks NA, which we appreciated very much. Stop by this place if you like that local feel with the great service. read more

PC's Paddock is a great place to eat American cuisine with a mixture of all types of food including Caribbean and smoked. They have an outside patio during the summer which is both nice and large. The prices are inexpensive and they always have unique and creative specials. The artichoke dip is delicious and the NY Strip is the perfect dinner. They also provide fresh fruit bread or banana bread during dinner hours. Overall a great place to drink and dine. read more

We didn't have a reservation but where's seated right away on the charming patio. The varied menu had something for everyone in our party. The portion sizes are very generous. We will come back when in town. read more

Met my friend there for lunch. It was a beautiful day with a nice breeze so we decided to eat outside under the tent on the patio. Food and service were good, however someone should tell the owner/chef/smoker person that smoking brisket outside when the wind is blowing and people are eating is NOT a good idea. At one point I started choking, my clothes smell like smoke. All that smoke is really toxic and we couldn't understand how he couldn't see that it was billowing over to the patio. Not concentrating on the big picture, I guess, which means, this isn't a professionally run place. Oh and if owner/chef/smoker reads this and says, "Why didn't they say something? We would have moved them inside." That is not our responsibility as patrons. It's the owner/chef/smokers responsibility, along with the staff to offer to move us, or shut off the smoker or something. Too bad, everything else was nice. Won't be going back. read more

Love, Love, Love this place.....Food is terrific and reasonably priced. Great wine and other drinks! Service is great! It's our go to place!

Friendly staff, ample parking, ordinary menu, prices a bit high, long wait for service, cramped interior; the food was good but not outstanding. Curiosity to try this restaurant is satisfied but not enough to consider it a 'favorite' read more

Always a decent meal for a fair price. It isn't amazing quality and service but is fair. I would give a better ranking if the staff were friendlier and had appropriate training for hospitality. I eat out nightly and find them to be consistently off and making excuses. I've also experienced a younger male bartender being rude to customers and discouraging them from ordering food at the bar. The food and atmosphere are decent though and the outdoor patio is great in the summer. read more

While the food here was very good, the hostess left a bit to be desired. On Saturday, November 28, 2015, I was meeting a group of friends with a 7:00 pm reservation. When I arrived at 6:45 pm, I realized that I did not know what name the reservation was under. The hostess told me what reservations were still waiting to be seated, but neglected to inform me that she had already seated my party prior to 6:45. At no time did the hostess tell me to check to see if my party was already seated. Not only had my party been seated prior to 6:45 pm, but they had informed our server that they were still waiting for me. I ended up waiting for 15 minutes until I decided on my own to check the dining room found my party. read more

I have to say can't help but write on this one. The hook fish fry Friday's 9.99, look at the reviews all are great. We reserved 4 adults. Nice atmosphere. Booking was easy. Well fish fry is only for take out. What? Ok get the fish sandwich same but on breed...it was terrible hammed flats three readings and fried. Sandwich was dry. Wife ordered scallops linguine, scallops under cooked and on their last day. Could taste the bacteria setting in. Had to beg for bread.. well we dropped 275 including tip. Won't go there again.. what ever happened to good fresh food and the good serving of fish.. I will go to McDonald's at least it taste good is worth the money and I know what I'm geeking. read more

We had the most tasteless steaks we have every had. I would say the only decent food, was the mashed potatoes. Service was slow and with an attitude and drinks were weak... Will not be returning. read more

I ordered the chicken caprice and it was so tough I couldn't cut it with a steak knife. Not to mention it was covered with canned mushrooms and a sauce that had no flavor. Portabella mushroom quesadilla not great. This was filled with canned mushrooms, canned peppers and undercooked onions. The Steak Diane was tough and full of gristle and fat. Looks like it was nuked. Green beans were not cooked and tough. If you like previously frozen food and canned veggies this is your place. We prefer fresh ingredients. I would never, ever eat here again. Wait staff was very young and friendly. Our waiter was friendly and apologetic. If this place doesn't step up their game they will be out of business very quickly. GO TO ADAMS AND BUY SOME FRESH VEGGIES!!!!!! read more

I finally got the chance to visit. The dining area was full ( reservations requested). So we sat at the bar to eat , which was fine. We all enjoyed our cocktails, entrees steak ( very good Hereford beef) and salmon dishes. Huge sides of fresh veggies and potatoes. The bar maid was attentive to our needs.. For a bar area it was well lit and the acoustics were great.... Not so noisy we couldn't hear each other. We will definitely return with a reservation next time !!! read more

Went for the first time on Friday, 7/19/19, the food was very good, but the a/c is terrible. Yes it was hot and humid, but we were seated at a table in the back and the a/c unit is in the wall above, but w/a shelf blocking the cool air. There was a ceiling fan, which was not on, which would have circulated the air. We mentioned it to one of the wait staff and was told that the a/c just "kicked" on, well as we were eating w/sweat pooling on our foreheads, never felt the a/c. Mentioned it another wait staff and asked about the ceiling fan, no real answer. I'm sorry but you need to be sure that your customers are comfortable and neither of these people seemed to care, we would have been cooler outside w/the hot/humid air as at least there was a breeze every so often ! I emailed my concern and all I got was an apology, really? How about looking into it and answering my concerns with how you will fix and address it in the future and not say, that the a/c is only 1 year old !!!!!! read more

Friendly owners and staff and a great menu. If the ribs are on special you have to have them. Smoked right outside, they fall off the bone. The rack of lamb is awesome as well. What ever you order you can't go wrong. Lunch is equally delicious. A must try if you are in the area. read more

The thing about these reviews is that you have to rate restaurants according to their category and fairly within that category. So, as I was expecting a local bar/grill type place, I was very very happy. Surprisingly happy. The smoked wings really are awesome. The sandwiches were good as well, really good. The prices were fair and the service was very friendly and helpful. A few things that I wasn't thrilled about- it's carpeted, and not especially clean. My paper menu was covered in what seemed to be long term grime. There are so many knick-knacks that I just don't know how they keep up with them. Still, who cares? The food is good and it made us very happy on a beautiful day on their outside patio. read more

Outside and inside dining, coupled with good food and a warm greeting, make this a favorite eating spot for us year-round. The owners, Dawn and Roger, circulate and check in on their customers regularly, as do the always attentive wait-staff. Drinks are generous, with 2-for-1 specials in the summer, and a nice (but modest) selection of beers on tap. Anything Roger BBQs (the pulled pork is one of my personal favorites) is always good, and the Po-Boy sandwiches are also excellent and filling. I have also enjoyed the salads when I'm in the mood for something lighter, and for an appetizer, the Nachos are a meal in themselves. read more

Eaten here many times over the last ten years or so, Food and service always good.

I feel it's the best place around to eat . Very good food with awesome service. Very fair price

We have eaten here several times now, both as a couple having a quiet night out and with my folks. Service is great. Lotsof greatchoices on the menu, and everything I have ever ordered arrived in large portions, hot, and tasty. I love that I can always leave with delicious leftovers for lunch the next day. Beer selections are nice but standard. Mixed drinks are pretty fantastic. We will go back often! read more
