This is one of my favorite lunch spots in the area. I love that the food is made fresh and always cooked to perfection. The flavors are amazing as well. I had never been a sweet potato fry person until I tried there's with their peri mayo and I'm OBSESSED. Their focaccia bread with their signature dip is so good too. I think it's some kind of blended olive oil / vinegar mixture and it's so so so good. I've had their tri tip before which was good but my go to is their BBQ Chicken Plate. The chicken is cooked to perfection and I can mix and match my sides to my liking. I can always count on getting a great and healthy meal when ordering from here. This place was okay. They had a 4-star rating and there was a majority of good reviews. But I wasn't impressed, there was nothing special about this place, and overall it was just okay. We stopped for dinner and the did not appear busy. There was plenty of free parking available in the shopping center and indoor/outdoor seating. It was very windy and too cold to eat outside, so we opted to eat inside. There were only four tables to choose from and one bathroom. This became an issue when someone was already using the bathroom, probably blowing it up since it had already been five plus minutes, and both of my kids had to go (we ended up going to Trader Joe's to use the bathroom). The food finally came out. We ordered 2 tri-tip plates, a chicken sandwich, a kids quesadilla w/rice, and 4 drinks. I was concerned about the tri-tip after reading many others complaining about it being overcooked. This was not an issue. The meat came out cooked perfectly, but the pieces were small. The mashed potatoes were good and buttery. The mac & cheese was good and had a nice flavor. The Brussel sprouts were undercooked, hard, and bland. The bread had soaked up the blood from the tri-tip and was soggy gross. The kids quesadilla was literally 2 store bought tortillas and some sprinkled cheddar cheese that wasn't even melted in between. I didn't care for it, but I'm glad my son ate it. This used to be one of my favorite spots--fresh, clean, and high quality. Something has seriously changed. There were barely any people there, yet our food took about 35 minutes. When it came out, the tri-tip was like beef jerky--dry and rock hard--and the rice was soggy and inedible. The tri tip looked like dehydrated chucks. Our salad and sandwich weren't much better. The dressing was terrible, and my BLT came with stale cold ciabatta bread. Another couple actually asked for a refund too, which says a lot. What made it worse was how awkward the staff made it when we asked for a refund, when the food genuinely wasn't edible. Nobody seemed to even offer an apology or anything at the register, even when the manager was called. He just stared at me. Not sure if it's new management or what, but this place is not what it used to be. I wouldn't even give it one star after tonight. read more

This was my first time here. This place had a rustic ambiance. Seating inside and outside. Outside does have heating. Let's get the Con out of the way. The Tri Tip was over cooked. Very well done, so it was a little dry. Now the rest of the food was great. The Roasted Brussel Sprouts were great. Not to mention the Korean Cauliflower. My son loved the butter noodles. The American Burger was cooed to the medium well as we asked. You can also taste the quality of the grass fed meat. Service was Al's a great quality of this location. Just don't ask the manger to pour your beer. Stick with Evan, he is great at his job. He is very polite and knowledgeable. Not saying the manger is bad, just doesn't know how to pour beer. That said, it feels a little overpriced, especially when you have to pay extra for fries on the side--even though there's no table service. You're literally walking up, ordering, and sitting down, so the extra charge feels a bit much. The staff at the counter can be hit or miss--sometimes they're super kind, and other times they're surprisingly rude. There's really no in-between, so each visit feels like a bit of a gamble. Overall, I love the food and would come back, but I wish the pricing and the consistency of the staff matched the quality of the food. read more

This review is a mix of the location we went to and corporate. We were going to be in town and I tried several times to talk to someone at this restaurant. I called several times with no success and I sent an email contact form which was never answered. When we went I had to ask a lot of questions because we have someone with allergies, these were the questions I was hoping to ask beforehand and didn't get to. But, I was hoping that with the marketing all over about ingredient quality that the would be knowledgable about the food. The person helping me seemed really annoyed by my questions which is tough, it was also clear that he wasn't sure about the answers he was giving me so we had to avoid almost everything for one of the people in our party. This is a great little spot for lunch. I had the Vegan avocado hummus sandwich. It was delicious and had a good combo of flavors. Bonus points for having a vegan option on your menu. :) My husband had the California burger and said it was very good. We ordered a kids chicken that came with a side and a kids buttered noodles that did not come with a side. The only suggestion I would have would be to include a side with all kids meals. Also having a side with the sandwiches and burgers would be nice. With that said the prices are low enough à la carte. The place was very clean and I loved the nice cozy rustic patio. Tucked in by Trader Joe's so parking can get sketchy, but this place is worth it. My daughter and two granddaughters met me here for lunch and we loved everything we tried. The Millionaire's BLT was fire The garlic parm fries were hard to put down. Glad there were four of us so I didn't eat them all. The customized bowls were filling and delicious! There is a lot of outdoor seating but it was hot so we sat inside. Not too roomy in there to be honest and I'm sure we were loud, but the staff didn't seem to mind us hanging out for an hour. I don't know what happened to this place; it used to be wonderful. I hadn't been there in years, so I came in and ordered a tri-tip bowl. They now charge for the mashed potatoes, the vegetables aren't roasted anymore, and the tri-tip was awful. I couldn't eat the trip-tip, it was like chewing on a leather shoe. The tri-tip was cut into chunks of instead of being sliced. The meat wasn't cut against the grain resulting in tough grizzly meat I wasn't able to chew! The tri-tip had no flavor. Don't waste your hard earned money on this dog food quality meal. I took pictures of the meat but don't know how to attach them. Did. this restaurant change ownership? I went here with a friend to have lunch. When we arrived there were only two people inside the restaurant and the other couple that was as the place was sitting outside. While the weather was too warm to sit outside, we probably should have. The cashier who took our order did not greet us, and seemed annoyed to be working. She was an older short female with black hair (I think she was the manager). Once we got out food and sat down we were under constant barrage from flies. It got so bad that we had to retreat outside and suffer in the heat. I will never go back to this place. The food was mediocre, not bad but I kept thinking if maybe there were some flies in my food. Me and my son were in the area and decided to try Bushfire Kitchen for dinner. My son ordered the veggie burger ,vegetable empanada (empanada was good)and iced tea. I ordered salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts with a lemonade. The order came up to $55.00 and some change. When the food arrived at the table I was disappointed that it was not hot and the mashed potatoes had no flavor of garlic but they gave a container of watered down lemon sauce. The bread was hard and so were brussel sprouts. I compared the food to a step above cafeteria grade. I enjoyed that the staff was very nice and the music playing outside was great! Mobile ordered an hour prior and then arrived and was told "we got slammed with orders so it'll be a few" not a big deal. But then they forgot my bread and the steak is dry and my broccoli doesn't have the miso on it it's just steamed broccoli. $21 for this is a joke. We've been coming here for the past five years and it was always one of our FAVORITE places to have lunch. I always order the chicken curry bowl and I would eat half and take the other half home for dinner. The past year or so the portions have been getting smaller as the prices go up. I've been here twice and have only been disappointed in one very tall teenage girl who works there because my husband asked for Mac & cheese, but gave him veggies instead.
