Pizzas are alright. Just what you'd expect from a fast food place. Not too bad but not good either. Salads are also just average. Arugula was yellowing. The workers are, however, quite rude. My mother was ordering her salad and she was trying to decide one which meat toppings to get. Given that English is not her first language, she did take a couple of seconds to look through the choices. The worker slammed the salad bowl on the table and crossed his arms. I don't know if he was having a bad day or something but that is no way to treat a customer. Also I ordered 3 pizzas but they gave me 2 and cut me off by accepting the person behind me. Customer service is terrible here, except the one guy working the veggies section. We really like MOD Pizza, When they open you years ago we were so happy to have one very close to our house. I really like the idea or of the options or tapping and sauces I think it's really great. I could give more five stars but The price as rose, but the toppings changed and they seem to be stingy and roll eyes when we ask for more please. Now I know there isn't a long line to order like it was before. We tried to come and eat there but the tables are always dirty too. As a MOD pizza lover and living in 3 different cities and forever finding a MOD location to eat at this one was by far the top of the list for the worst service and choice of staff. How incredibly disappointing truly. I come to houston to visit family and this location here does not match their interior aesthetic as in the staff does not match the location. I placed an order tonight on the app for a simple cheese pizza with corn as i am allergic to pepperoni....this is what i received. the staff was rude to several customers and dismissive. what a waste of time and money. Gluten Free crust is $2 more, but it's also larger so it's not a bad deal! Toppings looked fresh, pizza tasted good, and service was amazing, especially since we went as a field trip of middle schoolers arrived. It's a bit chaotic in there and very loud. My mom and I wanted to try this place out since it's so close to our house. The line was nearly out the door and progressed rather slowly. When it was our turn to choose what we wanted on our pizzas, the employees didn't keep up to pace and there was only 1 person to ask if you wanted your order to go or what kind of pizza or salad you wanted, 1 person to put on the sauces, and 1 person to put all the rest of the ingredients on. The last person couldn't keep up to speed and she was slowing down the line and it doesn't take a genius to see that she needed help, but the cashiers (who were just standing around) didn't even help her. No wonder the line is so long. They could've just helped a few people to make the line move smoother and continue ringing people up when they got to the end of the line, but they just made it so complicated. I ordered 3 pizzas and one of my pizza came out burnt. It didn't take too long for the pizzas to come out. It was spring break on a Friday night, this spot is still pretty new, and it's the only dinner spot in the upcoming Towne Lake Boardwalk so far, so I'll cut them some slack. 2) pricing -The price after food and drink was very impressive. Especially for the quality and speed that I received my food. You pay a flat price for your pizza, whether it has one topping, or ALL the toppings. You pay what's on the overhead menu. I got full for under $10(with a fair tip included) WIN. 3) quality - The dough, the sauce, and all the toppings looked and tasted very fresh. The peeps behind the glass were pleasant. I like a little heat, so I added "Mama Lil's peppers". (Next time, I'll just go for the jalapeños. ¡Orale!) As I turned the corner to get my drink, I was surprised to see colorful fountains of house-made teas and lemonades. The "caramelized pear iced tea" was the first name to catch my eye... Very lovely. Notes of honey, and the obvious baked pear... And very lightly sweetened. Beautiful. Then I tried some of the Marion blackberry lemonade. Oh my word. It had pureed blackberries in it. It was amazing. And a beautiful red color... The drink selection, including a few local beers on tap let me know this would be a place I would love. As soon as I was done taking in the drinks, my name was called and my pizza was READY. I'll sumarize my eating experience in the following few sentences: 1) that thin crust is BOMB!!! YES!!! 2) their cheese is very pungent, so if your taste buds aren't that refined (like mine are NOT) I'd say stick with mozz and parm... The gorgonzola was a bit much for my personal taste, but I still destroyed that thang! I mean.... try new things, but don't go all XL pizza on something you're not sure you'll like.... If you're a cheese-head, you'll love it all. 3)that cheese was melty like the cartoons, bro! WIN. 3)all the flavors harmonized perfectly. 4)my brother got the CALEXICO and it was pretty on point. Man that buffalo sauce. MMMM!! My dad got the MAD DOG pizza, and I've been day dreaming about it at work all day. This place is pretty awesome! I thought of this place to be like a subway, but PIZZA! I was craving a pizza since Monday (rain day) and the location was closed, so we tried again yesterday... IT WAS OPEN! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and that gave me a good vibe! The rest of the process we received nothing but smiles from the staff, and they were very helpful since it was my first time visiting. We did take our pizza to go, but the place is very chill and it has a nice outdoor area with tables as well. I ordered the MOD with BBQ sauce, topped with mozzarella, chicken, cilantro, and jalapeños (the pregnancy heartburn was so worth it lol) SO DELICIOUS! It reminded me of a brick oven pizza place from my college days that I loved! When we were leaving and again, the guy from the register said "THANKS FOR COMING!" This location has just opened, it's super popular, and we came during spring break. So they were understandably SLOW. It took 30 - 45 minutes total to wait in line and get our food. Not something you'd expect from more of a fast food type place. There were only two workers making pizzas. The staff don't know the ingredients that go in all of the pizzas yet. So, they kept looking up at the menu, which likely added to the slow times. My sister's pizza came out delicious and crispy, the kind that MOD is known and loved for. But mine was a sad, flabby mess. I love that they have the flat price for their pizza that it isn't stupidly priced like regular pizza shops. Pizza ingredients are very cheap for restaurants to buy yet most places want to charge $12-$16 for the pizza. Huge rip off but I love that MOD doesn't do that. You are better off ordering two pies because it kinda ruins the crust. Atmosphere- 4 Stars Clean and nice, well designed. Value- 2 Stars Fairly expensive for pizzas of their size, probably the largest knock on the whole deal. Drinks- 4 Stars They have a few beers and wines on tap. The employees were not welcoming and all had an attitude it was as if we were just being rushed out. Toppings weren't spread out through the pizza it was all bunched in one spot.
