This place surprised me with the great quality at lower price range. There wasn't a thing I tried and didn't like. Well, maybe the quail egg shot. I mean it wasn't bad and I'd probably have one again but I wasn't ready for it LOL. Try it. The Happy Hour selection had a good variety so take advantage of it if you can. Service was good and everything came out in a reasonable amount of time. I recommend the baked mussels, salmon sushi, scallop sushi, yellowtail jalapeño, fresh wasabi, and anything with spicy tuna - although I wouldn't mind if the spicy tuna were spicier!

Haven't been here for a while and finally came back tonight and everything is just the same. Service as always is amazing, staff are very faintly and attentive. Out waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and offered us the specials in which we ended ordering which was the toro. Food: was delicious as usually, got the oho roll, chirashi bowl, tuna avocado roll and the ramen which was delicious!! Ambiance is very simple and cute. Had a few Japanese decor as well as a television to watch some shows or sports.

Such a hidden gem. This restaurant shared the same parking with the motel. Upon arriving, I didn't think much of it. We were greeted right away. We were told that it was their last call. However, when we sat down they allowed us to take our time and even let us ordered more than once. We really wanted their salmon skin salad, but they ran out. We got the fire cracker instead. This turned out to be one of my favs. The tuna was super fresh and yummy. It was so flavorful. The chip was crispy. Everything on that big crispy wonton chip blended so well. We also got the baked mushrooms. I was expecting it to be bigger, but it came with several pieces instead. It was super hot. It was also very good. The yellow jalapeño carpaccio was fresh as well. Each slice was not too thick nor too thin. The tangerine roll was surprisingly yummy. There was no seaweed. They used a very thin layer of something in the inside. Kind of look like soy paper but not sure. Service was amazing. The people there were nice and friendly. We mentioned that we liked the ginger. The male server brought out more for us. It was too much so we told him that we didn't need it. Very kind. I would love to return to try the other items. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Went here for the first time the underrated and off the radar really want to gatekeep it but wont! We got the fire cracker which was like spicy tuna poke nachos. Highly recommend! We also got the 12 piece sashimi sampler which was really flavorful. The staff was also really friendly and the vibe was great. we got some other rolls too and literally everything was perfect.

I've been coming here for years and just thought to make a review, this place has NEVER let me down. My regular order is the Chicken Karrage, Animal Style Roll and Sunrise on 2nd. Sometimes I get sashimi or the spicy tuna on crispy rice or the firecracker tuna with the wonton chips. I've come here with just my husband and I or my whole family and the service is always amazing! Love the ambiance because it's a chill vibe and the play good music.

Need to add more reviews for this sushi bar! It's my fav sushi bar to sit down on week days! I have been here so many times before! On dates, alone for happy hour, with group of friends and with group of family. It's my go to sushi bar. I like all the fresh quality seafood I get here. Sashimis are thick and fresh, the hand rolls are simple and addicting, rolls are tasty and fulfilling. I love to get hot sake when I go at the evening and cold beer at the noon time. Staffs are very friendly, and orders comes in with decent time. They can get busy during happy hour at lunch time. There's usually enough parking spots, but there's a couple street Parking spots as well. Happy Hour - current time is 3-6pm M-F.

Back again at OHO Sushi Studio for a quick happy hour bite with my girl and once again this spot does not miss We grabbed seats at the bar where our favorite sushi chef Sammy was behind the counter dishing up straight heat as usual. The man is consistent and that's a big part of why this place has become one of our go to spots in Long Beach. We kicked things off with quail egg shooters total umami bombs and a fun way to start the meal. From there we dove into salmon sashimi and salmon belly sashimi and both were exactly how you want them buttery, fresh, and melt in your mouth good. No fishy taste, just clean, rich flavor. For a hot bite we ordered the baked green mussels, which were a great appetizer savory, creamy, and perfect to share. Then it was roll time. We split a Double Tuna roll and the chef's special the "Sammy Delight" both were delicious as always. You can tell Sammy takes pride in his craft the flavor balance and textures on his creations always hit. We wrapped things up with a round of happy hour hand rolls, and every single one hit the spot Spicy Salmon, California, Salmon skin, and Tempura. All of them were tasty, fresh, and generously filled no skimpy rolls here even during happy hour. Service was friendly and efficient, and for the quality of fish you're getting, happy hour is a steal. Between the consistent food, the vibe at the bar, and Sammy doing his thing, this place has firmly earned its 5 stars from me. Already looking forward to the next visit.

I had the most amazing experience here today! Tay, our waitress was absolutely incredible and so sweet! And Sammy!!!! Omg! He made everything to perfection! The detail and flavors were on point! Oho also has an amazing happy hour! So good that it actually pulls me away from going to an AYCE spot. Also, the sushi here tops any AYCE joint! Had an amazing time here today!

    Happy hour menu

How did I never know about their happy hour! Mo day through Friday from 12-6 and Saturdays and Sundays from 3-6pm. It's amazing and extremely reasonably priced. The presentation is immaculate. It's in comparison with eating sushi at a high-end restaurant. Sammy makes every plate with so much intention and care. Definitely coming back as often as possible.

You will see Don's Motel Neon sign before rhr oho sign , Shared same parking lot as Don's Motel . Salmon carpaccio and hamachi sashimi were mouth watering.

Best authentic Japanese sushi . Cold saki and great variety. Tons of different rolls on the menu.

The atmosphere was nice and was giving authentic vibes. From the big Buddha statue to the art on the walls. It has a bit of a more darker ambiance. I enjoyed our server. He was quick to greet us and reviewed the menu and gave recommendation. He was very friendly and kept trying to guess what industry we worked in. So the food was great. For the appetizer we got chicken pot stickers. You didn't even need any sauce on the side. We ordered: Drunken noodles with chicken Pad Thai with chicken Glass noodle salad with shrimp Chicken skewers 2 Thai green salads. One was with pork belly and the other steak. Mango sticky rice We all got level 2 for heat which wasn't too spicy which we enjoyed. My least favorite was the mango sticky rice. It wasn't bad just different than what I'm use to. It was brown rice. It had a yogurt and fruit plum in it. I actually liked it. We all left stuffed and happy. I would definitely go back.

The biggest takeaway from our dinner at Thai District in Downtown Long Beach is something I cannot…read moreemphasize enough: the portions here are absolutely INSANE for the money. We came with the whole family, everyone left completely stuffed, and somehow we still walked back to the hotel carrying leftovers from basically every dish. We were only in Long Beach for one night staying at the Fairmont Breakers and walked over here for dinner. We know Long Beach has seriously good Thai food, so there was no way we were spending our one night in town eating something we could get anywhere. Very glad we picked Thai District. What shocked me wasn't just that the portions were huge. A lot of restaurants make a plate look enormous by burying you in rice or noodles. Not here. They were extremely generous with the actual meat, shrimp, vegetables, herbs, nuts, everything. I kept looking at the plates wondering how they were doing this. The Yum Woon Sen / glass noodle salad was ON POINT. Huge plate of noodles, vegetables, herbs, chicken, and what seemed like an endless supply of large perfectly cooked shrimp. Great balance of acidity, spice, freshness, and that slippery glass noodle texture. Then came the Nam Khao Tod Salad, definitely their own interpretation. Traditional nam khao usually has crispy fried rice balls broken apart and mixed throughout. Here it was almost the reverse: a HUGE amount of seasoned minced chicken almost reminiscent of larb gai, fresh herbs, vegetables, peanuts, and crispy puffed rice over the top. I still prefer the more traditional version with chunks of fried crispy rice, BUT this was legitimately delicious in its own way. I found myself eating half the plate while trying to convince my brain we were still calling it nam khao. The herbs and flavor were there, the peanuts gave it great crunch, and the amount of meat was ridiculous. The surprise winner for our daughter was the beef Pad See Ew. This girl had THREE PLATES. She kept asking what kind of noodles they were, why they tasted like that, what the sauce was, and about a million other questions. Eventually she announced she wanted to eat those noodles for the rest of her life. The wide rice noodles had that chewy texture you want, plenty of beef and Chinese broccoli, and they weren't drowning in sauce. Our son normally has a harder time at Thai restaurants because the spice and herbs can be a little much for him. The wonton soup finally gave us a win. The "small" was actually a substantial bowl with a LOT of really good meat-filled wontons, plenty of bok choy, green onion, and a comforting savory broth. He actually ate dinner successfully at a Thai restaurant for once. We also got the crispy tofu, which came out as big cubes with a peanut dipping sauce. Again, generous portion. They apparently do not understand the concept of putting six tiny pieces of something on a plate and charging $15 for it, and I appreciate them for that. Dessert was their Mango & Sticky Rice, and even this had their own twist. Purple coconut sweet sticky rice that reminded us of Korean purple rice, huge chunks of ripe mango, mango sorbet in the middle, and chewy sala palm seeds with an almost gummy, jelly-like texture. Then the whole thing gets drenched in sweet coconut cream. My wife and kids demolished it. And after ALL OF THAT, plus a Singha beer, jasmine rice, sticky rice, etc., our subtotal was basically $100+ for four people. Look at these portions. $100. In Downtown Long Beach. In 2026. I don't understand it either. Service deserves some love too. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating even though we showed up with two kids and immediately became that family. We initially sat at a normal four-person table, but apparently my children are traitors and will only sit next to their mother, so we asked to move somewhere with a bench where a 3-to-1 seating arrangement made more sense. No problem at all. Then I was sweating because I'm fat and apparently walking several blocks before eating Thai food was my personal Everest, so they even turned up the AC and moved us into the other section. Sorry guys, and thank you. The atmosphere deserves a mention too. The restaurant had this cozy, dimly lit, almost romantic feel without being overly fancy. It was peaceful and zen inside, especially for Downtown Long Beach. Soft lighting, comfortable seating, and a quieter vibe made it easy to relax and enjoy dinner. Seriously though, we had a great experience. Huge portions, tons of meat and seafood, excellent Pad See Ew, great Yum Woon Sen, a creative Nam Khao Tod, kid-friendly options, wonderful service, and some of the best value we've seen at a sit-down restaurant in a long time. We walked over from the Fairmont Breakers for our one night in Long Beach specifically wanting good Thai food. Mission accomplished. And now apparently my daughter is going to be asking me for Pad See Ew for the rest of her life.

Most bigger Thai restaurants give me this impression. But service is top notch. Quick and reliable. Price wasn't too bad either(in this economy, crying smiley face). Sorry that I never want to actually be in Long Beach(traffic sucksssss), but I guess now I have a good lunch spot at the very least.

The squid salad is fresh and packed with flavor. The shrimp Pad Thai is perfectly cooked and well-balanced, the egg fried rice is a great side, and the Thai boat noodle soup is a must-order with its rich, authentic broth. The staff is always friendly, the service is quick, and the food never disappoints. My only small issue is the parking--it can be a bit difficult to find a spot during busy times. Other than that, it's an excellent restaurant that I highly recommend!

The food hasn't missed yet and the customer service is great. We sat at the bar this time and the vibe was great with a huge tv to tune in to any sports game that may be playing. Beautiful interior but no parking out front or in the back if you go at dinner time…read more We went on a Sunday to watch the Chiefs Colts game. The south facing bar area seats were taken up so we sat at a two person table (it's just wife and I). Luckily the seats were facing the screen so we were good. There were seats at the north facing bar but that tv is old, small and has horrible picture. It was dark and the resolution was horrible. I ordered duck curry and wife ordered tom yum soup. We also got an appetizer of the spare ribs. Waitress told us our table would not fit all the food and asked us to relocate. I told her we wanted to watch the game and she told us we can move to a table facing the tiny tv. I was pissed because we could really enjoy the game now, however she was right about the table. With three large bowls of food, two empty bowls for our soup, two glasses of water, two bowls of rice and the condiments rack, it did not fit a two person table. If only they would have allowed us to wait until a larger table cleared up or had she told us there was a larger table tv upstairs, that would have been helpful. We didn't find out until the end of the meal. Anyways service was great and attentive until it started getting busy. Then they were no where to be found. The duck curry was delicious. The meat was tender and the curry was just the right amount of spicy and sweet. Love the grapes and pineapples. The soup was good, wish it came in a pot like other places. It got cold really quick in a bowl. The spare ribs were very dry and salty, we took it home for our dogs.

We have full kitchens in all the rooms where we're staying along with plates and all the set ups. The rooms even have dishwashers! So, I found this S T Noodle Bar near by and decided to give it a try. I kinda know what there guys like to eat, so I just ordered a bunch of food. The only request from anybody was for Pad Thai, the most common dish at all Thai restaurants. I GPS my way over and order the food. I was Khao Soy on the menu and I don't see that at too many Thai places that I've been to, so I got an order of that with chicken. Of course, an order of Pad Thai, 2 orders since I have 5 hungry people to feed. Also, I ordered the Thai coconut soup, I think it's called Tom Kha with chicken. One more noodles dish was the Drunken Noodles, it's kinda like Chinese Chow Fun, but has a more spicy flavor and basil in it. The food was all pack and bagged for me to take back to the hotel. We used my room since I have a bigger room. We had plates and set ups for all five of us and we re-plated the food on the serving plates that came with the room. All the food was really tasty and everybody was happy not to have to leave the hotel. I heard compliments on the Pad Thai and the Coconut soup. It was a good idea just to do take out and eat at the hotel here.

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Tasty Thai food in a pleasant atmosphere with nice service…read more Came by with some coworkers for a midweek evening drink and nosh. It was a pretty good-sized space, with light and bright decor. It wasn't crowded and we were able to get a table for 4 with no problems. We ordered as a group and I got to try the following items: - spring rolls with shrimp and tofu (the rice noodles were a little on the hard side, but overall ok) - fried calamari (interesting presentation with the rings hanging on the branches of a metal tree. They were large and looked more like onion rings. Not bad, but I prefer lighter batter. Also, see the subreddit WeWantPlates, hehe) - spicy seafood salad (fresh and bountiful amount of seafood) - steamed mussels in lemongrass basil broth (mussels were plump and tender and the broth was so good--my favorite) - Singha beer Service was prompt, and the prices reasonable. Very good first impression, would try again.
