Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. My favorite go to when I'm in NYC. It was difficult to find at first, it's on the third floor in a small opening but quite a gem. It is super lively at night with many small to large groups out for some light drinking and food. Their portions are great for the price and they were running a deal when I went : buy two entrees, get a third free. It was so good that I had to stop by for lunch as well. They have cup/bowl versions that are great for a quick pick me up. They accept card but bring cash as you can get a little bit of a discount on the bill. Came here to have Thursday dinner with my daughter's bestie and boyfriend, and celebrating a few October bdays. The restaurant is up some skinny stairs to the 2nd floor. It was somewhat crowded for a Korean restaurant. No parking but easier to get by train. We reserved a tale for 8 in the back but being in the back, service was always missed by the staff. We had a selected amount of dishes but none that was outstanding to me. I did like their wings, their pork belly bbq and pork Kalbi but everything else was ok. We did the buy 2, get 1 free deal. We did buy how many bottles of soju grape. Also the lychee cocktail was good. I thought the prices were a little steep for the portion we received but this place is not really for the food but drinking, I think as most tables had more drinks the food so we did the same. Going to Anytime kitchen almost feels like a ritual when we're looking for a place to sit, drink, and eat good snacks on a late night out. The service is great as usual. For this visit, we opted for the Street Set which came with tteokbokki, fishcakes, veggie dumplings, and some form of veggie tempura. The fish cake was extremely filling. The dumpling and tempura were filled with glass noodles. The tteokbokki was good but spicy. We paired this with cocktails. Our table got the lychee, blue aloe, and white peach flavor. There is a current deal going on where you can buy three soju/beer/cocktail, and get one free (make sure you check out their website for any deals as there is one for Halloween right now). Anytime Kitchen is a cute little spot in the heart of Ktown! I visited on a weekend and it wasn't hard to get a table. The atmosphere is nice, fun, and truly a vibe. Service was standard. The food was actually pretty good. We tried the two entrees for a free appetizer deal, though I wouldn't really call it a deal since the portions are small and the entrees are on the pricier side. The hot entrees come out over a little heated fire, which was pretty cool and keeps the food hot. The eel was delicious and flavorful. I also ordered the sweet and spicy chicken, which was tender and tasty but not spicy at all. My favorite part of the visit was their cocktails, which come served in cute little bags. Ample parking in the rear municipal lot makes thing a bit easier. Atmosphere is minimalistic and modern. Appreciate the 'not overwhelmingly loud' vibe where eating and small conversation can become the main game. Tried several of the dishes here. For food, the eel was surprisingly good, and the popcorn chicken added as a nice appetizer. I'm not sure why it was beef shank, but it tasted like absolutely nothing and was paper thin for $31. Tteokbokki was hard and kind of cold. The baby octopus was good, but we suspect that this is what gave half our group food poisoning. My favorite thing was the popcorn chicken appetizer, but it was just standard fried chicken. First meal in the city after a long day on the train. Was really looking forward to the place from all the good reviews. It's a cute vibe and decor, loved the playlist that was playing, and had a really nice server. However, food was average and had a weird encounter with one of the guys that work there who really didn't want us to use the elevator. It's on an upper floor and not very accessible. There was an elevator but one of the guys there told us it wasn't working so we took my 45lbs luggage up 3 flights of stairs. We later found out it is usually used for delivery, but our server saw our luggage and said it's okay to use it. The same guy who told us it was broken then came to us while we were waiting to say it would take 10-15 min because it's slow. The elevator came as he said that... so yea, elevator, bad idea. I've passed by the entrance to Anytime Kitchen quite a few times on the way to the karaoke spot upstairs, and have always commented to friends how it smells good and that I wanted to try sometime... well last night was the golden opportunity for my partner and I! Stepping in fairly early on a Saturday and it was packed, so we knew we would be in for a treat. I've been to Anytime Kitchen a few times, and most recently, it was disappointing. I had fantastic experiences there in the past so I was sad to see it go downhill. Tonight, I ordered the truffle and bulgolgi jjajang ramyun but there was literally no beef on it. Just onion and the black bean sauce. I don't think the ramyun was cooked properly either since it was so soggy. They also definitely raised the prices a lot: the dish I ordered was appetizer sized and cost almost $20. Entrees are all over $30. The service was also soooo slow and it wasn't even crowded. I had to keep trying to flag down the server for water, and it took so unbearably long to get the check. And I was ready to pay immediately (literally had my card in my hand) but the server walked away and I had to try to flag him again which was really frustrating. The ambiance there was still nice so I guess I will give 2 stars for that. They had a funny image on the wall about the stages of drinking soju I forgot to take a photo of. read more

This restaurant is on the third floor of an inconspicuous stairway in the middle of Ktown so it is pretty easy to miss. We made a reservation on a Thursday night to be safe but it wasn't necessary. The place wasn't completely packed but there was a good amount of turnover and new customers coming in. The hostess was also able to move our party of 2 to a table of 4 because the table wasn't big enough to hold all the food we ordered. The BBQ pork belly came out first on a portable heater and was a great start to the meal. The creamy ramyun was our favorite dish of the night. The spicy chicken tteokbokki was a little bit too spicy for me but it was delicious none the less. The pork kalbi was okay, but definitely not a must try. All in all this was a great place to grab some dinner and chat over some food and drinks. The atmosphere was suitable for conversation without being too loud or rowdy.
