Overall: 5 stars Love the flavor profile of the Korean food here that has a nice balance between different tastes. I appreciated their accommodating nature as well when I was late by an hour due to some gnarly mechanical issues from public transit. (Kimchi Galbi: A) - Delicious broth that looks incredibly spicy but is actually incredibly flavorful with a tomato forward premise. The meat is tender and I loved how they served it with a quarter head of cabbage. (Galbi Tang: B) - Comforting, warm clear broth with extremely tender short rib and daikon. The contents were a bit minimal though and I wished I found more aside from scallions inside. (Banchan: A+) - Love the side dishes from the seafood pancake to the japchae to the seasoned greens that covers all the food groups. This makes up for the minimal nature of the Galbi Tang. Galbi jjim, spicy cold noodles, banchans

Came here on a saturday evening at 5:30 PM with a reservation, and were seated immediately. The interior was very modern, and the waiters were quick to take our orders and refill our banchans and barley teas. The banchans were some of the better ones I've had in comparison to other korean restaurants in the city, with items such as tteokbokki and seafood pancake. I tried the spicy cold noodles and the galbi jjim, which were both delicious. I loved how the galbi jjim was served over a flame, and how tender and juicy the meat was. I also loved how chewy the cold noodles were.

Came here with a friend after work. This is one of his go to Korean spots. The place has a rustic modern vibe and has tables upstairs. They serve really tasty banchan (complimentary side dishes). The table also gets a complimentary barley tea/drink in a glass bottle. Started off with honguh jjim which is a fish appetizer dish, and it was good and didn't have a fishy smell. For my main, I got the sullingtang (bone marrow soup) which comes with noodles on the side. This was solid dish and really enjoyed the soup base. If you're in the mood for sullongtang and in the Ktown area in NYC, I would recommend Olle.

Stopped by Olle for a spontaneous lunch after getting off a 5-hour bus ride and was seated right away. The space leans dark and modern, much more upscale than a typical "mom-and-pop" shop. They brought out banchan (kimchi, spinach, pajeon, and soy-marinated egg) soon after I ordered, and all four were excellent. The kimchi was fresh and crisp with a light sweetness and spice. The pajeon is clearly a fan favorite and easy to see why. GAMJA TANG - 20.95 +9.99 for soondae (6 pieces) The gamja tang portion was massive, which was honestly overwhelming after I wolfed down the banchan. It came loaded with pork bone meat (more bone and fat than meat) and potatoes in a thick, spicy broth. The broth itself was quite thick since there's also some potatoes. The broth was flavorful but quite salty, and hard to access under the pile of bones. I also didn't feel like enjoying it with rice since I was too full. The soondae was underwhelming; it was dry and falling apart, not worth the add-on. I definitely over ordered and couldn't finish. The gamja tang wasn't my favorite, so I'll try something lighter next time (maybe the galbi tang). That said, the banchan alone makes Olle worth visiting -- definitely dine in for the full experience. If you are looking for a hole-in-the-wall vibe, though, this isn't it.

Dinner for 4 at Olle was FANTASTIC!! The Galbi Jjim is NOT TO BE MISSED! So delicious. We ordered the fried rice add on but forgot to leave some Galbi to be mixed in lol. We also ordered the braised Bork bone stew, cold noodles and the pork belly. Everything was so good. We also ordered the chestnut makgeolli and the guys were a bit suspicious but everyone ended up having multiple rounds. The staff was also very generous with the bonchon which is always a positive with me! Everything is also decently priced too! Highly recommend, can't wait to come back!

Have been meaning to come to Olle for a while and had a lovely dinner! My cousin and I made a reservation for Friday night, and luckily we were seated right away. They have two floors from what I remember, and it was nearly a full house! I loved the dimly-lit, low-contrast ambiance and the wooden designs, making for an intimate and cozy space with good service. The banchan (side dishes) were also amazing, all very flavorful and complemented our entrees well. We ordered the golbaengi somyeon and mini galbi + mool naengmyun duo, although maybe next time I'd order one more thing for 2 people: Golbaengi somyeon (4/5): I was craving golbaengi (sea snail? whelk?) because I feel like it's not a very common ingredient and so was super excited to get it! It had a lovely chewiness to it like a meaty shellfish that worked well with the spicy marinade and balanced with the clean, refreshing somyeon, which are just thin flour-based noodles (almost flavorless imo, but in a good way). I think it could have been more proportionate with the amount of golbaengi and noodles because there was more of the spicy marinated vegetables - personally would've liked more noodles to help with the spice. Mini galbi + mool naengmyun (4.5/5): Loved this classic combo; the galbi was caramelized aromatically and the mool naengmyun (cold noodles) was especially so yummy, so palatable and cut through the richness of the beef with the icy and slightly acidic broth.

I have never been so disappointed in a NYC restaurant before. We ordered the galbi jjim and the bokkeumbab. I wanted to go to a different restaurant but we were pressed for time since we had to leave for the airport. Maybe I don't know a lot of the prices for Korean restaurants in Manhattan, but the pricing for this restaurant was pretty ridiculous. When the galbi jjim came out, my meat was COLD. There were some pieces that were lukewarm and others that were not warm. On top of that, the server was a little rude and I understand he was trying to help us with the fried rice. The server kind of gave us attitude and treated like I didn't know what dol sot was (even though I'm Korean). Also, all of this was almost $100 and the portions were not big considering other restaurants I've been to that had galbi jjim.

Olle had been on my/my husband's radar for a while and we were able to snag a last minute Saturday night resy, which was so exciting!! We ended up sharing a small order of the Galbi with the fried rice add-on, along with the cold spicy noodles. Then, of course, got to enjoy some of the banchan! Banchan - all were deliciously prepared, it was a bit busy when we went so we weren't able to request more but all the pairings were soooo yummy. Cold spicy noodles - delightful amount of spice, they also offered to cut it for us which made sharing easier Galbi - meat was cooked perfectly. Flavors all melded really well. Then they turned it into fried rice?!?! Incredible. It was so hard to be patient and let the flavors meld into the rice before digging in, but it was so worth it. We also shared some makgeoli, which was delicious and paired well with everything we ate. Would recommend!

Came here tonight and what a wonderful meal! At this point, there are many Korean restaurants in the city... which makes us all lucky. What sets Olle apart is the care I can tell they put in the food. It helped I had someone who knows what to order but I can also tell from the other tables, that everything here is probably good .

Came here on a cold January afternoon for some even colder Korean noodles. The line was pretty short and it only took 15 minutes from our walk-in to get a table. Great service and atmosphere, with lots of seating and friendly staff. I ordered the mini galbi + mool naengmyeon. My friend ordered the bibim naengmyeon, which actually had a pretty different broth and only the faintest hints of spiciness. I was very happy with my dish- the noodles and soup were ice cold, while the galbi was nice and warm, creating a great balance as I alternated between the two dishes. The broth was light and refreshing, with that perfect blend of sweet and sour, and I ended up drinking all of it. The galbi was tender and flavorful, and the flame beneath it kept burning for most of our meal, keeping it hot. Given the weather outside, I left glad that I ordered something warm.

This is such an amazing spot for galbi jjim in ktown. They operate on a 90% walk-in only which makes it really convenient to get a seat. The mood is nice and intimate, but still good for groups. They offer a mini version of their popular dishes, like galbi jjim, and naengmyeon so it's good to sample. I've never had a bad experience here as both the food and service are excellent. Their dishes are very flavorful and always cooked well. I also can't rave enough about their selection of banchan. Everything is fresh and changed out regularly.

Delicious galbijim and cold noodles (I prefer the spicy one). The banchan is also amazing. I could eat here everyday. You can ask for vinegar and mustard to eat with the cold noodles

Olle and Moono are competing to be my favorite to go casual dinner spot. Both places are very similar, but I'd give Moono the edge because of the desserts. The Shiregi Galbi was decent. I think the overall flavours could've been a bit more potent. I didn't really feel the galibi's presence and I think the brother could've used a hint of salt, but I still liked it overall because it reminds me of the Chinese Sauerkraut soup; they have pungent flavours, can bathe a main of your choice, and serve very well with rice. The main difference is that Chinese Sauerkraut is more on the sour side, while the Shiregi is more on the fermented side. The Sooyok was quite bland actually. The condiments were not nearly as strong as it should be, making the plate taste weak. Also definitely not worth for its price point. The Hooshik Naengmyon was a palette cleanser and could be a substitute for rice. I didn't get a chance to try the spicy one because some folks at the table wanted mild. Definitely a skippable plate. The last two mains left a really strong impression for the restauraunt: the Galbi jjim + Bokkeumbab and Hongguh jjim. The Galbi jjim was surprisingly very sweet, even though it looked plain. The Bokkeumbab is a nice addition to utilize the rest of the sauce, but I don't think the sweetness completely translated to the rice. The skate (Hongguh jjim) is a must eat! Like the Galbi jjim, the skate is sweet and tender, which again surprised me because the plated looked like a soy sauce steamed fish with paprika. It seems to be a restaurant favorite and I completly agree with that statement. Despite expressing great interest in only two plates, I came here for a family dinner and the vibes were great. We had a large party with multiple kids and everyone enjoyed their meal. Hopefully we won't be tired of Korean food in the future because we are definitely coming back. Still would really like a dessert menu though.

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

We walked into a warm and inviting space that feels comfortable for both casual meals and group dining, with a dining room that balances a contemporary aesthetic with the familiar energy of a neighborhood spot. The interior is thoughtfully designed, with a layout that accommodates both small tables and larger groups without feeling cramped, and the lighting and décor create a relaxed, approachable atmosphere. The food was one of the strongest parts of the experience, with the dishes feeling thoughtfully prepared and well balanced. We ordered the bossam and found the meat tender with good accompaniments that added layers of flavor and texture to each bite. The kimchi pancake had a nice texture and flavor, with a crisp exterior and a savory, slightly tangy interior that held up well against the dipping sauce. The hot pot options were also enjoyable, especially on a colder day when we wanted something more comforting, and the broth had a depth that made the dish feel complete. The banchan selection added variety to the meal and helped round out the table with different flavors and textures, from the familiar kimchi to the more subtle pickled vegetables. The restaurant also does a good job with dishes that are meant to be shared. Items like the croquettes, grilled dishes, and larger plates make it a good place to come with a group and try different things rather than ordering individually. The dessert options are also worth considering, with items like the tiramisu and black sesame ice cream adding a nice finish to the meal, the black sesame flavor offering a nutty, earthy note that paired well with the sweeter elements. Service was another highlight, with the staff being attentive and keeping the meal moving smoothly even when the restaurant was busy. They checked in at the right moments and offered guidance on the menu without being pushy. Since it is a popular spot in Koreatown, reservations are recommended, especially during peak dining hours. The atmosphere can get lively, but it still maintains a comfortable dining experience, with the noise level staying manageable even as the room fills up. Her Name is Han is a solid choice for Korean food in NYC, especially if you are looking for a place that combines traditional flavors with a more polished dining experience. The combination of quality dishes, welcoming atmosphere, and good service makes it a restaurant worth considering for both casual meals and special occasions, offering a meal that feels both thoughtful and satisfying.

We walked into a stylish but relaxed space that feels suited for both casual dinners and a night out with friends, with an atmosphere that balances energy and comfort well. The room gets lively when it fills up, but the noise level adds to the experience rather than detracting from it, making it feel like a place built for sharing and conversation. The food is where Hojokban stands out. The complimentary banchan sets the tone for the meal with flavorful sides that add variety before the main dishes arrive, each one thoughtfully prepared and offering a different texture or flavor profile. The gomtang soup is one of the more comforting options, bringing together tender meat, a rich broth, and classic Korean flavors in a way that feels hearty without being overly heavy. The galbi dishes are also a highlight, with the meat cooked well and carrying the sweet and savory balance that makes Korean-style grilled beef so enjoyable. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is noticeable across the board. The menu has several unique dishes worth exploring. The truffle potato pancake is one of the more memorable items, combining a familiar Korean staple with a richer, modern twist that adds depth without losing the essence of the original. The perilla oil noodles are another standout, offering a lighter but still flavorful option with a distinct nutty aroma that lingers on the palate. The beef tartare adds a more refined element to the meal, fresh and well seasoned, while dishes like the ramyun fried rice bring a fun comfort food element with bold, savory flavors. Together, the menu covers enough ground that you can build a meal around both familiar favorites and more creative choices. Service is friendly and the overall experience feels welcoming rather than overly formal. The staff are attentive without hovering, and they handle the busy flow of the restaurant with a pace that keeps the meal moving without feeling rushed. The menu is designed for sharing, and the portions make it easy to order several dishes across the table, allowing you to try more of what the kitchen has to offer. Hojokban does a good job blending traditional Korean flavors with a more modern dining experience. One of my guilty pleasures / comfort places to visit is BCD Tofu House. I have been coming here…read moresince I was a student and it doesn't disappoint. The food tastes good, the lunch prices are reasonable and honestly they have better ban chan than a lot of other places. (And where else are you going to get a full fish as a complimentary ban chan?) When you go you just have to get one of the soon tofu. It is their iconic dishes We ordered: LA Galbi Seafood soon tofu Tripe soon tofu Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the soon tofu.

The servers kept things moving but with very minimal interference and no extra visits; we would have liked a little more attention when we finished some of the banchan and kind of expected they would be replenished, but we certainly were fine without it. And the entrees were delicious and even with other tables almost on top of each other it never felt crowded due to partitions that I saw them remove for some larger groups needing tables "together", and I never felt part of someone else's dinner convo. Presentation was amazing and food was delicious - Soon Tofu Soup with seafood for me, which arrived bubbling like a cauldron. It came with a raw egg that you crack into the soup and let it cook to your level of doneness. Hubs got hot stone bibimbap and as we all know the crispy rice is the best part of it... it's just tough to separate it from the actual stone dish so you can eat it, especially if you wait until it cools and fuses. If I was there with more stomach space I wanted to try the galbi, and in fact there's a weekday lunch combo that could facilitate that.

They advertised themselves as having the best katsu in NYC and they may just be right. With our order it came with a bunch of side dishes. Kimchi, Marconi salad, and mashed potatoes, and others. They were all good. Food came out pretty quick as well. Don't think we waited too long for anything. After we were done they gave us some ice cream. I would absolutely love to come back here again for lunch and probably will.

The Ssambap Set was incredibly satisfying. The beef was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the fresh lettuce wraps, rice, banchan, and soup. Every bite was well-balanced and packed with flavor. We also ordered the Mixed Katsu Set, which was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and cooked to perfection. It came with generous portions and made for a comforting, filling meal. The restaurant has a modern and welcoming atmosphere, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everything arrived fresh and beautifully presented. If you're looking for a delicious Korean lunch in NYC's Koreatown, Jeong Yuk Jeom is definitely worth a visit. I'll be coming back to try more of their menu!

I would come…read moreback here in a heart beat and when I do, I can't wait to try the other items on the menu!!! Galbi-jjim and mushroom sotbap is literally a match made in heaven. The galbi-jjim was perfectly tender like I could literally pull it apart with my chopstick. The addition of the rice cake, pumpkin, and pyogo mushroom were a nice touch. The soy sauce base was a little sweet and if you take a bit and pour it over the mushroom sotbap, it is soooooooo good!!!!!!! The mushroom sotbap is so umami. There is foie gras in it which maybe be in a little overpowering for some people but I really enjoyed it I could easily eat a whole bowl of their freshly made kimchi. It was perfect. Not too salty or spicy or fermented. Literally perfect!!! I actually asked for seconds. The cold cucumber broth was really refreshing Highly, highly recommend making a resy!! There's a main dining room and a mezzanine. I sat at the mezz and got an amazing view of the main dining room. Service here is amazing. The only thing that I thought was a bit of a shame is that there's a $10 cake cutting service PER PERSON, if you wanted to celebrate a birthday. We got their fried chicken, beef tartare, 2 galbi jjim, and their bossam. Everything was phenomenal. While I think we could've skipped the chicken, the galbi jjim is a must-try. Cocktails are also great here. Amazing dining experience, food, ambiance, service, and I highly recommend.
