Yard House is a staple for us. We're regulars at the Times Square location, and as someone who used to work at the Yard House in Miami Beach, I have a pretty high bar for what a great experience looks like. Yesterday reminded me exactly why we keep coming back. Our server Xavier was, without question, the best service we've had at this location. He was attentive without hovering, genuinely warm, and kept the whole meal moving at a perfect pace. In a busy Times Square restaurant, that kind of presence is rare and it doesn't go unnoticed. Xavier, if you see this: you crushed it. Food-wise, the poke nachos were a hit as always, and my tacos were delicious. Adrian's mac and cheese, however, landed completely flat. No seasoning, no depth, just nothing going on. We swapped it out for another pasta dish hoping for a turnaround, and unfortunately that one missed too. It happens. We weren't upset about it and nobody made a scene. These things are part of dining out. What really stood out was how the team handled it. The general manager came over after hearing we weren't thrilled with the food and was genuinely kind and gracious about the whole thing. That kind of hospitality, especially when it's unprompted, is what separates a good restaurant from a great one. At the end of the day, we're giving this five stars because Yard House Times Square consistently delivers where it counts: the atmosphere, the drinks, and above all, the people. Made a reservation for Saturday 5/2 for 9:30pm and 3 people. We arrived around 9:20pm and they sat us down right away. I wish we had the option for a booth especially since my friend is really short but we got a high top. Server was very attentive and transparent. Our original server was on break so we had another server take our drinks, appetizers and entree orders. She brought the drink and appetizer and our main server brought out entrees. I felt they were both great servers and very friendly. We also got dessert, everything was delicious. Food was also reasonably priced. We also were able to use a coupon code for the appetizer which was great. This location is very nice and clean. My only suggestion is to have someone check the downstairs bathroom a bit more. This was a great visit! The restaurant is perfectly located in Times Square and it only took us a short walk to get there. Upon arrival we had to wait about 10 mins but it was no issue. Thanks Sanaa for taking care of us! She was friendly, attentive and answered any questions we had. There was a table near us who tried to give her a difficult time and she handled it gracefully! Cool place with cool vibes. I stopped in here with my wife and friend to grab some food after visiting lucky strikes. We had a reservation and arrived about 15 mins early and were able to be seated immediately. This location is 2 floors with a lot of tables and TVs which had multiple sports games on. Our server was quick to order our drinks and just as quick to deliver them to the table. I ordered the cheesesteak with truffle parm fries. Cheesesteak was okay. Needed some seasoning but not too bad. The fries were good though as a side to the sandwhich. I also ordered a beer which they have an extensive menu of. Ambience was cool and chill and service was great even though the food was okay. I would definitely recommend this place as a cool hangout to grab some beers, a quick bite and watch some games. read more

A friend and I stopped by for a quick dinner. This was my first time at this location but I ordered my usual which was the Edamame, Parm Truffle Fries and the Shiitake Garlic Noodles. The drinks were good, the food was decent, not bad but I prefer the noodles at Ridge Hill. I recommended the Lobster Garlic Noodles for my friend and she loved it. Why did I go "eh" when my friend suggested we stop here for late-night bites last night? I had been here once before, years ago (on a date, no less) and the experience had been mid and forgettable. But last night I was dazzled, right from the initial friendly convo with the host Alain who seated us. The waitress with the lovely dreadlocks was also super warm and personable. LOVE the artwork on the wall along the stairs. If you like sweet drinks like I do, I HIGHLY recommend the Lavender Drop martini. From the very first sip, my face displayed all the pleasure in the world. It is SO so tasty I almost wanted more (but I was aiming for "nightcap" and not "saucy"). Lemon pepper wings on the menu is always a plus and their truffle fries? Rich and flavorful. Waitress even gave us a side of mayo for dipping. Extra plates because we wanted to share. Thoughtful. Attentive. A bite of my friend's sliders also confirmed they were winning in the burger department. To seal the meal, the second I laid eyes on the "Oreo Brookie" dessert on the menu, I knew I wasn't leaving without it. The moment she placed it on the table, with extra spoons for all of us, my friend couldn't control himself and dove in. Had to battle spoons with him for the bulk of the ice cream chunks. It was DELICIOUS. To top it all off, every table has this little iPad thingy that let's you SEAMLESSLY itemize the bill and individually pay for what you ordered. You just check off your items from the list, click to pay, and it tallies just those things for you automatically, leaving the rest for the next person to pick their stuff and pay. Despite their popularity (and wide availability all over the States), this was my first visit to the Yard House... and it was a good one. The selection of drafts is overwhelming, with brews coming from all over and contenting pretty much any preference imaginable. First, I got their house Amber (the only house beer I really liked), then I had a house flight (6 tastings for a mere $12) and another flight with personalized options that I hand picked. Next time I would not go for their house flight, because although very affordable I didn't enjoy the quality the other house beers. The place is huge: 2 floors, plenty of walking space between tables, flatscreen TVs all over the place, clean restrooms. Except for their bread pudding (decadent), we didn't get any food: we weren't hungry and it looked quite overpriced for the place. I'd definitely return to try other beers. The place was mostly empty in the early afternoon of a MLK Day, so I wonder how crowded it gets (with tourists) in the evening. read more

My friends and I were lucky to find some open chairs by the bar, otherwise we would've had to wait for a table. Bar service was OK. It was a busy Saturday and we got on a list for approximate 45 min wait so we made our way to the bar and took the 2 neglected seats no one wanted, but we got quick service. The blue cheese and bacon burger was amazing and the meat cooked as requested. The drinks were good and our main bartender/server was great. However, he went on a break and the gal that took over had attitude problems and besides rolling her eyes when we asked for more drinks also decided to ignore some requested items we were missing for our meal. I had to flag down a floor server to get them for me. She made the experience wonky and glad she wasn't our server all night. The most okay experience I've had. It's a Yardhouse so I'm not expecting a lot but even then, I was disappointed. The few pros. Ability to seat large groups, food is hot and made to order seemingly, drinks are alright. The cons. Lengthy wait times and mediocre service highlight this section. We had called before hand to reserve a time slot, this was not upheld. Small delays are fine but when the delays were reaching 30+ min, there's issues there with capacity and promises. Beyond this, the service was also very mediocre, the staff were not attentive and not helpful. The food was also very okay. SO RUDE and never coming back to this location. On Christmas, my mom and I were greeted by the host on the first floor. After 20 min, we were told our table was ready and that they let the host on the second floor know that we were coming up. We walked up, and the second floor host was looking down at her *closed* appointment book. After a minute, she still didn't look up, so I let her know we were told by the host downstairs that a table is ready for us. Without a word or a smile, she just grabbed two menus and walked to a table. I guess that meant we should follow her? We were sat but then we saw there was an open 2-top table by the window, overseeing Times Square. We don't come to NYC often, so we asked if there was any way we could move to that table. The host said "No. That table's not clean." so we said "Okay, can we wait? We're in no rush haha" and the host rudely replied "No. We're not cleaning it; I'm not cleaning it. So you either will sit here or you go back downstairs." We were completely shocked by her attitude and response, so we just got up, told her that we will be leaving, and left. As someone who previously worked in food service, I understand it can be stressful to work at a restaurant during the holidays, especially in Times Square, but that's absolutely no excuse for how she acted. read more

Andrea MADE our visit. She was phenomenal. We had a great time on our visit to the big apple. I had t he ahi appetizer in an effort to eat healthier and it was top 10 best I've had inside of the US. My companion had the sliders and it was more than a meal. The beer menu was impressive but it seemed they were out of 50% of the beer we wanted (Guinness, sours, etc) but we enjoyed it thanks to Andrea and her recommendations and service. I enjoyed Yard house. It is located in a very busy area, Times Square. so the best way to get there would probably be public transportation. There is parking, but there will be lots and it will cost you so choose wisely what you would like to do. this restaurant is huge as there is three levels of seating. There are large TVs so it makes well for watching sporting events. we were seated in about 10 to 15 minutes on a Tuesday evening. It did get kind of crowded but because there is so much space it was very easy to navigate. the menu has something for everyone so I appreciated the menu. I had a Caesar salad, the orange chicken, and I shared the nachos appetizers with the others on my table. Everything was special made, and the portion sizes are perfect. My entrée came with white rice and some vegetables and I definitely wasn't able to eat all, so I had a bag to go. Service was good. read more

Went in around 1pm for lunch. Not too busy. I sat at the bar and took a min or two to look over their cast beer selection. I opted for the Give 'Em Helle German larger which is 4.9% alcohol. It was very smooth and refreshing and had an earthy aroma I also got the FML double IPA by Stone brewing to drink which they only served in one size due to the alcohol content. For my meal I decided on the Whiskey and Aged Cheddar burger. The burger has Whiskey glaze , aged white cheddar, crimini mushrooms, and horseradish aioli and comes with house fries. The burger was cooked great nice and juicy and the combination of the ingredients played off of eachother great. The fries were fries nothing great or bad about them. We stopped into the Yard House in Times Square and were pleasantly surprised by how well this location handles the chaos of the area. Even with the crowds outside, the restaurant is spacious, clean, and runs like a well-oiled machine. The menu is huge, and everything our table ordered came out hot and fresh. The flavors were solid--nothing overly fancy, just consistently good food. The beer list is massive (seriously, pages and pages), so it's a great spot if you want options. Service was friendly and fast, which is impressive given how busy Times Square can get. Yes, it's a chain, and yes, it's in one of the busiest tourist zones in NYC, so prices are a bit higher than average, but not unreasonable for the location. If you're looking for a reliable meal before a show like we did, this is a great choice. Not the place for a quiet, intimate dinner--but for a casual night out, Yard House delivers exactly what you expect. Came here on a random Thursday night with a friend. We ordered regular fries (no parm, no truffle), sweet potato fries, and we each got the 10 piece crispy traditional wings (bone in). I got half buffalo, and half Korean chili garlic. As a lover of sweet potato fries, these were pretty disappointing. They were pretty bland and not all that sweet or crispy. It also came with pure maple syrup which was not a great pair at all. Definite pass next time. The regular fries would be the way to go! Nicely salted, very crispy and overall had the feel of fresh fries we were looking for. Def recommend! As for the wings, the buffalo ones were as one would expect- tangy with a slight kick. By far though, the Korean chili garlic wings were great!! A lightly coated, nice meld of flavors, topped with scallions and crispy garlic! The wings in general seem double fried as they were very crispy and had a nice crunch to it. Would come back for these and the regular fries. The interior of this establishment was pretty spacious, several floors with plenty of seating. Lots of tvs for any games that would be on. Service was nice and quick however they put in the wrong order and gave us boneless wings first, which we declined because we didn't order, then they came with guac and chips, which we also declined because we didn't order. And they seemed pretty confused. Also, while waiting to order, we decided to go on the ziosk (on the table) to see the menu there and then went to games for literally less than 30 seconds, and then the staff came, exited out, and then put our order in. When the bill came, we were shocked to find there was a $3.50 charge for playing the games. We didn't even play- it was opened and then it was exited by the staff member. A new favorite of mine. On this spin I had the pork chop and it was delicious. I was still hungry after so I ordered the chocolate cake but wasn't impressed, which is surprising because I have basically loved everything I've had from here (wings, shiitake pasta, nachos, kale salad). Service wasn't the most professional this time which was also surprising. But as I said, I'll be back, one of my new favorites. I went on a Wednesday evening and it wasn't too crowded. We had a really enjoyable experience at Yard House. The food was absolutely delicious, and it was refreshing to have a main dish that came with something other than fries as a side and with no need to order additional salad/vegetables etc to complete the meal. The atmosphere really stood out too. The music was spot on and created a fun, relaxed atmosphere that made it a great place to sit back and enjoy the night. The best part was the music playing inside was also playing out on the street and we loved watching people sing and dance on their way past... such a happy vibe. The only downside was the wait to be served. But it's a busy, popular place so we get it and while the servers themselves were genuinely friendly and pleasant, service was a bit slow at times. I've been to Yard House before so I'm obviously not walking in looking for a Michelin Star experience; I had my expectations tempered. However, despite this, service was still pretty atrocious. It took over half an hour to get my drink, and I can't even remember how long it took to get my food. Also, I've been a server before and understand the kitchen being a bit backed up, or delivering dishes as they're ready. HOWEVER, everything came out at vastly different times for our party of 8. One person had finished their entire entree before I ever even got my drink (let alone my food, which I received AFTER that person had paid their share and left), which makes no sense. I ordered the Spicy Beef Garlic Noodles. Flavor was decent in terms of it having a nice kick, but the beef was so chewy/rubbery. I kind of gave up and left some of the beef uneaten, and ate everything else instead. Also, this doesn't even have any bearing on my rating, but I requested the rice noodles I saw listed for another equally-priced dish, instead of the included egg noodles. There was an upcharge, which is laughable. That's what you get at a chain restaurant in Times Square, so whatever. My drink, a watermelon marg, was decent. No issue there, but it took a very unreasonable amount of time to receive, like everything else. Definitely wouldn't return here, but I was with a group, and wanted to go with the flow. We came here as a group of five and found the vibe to be like other Yard Houses we've been to: balancing between casual and somewhat "upscale" in certain ways. I tried the Passion Fruit Spritz, which had good flavor and reasonable strength--though in hindsight, I'd probably have gone with the Smoked Old Fashioned if I had to do it again. We ordered chicken nachos, which are pretty much always a reliable option from Yard House, and this was no different. After the appetizer, I ordered the Truffle Cheese burger with fries, and was unsurprisingly satisfied with the flavor; just like many of their appetizers, their burgers tend to be reliably good (though priced a bit high comparatively; that's what you get for being in the city, though). Easy and conveniently located right in the center of it all. We were looking for a quick lunch and wanted something reliable. The NYC location delivered just that - consistent and great, just like the one near our home. We knew exactly what we were getting, and the meal was fantastic! It's a busy spot, so the servers can't check on you as often as they might want to, but overall, it was easy, convenient, and delicious! My only con was that the tables are VERY close together. I ended up eating my meal practically face-to-face with another mom just two feet away, dining with her family. Definitely a bit too tight for comfort. read more

Yardhouse is pretty much the same everywhere you go. Large spaces, above average bar food, and screens everywhere to watch games. We waited about 20 min for a table downstairs and once seated was given an indifferent stressed server. We asked what kind of vodka came in a drink he didn't know. Sent him to find out and what the upcharge would be for grey goose. He came back to tell is the house vodka was absolute and if was well it would be $3 less . I've never had a server try and downsell me before. Nor was that was asked Brings over the drink and proceeds to spill half nor was it correctly made. There were several other mishaps so we asked for the manager. Once we spoke to the manager service greatly improved since we were also given a new server and the bartender who was not in training made our drinks. Went to watch the game with some of my friends-- great place to watch. Little pricey and the food came out a little cold! Very sweet service nonetheless. I came here for a HSMAI event where an NYU professor presented on travel market trends specific to NYC, and Yard House definitely did a great job executing on a larger business group HSMAI accommodation. Food was pretty consistent, unlike other restaurants I've been to around the area for other HSMAI. The waiters were friendly and accommodating, willing to swap out my fries and give a coffee to accompany my dessert. I was originally introduced to Yard House by yelper Faye A, a yelper out of San Gabriel CA who recommended their buffalo wings, stating that their vegetarian wings are bomb!!! With this Yard House being very close to my hotel in Midtown West, it became my preferred choice for eating post running NYRR United Airlines NYC Half Marathon. I have said it once and I will say it again, "I will forget to turn my panties around when putting them on, wearing them inside out, but rest assured I will not forget what restaurant was recommended to me". I was acknowledged shortly after I walked in and up to the counter to be escorted to a seat by the hostess. I declined to sit at the bar, choosing to sit in the dining area because the bar appeared crowded. I chose to dine in rather than choosing to take my order to go since I was in the mood, plus I wanted to get a feel of the restaurant which appeared clean, and its atmosphere gave off a very lively vibe. And there are a number of tables and seats available inside of the dining area, plus televisions plastered on the wall for viewing pleasure as you eat or wait for your order. It always takes me some time to look through the menu, especially when I am unfamiliar with the restaurant. After mentioning that I was vegetarian to one of the employees, she dialed in a code on electric device at the table and several items labeled vegetarian popped up on the screen. It was then, I felt very giddy-like because it helped me with my search rather than looking at the menu which felt overwhelming to look at. Many of the products on the electronic device were by Gardein which I am very familiar with being that Gardein sells plant-based products. Once identified, I ended up choosing and ordering Lemon Pepper Wings, Parmesan Truffle Fries, and a Dragon Fruit Lemonade. As for the food, I have to say that the Lemon Pepper Wings were heavily seasoned with lemon and pepper, but ketchup helped ease the heavily seasoned taste and I ended up finishing them. The Parmesan Truffle Fries tasted delicious, but by the time I started eating them, I was stuffed from the Lemon Pepper Wings, so I ended up taking them to-go which worked out because it gave me something to eat later in the evening. Taking everything in count: food, service, and ambiance, I have to say that it was short of a great experience because of the Lemon Pepper Wings. Given that there are other items I would love to try on their menu is why I would consider visiting again whether it be this location or any other where I may travel to. Came here for a networking event. They served mainly typical bar food, which tasted fine, but very unhealthy. This ranged from loaded nachos, various flatbread pizza, chicken tenders, large pretzels, and many more. I was told that I needed to order from one of the servers walking around and not from the bar if I wanted a drink, so I did just that, but that took some time before they came back with the drink.
