The food was pretty good! I had the Nashville chicken Mac and cheese fries! Wish there was more Mac because it was super tasty. I was scared the fries would get soggy but they were actually pretty crisp. SO got the lemon pepper tenders. They were tangy and hot and moist. The one sad thing is you can't really customize the Mac/fries. I wanted the spiciest chicken instead of the Nashville but they said no. The person who took our order wasn't the friendliest and the order took a while. The wait was 20 minutes which is pretty long but the food was worth the wait. read more

I came here for National Chicken Sandwich Day and got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The sandwich was probably the best hot chicken sandwich I've gotten in the Houston area. I constantly get it at other places and while the flavor wasn't as good as others, the portion size was almost too big for me even though I hadn't eaten all day. The coleslaw, sauce, and brioche bun were all well done which helped tie together the massive amount of chicken before me. Service and ambiance were pretty standard for hot chicken places but I'd definitely come back if I have the stomach for it! This place was very busy for almost 9 p.m. on a Monday night. The service wasn't the friendliest, but the food more than made up for it. You order at the register and then they will call your number when your food is ready. My son had the Chicken Sando in "beautiful burn," and I had the BBQ Mac Chronic Fries...and OMG. First, the sandwich...the tenders are huge, and it was a little messy to eat with the slaw and sauce, but my son said it was amazing. The chicken on the BBQ Mac fries had a seasoning that made you think you were eating a BBQ lays potato chips, and was soooo good. The portion was huge, but where they fell a little short was that there wasn't very much Mac and cheese on the fries, and the fries were a bit dry. I was a little worried about there being Ranch on top but I honestly couldn't taste Ranch on any of it, so that worked out. All in all, we will return again. read more

Came here with a friend to grab dinner! I got a tender sandwich and a side of the hot cheeto mac and cheese. The sandwich was honestly so big to the point it was really messy to eat, but everything tasted good. Food was reasonably priced as well. Service was quick. Rating 4.5. Service was good. Restaurant was clean and they had football playing which was nice. Food was good enough to come back and try something else! I ordered chicken and waffles with the beautiful hot level spice. My husband ordered the Urban Fries with the beautiful hot level as well. They def live up the "hot" chicken name! lol we love spice but this might have been a tiny bit overkill for us to truly enjoy it. We will be back though to try something else! read more

We've visited this location twice. The first time was for takeout, and there were some free items we were supposed to get with our meal that they seemed adverse to giving to us. (In my view, if you advertise it as free with purchase, you should provide it without issue.) The second time was to dine in; the place was generally clean, the staff was friendly and our food was prepared in a reasonable amount of time. However, the food was just okay - not bad, but nothing special - although the term "jumbo tenders" as a descriptor of their chicken seems misleading. Also, compared to similar restaurants, they come across as overpriced. All in all, it's good food, but nothing special or worth going out of your way for (although I will add that they seem to be one of the few places around where you can get a regular-sized shake.) read more

The food is really good and the portions are generous. I do caution the heat level you choose for your food because it is surprisingly HOT! Yet, still delicious. Get the BBQ! The rub on the chicken makes it taste just like the BBQ potato chips we love. Service is good and the place is usually clean. First, this place is one 13 in Texas. There's nothing special about this place. Just another chain serving frozen chicken and fries. The service here is very slow for just serving fried food. It took 20 minutes from the moment we ordered until our food was ready. I ended up having to go up to the counter to find out why it was taking so long. The food was like warm and greasy. The sauce is a Cane's sauce ripoff. Wow this place is bad. Terrible flavor and lackluster experience sealed it for us. We won't be back. You shouldn't even bother. read more

I have been dying to try this place and it didn't disappoint. I decided to try the mild tender sandwich and a half order of urban fries with BBQ sauce. The customer service was a bit underwhelming as the workers seemed rushed and didn't care to at least smile when handing the tray of food. The wait for lunch wasn't too long and it seemed to pick up after my order came out. The decor is nice and they have music playing which may be a bit too loud if you're trying to talk to someone in your party. I was shocked when the food came out I wasn't expecting the size of the sandwich! It was massive and rightfully so as it's $10 alone. It was the first thing I dug into and man it was good! It was extremely hot and fresh. The flavor of the slaw with the pickles and chicken seasoning was perfection. I don't think a combo is even necessary as the sandwich alone is more than enough food. I also don't recommend it for a date meal, it was messy, so beware. The fries were a hearty size also, it was more than enough for two people and honestly it's a whole meal within itself. the only place where i will return for the food when the service sucks. i love the urban fries, i love their chicken, their bird sauce, the waffles and hot honey, their lemonades, everything other than the service. i see workers on their phones, no gloves in the kitchen, so many tables are filthy, and cashiers look at me like i ruined their nights. i am a server myself, i always tip, but this place is an exception. the food is amazing, i love it and will return, but these workers wont make any money from me. i just hope the kitchen staff get paid well enough for making the food read more

I've been to this location 3 times. The food is really good. I recommend the Nashville Hot!! It's a little pricey. We got 3 tender baskets, 3 drinks and 1 kids basket and paid $70. The kitchen is well staffed. I always see at least 10 people back there. The front of the restaurant is in DESPERATE need of staff. On our last visit there were 5 dirty tables full of trays and baskets. The few tables that didn't have dishes were sticky and dirty. There was 1 lady working the whole front of the restaurant. she takes your order, cleans the table, and refills the drink station. The restaurant was full and the line never stops which is probably why it was so dirty. They need more staff to keep up with the clientele. The food is good. You're going to get swamped but if you can't maintain a clean restaurant they may not come back read more

Finally got the chance to check them out and they did not disappoint. I met a friend for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and the dine in area was relatively empty, but there was a constant flow of customers placing orders and taking them to go. We placed our order and waited about 5-7 minutes for it to come out. I ordered the Nashville Hot Tendo Sandwich with fries and a drink. I requested the slaw on the side. She got the same flavor, but in tenders. I took a bite from my sandwich without the slaw to taste the flavor. It was . The sandwich had the right amount of heat and sweetness. The chicken was juicy and hot (temperature). I tasted the slaw before adding it to my sandwich and it was ok. Nothing crazy about it. What I liked was that it wasn't all mayo like most places, that's all you taste. What I didn't like was the kale in the slaw. Don't get me wrong, I like kale, but served this way, no. I did add it to my sandwich to add some crunch and help balance the heat (temp). The crinkle fries were good. There's a selection of fountain drinks and lemonades. I had the blueberry lemonade and had to mix it with water as it was too sweet for me. Overall, I enjoyed the sandwich and will come back to try the meal fries and street fries. read more

No welcome in or no hi or hello when we walked up to order. We came in at 4:30 ish and waited 20 minutes for our food! I would understand the wait during a rush, but there were no customers waiting before us. Our order was not large either. Mild or the hottest. I picked one that was a little more spicy and liked it. The sandwich was big, enough for two meals. You get your money's worth. Excellent food that was flavorful and delicious. Lauren took our order with a smile and double checked that she heard it correctly. She immediately made my wife and I feel welcome. We had barely seated before our order was ready. The two tender baskets were top notch and fresh. Before we left the manager brought us a card for a free meal on our next visit. Urban bird hot chicken has been a go to for a while now when it comes to food, especially if you ordering as a family. Getting their bird pack which is an INSANE amount of food for 35 bucks is great. Walk out with a family of 5 fed with food much better than any canes or any other hot chicken for just 35 bucks. The spice isn't just what makes them good, I often will get a super spicy meal and sometimes if I wanted something like canes but wanted much better chicken, the no spice is JUST as good, SO TENDER. ALSO, the service here is amazing, I had Enrique (sorry if I butchered the name) take my order and she was great, and accommodating to any questions I had today. As well, the area is cool with nice seating, TV's around and just overall a good atmosphere. 10/10 won't be eating chicken from anywhere else for a while.. read more
