What a great place! We were looking for non-meat items for Lent. We have been here a few times and they have the BEST po-boy bread (If you know you know). I was craving crawfish and ordered two pounds. It is the beginning of the crawfish season so they weren't super large (as expected) but they tasted amazing. My husband and daughter got shrimp po boys that were great! Our experience was so great the entire time. We were so lucky to have the best waiter (David). He made the experience even better. Let me take y'all on a little journey...because that's exactly what this was. I placed a simple order at BB's Tex-Orleans around 1:20p. Called in, spoke to a lady--she put me on hold for a couple minutes, came back, confirmed my number and name...everything felt normal. I ordered two crawfish po'boys--one with no pickles. Easy. Nothing wild. She told me 20-25 minutes. Cool. We pull up to curbside right on time...feeling optimistic, hungry, ready. A young lady comes out and says: "...we don't have an order under that name." ...Excuse me? So now I'm standing there mentally replaying the entire phone call like: "Did I dream that?? Was I talking to a ghost employee??" She offers to put the order in again and says they're not busy, so it won't take long. At this point, I'm already halfway checked out, ready to just leave and reconsider my life choices. My husband asks if they can compensate us for the mix-up. She goes inside, talks to the manager, comes back with... 25% off. Now listen...normally I'd appreciate that. But at this point, we had already: * Waited 20-25 minutes for the original order that apparently never existed * Now we're starting a brand new wait time So realistically, we're looking at close to an hour for two sandwiches. And honestly? The 25% felt like putting a band-aid on a situation that needed stitches. The whole experience just felt disorganized and frustrating. The food was quick to come out which was surprising because there was a wait to even get seated. The egg was so rubbery and hard it had me wondering how long it was sitting before getting served, not even at the low end chinese buffets had the boiled eggs at this texture, the shrimp were super rubbery as well and hard, the shell was even hard to remove from the shrimp itself, same thing with the corn just rubbery and firm legit the only thing that was great was the potato and their tex-orleans sauce, it was so disappointing for a first time at this restaurant though, definitely my last time coming here read more

Stopped by for lunch on the way back to Houston to the airport. We were actually headed to another restaurant and saw this one. So glad we did. Lots of parking and easy access. Seated quickly at a great high top in the bar area. Definitely had the smell and look of a Cajun place and the menu did not disappoint. I've been to BB's plenty of times and usually have good experiences except this visit. I ordered the triple play with Fried Shrimp, Boudin Link and Lemon Pepper Wings ($19.99). While the presentation lacked the food did too. This was my first time trying the wings which I was looking forward too but they were tiny, overcooked, dry and flavorless. You can see from the picture how they looked burnt. The boudin link was decent, the flavor is there and it's quite meaty if you're into that. The fried shrimp honestly saved the dish, they were tasty, seasoned and fresh. I also ordered a side green beans ($4.99) and not a pinch of salt, they definitely looked better than they tasted. * I have visited this location a few times when visiting the Lowe's nearby. I always sit outside when I come, the view is usually pretty peaceful. However, the service can be a bit slow when you choose outside seating. * The food is okay, I would give it a 3 on a perfect day if you're particular when it comes to seafood. The waiters are usually pretty nice whether they realize how terribly slow their service is at times or not, they aren't rude at all. * On my last visit, I decided to try their gumbo for the first time, not expecting anything spectacular. I ended up not having room in my belly to try it so I asked for it to go... this is where things went left. In the photo, you can see a nice amount of rice in comparison to the gumbo itself. I asked for this to go, UNTOUCHED.. meaning I hadn't eaten any of it. They packed it to go in a way that looked decent from a glance, but when I got home I opened everything completely and found a CONDIMENT CONTAINER with the rice in it! Literally, a small plastic container you'd put condiments in. It made absolutely no sense, the manager refunded me when I called, something I didn't ask her to do. Her attitude was terrible! I went to this "Cajun" resturant and ordered 2 clusters of Dungnness crabs. they they asked me do I want "The Tex-Orleans Way, The Louisiana Way, or The Citrus Garlic Way?" what gives said I. The Fried shrimp were a good size, a safe option if you're unsure what to order and the French fries deadly. I almost had to ask for more! Fried pickles were okay, In my opinion could have crispier. Boudin balls had a generous amount of filling, I couldn't tell if it was the sauce or the balls but there was a nice hint of spice. If it's a nice day, I recommend getting outdoor seating. My family and I found this restaurant via Yelp and we had passed by a few times and wanted to try it out. We entered and were quickly seated by a very sweet hostess/server. As we sat at our table and we're viewing the menu, a server, Jacinda, passed us several times and made eye contact each time without welcoming us or even saying someone would be with us. We sat at the table about 4-5 minutes watching the server walking back and forth serving others. My family decided to leave not necessarily because of the time we sat there but how we were overlooked without even being greeted. On our way out the server, Jacinda, walks towards us and asks "You all aren't eating here? You leaving?" My family responded "Yes." Jacinda in a very rude tone says "Where you going? You should've eaten here but okay, bye." The way I was feeling and the way she spoke to my family, it could have gotten real ugly for her real fast. I kept my cool and walked out.
