    Deviled eggs

Had a great weekday lunch at Cookshop! Service was attentive and fast, and food was delicious. I would definitely recommend the chicken parm sandwich. The deviled eggs were amazing too. Fun drinks both with and without alcohol! It's a good mix between casual and swanky and imagine it gets loud and fun on weekend nights.

Delicious. I went with a group, and service was attentive yet nonintrusive as we caught up with each other. They have a good wine, beer, and cocktail (including mocktails) lists but I was there for the food. Cookshop delivered. The salads, especially the dandelion salad, were delicious. The scallops were delicious and perfectly cooked For others at my table the pork chops and chicken were big hits. Save room for dessert, especially the pistachio semifreddo. It's refreshing, perfect texture, and the rhubarb topping perfectly contacts the sweet and creamy flavors. The well lit interior with lots of windows was perfect for a late spring afternoon, even if it was a little cloudy. Check it out and enjoy!

Great American restaurant offering a variety and fresh and tasty items, typically on the healthier side too. I got the Cookshop Egg Sandwich ($18)- it was very tasty with a generous amount of well-cooked bacon, 2 fried eggs, cheese, onions, and pickles. I will say I do think the bread was a bit too hard and the pickle flavor was strong, but otherwise I enjoyed the sandwich. The interior of the restaurant has a lovely vibe with plenty of natural sunlight and nice modern decor in a spacious setting. The staff are super friendly and attentive. With a few tweaks to the sandwich, I could see Cookshop becoming a 5 star place, but for now, I am giving it a solid 4 stars.

    Warm Carolina Shrimp

It had been years since I'd been to the Cookshop and felt it was worth a revisit. I started with a very unique dish - the Warm Carolina Shrimp - it sounded inviting on a cold day. The shrimp, a generous portion of medium sized, sat atop a bed of citrus and salad. I didn't expect the citrus flavor to blend with the shrimp, but it was excellent. The shrimp were tender, and the pomegranates, mandarin and orange, with a citrus garlic vinaigrette added such a wonderful burst of flavor. I had the Cookshop Burger for my main dish. I asked to have it cooked Medium Well - pink. It comes with fries. The burger, at least the first few bites were delicious, but then, as I got towards the middle of the burger, the meat was medium to medium rare. I cut out the center, and ate the remaining burger. I was disappointed as the meat was very good, but very 'undercooked', for me. The fries were okay - they're very thin, and as a result, very hard, or tough to chew. I like a thicker, 'meatier' fry. I did mention the undercooked issue to my server, and without my asking, he removed the burger from the bill! So nice! I'm sure that burger would have been perfect for many others who liked their meat cooked medium or medium rare. I will be revisiting Cookshop - I know they can get it right the next time!

Definitely make a reservation if you're planning to come for brunch. We arrived around 11:45 for our noon reservation and were seated early, but there were already a few parties waiting near the door. By the time we left around 1:40 on a Saturday, the entrance was packed with people waiting (so much so that it was a bit difficult to make our way out). Service was solid, and we never felt rushed, which made it easy to linger and enjoy a coffee after the meal. I ordered the baked eggs, which were good, but the bread was toasted a bit too much to the point of being not edible. The brunch menu overall is fairly simple. This spot seems to be more about the ambiance than an extensive menu, but it's a pleasant place to spend a relaxed brunch.

Loved coming here. The service was great and kind. The food was delicious. The ambiance is modern yet a bit warm. Best thing to try are the seasonal dishes. Delicious. Their chicken is good too despite being a seafood place primarily. All of the appetizers can be meals on their own. I somehow found parking every time I've been there so that's a major plus.

Came here with my date for breakfast on a sunday because, he works in the area and wanted to try it. We didn't need a reservation and was sat in the dining room; they also have outdoor sitting but it was a little warm. The decor is really nice with tropical plants and nice lighting. Ample space for singles, couples, and groups. The staff is very attentive and polite. And a full bar i belive. I wahted to try the poached egg but ordered the scrambled eggs with toast instead with, bacon on the side, and a watermelon juice. My date had the cornmeal buttermilk pancakes with peaches. The food exceeded our expectations and was really good. The eggs contained zucchini which I found to be a weird mix but blended well together. I tried a piece of pancake and it was heavenly. . I would definitely reccomend the bookshop for breakfast

Been twice now. Solid. Short menu but good options. This time around we went pretty late so tried to eat light. My daughter and I shared an appetizer and an entree and we were good to go. We had the croquettes and the Denver steak. The paprika sauce was robust and, to me, surprisingly good. They had a great cider on tap and a delicious Greek orange pet-nat. Good choice after an evening at the Whitney.

Ate there for brunch-at-the-bar Sunday. Wife and I split the Breakfast Sandwich and side of fries, Bloody's. Excellent deconstructed Sammie. Charred bread, thick bacon, appropriately cheesy. A cut above your typical version.

We had brunch at Cookshop and enjoyed it! I got the Huevos Rancheros which was hot and flavorful and my friend got the Pear appetizer and the potatoes. Our server only came by twice to greet us and take our order but we didn't see her after that. Payment was easy and the vibe inside was clean and modern and comfortable.

Cookshop is the kind of place that doesn't need to show off, and maybe that's why the presentation looked like it got dressed in the dark. But don't let that fool you. Behind the poor plating of the food is a kitchen that knows exactly what it's doing. I wandered in after a sun-soaked stroll down the High Line, not expecting much. West side joints can be hit-or-miss, more style than substance. But Cookshop delivered. Every. Damn. Bite! I kicked things off with an nonalcoholic drink: warm bone broth laced with rosemary. Wow! No regrets, just pure soul in a cup. For apps I went with the grilled Jersey asparagus slathered with a creamy egg salad, and a savory leek crostata that oozed raclette and indulgence beneath a perfectly poached egg. Then the mains: A delegate portion of trout butterflied and kissed with snap peas and salgorigillo. And the Finger Lake lamb, a spring fever dream of mint, bulgur, and English peas, all dancing on the plate. Then I ended my symphony with a slice of cake. A gluten-free bourbon chocolate number with salted caramel, peanuts, and crème fraîche, paired with a scoop of vanilla gelato from Gelato d'Arte. It didn't just hit the spot, it wrote love letters to it. Inside, the place is all sunlight and hustle. Huge windows, open energy, and the kind of casually polished vibe that makes you forget you're still in Manhattan. Cookshop is not trying to impress you, it just does. Five stars, no question.

Whether you're taking a break from the High Line or strolling West Chelsea, this is quite a scene-y stop. Comfort food made fancy. Big fan of the vibe and the cuisine. Deviled Eggs: A picnic potluck classic, served all bougie in Chelsea. With the price of eggs nowadays, this is quite a luxury. The crabmeat on top made it much fancier than whatever you aunt makes. Crab Beignets: Didn't feel as fluffy as a typical beignet, but it was nicely fried. Lots of crabmeat inside. It kinda felt closer to a breadier crabcake. Still worked. Chicken Breast Salad: Love how this salad is more like chicken on top of a bunch of cooked veggies. Definitely more my style. Sticky Toffee Date Cake: Not quite sticky toffee pudding, but very close. Ample amount of sticky sauce, so works for me.

Does the enclosed patio have sides and heaters??any photos?

Yes! They have heaters and they have an enclosed patio (so there are sides!)

Is the outdoor seating open during the beginning of October?

Yes! The weather is beautiful and the outdoor area is full this morning.

Is the lunch menu also offered on weekends for brunch?

When I was there recently, they do offer the lunch menu, but if you’re going for a specific item, it’s best to call first because the menu changes frequently, and is not always updated on the website.

Is Cookshop accommodating for toddlers and strollers?

Yes, I've been many times with my toddler and a stroller. They put the stroller in a room for you and then bring you a high chair to your table if you need. They are extremely accommodating if you have children even to the extent of offering a few… Read more

Is the food here individual servings or more family style?

I've only been for brunch but it was individual servings! :) Egg sandwich is really good!

    Do they take walk-ins?

I'm sure they take walk-ins if there are open tables, however seems to be a place that would have a terrible wait... Prob best to make a reservation.

We thought mini golf was interactive, everyone had the same chance to play and it's simple enough without exerting too much energy (unlike an escape room or the dancing tiles which I also came across in my research). Great place for friends, families, dates of all ages. We checked in on the ground floor (also have a coat check here) and were told they have a cabin themed course on the 2nd floor and a museum themed course on the 3rd floor, but there was a party going on. They also told us about the rooftop lounge, which is covered with plastic and they have heaters blasting the space. We went with the cabin themed. Although I don't think they completely blocked the 3rd floor with the party, we just didn't want to have to compete with others and wanted a quiet experience. They have stairs or an elevator. Once we got to the 2nd floor, we were the only ones there and were explained how the digital scoring works. We inputted our names, and our scoreboard would follow us from board to board in sequence after we all punched in our scores. The max was 6 putts per course to help keep things moving (we definitely played more than 6 on some courses lol). The courses did progressively get more challenging as you moved on. The decor was beautiful. Fairy lights lined the space with murals or a ski lodge/mountains around with a polar bear and a ski mobile. Many cute photo ops. On the last course, once you made it, the game swallowed your ball, I guess to help prevent you from trying to play the course again. I wish there was more than 9 courses though. It was fun enough but maybe having a few more would have helped fill the time more. Time flew by and we had lots of laughs. Would be excited to come back to try the museum course next time.

I booked a social package that included 90 minutes of reserved seating, one round of mini golf, and a $25 food or drink voucher per person. When we arrived, we were given tickets for mini golf, but the staff seemed unsure about how the food and drink vouchers worked. After some back-and-forth, we learned the vouchers could only be used on the second floor, and if used for drinks, there was only one option available -- a blue rum drink with coconut. Unfortunately, the drink missed the mark for me and my friends, and the recipe could definitely use some improvement. We were also never shown where our reserved seating was, which was disappointing. That said, I had an amazing group of friends, and we still made the night a lot of fun. We played the Lodge course on the second floor, which is their most challenging course and beautifully decorated. I also loved the tablet that kept score for us -- it was a great touch. The rooftop area is another highlight: it's heated and really enjoyable during the winter. Overall, while the atmosphere and mini golf were fun, I wouldn't book a party package again -- it wasn't worth the cost. Next time, I'd just pay for mini golf directly.
