Yum. Perfectly cooked onion rings.
Ruth K.

So we were famished and chomped and on some onion rings while perusing the menu. Those onion rings were perfectly fried and delicious; the only disappointment was that we wanted more but it was only one serving LOL. For entree I ordered the country hamburger with onions and Mr. Picky chose 12 fried shrimp. I asked what "corn nuggets" were and we ordered those as an upgrade side. I overheard the waitress describing the shrimo etouffe and decided to sneak a cup into our lunch order. That actually might have been my favorite part of the meal. I'm not sure it's strictly etouffe as most people expect it, but this was better, sort of a shrimp bisque version. I'd come back and order an entire bowl of that next time. Definite winner. I have to mention that the floor staff was very accommodating and helpful, they were great. Missing is some background theme music to match the food as I wasn't a huge fan of what the chef or whomever chose for playing in the background. They don't have any homemade desserts, and we didn't love what we tried. But overall, it wasn't bad and I'll return for a much bigger bowl of that shrimp etouffe.

The food was great and the service there was also awesome. The staff checked on us multiple time even with multiples large parties. The fried food was light and airy.

Cup of gumbo with the "garlic bread" in the back ground.

My husband and I stopped in here because he was craving a steak and we had read a bunch of good reviews. We started with the stuffed jalapeños. We asked our server what they were stuffed with and his response was "I'm not sure" and the menu had no other details. Our second surprise was a restaurant that actually has the word STEAK in the name had only THREE steak options. That's it. The whole steak selection...three items. We went ahead and ordered dinner. The jalapeños came out and they were stuffed with......cheddar cheese. That's it. Very disappointing. We were so hungry and there is no bread or munchie food at all, my husband went up and asked for some garlic bread for the table. We were asked how many pieces? Odd question, but we got 4 pieces. While we waited and waited.....and then our dinner arrived....with 4 pieces of thick white Texas bread with garlic butter on it. Not what we expected and did not want with our dinner. My po-boy came out completely naked. Not one thing on it but the shrimp. Then I had to chase down the waiter for tartar sauce. I also don't want to chop up my own veggies to dress my sandwich. My husbands steak was cooked perfectly. But that was the only thing right with it. It was sooooo salty and there was some other spice on it that ruined the whole steak. The fries and okra were good but hard to mess those up. The gumbo was not a repeat either. It was full of red bell peppers and the roux much too light for my tasting. I like a heavier roux. This is not a re-do for us.

Great customer service ! Came in around 8pm on a weekday and it was very quiet and chill inside the restaurant. The shrimp gumbo was delicious but the chicken gumbo tasted a little odd. The chicken was over cooked. Everything else was delicious and I definitely will be returning to try more from the menu.

The food is okay but it seems like it's always hot if you go during the summer. The food is reasonably priced and many people love it.

I do not personally do spicy. These were perfect, the peppers were in the dish but easy to eat without. Definitely a large portion for sharing and tasty. For dinner I had the Filo's Filet the steak was absolutely cooked to perfection. Not pictured was the side salad that was served in abundance and very fresh. My son had the Renegade Sirloin another generous portion cooked to perfection. He ordered his dinner with a baked sweet potato and side salad. We completed dinner with their scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake. While I had leftovers from dinner I wasn't leaving without a few bites of this tasty creation. The restaurant was busy, however, we were seated in a reasonable amount of time, our server was pleasant and attentive. Great meal, great service, and all around great experience. We will be back again soon!

We got there during a busy dinner hour and the restaurant was half full. Initially everything was great. I was pushing him in a wheelchair and a young lady came to open the door for us. Then she disappeared. The hostess sat us by the entrance because there aren't any tables with big space for a wheelchair. She had to ask a male employee seemed to be a leader for approval. Not sure why there were so many lights and the restaurant was dark like a dungeon. I had a hard time seeing the menu. I ended up taking a picture and lightening it on my phone in order to read it. My friend already knew what to get. He seems to be a regular here. We ordered a strawberry lemonade for him and I got a cup of hot water. That water became a lifesaver. I called it holy water because my friend had to rinse the stained utensils in the cup. For me, I couldn't really see the dirty forks because it was too dark. They brought us a loaf of bread and a scoop of butter in a cup. I immediately looking for the utensils wrapped in a cloth napkin. There was a gigantic knife and 2 forks. I didn't see any butter knives. So, I cut the bread with steak knife and used it to spread butter. I really don't know how other customers would eat the bread. Because it's too dark in there. I ordered Lemon Garlic Chicken with Brussels Sprouts and mashed potatoes as sides. I guess the waitress had hearing problems. I got broccoli instead. I pointed at the menu especially said BRUSSELS not BROCCOLI. Hello? Do you need a hearing aid? I didn't complain because the chicken was f*cking salty as hell. So does the butter on the mashed potatoes. I think they trying to kill me. My friend seemed to like his dish. Except, he asked for a loaded potato and immediately changed to mashed potatoes. He got the big potato sitting in the plate and waitress rushed over to replace it with a mashed potato. He asked for steak sauce for his lamb chop. It was odd because it was Parmesan crusted already. I don't know if I would come back. Or, I'll order something that is easier to pronounce and with a big picture. And, I'll ask for steamed vegetables with butter on the side.

The service is prompt and friendly, and most of all, the food arrived piping hot. That in itself was great. Everything had very good flavor, and excellent texture. From the bread, to the meat, to the veggies, it was all crisp on the outside, and tender on the inside. In addition to the wonderful meal, the highlight of the evening was the key lime pie. It was a surprise birthday dessert, and neither of us believed we liked key lime pie until we tasted this. If we visit this area again in the near future we will, at a minimum, have cocktails (they were excellent), and more of the key lime pie.

I'm not exaggerating...the average age in there had to be about 83. I guess the early bird special got all the senior citizens out there and asleep. On a Saturday night, the place was basically empty by 8:30pm. After eating there, I completely understand why. The French onion soup showed up looking promising, then immediately disappointed. Zero seasoning. No salt, no pepper, just... bland broth sadness. I ordered a T-bone steak, and I've genuinely seen bigger cuts at a grocery store. Not even a nice butcher, just your average supermarket. My steak was paper thin and butchered so poorly it looked like it went 12 rounds with Rocky Balboa. I paid an extra $5 for their "coffee seasoning," and I'm still trying to figure out if they forgot it or just waved it over the plate from across the kitchen. My wife ordered the surf and turf. $109 later, we got what might be the most overpriced plate I've ever seen: a tiny portion, two pieces of asparagus, and about a tablespoon of completely unseasoned mashed potatoes. The lobster tail? Cooked so long it should've come with a warning label. We left wondering how a steakhouse could miss this badly across the board. Save your money. Buy a steak from the grocery store. It'll be bigger, taste better, and you won't feel like you just funded a very slow, very bland experiment.

This restaurant definitely aims to please. I was being very specific about what I wanted for my ribeye steak tonight; waitress Jessie was awesome and listened carefully to my requests. And then to make sure that I was absolutely happy, she brought Chef Kenneth to the table to discuss what I was looking for. Kenneth returned from the kitchen with three beautiful-looking ribeye steaks and we discussed which one would give me the best dining experience. He does some of the butchering himself so he knew exactly what I was looking for. I ended up being served the most fabulous Wagyu steak I've had in a very long time. Unlike the other steaks that can have a seasoning on them, the Wagyu is just salt and pepper and then is served with a beautiful compound butter slathered all over it. They make that butter in-house and it has wine and shallots and bone marrow and other wonderful stuff. Trust me, it's amazing! I ordered extra on the side and poured that all over the top of the steak. Delicious!! Sometimes little things count and it was served with grilled onion that was tasty. I could have had a side of mashed potatoes or asparagus, but I decided to treat myself and try the mac-n-cheese instead. Half of that food was my lunch the next day, so I left enough room for dessert, where my choice was the apple pie bread pudding with cinnamon roll ice cream. That was nice and moist and I enjoyed it. Overall, this was a really great dining experience and I'm so glad that bad traffic gave me the excuse to come here. Will definitely plan a return visit!!

We have spent many special occasions dinning with our favorite meals prepared by the chef. Today after a long day at work, we wanted to celebrate finding out this afternoon about the pregnancy of our 2nd child and made reservations. A minute into sitting down with my husband and toddler, a host/manager came up to us saying to please take our child out if he gets too disruptive because there had already been issues this evening with other children. We hadnt even been there long enough for him to even make a sound, seemed odd but we agreed. Because of the greeting as we sat down I decided to play his favorite show on my phone to a low setting to keep him distracted so he wouldnt be "disruptive". The music and conversations in the restaurant were louder than my phone ( for context it was 2 levels above silent) but another host/ manager approached and said we needed to lower the sound and that "the owner of the restaurant is not happy that there are so many children this afternoon during date night that he can see through the cameras" to which my husband asked "does he not like children in the restaurant ?" to which she responded "actually no, this is an adult friendly atmosphere for dates." Worst experience at this or any restaurant I've ever been to; staff ruined our celebratory dinner. Didnt even stay for dessert. The waitress was great, she had nothing to do with it so we still tipped her well. Never coming back to celebrate any more occasions after the treatment we had today at dinner. If you have children, unless you want to be scolded just for bringing a child to dinner, don't choose this restaurant. Additionally, to clearly implement a "no children" policy, you should explicitly state "adults only" or "no patrons under 18" on your website, reservation platforms, and social media. None of this is available and parents would gladly pay for a babysitter if the chefs table made this clear.
