the tuna rice ball was prob the best thing we got. Dishes are a bit small compared to the price point but still yummy. I recommend making a reservation because it gets packed around dinner time. Especially on a hot summer day and everyone is just trying to get a bowl of cold noodles.

4 stars for dine in also. It's a small, casual, unassuming spot. Service isn't great - our server clearly was in a bad mood and seemed very unhappy every time he came over. The food was ok - I got the braised oxtail, which was fine, and my husband got the lunch special (available until 5pm!) of Galbi and soon dobu (the galbi was decent and more tender than when I got delivery). Though not sure I'd return.

Service: 4.6/5 Food: 3.7/5 Price: $30-$60 Pocha-esque restaurant with lots of tables + space. Good for conversation, it's not noisy at all. Not that dark in the day time. Classic Korean dishes that are good, not great. Good service- brought us bowls to share without us asking + packed our leftovers for us. Gives refills on the banchan. What I Ordered: - Kimchi: little spicy, fresh + crunchy, not funky (preferred) - Seafood Pancake: dough-y, not much toppings - Myeongdong Kalguksu: mild soup, comforting, fresh veggies, huge bowl + portion - Spicy Pork Bibimbap: sweet + not very spicy pork (preferred), good mix of veggies + flavor, greasy

Kimchi jjigae had really great spicy flavor, and I especially enjoyed the chunks of meat in the stew. Kalguksu was incredibly large, and was the perfect comforting dish on a cold day. Super cute atmosphere with lights and polaroids, and waiters were very attentive at refilling the banchan.

Very cheap, decent food. Seems like a family run business, they got their system down. Got the tteokbokki - looked like a small portion but was very filling. My husband got the dumpling soup with rice cake - this was delicious. Very hearty and filling.

We were supposed to go to a different Korean place, but then we found this one and it was a good surprise and glad we ended up trying it. Really good Korean food great hospitality from the servers. We got the seafood, egg, pancake, with some beef stew which was delicious deliciously, sweet and so tender and juicy. Then we got some cheesy type spicy ttopok (I forgot how to spell it), chapchae, and a lot of other things I really don't know how to spell because I could look on Google, but I'm trying my best on my own... Lol. Great food all around and we got a lot and I will definitely come back again.

We are looking for a hearty meal that reminds us of nice Korean aunty's cooking. And we stumbled upon this gem in midtown. The food reminded me of the meals that I had in Korea. Delicious, filling and heartwarming! We ordered: Bibim Naengmyu (Cold noodles) Bossam (This dish consists of a broth made by slowing boiling slowly braising seasoned meat) (don't forget to wrap it with napa cabbage) Bulgogi Stone Hotpot Bibimbab Even though, I really enjoyed the food. It was quite pricey. But you know what they say good things come with a price.

Food is great here, and would recommend for a night out with friends! The place was buzzing with activity even on a Monday night (there were even people waiting outside in the cold for a table!) I enjoyed their noodle soup and the meat dishes. Banchan is just radish kimchi and cabbage kimchi.

We came by Tosokchon for a late weekend lunch (around 2pm) -- the place was still bustling and practically full, but our party of 2 was still able to get seated roughly immediately. It's very lively inside and a bit loud (but not too hard to talk). We ordered the spicy pork hot pot bibimbap and the galbi tang to share; both were very delicious. The bibimbap looked really spicy and heavy, but fortunately it was neither -- the pork was cooked nicely without being too oily or salty, and the dish was nicely balanced with the fluffy rice, egg, and various veggies. The galbi tang was also great. The broth was clear and fragrant, and I love how rich the beef aroma came through in the soup. The beef itself was very tender and flavourful, and the radish and egg were yummy, too. Overall portion size was pretty large, which might explain the higher prices than expected. I think it's still worth it on balance though, and would very much want to come back to try some of their other dishes.

price - $75 including tax and tip food - 5/5 service - 5/5 ambiance - 5/5 i got the tteokbokki, bulgogi bibimbap, and japchae this tosokchon! my fav was definitely the bulgogi bibimbap especially since i got it on a cold winter day. the tteokbokki wasnt too spicy which was really good imo. the japchae wasnt too oily so i really like this as well. they also gave a bunch of banchans which i love at every korean restaurant! check out tosokchon when you get a chance for a casual meal!

LOVED this authentic Korean spot for cozy, delicious food. We got the yukhoe bibim naengmyeon & rose tteokbokki which were both insanely good. The cold noodles & the tteokbokki were chewy in the best way, both coated in lightly rich & flavorful sauces. The kimchi was also so tasty - some of the best kimchi I've had! I will say everyone around us got stews so I'm 1000% getting that next because it looked & smelled incredible.

Decent korean food that usually do not have a long waitlist. This place is a great for crowd pleasing as they have variation of traditional bbq or soup dishes like the samyetang, galbi tang, or bulgogi. The seating set up is also nice and spacious - bonchon: simple kimchis - Samyetang was good, but lacking the ginseng flavor especially since it's one of the more premium soup dishes. - spicy pork is decent, might have gotten an overcooked version

Came here after playing tennis and the cold bibim naengmyun was hitting Seafood pancake and bossam were also great. Lots of banchan options and all were yummy. Definitely would come back! Good service and decent seating

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

When we pulled up to the restaurant, we were informed there were a few levels. We went to the second floor and they were happy to accommodate us. We were rolling 6 deep and the booth was enough for us, but barely. In our party, majority of us wanted meat with the exception of 2 people only wanting shrimp and something else. We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

But there's no denying that BCD has upped their soondubu game considerably in the last decade+ with a thicker, more deeply flavored broth, and now easily rivals my longtime favorite and gold standard, the OG So Kong Dong in Fort Lee. Then I stumbled into a hack that changed my view: lunch! I ducked in for a late lunch on a whim while walking by one day, and this turned out to be a much chiller hour, unhurried and no reservation needed. I was promptly seated, my order taken, and the banchan swiftly laid out. The banchan spread is solid across the board (the little fried fish does nothing for me, but seems to be a highlight for everyone else). I especially love the kimchi, near-perfect IMO, and the pickled cucumber. There's a modest lunch discount, which is a nice bonus for someone who likes to order aggressively. I usually get an oyster, seafood, or assorted soondubu (with a raw egg cracked in), danger spicy of course! Or go the C1 combo route with a galbi (marinated bbq beef short ribs) + smaller soondubu. It's an enormous amount of food, so I take most of the galbi home and feel no shame about it. The galbi, by the way, has also gotten noticeably better over the years - meatier, tender, and the flavor is on point. I've also enjoyed their bibimbap, bulgogi, jap chae, and seafood pancake. Finally, let's talk heat - this chili-head loooves fire! And BCD's danger level is one of the rare instances where the spice level actually meets my punishing tolerance for heat, not some pretense at "American spicy.," despite this being a chain. Their danger level actually means business and brings tears to my eyes, literally. It's still not my favorite place ambience wise, and dinner remains a contact sport I've mostly opted out of, as gone are the days that I can tolerate a culinary mosh pit, and any wait longer than 10 minutes (and only for a superlative place) will trigger an automatic ejection of my presence. But for lunch? Unexpectedly great. 4 stars for dinner, 5 for lunch.
