Great rooftop bar near Time Square. Its located on the top floor of the CloudM hotel. The bar has a wrap around balcony with relaxed seating and great views of the city. They make great cocktails, and have big ice, which is alway a nice touch. I had wanted an Espresso Martini, they asked if I wanted a great one, or just an average one. They ended up sending me to the lobby, where they have an espresso bar that makes a legit martini. It was worth trip down and back up and I appreciated the point from the rooftop bar tenders. Great place for drinks before or after a show, but do not expect to get food. To get to the bar you have to check in at the hotel's front desk (which is actually a round table with laptops to the left when you walk in). They will call up to make sure there is space and then walk you to the elevators and give keycard access to the correct floor. There is inside and outside seating and the views are great, but it felt more like a hotel reception area where you would go to a happy hour manager's reception than an actual bar. There is a full bar and a menu of specialty drinks, with a few (1 or 2) snack options. We were planning to order the chips and guacamole, but it was just cold chips and guacamole from Whole Foods for something like $30, so we just stuck with the drinks. It was fine for a quick drink and balcony views before heading to a show, but not somewhere I would plan a night around. read more

Nice spot with awesome city views! We stopped by for a drink. Cozy indoor seating but they also have outdoor seating when weather is warmer. Service was great. We went straight up to the rooftop but when we arrived it sounded like we needed to check in with someone downstairs... not sure what the process is but it wasn't a big deal. read more

We were in the area and deciding between a speakeasy and a roof top bar. We were so happy with our choice! The lobby on the ground floor is lovely. The bar was great - the views, the drinks and the vibe! There is indoor and outdoor space. It's a nice cozy size. It was pretty empty when we arrived and was filling up nicely on the way out. It is not the tallest building in the area but the views were beautiful and the staff and music were great! read more

My first time on a 21 story roof top in NY. I loved it. It was quiet, the bartenders were super nice and I loved the view. Other people are saying it's not the best, but it was great for my first roof top. We also had a beer which was delicious! read more

Happened to be in the area on Saturday night so we popped in. The front desk explained they only allowed hotel guests after 10:30pm so we thanked her and were about to leave, then she said "you know what, they can take a couple more - it's fine, have fun!" The woman who greeted us upstairs was so welcoming and friendly. We had a couple drinks and enjoyed the amazing view. It wasn't even crowded for a Saturday night, which was wonderful. Will definitely be back! read more

Very chill ambiance in a small tucked away rooftop bar close to Times Square. We kind of just stumbled onto this place looking for a rooftop bar, saw it within walking distance on maps. Cocktails were 24$ a pop and each drink was very well crafted. We went on a chilly March evening and their rooftop balcony was still open. It was okay, decent drinks and a pretty cool view. Not the best view in the city, but I still like it! It's a lowkey spot, very small so it was definitely first come first serve. I lost my phone and it took me threatening to call the police for them to give it back to me. We had people calling and texting my phone and everyone there was "looking for it" the bouncer threatened to fight me because i wouldn't leave without my phone. I was trying and trying to get my phone back but they kept saying "We're trying to find it" after 30+ minutes we kept waiting to find out where it was. We kept calling and texting my phone but no one would answer. As soon as i said "I can see it on 'Find My Friends' I know it is here. I am going to call the police." It was given back to me immediately. They had it the whole time. They are trying to take advantage of people After finding out that my phone was missing my partner was the one calling my phone and it was being answered by the bar tenders. They were would answer MY phone and as soon as my partner would explain the situation they would hang up. Then as soon as it was explained there was no communication. I was on my way out and realized i didn't have my phones so i tried to go back to the bar When the bouncer was trying to kick us out he threatened my partner and when I was trying to talk to him he looked at me and said "Is thsi your man? you know what i would do to him? I would f*** him up!" Because i was trying to get back in and get my phone. He is a coward because he knew I could defend myself because an employee there stole my phone and I had to get back in. The bartenders were straight up threatening me. They were desperate to get me to leave without my phone. They said they were going to fight me. The bouncer kept pushing it and kept saying "What the F*** is he gunna do!?" I needed my phone!!! There was no argument. I knew it was in the bar. We called and a bartender answered!!! Then as soon as we're looking for it nobody knows where it is!!!! The bartenders would hang up and not answer. Then as soon as I showed them the "Find my" they said "let me look again"... I said "I know its here, I'm going to call the police" the bar tender literally found my phone within 30 seconds Criminals, crooks, thieves. read more

I was looking for a rooftop bar when I was in New York for a weekend. This place didn't require a reservation and we took the elevator up! We tried 5 drinks and each one was SO GOOD. To start off with, this location is amazing. Just a block or so off of Times Square. You could see the Gershwin, the MM store, and a lot of other things from the rooftop. There were several seating choices. Sofas, bar, top, and Adirondack chairs. The drinks were good, but the menu was exceptionally abbreviated. The bartender was good enough that he could take requests, but I was hoping for something fun to choose from. The only food choice is potato chips in a bag. They had nice music playing, and it seemed pretty low-key. Be aware that you can reach the bar by elevator, but you have to take stairs to get to the restroom. I won't lie - I am sure this is a tourist hot spot. And I am here for it. While in town for the weekend, friends and I had just finished doing a tour of Chinatown via Airbnb (def recommend) and we wanted to hit up a rooftop bar. We went to CloudM right around 4 (which is also when it was opening) on a Saturday. It was cold and windy outside but still, this rooftop provided the best backdrop to the city in that part of town. They have an extensive cocktail list, beer and wine. They also have a great food stall within of the famed Nom Wah (which we had just learned about on our Chinatown tour!) Go here for the photos, stay for the clean and fun public restrooms and stellar playlist. And be prepared to take all the photos. Everyone else is! read more

I am shocked this place has only 17 Yelp reviews, it is great. Almost didn't come here because of the lack of reviews but so glad we did. It was pretty empty for a Saturday afternoon, and there's space indoors and outdoors. Yeah, it's not a perfect view, and rooftops are pretty windy, but it is quiet enough to have a conversation which is what I like. The bartender was extremely friendly and picked up on our vibe. We had a special occasion (bachelorette) and he made it extra special. My group really liked their drinks. Indoor area has quirky ambiance, lots of cool stuff on the wall which is great conversation starters. I am a local and I would come back here. read more

This bar is really for hotel guests only. Oh, an employee will be happy to let you upstairs by scanning their badge in the elevator, but once you're up there you need a room key to get back into the bar from the bathroom (which is a floor down, so be prepared for stairs). I had to pound on the door, which only opens with a keycard, for a solid 30 seconds before the very annoyed bartender finally opened it. That said, the bar is just as pretty as the photos make it look, and the views are great. Can't speak to the cocktails because who feels like drinking after being trapped in a stairwell? read more
