If you know Koreatown in NYC, you know the drill - authentic spots everywhere, but good luck getting a table on a busy night. We lucked into Antoya and honestly couldn't have done better. Turns out there's a reason they've earned a spot in the Michelin Guide. The quality here is a notch above, with a wide variety of meats served in sequence so you can actually savor each course. The restaurant spans multiple levels - you might end up seated upstairs or even higher up - but wherever you land, you're in for a proper Korean BBQ experience. This is the kind of place where you settle in for the evening, traditional Korean style, with friends, family, and a serious amount of alcohol. We ordered the beer tower - literally gallons of beer with its own tap. One tower is supposedly enough for the night. We got two. Let's just say we stumbled out very happy. Fair warning: whatever you're wearing is now BBQ and garlic scented for life. Plan your outfit accordingly. You've been warned, and it's absolutely worth it.

Atoya's attention to detail really shines. The food quality is immaculate, we tried the beef combo and loved it. It is more than enough for a party of 2! The kimichi stew was hearty and reminded us of the kimichi stews we grew up eating. Loved that they also provide some vegetables to ease the mind on the grill. The egg soufflés were wonderfully fluffy and there was a good spread of sides. They do not have radish paper but do have lettuce wraps. Staff were friendly and attentive, plenty of seating especially for a NY establishment.

So happy I got to experience Antoya. I started with the half and half wings. The garlic wings are undoubtedly my favorite over the sweet and spicy. I've already made plans to come back just for the garlic wings. The bulgogi bibimbap was my other favorite - the whole bowl was flavorful and I also can't wait to come back for this bowl too. The glass noodles were cool, even better with what I imagine is a teriyaki sauce [the brown dipping sauce next to the orange dipping sauce]. To my surprise, the wagyu was my least favorite and I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected to. The mango mocktail is good.

Looking for a high quality kbbq spot? Then get the premium platter from here. All the beef cuts were amazing. Every time I hear the sizzle, when we place the meat on the grill, my mouth just starts watering. It is on the pricer end for kbbq, but you got a treat yourself once in awhile. We ordered: PREMIUM MODUEM SO GUI (PREMIUM BEEF) MINI SOONDUBU

This spot was nice and in the center of Koreatown in downtown. It was not a KBBQ that I was used to. They actually grill the meat for you right here, and you just eat! It was a pretty cool feature to experience. I went with a group and enjoyed meat and the rice. There was a lot of other stuff to eat, but not much of it was to my liking. We also tried their flatbread with scallions and pork potstickers which were pretty good. The premium meat we ordered was really good and flavorful. I have been to better places than this, but the best thing about this, was the vac they had for the smoke because I didn't go home smelling like smoking meat. I'd give this place a try, if you're into all the small stuff they bring to the table.

Came here on a weekend evening and it was fairly busy. Thankfully we were able to be seated quickly for a party of 4. Ordered the following: beef platter - great variety & the scallion pancakes are delicious. The stir-fried glass noodles are ideal for sharing. For beverages I ordered the Bae Bae, perfectly sweet and an ideal compliment for the dishes. Great mocktail options as well. *bonus points for great playlist which featured Mariah Carey and Beyonce, and other classics. tldr: incredible Korean bbq, perfect for group or family settings. Would highly recommend

Lunch sets here are amazing!! Really good deal and you get a ton of food for the price. Sides are also unlimited refills! The soup is delicious as well. FOOD: Chive and Brisket Lunch Set (8/10) - Haven't had chives in so long but super delicious! Goes well with the rice. Braised Short Rib Soy (8/10) - Solid short rib as well. Not mind blowing, but for the price, makes it feel amazing!

This is our second time here, my boyfriend has been a few other times on business trips because this places ambience and service never disappoints! We love being cooked for and the attentive team oriented staff make it great. We ordered premium combo of beef and lived all the varieties of banchan since that's important to us. We got some soju as well and everything tastes so fresh and has great quality. The meat was cooked perfect for us and we absolutely loved this meal. Don't sleep on Antoya it's the bomb!

Tried out this place. Ordered the pork platter and an order of brisket. It was really good only thing I wasn't a fan was the marinated pork. It was too sweet for my tasting. Otherwise def recommend to check out this place!!

I would say this is the best Korea. BBQ in Ktown. Service is great and everyone is super friendly. They just renovated not too long ago, the private room space is perfect for birthday party. Highly recommended!!!!

Meat quality was exceptional! The rib eye was so juicy and tender. They bbq it for us which is nice. Lots of banchan included. The drink selection is good. I would definitely come back again.

Ask the Community - Antoya Korean BBQ

Vaccination still required?

Sadly yes they still require vaccination as of 3/25/22.

When is Antoya's last call for food and/or reservations?

Do they accept solo diners?

Yes but becareful of what you order . They are not clean .

Do you have to make a reservation?

Recommended but not necessary!

I just made a reservation for tonight 5 minutes ago. I want to cancel it - will I be charged the cancellation fee?

Does it serve BBQ for lunch?

I went during lunch so yes!

Will the BBQ be delivered as cooked or raw? For delivery, not stay or take out

The BBQ is serve raw. The server will help you cook the meat at the table but we find it more enjoyable to cook it ourselves. Korean BBQ is always better to dine in, It's more of a dining experience with the companies you're with.

Can we bring our own bottle (of wine) to this restaurant?

No I don't think so.

Is there a coat/bag check?

no there isnt :(

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

When we pulled up to the restaurant, we were informed there were a few levels. We went to the second floor and they were happy to accommodate us. We were rolling 6 deep and the booth was enough for us, but barely. In our party, majority of us wanted meat with the exception of 2 people only wanting shrimp and something else. We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

Manhattan, NY (Koreatown) - I love BCD and frequent the one in Fort Lee pretty regularly, but for…read moreyears have assiduously avoided this NYC location as it's always a madhouse every time I've come here for dinner with friends or co-workers, and because there are so many other great Korean options on this strip. But there's no denying that BCD has upped their soondubu game considerably in the last decade+ with a thicker, more deeply flavored broth, and now easily rivals my longtime favorite and gold standard, the OG So Kong Dong in Fort Lee. Then I stumbled into a hack that changed my view: lunch! I ducked in for a late lunch on a whim while walking by one day, and this turned out to be a much chiller hour, unhurried and no reservation needed. I was promptly seated, my order taken, and the banchan swiftly laid out. The banchan spread is solid across the board (the little fried fish does nothing for me, but seems to be a highlight for everyone else). I especially love the kimchi, near-perfect IMO, and the pickled cucumber. There's a modest lunch discount, which is a nice bonus for someone who likes to order aggressively. I usually get an oyster, seafood, or assorted soondubu (with a raw egg cracked in), danger spicy of course! Or go the C1 combo route with a galbi (marinated bbq beef short ribs) + smaller soondubu. It's an enormous amount of food, so I take most of the galbi home and feel no shame about it. The galbi, by the way, has also gotten noticeably better over the years - meatier, tender, and the flavor is on point. I've also enjoyed their bibimbap, bulgogi, jap chae, and seafood pancake. Finally, let's talk heat - this chili-head loooves fire! And BCD's danger level is one of the rare instances where the spice level actually meets my punishing tolerance for heat, not some pretense at "American spicy.," despite this being a chain. Their danger level actually means business and brings tears to my eyes, literally. It's still not my favorite place ambience wise, and dinner remains a contact sport I've mostly opted out of, as gone are the days that I can tolerate a culinary mosh pit, and any wait longer than 10 minutes (and only for a superlative place) will trigger an automatic ejection of my presence. But for lunch? Unexpectedly great. 4 stars for dinner, 5 for lunch.
