Rotisserie Half Chicken
Adam S.

Short version: Service: outstanding (thanks Sophie!) Cocktails: perfect. Food: exquisite, and I mean every bite. Longer version: Packed on a Wednesday night, and with good reason. For 4, the earliest reservation we could get booking one night prior? 8pm. Hostess was kind and professional, as were the bartenders and waitstaff. Although we arrived a bit before our reservation time and were seated about 20 after, our decadent experience melted away any minor inconvenience the delay may have caused. Cocktails: As tequila is our preference, we loved the Daisy cocktail - the primary focus was beet forward but made well with mijenta tequila. Small plates: Ooh, out of monkey bread (wah wah), so we got the carrot hummus, bluefin tuna, and focaccia. All three were absolutely delicious that it was hard to choose a favorite. We were also treated with an order of crispy potatoes, which were decadent in every bite. Mains: I got the Black Sea Bass, my husband got the scallops with cashew chili, and our friends got the maple pork chop and the half chicken. It goes without saying that we finished every bite, though my personal favorite was the scallops, hands-down. Sides: Omg the cornbread. It's basically dessert! ...oh so good. The cauliflower was also fantastic, too, but...on the healthier side. And although we were already stuffed,... Yep, we tried dessert. Coconut Sorbet / mini brownie and the toasted marshmallow/chocolate souflee - both were truly flavorful. Even the hot tea was fresh mint tea leaves in a French tea press of sorts - truly an incredible experience from start to finish. With dim lighting and an overall relaxed space it's easy to forget that you're Hudson Yards adjacent and that 10th avenue is just steps away. We've already made plans to come back!

Brown butter apple cake

We were disappointed that this was a pretty average experience. We found the food to be incredibly overpriced for what it was- it's honestly crazy that the homemade Cheez-its were $13 for literally five cheese crackers. The garlic monkey bread was good, but not outstanding. The butternut squash focaccia was a bit off-putting- it came out and the ricotta on top was ice cold. I don't think I've ever had cold focaccia before, and it wasn't a pleasant texture or temperature for the dish. The crispy potatoes at least were excellent- hard to mess those up! For dessert, we tried the brown butter apple cake which had an almost sour/savory note in it that we weren't expecting. The bright spot in our experience was the service- our server was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our cocktails, but weren't impressed with the selections on the wine list, all of which also seemed really pricey per glass. Given all of the incredible restaurant options in NYC, I can't say I would recommend coming here.

Crispy North Carolina shrimp

Really tasty quick lunch at this spot near my hotel that had friendly service, a beautiful space, and a simple menu with some good options for a great value. The crispy shrimp came out nice and hot, fresh off the fryer, and the Caesar was a warm salad with fried oysters. Great flavors!

In as unassuming part of town, Greywind is a great spot for a casual but upscale dinner, with friends, coworkers or for a date. The service here is very friendly and kind, and this was consistent from all the people we interacted with. The food was solid overall. In the appetizers, both the carrot hummus and cauliflower dip were favorites. The monkey bread was the best dish of the night. The cheese-its werebnit crispy enough but had the right flavor. For entrees, the steak was very nice.

I was pleasantly surprised by the chicken liver. I've never enjoyed liver of any kind, but it was recommended by a friendly customer to my right. He was right, it was delicious. The huge cheeze-itz did not disappoint. Flavorful and fun to eat. My daughter and I both had the Ore King Salmon and it was the best tasting salmon we've had in a very long time. The mix of flavors of the pickled corn, gooseberries, and mini greens added to the experience. Do not miss out on the Dark Chocolate Tart. This is coming from someone who isn't a big fan of chocolate. I know that sounds a bit crazy to you. Who doesn't like chocolate. This dessert made me a believer. Excellent choice in the Prosecco. The art was also perfectly curated and my favorite is the mushroom art on the way to the bathroom. Look carefully otherwise you may miss the mushrooms. Our server took the experience to another level. He recommended specific items that he loved and he was right about all of them. The ambience was warm and elegance. I plan on visiting the gorgeous bar connected to the restaurant soon. It felt private yet welcoming when I took a peek. We will definitely be back. 5 stars all the way.

I loved this spot! The garlic monkey bread is one of the best things I've eaten in a while. The sundae bowl was not a must do but very fun. The food overall was really delicious, the drinks were great, and the service was wonderful!

Foie Gras Pate coated w/ fried Quinoa so good
Wendy B.

Crispy Quinoa Foie Grad Pate - so good love the texture coated to it. Focaccia - tasty and beautiful, worth to try. Crispy Potato - interesting creation, tasty, yet unhealthy and greasy, if they can drain the fried oil it would be better. Shrimp - basic Homemade Spaghetti - one of the best! Homemade pasta always a win. Lamb Kofta - too game-y not loving it. Fries - not crispy. Gonna come back for the Foie Gras w/ Crispy Quinoa! and Spygold downstairs is beautiful!

I can't believe I haven't tried this place sooner! I came on a Saturday night and it was pretty easy to get a reservation. The ambiance is quiet and chic. The food was also amazing. We got the garlic monkey bread and fried potatoes to start. I would recommend both of them! They were so tasty. I got the black bass for my main, which was also delicious. Overall, I'd love to come back soon to try some of the other many interesting options on the menu.

Cauliflower dip with potato chips

Excellent food, particularly the celery schnitzel. It was one of the best veggie dishes I've had outside of a vegan / vegetarian restaurant in a while , and I plan to come back just for this dish. Service was on point, and the other food was solid too (potatoes and a nice kick to them). The cocktails here are excellent and the space is beautiful, with high ceilings and great decor. The seats are nicely spaced out too , allowing for a more private dining experience.

Had extra early reservation at 5 after theater show at MSG. We opened up restaurant only Patron in the restaurant. We were immediately greeted and sat down beautiful space updated and vibe was good. They have a smaller menu with different options. We started with 2 drinks including the caramel popcorn old fashioned , and hot cider with whiskey. Both drinks were very good and hit the spot. We were torn around appetizers since there were so many good looking options. We opted for the crispy potatoes and the garlic monkey bread. The potatoes were very good great sauce with blend of sweet and white potatoes. The monkey bread was not as expected. The bread was definitely dough from croissants with a strong herb forward sauce on top. It was devoid of garlic flavor to me and not at all gooey like a monkey bread is. We also opted for the baby lettuce salad which was delicious the dressing was great and punchy. We enjoyed the salad. The meals we opted for was the classic burger with a au pouive mayo, cheese and house made chips. The chips were interesting very herb forward and almost fully green. This was also served with fries. We also got the mushroom pasta. It was sheet pasta with a super savory mushroom sauce and crispy mushrooms on top. The dish was delicious and different. We also were feeling the carbs of Christmas and ordered the pan cornbread. This was a good edition but comes with 4 prices in a skillet. We had to take some home. Was a good stop and recommend trying. 212.00 all in for 2 dinner and drinks. No room for desserts.

Beautiful spot with spectacular views of the vessel. Sat at the bar for an adult beverage and appetizer. The mall is a bit difficult to navigate but worth it, great food and menu choices and the rose bar is so special. I loved the smashed avocado and chips and also the Mac and cheese.

Delicious monkey bread

Overpriced, bad food: I didn't like anything I ordered except the excellent monkey bread and my mocktail. My vegetarian "schnitzel" entree was neither a schnitzel nor an entree. It was three small hash browns, basically, swimming in a too vinegary mustard sauce and covered by snap peas that were also very vinegary. I ate maybe 4 bites and stopped. The carrot hummus had the consistency of baby food. Weird service: Our waiter took our order and basically disappeared. One of the servers asked if she could take away our dishes that we clearly weren't done with so she could bring out our entrees, which we were not ready for. We looked at her dumbfounded and said no. When we were finished, we were unattended to for 15 minutes before anyone took our plates away. At this high price point, the food should be far better and the service should be way more attentive and attuned. Not going back.

Izzy A.

I liked it here but it was nothing to write home about - I got the fried chicken sandwich and we shared a few appetizers. My favorite bites were the homemade giant cheez-it and cookies at the end, so next time I'd just skip the restaurant and go to their bakery instead.

As I walked in and saw just how swanky this place is I panicked - there was no way we could just walk in here without a reservation, right? But the hostess was, thankfully, so down to earth. I was straight up like hey I totally messed up and thought we could just walk in here, she was like you know what, let me see what we have. Lo and behold, she did have a table for us - as long as we were out in an hour and a half, which was just the right amount of time. Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. They gave out a complimentary nut mix that was also delicious. Service was swift and gracious. If you're looking for a spot to impress a date, this is it.

There's also seating on the second floor, perfect for couples or small groups. I tried two of their cocktails when I went. The first was the Eastern Julep, a delicious twist on a classic. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. A bar seat eventually opened up but I was already on my second drink by then. Definitely make reservations if you're planning a visit!

The bar seating was plentiful and comfortable. There is plenty of space for people to stand behind the bar or a high top tables enjoying happy hour after work. If you go at 4:30 or 5, it's a bit calmer as the after work crowd trickles in. And as the evening went on, it started to get more and more packed, and it became a really lively vibe. After my friend left for another function, I stuck around a little bit longer for a little solo dinner. I had a glass of Prosecco off the happy hour menu followed by a dirty martini, and I did request to look at their full dinner menu because there was a couple items that I wanted to try. I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. The service was excellent from the servers and the bartenders, and they were all very attentive, personable and friendly throughout the evening. I'll definitely be back for happy hour or dinner with friends!

All the dishes came out within short intervals. Handmade drinks came straight from the bar. Overall we spent over two wonderful hours dining and drinking here.

We had a nice table tucked in to a corner where we had a view of the kitchen and could sit next to each other on the bench seat. Our primary server, Luis, was helpful and lovely. Shoutout to Chris who not only tended bar but worked the floor and to the lovely hostess whose name I wish I had gotten. But really the whole staff was just A+++. We shared the crispy artichokes (outstanding) and the cacio e Pepe arancini (where the fried parsley was especially unique and delicious) to start. I had the eggplant parmesan which reminded me of an eggplant dish I had in Venice -- but better. My husband had the ricotta cavatelli which was also great. For dessert I had the olive oil cake accompanied by lemon curd and --wait for it -- rosemary gelato. I was skeptical about this gelato, but it turned out to be a wonderfully fantastic surprise! My husband had the Apple Crostata which was also fantastic. The limoncello was a perfect way to end the meal. I was told by my husband that I can't shave off a star for Chef Tom not being there himself. So, I won't. Fair enough. But I'm still hoping I catch him another time.

I found the hodgepodge of old-timey decor to be a bit kitsch, but to each their own. I came with a group on a weeknight with no reservation. We were seated immediately on a high wood table. Although the bar wasn't busy (there were plenty of empty spaces, small groups scattered throughout the area), the service was quite slow. The server was inattentive and took a while to take our orders. We had to ask her for water three times, searching for her across the room in an attempt to catch her attention. She was a bit absent during the two-ish hours we were there. On the bright side, the drinks were fairly good. I ordered this strawberry vodka cocktail topped with whole mint. I'm wary of vodka for its harsh, unpleasant taste, but I found this drink to actually be very pleasant, tasing like a fruit smoothie you'd get from a local juicer. There was also a burgundy drink served on a wine glass that tasted like the holidays. I liked that one quite a bit. Overall, Oscar Wilde was an okay experience. It's certainly a bar for a certain type of crowd, and the service was lacking, but maybe we went on a bad night. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll be served better than we were.
