    A total gem on 54th Street. This Korean restaurant serves traditional comfort food in an elevated fashion, every dish was a pleasant surprise both in execution and flavors. As the website says, combining tradition with a modern touch. They do it so perfectly. The dining room was warm and soothing on the eyes. The servers were very polite and attentive. Each dish was presented with a smile and they helped to move things around as the table filled up. They were even prompt to remove plates that were finished. They did so with efficiency and never interrupted our meal. For starters, I had to order the uni and ikura shot. It's one of my go-to dishes so if I see it on the menu, I just have to get it. And thankfully so, this was delicious - served in an elegant glass. I savored every bite. I also ordered the Pollack rolled omelette - mayo and katsu sauce drizzled on top. It was a pretty dish. Next, I ordered the Korean fried chicken, which is boneless and so juicy. The batter was light and very flavorful. I saw King Salmon sashimi on the menu and as suspected, even the presentation was beautiful. All of these apperizers were star dishes on their own. I recommend all of them! For entrees, we ordered the bulgogi cream perilla udon. So creamy and so many flavors. I enjoyed it very much. For protein, I ordered the bulgogi mushroom hotpot. The broth was very comforting to eat on a cool evening. There was a lot of ingredients - bulgogi, a variety of seasonal mushrooms and it was served with rice. Yes, I ordered way too much food for two people but it was a fantastic dinner service. Leftovers were neatly packaged. And you finish the meal, the restaurant was so sweet and generous in offering us their strawberry persimmon dessert. It was a gorgeous presentation and totally memorable. The persimmon was like a sweet paste baked into a soft shell and the fresh strawberries really complimented the dish. Well balanced in sweetness and again, not heavy. There were just so many delectable selections on the menu, I frankly wanted to try it all! Since it was my first time here and a special occasion at that, it was quite a dining experience. And I'll say it now, I am looking forward to a return visit soon. A very memorable meal.

    4.5. Higher end still authentic korean restaurant! I've dined in and ordered for delivery. My wife is korean and loved the bimbimbap. Very flavorful and fresh ingredients (though not in hot stone pot). I got the galbi and the meat is very high quality and marinade is perfect. Got the korean fried chicken (free item on uber eats), meat was very tender and not dry, felt more like a chicken karage from japanese restaurants though (nothing wrong with that). The seafood pancake is top notch although small portions. Though this place is priced for midtown it is worth the price.

    The start of my meal was not very pleasant as there was only a "wait to be seated" sign and no staff at the receiving desk at the entrance to acknowledge me. I had to call the restaurant from the entrance for someone to step out to seat us. It was about a 6 min wait despite us having reserved and there being empty tables. The restaurant may have little control over this, but there were flies flying around throughout the meal which was annoying. The waiter was friendly, said he learned Korean from having lived in Seoul for a while and was overall attentive. The food was alright but it is pricey. I did find many of the dishes a lot sweeter than normal, even for Korean food. I might go back to try the more experimental fusion options like the cream udon. A lot of the meat dishes came with roasted Brussels sprouts which was interesting. The portions are on the smaller side, especially the bossam which tasted authentic but only 10 pieces 36 dollars.

    I think Nari is a relatively new place in NYC, but they struck me as an impressive upscale Korean restaurant. Pretty inside. Service was fine, sometimes took a bit for someone to check on us. Got stone pot bibimbap with bulgogi on the side, and a truffle mushroom sotbap. It came with some little banchan, rice, and seaweed. The desserts were amazing, and what I will remember the most about this restaurant. - Marigold tea - very nice, smooth, light. - Sweet Potato Crème Brulee - Caramelized Korean sweet potato with vanilla ice cream (also had some small biscoff cookie pieces) - Fresh Truffle Vanilla Ice Cream - Fresh Summer Truffle, Truffle Honey, Grana Padano Cheese (insanely good combo, not something I would have thought of) It's a bit on the pricey side, but I think worth it for a special occasion.

    Great service and ambiance, but food underwhelming. It seemed overpriced for what it was because portions were small and none of the dishes really stood out flavor-wise. I feel like the up-charge is for the attentive service, calm seating area, and presentation of the dishes. What we ordered for dinner: - Eel sotbop: This was just okay. The unagi and rice were cooked well, but it seemed very basic. I think there could've been a little more sauce for the rice to balance out the unagi to rice ratio. There seemed to be a lot of bland rice leftover. The seaweed and wasabi on the side didn't add much. - Roe omelette roll: This was also just okay. Nothing special. It looked better than it tasted. All the ingredients just seemed not cohesive with one another. Each component was good individually (the flakey bits on the top of the omelette, the omelette itself, the roe on the inside, the sauce on the plate), but they didn't feel like they came together in an outstanding way. There was also no texture, which I feel like the crunchy bits on the top should've brought more of, but they disappeared in the mushiness of the omelette. Couldn't taste anything from the roe filling. - Crispy shrimp and lemon cream: This probably was my favorite dish of the night, but it was still nothing special. The shrimp was very juicy and tender. - KFC: Maybe the least exciting dish of the night. It wasn't bad, and I liked the pickled radish and sweet sauce it came with, but it was just average. - Bulgogi perilla cream udon: This was the most interesting flavor-wise, but unfortunately I just personally didn't like the cream as much. My family really enjoyed it though! The cream had like a hint of sweetness that reminded me of a sweet yogurt cream I'd eat on a dessert. Overall, food was average, and I probably wouldn't return, but the ambiance is very pleasant. Easy to have a conversation.

    Very nice Korean spot in midtown, near Central Park. Location is easy to miss from the street. Have gone a few times for lunch, when they have a lunch set for around ~$30. I've gotten the LA Galbi and their Pork Katsu sets so far, both were really great. Each set comes with a few banchan items, salad, and soup.

    Stopped by Nari for an early dinner on a Friday night and was immediately seated. The restaurant has an upscale atmosphere and refined service, making it great for a post-work meal. Food-wise, I'd say for the cost it lands more at around a 3.5 The eel sotbap was good, but was crucially missing the nurungji I was hoping to get with it. At almost $40 I was a bit let down by it, but it'll the eel itself had great flavor. We also received complimentary pumpkin soup, which was a nice touch.

    This place was so good. It's also beautiful and modern on the inside as well. I thought it was worth the price, as everything was tasty and fresh. We got the king salmon to share and each got a bibimbap, one being the hokkaido uni + ikura and the other being the beef tartare. They are closed from 2-5 and we got there at 1:30. There was only one other table apart from us so around then is when they are not as staffed and taking a break/preparing reopening later for dinner time. Will definitely come back and take other people here in the near future.

    Wowwie I haven't done one of these in a WHILE! Came here for team dinner and tbh, if this wasn't part of the company budget, you definitely want to be careful and selective with what you order. As another fine dining and pricey Korean option in NYC, it's facing tough competition. That being said, there were a few dishes that are definitely immaculate and some that can be passable. Beef tartare with Uni? Gas. So fucking gas I forgot to took a picture, ate into it, and said fuck it this deserves a picture of my messy plate. Sensational cold texture and bite, the meat flavor shines through, and the uni is a jam of creaminess. Japchae - truffle Japchae actually, decent if that's your thing. The truffle is not subtle and very nice but I'm just not a big Japchae guy. Good but not the best Japchae I've had. Dumplings and fried chicken: passable. Lowkey like a refined Costco frozen dumpling or fast food chicken nugget. Good sure but like, passable especially given the cost. The beef plate - it's nice but won't measure up to the good kbbq spots in the city. Still, worthwhile if you're craving it. Uni Sotbap - was expecting this to blow my mind but was a bit disappointed especially given the hefty tag. I think I should have gotten the wagyu sotbap instead. Solid overall, Nari has a lot of items that still look very appealing and eager to try but do take my list with a grain of salt as I've yet to taste their other dishes. Somewhere like a low 8/10 for the price point, but given that it's NYC, it's a good night out.

    What a cute spot! Happy I found this place while walking by in midtown. I went in on a weekday and it was pretty empty (it was in between lunch and dinner awkward time). Got seated in the back and enjoyed my meal in nice ambience. The food was great. I got the salmon sashimi and eel dot bap as my main. I thought the salmon was kind of fishy on its own but the sauce helped. I think it can be pricey for the average person, but I enjoyed it and the portion is fair. Overall 8.5/10. I'd say it's a great date spot.

    I went to this newly opened nice Korean place a few days ago on Election Day. The inside is nice and they have a fancy but well prepared lunch special. The downstairs was empty and a man who was working there said that the upstairs was open. There was another couple there or two and eventually another group came up as well and it was pretty quiet inside. The male server I had was friendly giving extra utensils and being attentive. They gave some barley tea/boricha to drink which was refilled throughout the meal which was a friendly touch. The lunch menu here primarily features bangsang/반상; a Korean word that I'm not familiar with which I'm presuming means a set menu with rice. All the dishes on there come with a variety of banchan/side dishes as well as rice which is either white rice or purple multigrain rice and of course I ordered the latter as I like it a lot more. As the prices are pretty high starting at minimum for $23 for silken tofu stew/sundubu, I decided to order something which I haven't had in ages listed on the menu as Ginseng Chicken Soup which is also known as Samgyetang/삼계탕 which was $28 and listed as a whole young chicken slow-cooked with an array of aromatic herbs stuffed with chapssal sticky rice creating a nourishing soothing broth. The chicken had a light broth with a few red dates/jujube in there and it was nice to have the soup/tang with the purple rice to add some texture and flavor. They gave me a scissor to get into the chicken easier along with a separate bowl for the bones which was nice. The sticky rice inside had a bit of an herbal bitterness from the ginseng and was tasty was the chicken itself was on the lighter side but that was expected for this dish. If you want a warming soup when it actually feels like winter, I would recommend it. There were a total of 5 banchan on the side and I'm not sure if they give refills. The largest plate and my probable favorite was an excellent version of firm tofu in gochujang with the little bit of spice in that helped with the lightness of the chicken. Next best easily was something that was a bit unique which was a black sesame flavored lotus root. I've had braised lotus root before but the nuttiness here was a nice touch. The cucumber kimchi was a bit less pickled and less spicy than usual which was fine while the regular kimchi again was firmer and less spicy which was OK (I prefer a stronger ferment for kimchi.) I'm not sure what the last banchan was but I think it was some type of root with a fun texture and a very mild flavor. I'm unsure exactly what my rating for this place is. It's a bit pricey but the food quality was excellent and at least partially worth the price tag. As they are new, I'll stick with a 5 but if they had let's say a hundred reviews or something already and they were around a low 4, I likely would be giving them the same rating.

With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Don't waste your time and better spend your money elsewhere.

We got the hojok galbi, crispy chicken, octopus tteokbokki, and perilla oil noodles. Starting off with the galbi, omg.. it was so tender and flavorful. Definitely a must-try and favorite of the night. I love how they also included some kind of salad on the side. The octopus tteokbokki included some fried seaweed on top, which was a nice addition, but was a little bit too spicy for me (I have a low spice tolerance LOL), but would be perfect with some rice. The flavor of the honey chicken was amazing, and it was super crispy. However, I believe they did include some pumpkin seeds on top, which was an interesting addition. Service was amazing, and it had a pretty intimate atmosphere, which was in a dim setting. Amazing for a date night, or dinner with some friends!

Seafood Pancake: Great pick. Crispy on the outside and packed with seafood inside. Beef Belly & Mala Cream Noodle Soup: Loved this one. Udon with tender beef and baby octopus... so good!!! Spicy Braised Pork Rib Stew: Rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The highlight for me was the raw marinated crab. I spotted it on the wall menu and immediately had to order it. It's rare to find in the city! And honestly, this was way better than BCD's. So flavorful. Only complaint... the banchan portions are small and not a lot of variety. Other than that, I really enjoyed my meal and I'd definitely recommend this spot.

I went with my sister and my daughter. We ordered the beef combo for 2 and a seafood pancake. The portion was just right. The quality of the beef was pretty good and was cooked to perfection (I requested for medium-rare). My sister had her portion cooked to well done since she is currently pregnant and didnt want to risk having any problems (not everything ended up being well done though). I personally prefer the pancake from elsewhere but it was not bad. My picky daughter really liked it. The combo came with a steam egg and boy was that good. Our meal ended with a yummy ice cream for each of us. This meal however made a pretty big dent in my wallet. It was my fault for not checking the menu before heading in.
