The bar was great - the views, the drinks and the vibe! There is indoor and outdoor space. It's a nice cozy size. It was pretty empty when we arrived and was filling up nicely on the way out. Happened to be in the area on Saturday night so we popped in. The front desk explained they only allowed hotel guests after 10:30pm so we thanked her and were about to leave, then she said "you know what, they can take a couple more - it's fine, have fun!" The woman who greeted us upstairs was so welcoming and friendly. We had a couple drinks and enjoyed the amazing view. It wasn't even crowded for a Saturday night, which was wonderful. We had people calling and texting my phone and everyone there was "looking for it" the bouncer threatened to fight me because i wouldn't leave without my phone. I was trying and trying to get my phone back but they kept saying "We're trying to find it" after 30+ minutes we kept waiting to find out where it was. We kept calling and texting my phone but no one would answer. As soon as i said "I can see it on 'Find My Friends' I know it is here. I am going to call the police." It was given back to me immediately. They had it the whole time. They are trying to take advantage of people After finding out that my phone was missing my partner was the one calling my phone and it was being answered by the bar tenders. They were would answer MY phone and as soon as my partner would explain the situation they would hang up. Then as soon as it was explained there was no communication. I was on my way out and realized i didn't have my phones so i tried to go back to the bar When the bouncer was trying to kick us out he threatened my partner and when I was trying to talk to him he looked at me and said "Is thsi your man? you know what i would do to him? I would f*** him up!" Because i was trying to get back in and get my phone. He is a coward because he knew I could defend myself because an employee there stole my phone and I had to get back in. The bartenders were straight up threatening me. They were desperate to get me to leave without my phone. They said they were going to fight me. The bouncer kept pushing it and kept saying "What the F*** is he gunna do!?" I needed my phone!!! There was no argument. I knew it was in the bar. We called and a bartender answered!!! Then as soon as we're looking for it nobody knows where it is!!!! The bartenders would hang up and not answer. Then as soon as I showed them the "Find my" they said "let me look again"... I said "I know its here, I'm going to call the police" the bar tender literally found my phone within 30 seconds Criminals, crooks, thieves. read more

To start off with, this location is amazing. Just a block or so off of Times Square. You could see the Gershwin, the MM store, and a lot of other things from the rooftop. There were several seating choices. Sofas, bar, top, and Adirondack chairs. The drinks were good, but the menu was exceptionally abbreviated. The bartender was good enough that he could take requests, but I was hoping for something fun to choose from. The only food choice is potato chips in a bag. They had nice music playing, and it seemed pretty low-key. Be aware that you can reach the bar by elevator, but you have to take stairs to get to the restroom. I won't lie - I am sure this is a tourist hot spot. And I am here for it. While in town for the weekend, friends and I had just finished doing a tour of Chinatown via Airbnb (def recommend) and we wanted to hit up a rooftop bar. We went to CloudM right around 4 (which is also when it was opening) on a Saturday. It was cold and windy outside but still, this rooftop provided the best backdrop to the city in that part of town. They have an extensive cocktail list, beer and wine. They also have a great food stall within of the famed Nom Wah (which we had just learned about on our Chinatown tour!) It was pretty empty for a Saturday afternoon, and there's space indoors and outdoors. Yeah, it's not a perfect view, and rooftops are pretty windy, but it is quiet enough to have a conversation which is what I like. The bartender was extremely friendly and picked up on our vibe. We had a special occasion (bachelorette) and he made it extra special. My group really liked their drinks. This bar is really for hotel guests only. Oh, an employee will be happy to let you upstairs by scanning their badge in the elevator, but once you're up there you need a room key to get back into the bar from the bathroom (which is a floor down, so be prepared for stairs). I had to pound on the door, which only opens with a keycard, for a solid 30 seconds before the very annoyed bartender finally opened it. That said, the bar is just as pretty as the photos make it look, and the views are great. Can't speak to the cocktails because who feels like drinking after being trapped in a stairwell? read more
