Food is decent (3 stars) but not worth the wait... 20+ minute wait for a combo meal of 4 pieces of fish and 4 shrimp? Also, asking for a tip when I'm picking it up in the drive thru? That's a bit much. Won't be back to this location. read more

I'd seen the sign for Catfish Station on many occasion, but never the actual restaurant. My wife's offer to bring dinner to my daughter's home gave me an opportunity to explore. The unassuming restaurant had a homey, clean and functional interior attached to a convenience store. We ordered 10 Fish, 15 Shrimp family meal with french fries, coleslaw and hushpuppies to go. The fish was fried to golden perfection, but rather mild on seasoning for a "Cajun" restaurant (same sentiments for the spicy tarter sauce and remoulade sauce). We all agreed that the shrimp were very good. It was a split decision on the hushpuppies as my wife and daughter like sweet cornbread and I prefer savory. In any event, all of the fried foods (including the hushpuppies) were fried perfectly. The quality of the food, cleanliness of the restaurant, and friendliness of the staff earns a repeat visit to Catfish Station when I am in the Cypress area. read more

This place is attached to a gas station, and driving on Spring Cypress I couldn't see it, but it is there sort of facing Barker Cypress. The food is very tasty and the portions are quite generous. I had the shrimp poboy and the red beans and rice. The shrimp poboy is 8 inches long and they let you chose between grilled and fried, as well as what veggies you want in it, comes with a side of fries. With the Cajun Sausage with Red Beans & Rice, they give you the choice between white or dirty rice, and it comes with hushpuppies and sausage. The food came out promptly, and everything tasted fresh. Although the place didn't have people dinning in, while I was there I could see it gets plenty of take out orders. read more

I just ate the worst po-boy I've ever had at this place. I ordered a grilled fish po-boy combo with coleslaw. They got my order wrong - I got fried fish instead. I didn't want to wait for a remake, so I decided to eat it anyway. The fried fish was barely warm - it obviously wasn't made fresh. Who knows how long it had been sitting out under a half broken heat lamp. Here's hoping I don't get food poisoning. The French bread was soggy and cold, despite only having a sprinkled of wilted, discolored lettuce and, 3 shriveled little slices of tomato that were all still stuck together and packed into the center of the sandwich because the kitchen couldn't cut them properly. The coleslaw was abysmal. I kid you not, this coleslaw was 50% mayonnaise. It was so disgustingly goopy and thick with mayonnaise that I couldn't eat it. Their soda machine tastes off, too. Judging by the looks of the rest of the place it probably hasn't been cleaned in months. It also smelled like egg farts. I don't know if that's wafting in from the gas station that this kitchen is attached to, but it should have been the signal for me to pick somewhere else for lunch. I'm all for dingy little hole-in-the-wall restaurants, but this place is clearly nothing more than the last vestiges of what used to be a decent Cajun fast food chain. I don't expect Catfish Station to be in business for much longer - the people running the place are either incompetent or just don't give a damn about quality. Gross, nasty, food. My day is worse because I went here. If y'all want good Cajun fast food try The Catch on 1960 near Willowbrook Mall. Oh, I almost forgot. This is what I sat in front of while i ate my sandwich. They had some weird decorations up. read more

The food at Catfish Station is always excellent--fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Every time we order, the quality is consistent and everything tastes amazing. One of our favorites is the Alfredo with the trio (shrimp, sausage, and chicken). My husband is normally not a pasta fan at all, but he absolutely loves this dish and actually requests it. It's that good. He can easily eat two orders by himself, and sometimes ends up eating half of mine after finishing his. The garlic bread is also fantastic, and they always follow our order instructions perfectly. We've had nothing but great experiences here. Overall, we have no complaints at all--we love it and will definitely keep coming back. read more

I don't know why my reviews keep disappearing. Don't understand how this place gets away with calling itself catfish station since they no longer serve catfish. Look on the menu people it says fish. Not catfish. When catfish station first opened up they were serving real catfish now they serve something other than catfish. Used to love this place will never eat there as long and else continue to lie about what they're serving. read more

Blackened fish with dirty rice was outstanding. Best dirty rice I can remember eating anywhere.

So this place is right beside my home and I was always so curious about it. Randomly on Yelp they popped up. So I ordered on here which is a big convenience but I really need y'all to read the special notes I didn't have the sauces I ordered. Anyways, fish are huge pieces very delicious, flavorful falls apart in your hands. The hush puppies are so delicious they have a sweetness to them. The rice is delicious a hint of spice all is very delicious. I kick myself for not getting the tacos they look good in the windows. Will definitely be back I have no idea Why this place isn't busy. Update my daughter was the one going in to get my food as I have toddlers. But because she didn't know my number the lady said I needed to come in next time. That means i won't be coming back in Fix your drivethru also why is the shrimp taco more than the fish? You gave me 3 pieces of fish read more

Great to-go option with fresh flavors and fast service! Catfish Station is my go-to spot when I'm craving something quick, fresh, and satisfying to go for lunch. The grilled fish tacos are excellent -- perfectly seasoned, light, and full of flavor. Everything tastes fresh, and the portions are generous without being heavy. It's a great quick option for lunch takeout -- food always comes out fast, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Even though it's more of a casual stop, the quality and consistency make it worth coming back. If you're in Cypress and want something flavorful without the wait, Catfish Station hits the spot. read more

The people at the drive thru are very rude we ordered the family meal and ordered a Pepsi as well they didnt give us our Pepsi they were drinking a drink standing there doing nothing they finally did when we got our food guess because I didn't tip someone for just handing me my food absolutely ridiculous read more

This was a pick up experience and I'm so bad for not taking pictures with pickups but I will change that. The food was amazing I had the shrimp basket with red beans and hush puppies. The shrimps were huge, fresh and hot some of the best shrimps I've tasted at a fast food restaurant. They were seasoned to perfection the red beans were good but I've had better but those hush puppies OMG they melt in your mouth they were so good. The service was wasn't fast and I appreciate that because they cook your shrimps once you order it so they come out fresh and hot I love that. Can't speak on the ambiance because it was a drive thru purchase but I can say I will be eating from this establishment again you can bet your bottom dollar on it read more

Food was great, my first time here. My family and I love the flavor. Great customer service and the price was average.

This review is for the Cajun candy wings. They are a solid 5/5. They taste fabulous! The chicken was fresh, crispy and the sauce taste great. They are my new favorite wings. Next, I'll be trying the chicken fettuccine Alfredo :) but the wings are the bomb. read more

We ordered through Uber eats on a Friday for a late lunch because we were traveling. This place was amazing - the Uber driver was extremely slow and it took us about 45 minutes to get our order.. even then, the flavor of the food was worth the wait We ordered a pound of catfish, mac n cheese, cheese grits, banana pudding. The catfish was so crispy and flavorful! Must eat with their spicy tarter sauce. Hush puppies definitely tasted like fried corn bread balls w/ corn - will definitely order again! Banana pudding........ been craving this for a hot minute! WE WILL GET THIS AGAIN! The mac n cheese was the only thing that was a bit underwhelming - nonetheless, it was still flavorful. Reason why mac n cheese doesn't get credit for being good was because it was penne pasta w/ a white sauce - kinda just tasted like a generic Alfredo pasta.. it didn't taste homemade. We had to season it with salt and pepper. read more

Wow. What a difference from the experience we had 8 months ago (see previous review). We ordered fried shrimp and red beans and rice, and Mac 'n cheese. Everything was delicious, seasoned well and cooked to perfection. We could tell our order was cooked fresh. The best hush puppies this time too, light and crispy on the outside, and completely done on the inside! Mac and cheese made with penne pasta in a real cheese sauce - so good. Red beans and rice is still more watery than we prefer, but that is a variation not a negative - it was still good and seasoned well. So glad we gave this spot another try... we will definitely be back! read more

Ordered the family catfish special which comes with 10 catfish filet and 16 shrimp, fries and red beans and rice. First off, which family are you trying to feed with these catfish nuggets? Why would you cut them into smaller pieces and call them filets? The shrimp was fine but the red beans and rice barely had any rice in it. Not sure we will be returning unless they somehow learn how to feed a family. This is unacceptable. read more

Don't order through door dash. Theirs no option to add tartar sauce to your fish basket. side order tartar sauce charges you extra for it. and catfish station forget to give it you with your fish basket. So you drive back for tartar sauce. So what the point to order through door dash. Not happy for wasting gas and tipping door dash. read more

I ordered at the drive through. After I paid, I was asked by the sweet employee to wait about 6 minutes. I had about a 20 min drive home and the food still tasted warm and fresh. The shrimp and catfish were perfectly cooked, more than enough sauce, and napkins/silverware. I had a nice solo dinner that hit the spot. Will visit again :) read more

Great food! We were staying with family and they encouraged us to try it. The hushpuppies are amazing!

This place is gross and they give you tiny fake catfish nuggets for the cost of a large piece of real catfish. If you are going to sell swai, you should tell your customers that!! It is over priced and the service sucks! read more

The quality of the food has gone down. I usually get the same thing and decided to switch it up today. I have seen the shrimp platter before and thought it looked good, so today I ordered it with the cheese grits. The shrimp was fired hard, over cooked and very chewy. Didn't look how I saw it last time. Definitely will not order again. The grits are good! I typically get the grilled shrimp and fish combo and never miss. This was definitely disappointing. Also! Make sure they give you for sauces! Last time I paid for extra and didn't get any with my meal. Today, I made sure to ask if they were in the bag before buying extra. read more

This place is a solid spot for fried seafood! I always get the combination basket with shrimp and catfish , and their crispy fries. Their Remoulade Sauce compliments the food very well it even has a slight spice / kick to it! (nothing a non spice lover couldn't handle tho) Hush puppies are pretty good too! Pretty good catfish when I want it quick and don't want to make it homemade which *pop my collar* is some of the best in town...ask about me lol ijs Pretty small, located next door to a Shell with a passthrough conveniently located between them. I actually wouldnt recommend eating here though they do have an eating area of 6 or so booths/tables plus some single high seating on the side. I find it easier to just go home and eat in peace. The to go boxes are made of paper so no worries about your fried items getting soggy from steam. The catfish is good but still something in their coating I could do without...awkward sweetness and some of the thinner pieces tend to be overcooked. Red beans & rice was a hit, came with some meat as well. I wasn't a big fan of their cajun rice though. Can't go wrong with the fries. Drive thru seems rather dilapidated and since items take a while after ordering, it can get annoying waiting behind cars. Wouldn't recommend it unless you're driving around with no pants on. Hey no judgement, I'm totally guilty of doing that too. If you're in the area, check em out. Pricing is pretty decent. read more

Catfish Station in Cypress was surprisingly good. They have a convenient location on Barker Cypress Road at the intersection of Spring Cypress. There's plenty of parking. The venue is not large yet there was no trouble finding a table on a busy Saturday evening. You order at the counter and they bring the meals to your table; this process occurred rather quickly. The staff are all friendly, personable and knowledgable when it comes to their menu. Some of their dishes are quite spicy so ask about which ones are if you are not sure. I ordered the blackened chicken, which is served grilled and has just the right amount of "kick". The portion size is large and the chicken was cooked to perfection served with dirty rice and one side. I chose green beans, which were overcooked and watery (would not suggest this particular side). My girlfriend ordered shrimp and grits that is prepared in a cheese sauce. I tasted her meal and it was rich and delicious. Catfish Station is a fairly large menu which includes fried and grilled items. Their prices are fair and reasonable. I will definitely go back. read more

The fish and shrimp were friend to perfection not over cooked not tough or chewy and there was no excessive fried batter like BB's. Legit and consistent place to order fried catfish and gumbo. However the only veggie option that I prefer at The Station, on Hwy 6, is the garden salad. I telephoned an order of the shrimp ettouffee but I was really disappointed. Dince I ordered white rice not "dirty rice" with this entree, O was puzzled why he asked me the question: "white rice or "dirty rice?". Nevertheless, I am a pescatarian and could only eat the shrimp. And I must, also, note that when I made the telephone order, I told the gentleman that I preferred the Ranch salad dressing for my house salad. Clearly he did not write down my order because he had the nerve to ask me "which salad dressing?" when I arrived at the window of the drive through.
