BCD is just a classic spot and is consistently good and always tastes home-y. I decided to stop by for a quick lunch set and I'm so glad I did! There were a good amount of people eating during a weekday lunch and many were by themselves at a table. I ended up taking home leftovers because there was just soooo much food in the sets! Lots of banchan!

BCD Tofu House continues to keep its Korean eatery traditions despite becoming an increasing tourist attracting restaurant. Casual restaurant with no frills attached, menus in Korean and English, endless banchan with unsolicited refills, attentive servers who never check in but are by your side the moment you need them. If you know, you know. The galbi and tofu stew are always delicious, but this visits highlight is the seafood pajeon. Such a hit. Always so crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and filled with seafood. So delicious! Of course there is always a wait. We went on a Saturday Night at 7:30. We were told 1 hour wait and we stood outside behind 5 parties of 4-5 in front of us. 3 parties gave up and left. We were seated in 20 mins total. I encourage people to just deal with the wait - it is almost always faster than they estimate! It was my first time sitting on the 2nd floor which I preferred over sitting downstairs because it's a bit more quiet and chill. 1st floor is packed and busy. Regardless that's all part of how casual this dining experience is.

BCD is about as reliable as they get. Their soon dubu tastes a little more like jjambbong than the traditional style, but it's still delicious. And honestly, where else in NYC can you get a complete, satisfying Korean meal like this at this price point? That said, their spicy pork BBQ was not good at all. I would recommend sticking with their soups. Service is quick and efficient.

The LA Galbi was decent. Hit the spot but was nothing special. Quick service once I was seated. Almost hit my head every 5 seconds upstairs lol. Would come back if there's no line, but otherwise will try elsewhere next time I'm in KTown.

I had a delivery order from this well known Korean soondubu restaurant. I ordered Bibimbap with Beef, Seafood Soondubu-jjigae and Rice Punch. Everything was delicious. The bibimbap was fresh and tasty. It came with an order of rice, excellent banchan, consisting of kimchi, beans, pickled cucumbers and broccoli, and, a very nice fried yellow croaker fish. The seafood soondubu had clams, mussels and shrimp in a spicy soft tofu broth...wonderful. The rice punch in a can was new to me and I enjoyed it over ice. Well packaged and fast delivery. A well known restaurant with many reviews...I can see why it is favorably rated...highly recommended...will order again.

This is my first time going to BCD Tofu since the Bayside location closed so was excited to try it again! The service is extremely efficient, when I joined the waitlist, I was 16th, and I was able to be seated in less than 20 mins! I loved their fried fish as part of their banchan and was excited to try it again after so many years! I find the Korean pancake to be extremely hot and crispy when it arrived, and I loved that as well! For my entree, I got the beef soondubu and spicy pork combo. I had my soondubu mild, and did wish I had ordered it a bit spicier.

Galbi here never disappoints plenty of small plate starters and everything Ive had here so far is yummy. Service can be a bit inattentive though, so you have to be ready to wave down staff for refills or to get the check.

One of my favorite spots to eye while hunting for lunch in K-Town. I've walked past this place countless times during lunch breaks and in the evenings and there's always a line, which finally convinced me to try it. Almost every dish features tofu, and the menu has a great variety: dumpling tofu soup, seafood tofu, beef or pork options, plus a few non-soup dishes. I ordered takeout for lunch and immediately wondered why the bag was so big. Once I got back to the office, I understood why the portions are huge. Everything was packed neatly and thoughtfully, which I really appreciated. Now for the best part: the food. The seafood tofu soup was rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. It came loaded with soft tofu, mussels, clams, and even a large shrimp. I love shrimp... just not when it's staring back at me so I skipped that part. Portion-wise, this could easily feed two people or be saved for another meal. The banchan were also a win broccoli, kimchi, cucumbers, and a small fried fish. When you order, they ask your spice level (extra spicy, mild, or non-spicy), which is always appreciated. Will I be back? Absolutely. Next time, I want to dine in and experience the service firsthand. Especially given the fact that the ambiance felt relaxed and enjoyable. The hosts greets you at the door. Really nice looking spot.

This place ALWAYS has a line out the door, and I finally found the time to come after a late night out in the area. I can confirm that it is 100% worth the hype. The selection of banchan here is INSANE and all very delicious. I went with the assorted soon tofu. Because of the time and circumstances, I didn't make too big of a dent and ended up taking a bunch of it home as leftovers and oh my god were those THE BEST leftovers I've ever had. Like any soup, the more time it sits, the better it tastes, and this was absolutely heavenly. BCD - I will be back!

This place is run efficiently. You are seated right away and multiple staff come by to either take your order or refill your water. It felt like being in middle of Seoul. We each got the lunch special and only negative was that the soon doo boo was not hot enough (the egg yolk never got cooked). Also, the single stall bathroom was in the sub-basement and for you to get there, (we were eating on the second floor), it was a lot of stairs. But the flavors of the dishes and the side banchans were on point

My favorite go to spot ! Opens late and satisfy the craving ! Walk in only! The medium sized seafood tofu soup + kalbi mix is so good! Wee days combo deals too

BCD Tofu House is always my first stop whenever I'm in NYC and the place I take every guest who visits me. Located right in the heart of Koreatown, it's fast, affordable, and consistently delicious. Yes, there's usually a wait (it's K-Town, after all), but I tend to go later at night and it's always worked out perfectly. The dining room is surprisingly spacious, and the staff moves with lightning speed. You're seated, you order, and your food arrives before you even start to wonder where it is. The soondubu (tofu soup) hits the spot every single time rich, comforting, and customizable to your spice level. And the free banchan (side dishes) just make the whole experience even better. It's one of those meals that feels like a hug, especially on a cold NYC night. If you're looking for a reliable, flavorful, and satisfying Korean meal in Midtown, BCD Tofu House never misses. Highly recommend!

Feeling down and had a migraine today. Went for the vegetable stone tofu. It was refreshing and warm and the sides were amazing and filling. Mashed potatoes were great! But; Took a bit long to get a fork from the staff They filed water timely! Only one napkin And there's a raw egg that comes with it but they didn't tell me what to do with it. They took it away. I tried asking for a cooked egg but I guess they didn't hear me. I wanted the egg.

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.
