Miss their food since Covid. This place is an exact replica of their La Vern location except just BIGGER and more Diner appeal with nostalgic decor. They have many choices to choose from and caters to our family of 7 with different likes. Today I ordered the Strawberry Crepes Combo with over medium eggs, hashbrowns and side of bacon. I gave this a generous 2 stars The food was very bland I had the beefeater 16.99 for a French dip The French roll was stale the dip was bland pretty much just beef broth. French fries were good. Bland food and strange policy's I order a mimosa not a bottomless one and it was bitter so I asked my mom to try and as she was taking a sip the waiter comes around the corner all noisy saying you can't share drinks like I understand if it's unlimited but it wasn't. This was the first time dining out since the COVID outbreak. It sure felt nice getting out. This is an old style diner with a huge menu. It's hard to decide what to order because you want it all. I ordered the Cowboy burger with fries and a chocolate shake. The burger was delicious and juicy. I would probably order a double or triple next time. The fries are a steak cut style. The shake wasn't served in a tall glass like you would expect to see a shake in. I'll pass on the shakes on future visits. I love the restaurant decor. The server was very nice and she didn't rush me looking at the menu since it's so big. All tables were spaced apart for COVID social distancing, and employees were all wearing masks. We have been disappointed with a lot of our regular breakfast places lately. So I was really hoping Mr. D's would be great. First impression is that it is. The 50's diner theme is fun, but the food is also very good. Portions are generous. I had the "New Orleans" omelet with pancakes. Both were okay excellent. We went to Mr D'S today for lunch. It's always a bit dicey with my special needs grandson. We had a phenomenal experience. Food was great. Our server was superb. Stacy gave Justin her undivided attention . He orders with a computer device. She directed questions to him. She treated him as she would any 17 year old typical teen. I was so grateful. Mr. D's is one of our new favorite restaurants/ bars. The bar area is amazing! The whole restaurant is very festive and fun, but I prefer sitting in the bar area. The happy hour menu is great. My husband and I are always on the hunt for unique sandwiches. Look no further, the sandwiches here are amazing! We LOVE the veggie melt. It is piled high with fresh veggies and cheese. It is very satisfying. We also love the chicken sandwich on sourdough. Amazing quality chicken and toppings. The seasoned steak fries are phenomenal. I've tried the tomato bisque soup and its quite yummy. My grandpa loves the traditional breakfasts here. This is a great place for the whole family, or a date night. We bought a turkey here for Thanksgiving. The process was easy and pick up was very organized. The turkey was so juicy and flavorful. We will definitely do that again. This is a 60s style diner. It has only opened recently and is new. The menu is excellent it has a large variety of foods. You can have breakfast all day. We ordered a chili burger/ bacon cheese burger a turkey and avocado sandwich and a chicken and avocado sandwich. All of the meals were ordered with tater tots but you could have fries. The buns and bread on the sandwiches were good and had a nice taste. The bread was fresh. I really enjoyed my chili burger. It did need more chili but they gave me more with no extra charge. The burger itself was large and juicy. The food was all good. If I had any complaints/recommendations it would be add more tater tots to the meal and a little bit more avocado to the sandwiches. I am looking forward to returning and trying their deserts. The pie looked good. Service was amazing. Our waiter was very helpful. Prices were what you expected. Everything on my plate was premade. I ordered the roast beef dinner, and I should have known that receiving my food less than 20 minutes after I ordered it meant that it wasn't going to be homemade. My salad was mostly lettuce heels and wilted leaves. The roast beef was DELI LUNCH MEAT (yes, the kind you can buy in a package at the grocery store) covered in canned gravy. After trying the mashed potatoes, they were very suspiciously lukewarm and stiff, and had the grainy consistency that boxed spuds have. The audacity to charge me $19 for microwave cookery and almost $4 for a soda is nothing short of maddening. The booth seats were sticky and the whole place had a very unclean feel. I love breakfast foods so this was a great place for it. They have a big menu so there's plenty of options to choose from. We had the San Fran benedict, pastrami chili cheese fries, Santorini skillet (not pictured), and pankcakes this time and everything came out fresh and delicious. I came in at like 8pm, and ordered a coffee and some boysenberry pie a la mode. Picasso! I like it! To begin, the coffee was really good! It tasted fresh and was smooth. It wasn't very bitter which was good. I was really impressed. No sweet and low but the equal was good. They offered 2 kinds of creamer, vanilla and plain. It was bottomless! They had a variety of pies but I ordered boysenberry. And let me tell you!!!!! It was so good with the vanilla ice cream. They warmed it up. Oh it was a mini pie. Probably the size of a hand. I like the fifties diner decor, with bright colors and murals of old classic cars and a Marilyn Monroe type mannequin sitting in the waiting area. They even have a bright red classic car made into a booth. My wife ordered eggs, bacon, and toast, and I had the chorizo burrito. Both good. Our server was pleasant and efficient. Went here with my wife for brunch one Saturday morning. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very nostalgic with their cafe aesthetic. This is now the 3rd issue we have had at Mr.D's and we are officially done ordering here! I like to give people the benefit of doubt, which is why we continued to go back and try again. This time, I ordered extra crispy bacon, you can see in the picture shown, it is not in the slightest bit crispy. Also ordered the crabby Benedict and the egg was over cooked. Pretty sure eggs Benedict are supposed to be runny. And the tater tots on the side of the Benedict were crispy, but almost tasted stale or as if they were from the day before and just reheated. We went to breakfast this morning, we had a party of eight. Our server knew many of the customers eating around us and it took too long to have our order taken, get refills, bring missed items because she was too busy talking with everyone! My daughter and I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was awful. It was dry, had too many hash browns, which were cold and tasteless, very little eggs and ham. Others said their breakfast was ok. They last few times we have eaten here it was not good. I was upset that I was charged an automatic 20% for bad service. We won't be back. read more

Had the California Burger and it was really good. Cooked well and on a brioche bun, with bacon, avocado and cheddar. The burgers are 1/2 pound and come with steak fries aaand soup. We came in for the steak and eggs breakfast. Our survey was very good and nice very delightful. She made everything easy she's always around making sure if we need more of anything I do recommend this place has plenty of parking yummy steak and eggs was real good came out real good we have steak eggs we had a bread toast also coffee is always serve fresh. I had a cup of water but yeah it was pretty good. I mean real decent here scrambled eggs hashbrowns. It's very delicious Food it was good here and I looked around the food. All look excellent I'm a come back again for some sausage and eggs. Yeah it was a good breakfast here. I was glad I came by check them out right here. The service was great our server was Alejandro and he was the sweetest he recommended a few options and we decided to go with it. I'm so glad we try what he recommended it was DELICIOUS!!! The soups are so good and so was my lasagna. We went late at night an hour or so from closing and we didn't feel rushed like other places that want to get you out.
