    Food was done VERY well- especially the chicken and fried squid sticks. It took forever for the drinks to come out and seats are cramped together but servers were nice and visibly trying to push the food and beverage services along.

    I found myself at Osamil for a post-holiday dinner with some of my colleagues. While I am not too familiar with Korean food, I actually have been to this space before - albeit upstairs at their cocktail bar/lounge. I was looking forward to seeing how their food fared - so off we went. Osamil is kind of a Korean fusion spot - the vibes are super casual with an almost industrial feel with medium wood tables and stools for seating. The space isn't too large, but there's enough room for a sizable bar. Tables are somewhat close to each other so it gives the feeling of being crowded if the restaurant is full, but it wasn't uncomfortable. However, I will say that I didn't think our table was large enough for our party. We were 6 people at a small round table that made it tight and a challenge to hold all our dishes; when we asked, we were told it's standard to sit parties our size at these tables. We decided to share a bunch of dishes: foie gras, lamb, kimchi fried rice, truffle fries, salad, and budae-jjigae. The fishes ranged from being just okay to good - the strongest ones for me were the budae-jjigae, salad, and foie gras. These were all great - creative dishes with lots of flavor. The fries were just fries and the rice and lamb were a little underwhelming; they lacked flavor. Service was a mixed bag - I noticed it was taking a while for a server to come to our table after seating and other tables who sat after us were being taken care of. A member of our party needed to flag someone down, but after that service went smoothly. Overall, my experience at Osamil was fine - but with the service and food being a mixed bag, I would opt for other spots before returning.

    Lovely! Small tables but the staff expertly placed and removed dishes for a party of 6 during happy hour, and we ordered A LOT. The hostess let us know there's a seating limit of an hour and 45 mins. No problem. Service was amazing, they were attentive and fast and our server even recommended checking out the speakeasy bar upstairs. My happy hour gin martini was very good but one of my colleagues didn't care for his xtra dirty vodka martini. He switched to an old fashioned which was also good, standard and what you'd expect. Thumbs up. My favorite dish was the soy cured shrimp, wow so flavorful! But the bulgogi entree fell short--it was like a sweet minced burger patty. The short rib, zucchini & potato jeon, wings, kimchi fried rice with steak, Kumamoto oysters--all 10/10. I would also recommend the shiitake mushroom skewer, it was surprisingly delicious and better than the chicken skewer which was a bit bland. Scallop skewers and steak skewers were also fantastic. Skip the matcha tiramisu dessert cocktail, it's thiccccck--next time I might try the raspberry tart cocktail for dessert. We stumbled out of there absolutely stuffed and buzzed, just what we wanted!     Seafood lovers, this spot is for you -- but don't believe all the hype on the signatures! Osamil has such a cool, inviting vibe -- warm lighting, stylish interior, and a buzz that makes it feel perfect for a casual dinner or a night out with friends. Service was friendly and quick, and the whole space has that trendy NYC energy without feeling pretentious. I loved their seafood dishes. The Seafood Rose Tteokbokki was rich, creamy, and comforting in the best way. And the Clam "Feast" Tang was the standout for me -- super flavorful, briny, and generous with the seafood. Easily the highlight of the night. That said, I did find a couple of their "signature" items a bit overrated. They weren't bad by any means -- just didn't live up to the hype or price point for me. The flavors felt a little simpler than I expected based on reviews. Still, overall, Osamil is definitely worth visiting if you love Korean-inspired small plates and great seafood dishes in a gorgeous space. I'd come back for the seafood alone -- and for the vibe.

    Before dinner, we had time to kill. Osamil (located in koreatown) caught our eye as it was only a 5 minute walk to our dinner reservations. Great! Although we didn't order any food, I can say their drinks were one of the best that we've had in NYC. Aside from Oscar Wilde, their Espresso Martinis were top tier. (& I've had plenty of Expressos that weekend) The bar exuded this elegant feel to it; warm, dark, and cozy, perfect for a causal or intimate date!

    This restaurant has been on my list for a while. Luckily, we made a reservation as it was quite busy. Our group of four ordered a few dishes starting with the chicken wings with soy and garlic, the pork shank, beef short ribs, kimchi fried rice with steak, and the clam feast tang. All the portions were nice and big. The pork shank was tender and so were the beef short ribs. The clam feast tang had a surprising kick to it, which was nice. We ended the night with two of their dessert cocktails, the Matcha tiramisu and the Raspberry tart. The only reason why I would give this place a four stars is because of how insanely pricey the dessert cocktails were for being so small.

    Now one of my favorite restaurants in midtown. Everything Ive tried here is delicious. I love the causal professional but trendy high energy vibe and the delicious Korean food! Must make reservation a great place for afterwork dinner & drinks.

    We all felt the hipster fusion vibe as soon as we walked in and we knew this place was going to be a "WOW". The dim lighting and low table seating resembles a Korean pub setting. The wall racks for coats were super convenient. We ordered a variety of flavors. The Kumamoto oysters, short ribs, tartare, baby octopus, and rice cakes. The oysters were packed with a punch of freshness from the sea and full of flavor despite their small size. The short rib was braised to perfection with the meat breaking off so easily. The tartare was pleasing blend of savory and sweet from the Korean pear. The baby octopus with crispy onions was a spicy sweet contrast to the rest of the dishes we ordered. The rice cakes were different from your typical Korean restaurant as they use rosé making it taste like an Italian pasta. All these flavors were delightful! Jun and Elle were our servers and took great care of our party. They were super friendly and gave us ample attention throughout the evening. I'm glad we made a reservation because this place was packed by the middle of our dinner. Our experience was superb and look forward to coming back!

    During a trip to NYC, a friend and I had dinner at Osamil. We ordered the squid fries and the potato and zucchini jeon as appetizers. For the entrees, which we shared family-style, we ordered the braised short rib and the nearly famous lamb galbi. I thought the squid fries tasted alright. I did like how they had unique Asian-inspired sauces (soy wasabi mayo dip and vinegar gochujang dip) and I liked that they were squid fries, rather than regular potato fries. Honestly, I preferred the potato and zucchini jeon over the squid fries, since the potato, zucchini, onion, and carrots were thinly sliced and the savory pancake was crispy. The ingredients are unique too since most of the time, I've only seen a seafood pancake or kimchi pancake at Korean restaurants. It was a pleasant surprise. For the entrees, the beef was fall off the bone and each side used in the plating of the short rib had a unique taste. The lamb though was the real star of the show. It was so rich and meaty, yet also slightly fatty, that it reminded me of wagyu beef. Honestly, I would come back here and reorder the lamb and the potato and zucchini jeon alone. The place is pretty busy but the servers are attentive. The ambiance is low-light and a bit casual but the food is what really makes it upscale.

    Food: 11/10!!! Everything was really delicious! I think my favorites were the braised short rib and the seafood rosé tokbokki! From presentation to flavor everything hit the spot. Service: 10/10 Our waitress was very attentive and came to the table at least 3-4 times throughout the night. Ambience: 9/10 the place is very busy and a bit loud, but not to the point where you can't hear each other speaking. We were seated promptly and served in a similar fashion. If you get the chance to visit Osamil Upstairs, you should. The entire space is very spacious and honestly feels like your walking into a romantic movie scene! Get the O-E drink, it's award winning and a refeshing way to end a night.

    I went for happy hour right when it opened at 5 and it was pretty empty. We also had a reservation, which i'd recommend since it got packed when we left around 7. They had some happy hour cocktails for $14 and oysters! The oysters weren't necessarily big but they were okay and pretty tasty. You get what you pay for I got the paloma but i'm not a fan, I liked my friend's Penicillin more. It had a strong ginger kick The pork shank was humongous and a great shareable amongst three people. They gave us lettuce and toppings to go with it so we can turn it into a wrap. One cup of lettuce won't be enough but don't be afraid to ask for more!

    Oh - Em Gee! My friend lived here for a while and recommended this spot. They spoke well about their fried chicken so I had to give this spot a try AMBIANCE: Parking: I mainly saw street parking but when in doubt take the subway. Seating: Inside seating and upstairs seating. It seems like an eventful place with room for about 100 people. Vibes: Welcome to Koreatown! It's an eventful place that's close to some Empire State Building and Herald Square. Plenty of good eats and late night things to check out. The space itself is a cozy and lively place. Pretty dimmed with good energy but not too sports like chaotic. I enjoyed the music and the hybrid aesthetics of old (brick and dark wood) and new (creative designs) Great for a food adventure - whether you're here with friends or down for a solo adventure. FOOD: Osamil's Korean Market Fried Chicken (Recommend) Make sure to share this! A whole chicken presented to you as a whole delight (for aesthetics) then chopped to pieces to enjoy.I enjoyed the double fried crisp, juicy meat, and seasoned flavors of soy-garlic and additional seasoning to provide that mix of mild sweetness and umami-ness. Seafood Rosé Tteokbokki (Recommend) A pleasant mix of chewy gareateeok (rice cakes), seafood, and I'd like to say there version of alfredo with a kick (creamy gochujang sauce, cheese, cream, and more savory). This can be fulfilling in itself, the sauce is delicious you can use the leftovers for more delights - add rice, fries, or even noodles and you got yourself another meal! Osamil (Recommend) A nice refreshing drink to kickback and relax to. Enjoyable flavors of citrus and ginger. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! Friendly people and quick service. Their energy contributed to a positive energy here. TL; DR OVERALL: 5 Stars. Excellent! Good food, reasonable prices, and a pleasant vibe. I've heard the word soul-soothing but more like Seoul-soothing comfort food. I'm glad we went here for this glorious experience!     I was staying in Koreatown and Osamil caught my eye - between the menu and the vibe, it felt like a spot I couldn't skip. It's an upscale Korean eatery with a cute bar and a really nice aesthetic. We got the cured shrimp, which you cannot miss out on! It's packed with flavor and perfect if you're into seafood. We also had the Johnson Tang, which was super comforting and tasty - and huge! Definitely big enough to share between two people. After dinner, check out the upstairs bar. The whole place has a very cool, laid-back vibe. Great spot all around.

Each ball was flavorful, the serving was EIGHT!, and the accompanying sauce was succulent and was enough to fill every piece of bread. For dessert, I had the EZ Flan. This Flan was LARGE enough to share, thick, and the sweet syrup at the bottom of the plate was delicious. The final item was a Cafe con Leche (Coffee with milk). EZ Paella skyrocketed to my #1 choice for tapas and cannot wait to return with friends, so they can echo my adoration of this eatery.
