Very nice views from the 40th floor. I ordered the cavier toast and an elevated Martini. Salty and good! Would love to return I the evening. Exceptional service!

My wife and I had our last night cap in the city here, and we were glad we did. Being able to see the beautiful views of the city at any table enhanced the electric atmosphere. The drinks were amazing and quick, and the DJ was on point. I loved having two different views and being able to go back and forth from each side freely, it added to the overall effect.

Hard to go wrong with a high rise/rooftop bar in a place like NYC. Well, you can go very wrong when places count on the view to overcome overpriced mediocrity, but I'm happy to say Dear Irving does it right! Views are fantastic of course. Interior is what I would best call comfortably swanky...posh, relaxed, and vibrant lounge where you can have a quiet conversation in the corner or enjoy a lively group gathering. Exceptionally good service, as the bartender and servers know their stuff and treat you well. At the risk of burying the lede (it's a bar, after all, and I've yet to mention drinks), the cocktails are excellent. Good variety of spirits and styles, all well-made and, honestly, not badly priced given the overall venue and experience. This has become a spot I like to drop into every time I'm in town, and I expect it to continue to be.

View was amazing. Very nice atmosphere. Our waiter Carlos was great helped with our food and drink selection. The fries and shrimp were good. Drinks were good.

Empire State lit up maroon for Fordham University graduates

We love this bar to watch the sunset and enjoy the view of the Empire State Building. Our most recent visit was to celebrate my daughter's graduation and the staff made our visit so special with complimentary champagne, a wonderful card and using the grad plates I brought as a favor to me. Noe is an excellent server and made it such a memorable night. I recommend this location to everyone craving tasty small plates and specialty cocktails from an excellent staff.

This bar is so classy and chic. Beautiful views, excellent service, and the best vibes. The view is absolutely fantastic. There is a bar area on both sides, so depending on where you are seated, you get completely different views. One side overlooks the skyline while the other looks out over the river, and both are gorgeous. We tried two drinks and really enjoyed both. *Somewhere Over the Andes: a refreshing lychee flavor with lime and lemon *Legends of Gotham: made with Jaywalk heirloom rye and vermouth Both were great, but the Legends of Gotham felt more unique. I recommend making a reservation if you have a larger group or want a prime spot with a view. We walked in and were seated at a table that was not right next to the windows, but it was still beautiful and we could walk around to take photos. There is also a balcony where you can step out and enjoy the river view. Would definitely come back!

Stunning skyline views, elevated cocktails, and the perfect rooftop energy. This spot is ideal for after-work drinks, date nights, or celebrating something special while the city glows below you. An absolute NYC must.

My friend and I came for a drink $20. good friendly mixologist but hotel drink prices - they have a hostess down stairs in the lobby acting like it's a hot club and there's no seats - not true . Once we were there seats every where it's a James Bond theme I loved it an amazing views . One side is Bond Girls the other is the Villains side . Great theme .

Great views, but this place is so loud. We came here with some friends but could barely hear one another. I lost my voice right after yelling at my friends to chat during my time here. Drinks were good. View was good when you stand next to the window, but couldn't see much sitting down

My daughter and I went recently for our sunset cocktail experience in NYC. We timed for about an hour before sunset and there were plenty of seats along the window. We had 3 cocktails altogether for about 2 hours and the server reassured us that was no problem. It was early April and chilly so we popped out briefly onto the deck but inside was perfect too. Our cocktails were yumm

This is a good place to check out. Great service, had no reservations, but was able to get in. Great vibes to this place, had an indoor and outdoor area. Great views, drinks were pricey (of course) but made pretty well. If you intend on getting wasted here, bring some money wit cha.

Whether one's looking to get those perfect Instagrammable city skylines or a drink with friends or colleagues under the sun, rooftop bars are a warm-weather must in Gotham. They are popular. So don't expect a quiet, intimate evening. The crowds can sometimes take away from the relaxing vibe, but hey, it's New York, and there's always something to look at. Located on the 40th floor inside the Aliz Hotel, my company hosted a milestone celebrating 30 years in the US and 20 years in the UK at Dear Irving On Hudson yesterday. Reservation is highly recommended. Upon arrival by elevator, guests were treated with a glass of champagne in a small, lively, and welcoming 007-themed interior with classy speakeasy-style lounge chairs and couches. A selected menu with choices of unique cocktails, beer, wine, and other mixed drinks were offered as well as trays of appetizers, i.e., Chicken Empanadas, Sliders, Tuna, and Falafel Balls being passed around by the staff. We also had catered food consisting of Filet Mignon, Salmon and Pasta. For entertainment, Dan played magic on the guitar and set up photo booth to make this event memorable. The two small outdoor balconies with some seating provided a panoramic view of the surrounding cityscape, deemed breathtaking, of the Empire State Building, One World Trade, Hudson Yards, the Chrysler Building, the Statue of Liberty, and a gorgeous sunset. Huge thank you to the staff at Dear Irving On Hudson, especially Edwin, Stafford, and Lisa, for making our experience enjoyable. As first-timers, all boxes were checked with the view, the ambiance, the drinks, and the bites, which we could recommend.

I enjoyed it! My boyfriend and I came here for a casual dinner before watching a musical nearby. Views are epic and the bathrooms were nice. They serve typical bar food that was all pretty good, I really liked the rock shrimp tempura. I liked the garden party (not pictured) and 90s nostalgia mocktails. It was nice to be there right at sunset to see the how the views change as the night gets darker. Overall, a nice place to chill in the busy Times Square area before heading to your next destination.

Is there an indoor seating option as of March 2021?

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

Easy to find if you know what you're looking for, if you arrive right at 5pm on a cold weeknight in the winter, you'll easily find a table or seat at the bar. Very cute space, cozy like everyone says, but nothing mind blowing. Music is moderately loud. The menu in early February still included their winter holiday cocktails. I was more interested in the apple sage house-made fermented soda, and it was pretty good-large glass, flavorful and not too sweet. My friend enjoyed her pomegranate version. The space started to fill up at around 5:30. Service was polite when you could get it, but generally very inattentive, even before it got busy. It honestly didn't feel too different from anu other very nice NYC bar, in terms of menu selection, prices, ambiance and service. Maybe that's standard for NYC speakeasies, but the places I frequented in other cities were more fun and felt more worth the price. I'll still give another NYC spot a try, but not coming back to Thyme.

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. It felt like a cocktail designed to be savored slowly. The music fit the mood perfectly, not too loud, just enough to give the room energy without killing conversation.
