Love me some diner style breakfast fare. Breakfast is breakfast, right? Eggs, bacon, potatoes in some form (hash browns or home fries), toast, etc. Yes, breakfast is a staple but at a good diner you get to add the atmosphere and decor and that can make all the difference. Mr D's has the diner magic going on. Good service, good food, good ambiance. Hey, that meets all the requirements!

Cute place with a 50's vibe. Plenty of seating. Food was average good. Not spectacular, but not lacking. Although tater tots are always a plus. Gravy was just a tad off for my taste, but not bad. Service was great!

The bar area was busy for a Tuesday night. They have a full bar, but this is definitely not a high end craft cocktail place so go in with that mindset and it's fine. I had the Chicken Gyro which was actually really good. Recommend the tzatziki sauce on the side. This also comes with fries, side salad or tots. They aren't pictured because my fries came out separately in a fresh basket which was very tasty. The vibe in here is definitely of an old school diner, but it's cute, clean and a good place for gathering. Angela the bartender is always super nice too and if you don't like your cocktail, she is happy to remake it for you!

Food, ambiance and customer service is always so on point. I had the breakfast plater and my friend had the biscuits and gravy. Lots of food and great for sharing. I would suggest this as a family friendly restaurant with accommodations for small business accommodations as well. Plenty of booths and tables. I see the parking lot has handicap excisability but still has ramp to door. So that's a plus, and again a nice place to visit its unique decor. A must try and sit with Marilyn Monroe while you wait to be seated.

We came to eat at Mr. D's around noon. One nice thing is they serve breakfast all day. I ordered an omelette and had them remove one item and substitute another. The omelette came with potatoes and also an option of substituting a pancake for toast, which I did. On a positive note the pancake was very good. Nice and fluffy. On a negative note I did not think the omelette was anything special. Overall, I was unimpressed with the omelette and have had much better omelettes at other locations. The waitress was very nice and the service was good.

ABC Cali. As you can see. It's huge. Tasty great recitation. Very good seasoning.

Had Sunday morning breakfast here and let me just say don't get the coffee. It was so weak, I could finish the cup in like 2 sips, it was as if I was drinking water, for a diner I would expect better. The waitress who took my order was nice and the theme inside the place was actually really cool! I had high hopes for the place. I ordered the country breakfast and that was actually okay. I wasn't a fan of the eggs but the hashbrowns and biscuit and gravy with the sausage patty on it was good. It's so close to my home , I wish I had liked it more but unfortunately it's not going to be one of my frequently visited places.

This place has really gone downhill... Service is SLOW, 15mins just to place an order, coupled with tiny 2 person booths that they try to stuff 4 people into, all for Denny's level food. The menu is totally different now but not in a good way. Anyhow not sure if we will be coming back, the grandkids used to love this place.

The pancakes are too spongy like McDonald's. More cakey would be better. Perhaps they use too much baking soda.

I went with the meat lovers version and this thing was packed. Eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, ham, melty cheese, and all wrapped tight in a warm tortilla. They don't skimp on anything. It's got that diner-style heartiness, and when you pour on the red or green salsa...Boom! everything just ties together. The homeade salsa was amazing also! Inside, it's got a classic local joint feel. Booths, tile floors, jerseys and photos on the wall, it gives off that neighborhood diner energy. The staff's cool, real chill. The guys behind the counter looked like they were having a good time while working, which always makes the whole place feel more welcoming. I'm not even from this area, just happened to be driving through and needed a good breakfast spot. Yelp pointed me here, and I'm glad it did. Total hidden gem for sure. You order at the front, and a staff member brings the food over to your table. We were about to eat inside their patio while it was a little chilly, but some indoor booths opened up for us. We both got the bacon burrito ($14). This is a large breakfast burrito with chopped bacon, two scrambled eggs, hash browns, and cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla. You can pick either red or green salsa. I liked the green salsa as it had a good balance of spice and flavor. The burrito has a lot of hash browns, which can overpower the overall flavor and other ingredients. The breakfast burrito seemed a little pricy, but the portion size made up for it. I even took a small remnant of leftovers home.

It's kind of like a skillet, except you have full control of how much of each items goes into it. Normally I don't like a ton of gravy in this ritual, but something about the gravy and sausage at Paul's Country Kitchen made this Grand Finale especially delicious. I mean--the Char's Country Plate was good in itself. I've had something similar at the nearby Mr. D's with its two sausage patties on a biscuit covered in gravy along with eggs and hash browns. I think the version at Paul's was a bit better. Every bite was a delight. But I think the best bites were reserved when I got that bit a sausage and gravy into the mix with the hash browns and perfectly cooked eggs. Grand Finales are usually a joy, but this one was especially joyous. Also, noticeable was the great service here. I found the servers personable and discerning. They managed to give out good recommendations, answer any questions about the offerings, and still hold good conversation. That's rare at any food joint you go to. Not only that, they held down the fort when it came to refills, getting my order out quickly, and dropping the bill off when it came time. The personal touch here is impeccable. Lastly, the ambience is great here. The space is kind of limited, but they had plenty of booths and tables, 2-tops and 4-tops, and counter space. Everything was decorated brightly without seeming gaudy, and it gave off a welcoming feeling that is traditional with all local diners. I wouldn't mind eating in a place like this regularly. In conclusion, I think I found a new place to have breakfast. Not only that, I think I found a new place to recommend to others when I want to point out what makes a good diner/coffee shop.
