Each dish that came to the table we all proclaimed our "favorite". It just got better and better and by the time we left we agreed this was one of (or THE?!) favorite meal of the week. Service was friendly and quick. The restaurant has a variety of seating options and is a fun little place.
Reviewing Korean places in NYC is tough. Koreatown in nyc is 1 block vs 150+ blocks in la so I always feel underwhelmed in nyc. Anytime was just ok. The food was fair. The corn cheese was good but my honey soy fried chicken was just average. I thought it wasn't super crunchy and the flavor just didn't wow me. My friend says her cold noodle was ok. She asked for them to substitute tofu instead of meat and they refused- huh? The portion sizes were tiny compared to what I get in La making me think this place is a little expensive. $11 for a bottle of Sapporo sealed this conclusion. Service was kinda slow and both my friend and I had difficulty communicating with staff.
Anytime kitchen is located on the 3rd floor of Korean town. Anytime kitchen is fairly quite around 6 pm and the waiter has to check if we have reservations but towards 7 the restaurant becomes fairly packed. But during the stay since they were not busy they were able to get us 2 tables as we order too much food for a small table of 1. Currently there is a menu of buy 2 entree and get one free and which we got the army soup and the beef slices. The army soup was okay but the beef slice was good.
This place was amazing! I went there and got the buy 2, get 1 free deal and this was the perfect amount of food for 2 people! I recommended reserving ahead of time because it's usually packed, but luckily we went during off peak hours and got a table. The chicken with teokkboki is a MUST, the chicken is so tender and the rice cakes are cooked perfectly! (wish there were more rice cakes). The corn cheese is just a basic dish you can't go wrong with and the pork belly was heaven! Perfect amount of sauce and the ratio of pork to the other veggies was great.
We ordered a few appetizers dumplings, meatballs sashimi all excellent. The spicy pork dish e noodles was amazing. Chef Our server was awesome he made great suggestions, thanks Eric you rock! The music was fun upbeat and restaurant is beautifully decorated!
My favorite go to when I'm in NYC. It was difficult to find at first, it's on the third floor in a small opening but quite a gem. It is super lively at night with many small to large groups out for some light drinking and food. Their portions are great for the price and they were running a deal when I went : buy two entrees, get a third free. It was so good that I had to stop by for lunch as well. They have cup/bowl versions that are great for a quick pick me up. They accept card but bring cash as you can get a little bit of a discount on the bill. I would say, lunch time is not as lively but regardless, the food is delicious and the service provided is amazing.
Came here to have Thursday dinner with my daughter's bestie and boyfriend, and celebrating a few October bdays. The restaurant is up some skinny stairs to the 2nd floor. It was somewhat crowded for a Korean restaurant. No parking but easier to get by train. We reserved a tale for 8 in the back but being in the back, service was always missed by the staff. We had a selected amount of dishes but none that was outstanding to me. I did like their wings, their pork belly bbq and pork Kalbi but everything else was ok. We did the buy 2, get 1 free deal. We did buy how many bottles of soju grape. Also the lychee cocktail was good. I thought the prices were a little steep for the portion we received but this place is not really for the food but drinking, I think as most tables had more drinks the food so we did the same. Hehehe. We had a good time none the less. Can't seem to think we would come back though because the service was lacking at times. [100R,2025]
I only came here for drinks one night but had a good time! The vibes in here are great with lots of neon lights, a cool Korean fishcake stall-inspired seating area, and lots of tables for big groups. Service is so sweet. They have so many drinks and food deals here, it's perfect for a big group or night out!
We came there for a quick dinner before a concert at MSG, and we Loved it!!! Their menu offered great varieties, and we got 7 items for 6 of us. Everything was Flavorful and Delicious! Glad the portion wasn't too big so we were able to finish them all. If we had more time, we would have ordered more! Here are what we got... - soup bulgogi: rice cakes were so cute and bulgogi was tender - grilled squid: can't miss this - shrimp/scallion pancake: not enough LOL - pork belly bbq: not greasy, just perfect - chicken teriyaki: so tender and flavorful with chives - grilled mayo mackerel: delish - japchae: how can we not have this! Not enough though LOL The waitress was friendly and helpful w/ suggestions, and she cooked the soup for us too. The place is cute, on the 3rd floor, and they even have karaoke upstairs! Too bad we had a concert to catch It's only 7 min walk from Penn Station and MSG. So glad our friend suggested this place based on raving reviews. We will definitely come back here if we're in Korean town again!
Going to Anytime kitchen almost feels like a ritual when we're looking for a place to sit, drink, and eat good snacks on a late night out. The service is great as usual. For this visit, we opted for the Street Set which came with tteokbokki, fishcakes, veggie dumplings, and some form of veggie tempura. The fish cake was extremely filling. The dumpling and tempura were filled with glass noodles. The tteokbokki was good but spicy. We paired this with cocktails. Our table got the lychee, blue aloe, and white peach flavor. There is a current deal going on where you can buy three soju/beer/cocktail, and get one free (make sure you check out their website for any deals as there is one for Halloween right now). The blue aloe tasted the best. The lychee was too sweet but was manageable after the ice watered it down. Definitely skip the peach.
Maybe it was because we went on a Sunday around noon, but the vibe was totally dead and the service was mediocre. The corn cheese was drenched in butter--and not in a good way. The jajangmyeon was disappointing, and at $20, the portion size felt way too small. I couldn't even finish my meal, so it honestly felt like throwing $40 straight down the drain. I'd still give it another shot, though--maybe for dinner next time to try a different dish on the menu.
Overall: B // 4 stars Great Korean food that offers comfort style foods and many drinks at a competitive price. Their menu is expansive with lots of different categories of dishes, and its impressive that they can execute all of them seemingly well. (Fried Octopus: A) - Well conceived dish with tenderly crisp baby octopus tossed in an addictive wasabi herb dressing. Great item on their "B2G1 deal". (Anytime Su Yook: A) - Comforting and healthful dish that simmers tender beef, enoki, and garlic chives in a bone broth with a wasabi soy dip. (Brisket Ttbeokki: A) - A hotpot dish with lots to offer from rice cake to ramen to fish cake to beef to vegetables. Love that the broth has spice that complements and does not overpower the food. We grabbed the sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken wings, and they were fried to absolute perfection--they had such a good, satisfying crunch! The sweet potato fries were also incredible, easily some of the best I've ever had. read more

The best Korean bar food I've had in the states and I'm from LA where there is a large Korean community. Everything was done just right. Millennial Korean music sets the nostalgic mood and staff are great as well. Would strongly recommend. read more
Anytime Kitchen is a cute little spot in the heart of Ktown! I visited on a weekend and it wasn't hard to get a table. The atmosphere is nice, fun, and truly a vibe. Service was standard. The food was actually pretty good. We tried the two entrees for a free appetizer deal, though I wouldn't really call it a deal since the portions are small and the entrees are on the pricier side. The hot entrees come out over a little heated fire, which was pretty cool and keeps the food hot. The eel was delicious and flavorful. I also ordered the sweet and spicy chicken, which was tender and tasty but not spicy at all. My favorite part of the visit was their cocktails, which come served in cute little bags. I tried the lychee and thought it was worth the $19. It's definitely a fun option to check out when in Ktown. read more

Food was awesome, staff is really accommodating. Chill atmosphere that makes you feel you are in Asia the moment you start climbing the stairs. We watched a World Cup match up there. Great to not feel rushed out the door. Simple drink selection. read more
Convenient spot for food and drinks when out in ktown. The buy 2 get an appetizer free mostly serves to normalize the prices of the dishes, making it similar to restaurants around. For food, the eel was surprisingly good, and the popcorn chicken added as a nice appetizer. Their portions seemed slightly smaller than before, and their alcohol portions are also on the smaller side. The restaurant was quite packed when we got there, but considering that, the food came out in a reasonable time. Overall, would recommend this place as an option if wanting to get drinks along with dinner with friends in a semi-loud environment. read more

To preface this review, my friends got food poisoning here lol. I didn't though, but I didn't eat as much. The dishes were pretty mid. All the portions are so so tiny, which explains why there's that buy 2 get 1 appetizer free deal. The anytime suyuk blows. I'm not sure why it was beef shank, but it tasted like absolutely nothing and was paper thin for $31. Tteokbokki was hard and kind of cold. The baby octopus was good, but we suspect that this is what gave half our group food poisoning. My favorite thing was the popcorn chicken appetizer, but it was just standard fried chicken. The best thing here is their lychee makgeolli slush. So good so sososo good. But that's it! Not my favorite pocha in Ktown by any means and won't be coming back. read more

Great late night dining spot located on the 3rd floor of an unsuspecting building in Koreatown. This place has really good vibes and a nice selection of Korean dishes. Made a reservation for 6 here for a Sunday evening and was easily seated at a large table. We decided to take advantage of there buy 2 get 1 free deal and got Brisket Doenjang Jeongol, Budae Jeongol, Spicy Chicken and Cheese Tteokbokki, Popcorn Chicken, Spicy Squid and Pork Belly, and Vegetable Japchae. We also got cocktails which came in cute drink pouches. Everything came out pretty quickly and I liked how the stews were kept warm on a mini stove. All the food was pretty flavorful tho there could have been a bit more meat in the doenjang and the spicy squid and pork. My favorite was the popcorn chicken which had a nice crunch and spicy sweet glaze. Overall a good place to grab drinks and a get some classic drinking Korean foods. read more

Lucked out with this fun spot. We were looking for a place in Koreatown that wasn't crowded or a long wait, we walked in and were able to sit at the bar like area. We had popcorn shrimp, mackerel, lychee cocktail and beer. Place was hopping and has a karaoke area downstairs. The food was so very good. Yum, yum. read more
This place surprised me. The food is really good. The slushy banana and lychee drinks worth it. The pouches worth it. We got the whote peach, lychee, and blue aloe. So fun. Would definitely be back. First meal in the city after a long day on the train. Was really looking forward to the place from all the good reviews. It's a cute vibe and decor, loved the playlist that was playing, and had a really nice server. However, food was average and had a weird encounter with one of the guys that work there who really didn't want us to use the elevator. It's on an upper floor and not very accessible. There was an elevator but one of the guys there told us it wasn't working so we took my 45lbs luggage up 3 flights of stairs. We later found out it is usually used for delivery, but our server saw our luggage and said it's okay to use it. The same guy who told us it was broken then came to us while we were waiting to say it would take 10-15 min because it's slow. The elevator came as he said that... so yea, elevator, bad idea. Anyhow, they have a buy two dish and get 1 free deal so we got the seafood soup, chicken cheese rice cakes and grilled mackerels. Nothing spectacular and the 3 stars is for the nice waitress we had. Not accessible, mediocre flavor and don't try to use the elevator. read more

We got the Korean fried chicken wings ,sweet and spicy. The wings were fried perfectly. It had a really good crunch to them. The service was OK. It could have been better but again it was late night so not too much to be expected. The sweet potato fries were some of the best that I've had so if I'm back in the city, I will definitely keep them in mind for a great late night dinner read more

How do I find it?
Great question! It's super hidden for some reason. There's another restaurant on the ground level with lots of glass windows. Walk towards that and you'll see stairs. Go up those till you see the restaurant. I couldn't find it at first either!
