I've come here many times, food is good, typical Panera. It gets very busy here at lunch due to large company located close.

I ordered an you pick two with half a steak sandwich and over half of my sandwich had no meat on it at all. There was onions and cheese sauce, but zero meat. It wasn't because most of the meat was on the other half, because where there was meat it was extremely thin. I have been getting this same sandwich at other Paneras, I know what it is supposed to look like. This wasn't just bad, it was a complete rip off, no other way to describe it. I will never go back to the Haun store again. Who knows what happened to 60% of my meat, maybe the teenager who made it ate half of it, or maybe the manager is trying to cut his food costs. Learned a valuable lesson today.. when you order to go, you get absolutely screwed. I paid extra for a bread bowl and barley got enough soup to fill it up halfway (picture is immediately after pouring the soup in - no time for it to soak). Absolute rip off. Great little stop for lunch! One word of caution - it's crowded! The line to order moves fast and the staff brings your food out pretty quickly, too. The "pick 2" option works well for me. I've had their vegetarian black bean soup, the classic salad and the tuna sandwich...all in different combos in the Pick 2. They're all very tasty, not overly huge as far as portions, oh, and they give you the option of receiving a piece of french baguette bread or an apple with your lunch. Tried to contact Panera bread but couldn't get thru on there website. This PB has the Rudest people working. I didn't get the rude girls name basically bc she wasn't wearing a name tag but why would she since she was an awful Panera bread employee. When you go there BE SURE to check your order. We ordered 3 dinners and 2 of them were missing something from them. You buy a you pick 2 you should get 2 items...we got 1. Both missing the soup. Never left the parking place and the stupid girl said we took it out of the bag. Really? Both items had checks by them and both items were not in the bag. Then when I Wes ready to blow a fuse she said, "well we are out of broccoli cheddar". Then I said so you knew you were out of it? And you delivered it to us in the car without the soup. So you didnt say a thing and we paid for it. I said so you are stealing from the customers. She didnt care at all. She then said we could have another soup. Terrible CS. Then she went in got 2 soups and said hers ur soup. Walked away into the door and turned around-laughed and YELLED "have a good nite and laughed". Never again will we go there again. Been here quite a few times. The location is convenient, next to the Prominade mall. The food has been hit and miss. Sometimes its been really good, and twice now, there have been slip-ups. I've gotten luke-warm soup once, and some funky salad one other time. It's been ~15 trips, and both times, the issue was remedied immediately. Can't complain with that. I've never had any issue with the bagels or other bakery items. If you have been to any other Panera bakeries, you know what to expect atmosphere-wise... Starbucks-ish cafe style + booths, and free internet (WOO HOO) The customer service isn't as good as other locations, but every now and then, somebody will come by with some free samples of whatever, and it will cheer me back up. lol. Though, it has been a while since I got my last free sample. Maybe they cut that out as of this posting? Anyways, its the closest Panera to my house, so I will keep going until it gets really bad. The line is always to or out the door, but it moves super fast. I was a HUGE fan of their creamy tomato soup until I actually picked up the calorie guidelines and saw how much it really contained. Mediterranean Salmon Salad is great! Not a 5-star salad because the salmon didn't have that fresh, distinctive, salmon taste which I'm so fond of in a salmon. It actually tasted very plain. The lettuce and the dressing with the feta cheese were top notch as far as combining to give a nice fresh taste. The steak and bleu cheese salad was also good lacked meat. Of course people ordering salads generally aren't bodybuilder unless they happen to be on a carb cut which is precisely what we were doing getting a salad haha. The staff at this location are PHENOMENAL. Every time we have gone they are not only kind and efficient they offer suggestions to make your meal and experience even better. Today was no different, and was indeed above the norm- didn't know it was possible. I was bussing my own table- because I can easily imagine the amount of clean up they do daily- when a team member (likely a manager- which speaks volumes about their leadership culture!) told me I didn't have to do that and she would take care of it. I told her I didn't mind and mentioned I had five kids, so it's a habit to clean up. On my way she gave me some treats to give to my children. Inconsistency is the best single word to describe this venue. The food is a good value, it can be tasty and it's always fast. Why can't the people be trained to fill orders consistently? I shouldn't have to check the bag before I leave the restaurant to make sure our orders are right, but I always do and there's usually something missing. It is annoying and if there was another quick service provider nearby they would get our business. Tonight wasn't any different. Horrible experience. The most pathetic turkey cranberry flatbread sandwich EVER. ONE slice of turkey 1/2 tsp cranberry sauce and 20 spinach. Unbelievable. And the dining room was deplorable. This place is okay. Same as any other Panera if you have been to one for the flavors. I personally like to purchase their bagel deal where you get two tubs of cream cheese with the bagels. Sandwiches are pretty spot on with what to expect from them. The chocolate chip cookie has always been a favorite of mine here. Unfortunately every time I have been to this location I have been disappointed with their customer service. It bothers me as well with the fact that when I come in they're not that busy and the servers I have had came off as rude. Panera on Nicole Lane was a disappointment, usually they are all the same and you know what you get, I had the turkey chili which had way too many chick peas, I actually had to spoon them out of the chili so I didn't feel like I was eating chick pea chili, they didn't have a dark roast coffee and I asked a server and he said No they don't have it? I usually have no trouble getting dark or med roast, they only had light roast. I ordered a hot green tea also, got the cup to fill with water and get a tea bag, no green tea, they had 3 out of 6 tea bag bins. When i asked the lady she was polite and said that is all they have, so i recorded a cold green tea. The bread roll was so so, when usually I devour it, I left some on the plate with the chick peas. My light roast coffee isn't appealing either, usually I take their coffee pretty fast and delicious considering it was my first coffee for the day. The server was polite and friendly and 5 star. Me and my husband went Thursday night and had their pick 2 meal which I love the brocolli cheddar soup and Thai salad. The food was great but the soup is child's temp. I like my soup hot specially in a cold night. So I was disappointed by that. 2nd thing, we had a hard time looking for a clean table. It's filty. Make u wander how they make their food cause its dirty everywhere. Most of the seats need to be change. They are ripped and dirty. I wish the manager would put extra effort to make sure their place is clean and neat. They need to assign someone to maintain their dining is clean. The trash is not full, condiments and coffee area is clean as well as their bathrooms. I love their pastries and the express order yourself. Its very convenient during busy hours. This is the only Panera branch that every time I decided to eat here, that every table and chairs are filthy. It's embarrassing and make u not want to come there and you can tell the manager and the emplyees are lazy and doesn't care. Otherwise they would have seen it and maintain it clean. They asked us if we had any coupons which we did not have, so we picked up the order and they gave us some coupons to use in the future orders. Very inconsistent with their food portions. I used to get full salads that are what they are supposed to be, but lately they are very little and almost look like half salads that you get with the pick two, but I am paying for a full salad. Also the ingredients in these salads change a lot too, very odd. Another thing is when I get cafe mocha's now, I always ask for a large and am charged the extra for a 20oz cup, but the last few times I have gotten one, it is two inches filled below the rim of the lid. Came in for lunch and was very disappointed. The cafe area looked untidy floor was in need of a good sweeping/ vaccum. Orders beacon turkey bravo and it was.missing the beacon. The tomato mozzarella was also very disappointing there was such a small.portion of mozzarella that you could not taste it. The tomato soup was good though, saddly that was the only positive thing I can say about this visit. The service in dinning area was also so.sad. when my husband asked for pepper since there was non on table the young man just said "oh its in the back" no offer to.bring some to table. This was my first time in for dinner and I will only be back for lunch, maybe. This was the first time I've experienced a below average time at a Panera restaurant. I've probably dined at this Temecula Panera location once prior. The Escondido location seems to run much better in service and restaurant standards. Upon arrival I stood back and took my time to review the menu since you need to place your order with a cashier, reading the menu located above their heads. I was interested in the Featured Items and had a couple of questions for the cashier. I asked if the Soba Noodles are served with a soup or salad. The answer was, "we're out of that." So my second choice was Pasta Primavera, to which the cashier again replied, "we're out of that too." It was 6:30 PM on a Saturday night so it seems disappointing that their "featured" dishes would be out (86'd). The customers coming in were steady and the restaurant should have been prepared to serve the full menu. We ended up ordering Tortellini Alfredo with Broccoli Cheddar soup and Penne Bolognese with Garden Vegetable Soup. When we found a table we had to ask for the booth seats to be wiped down since there were crumbs on them. This was done without hesitation by the assistant manager who stopped cleaning the trash area to help us. We waited about 10 minutes for our meal - allowed us time to wash our hands and fill out beverages to be ready for dinner. When the plates were delivered to our table the server was not careful placing the plates down then (which was set in front of the wrong person, not a big deal, she didn't hear my shy 9-year old daughter say, "that one is mine") she slide it over causing some of the soup to spill out of the bowl and soaking the napkins on my plate. (The plate acts as a tray for the two bowls and the bread is placed on the napkins served on the plate.) So I got up to get new napkins before I could eat. I got the napkins at the beverage and condiment station and taking the last packet of butter I had to ask for more at the service counter. While standing there waiting for the butter, I noticed that the trash area was filthy! The top of the trash had dirty bowls and plates just sitting there, I guess earlier I disturbed the guy who wiped off my seat who then forgot to return and finish cleaning that area. My table backed against that trash bin and to avoid looking at the trash longer I took the one butter to my daughter which at the same time the girl brought out the bucket of butter to the condiment counter. So I went back to get my butter. At this point things are just okay, not really bad enough to make a story out of things but finally back in my seat, luckily the bread was warm and flakey which was good because my cold hard butter was able to melt in between the bread while I started on my Garden Soup. The tortellini and soups were decent except the Penne Bolognese was not edible. Do not order. It tasted like plastic and the noodles were over cooked. Actually, it tasted like it was sitting in the food warmer back in the kitchen for too long. I wished they were out of that meal too so I wouldn't have been able to order it. This was a night out with my daughter so I enjoyed being there with her and finished my soup. Unfortunately, once you start to have a poor experience you start noticing every little detail like the littered floors, sloppily set dining chairs and on the way out of the restaurant the scattered newspapers at the carry out counter. I am a catering and conference manager and have many years of working in a restaurant. Unfortunately, I know that my experience tonight was a case of poor management. I feel that the staff tonight felt they were doing their job well. However, in the Food & Beverage industry it's all about customer service first then attention to details in the service areas. Don't go here if you are hungry and looking to actually eat things. Every salad is a half portion, even when you order a full salad. I had the new Hummus, Chicken, Spinach. I could barely detect the smearings of hummus on the paltry amount of chicken. I would have sent it back or demanded a refund but I only had 20 minutes. My wife's portions on her sandwich were smallish too. She, typically, loves Panera, but she voluntarily made a video promise on my phone to never ask me to go to Panera again. Drop your dime at the Pho place next door or Sub Marina across the street. Much more value at one of those places. read more
