It's been a minute since we stopped in at Longhorn. It's great food at a great value. Our waitress though I don't remember her name was pleasant, attentive, and ensured we had a great experience. We started with the Wild West Shrimp. I do not personally do spicy. These were perfect, the peppers were in the dish but easy to eat without. Definitely a large portion for sharing and tasty. For dinner I had the Filo's Filet the steak was absolutely cooked to perfection. Not pictured was the side salad that was served in abundance and very fresh. My son had the Renegade Sirloin another generous portion cooked to perfection. He ordered his dinner with a baked sweet potato and side salad. We completed dinner with their scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake. While I had leftovers from dinner I wasn't leaving without a few bites of this tasty creation. The restaurant was busy, however, we were seated in a reasonable amount of time, our server was pleasant and attentive. Great meal, great service, and all around great experience. My first time trying LongHorn Steakhouse because my friend from Waller who I haven't seen in a while wanted to go for dinner. I said okay and there we went. We got there during a busy dinner hour and the restaurant was half full. Initially everything was great. I was pushing him in a wheelchair and a young lady came to open the door for us. Then she disappeared. The hostess sat us by the entrance because there aren't any tables with big space for a wheelchair. She had to ask a male employee seemed to be a leader for approval. Not sure why there were so many lights and the restaurant was dark like a dungeon. I had a hard time seeing the menu. I ended up taking a picture and lightening it on my phone in order to read it. My friend already knew what to get. He seems to be a regular here. We ordered a strawberry lemonade for him and I got a cup of hot water. That water became a lifesaver. I called it holy water because my friend had to rinse the stained utensils in the cup. For me, I couldn't really see the dirty forks because it was too dark. They brought us a loaf of bread and a scoop of butter in a cup. I immediately looking for the utensils wrapped in a cloth napkin. There was a gigantic knife and 2 forks. I didn't see any butter knives. So, I cut the bread with steak knife and used it to spread butter. I really don't know how other customers would eat the bread. Because it's too dark in there. I ordered Lemon Garlic Chicken with Brussels Sprouts and mashed potatoes as sides. I guess the waitress had hearing problems. I got broccoli instead. I pointed at the menu especially said BRUSSELS not BROCCOLI. Hello? Do you need a hearing aid? I didn't complain because the chicken was f*cking salty as hell. So does the butter on the mashed potatoes. I think they trying to kill me. My friend seemed to like his dish. Except, he asked for a loaded potato and immediately changed to mashed potatoes. He got the big potato sitting in the plate and waitress rushed over to replace it with a mashed potato. He asked for steak sauce for his lamb chop. It was odd because it was Parmesan crusted already. I don't know if I would come back. Or, I'll order something that is easier to pronounce and with a big picture. And, I'll ask for steamed vegetables with butter on the side. read more

We've been twice now and both time the food and service was really good. We split a steak and the sides and they didn't make an issue of jt and even cut the stake and potato in half for us. I find the steaks are over seasoned so the second time we got lightly seasoned and it was perfect. The dining room can be really loud, even before peak times, between the open dining room, bar area, music, and kitchen noises. read more

The hostess was friendly and kind. Our table was clean. I had the 7 Pepper Sirloin Salad. The lettuce was fresh and the blue cheese dressing was good. The steak was cooked as ordered. My husband had the Chicken Fried Steak. It was average. The gravy was not good. It tasted like there was some type of gel ingredient added as a thickener. It just didn't taste like "real" gravy. We had a WONDERFUL lunch experience here! Years ago we dined at a different Longhorn Steakhouse location and we were not at all impressed. So, after we moved to Cypress in 2016, we never bothered to try this location. That was a mistake. Now, almost 10 years later, we finally tried it and completely love it! If you know LongHorn then you know it's a great place to grab a steak. The service is always awesome, restaurant is pretty much always clean. I had the fillet and lobster, the lobster was amazing and the steak was cooked to medium just like I like. I felt like the steak could've been more flavorful, but it was still good. My wife said the salmon and mash potatoes were really good. She didn't too much like the rice, but more of a personal preference. Everything was hot and fresh! read more

Menu was dirty, literal food fingerprints on the edges. Hostess dressed too casual (Spider-Man jacket). No crayons for kids menu. Waitress slid bread plate between menu pages (the dirty menu). My son's dinner plate had food under it so when I grabbed it I got someone's mashed potato's on my hand. Pepper shaker empty. To my knowledge, there is no restaurant in town that offers a 12-ounce ribeye steak with two sides for under $30. My steak exceeded my expectations, achieving the ideal temperature, well-seasoned, tender, and juicy. The crispy Brussels sprouts, tossed in a delectable honey-smoked butter sauce, and the loaded baked potato were exceptionally flavorful. First time going to LongHorn after hearing so many rave reviews online. Went on a Saturday night with a date. Starting with the good: Ambiance: 4/5 - Nice decor and clean, perfect dim lighting. While out of LongHorn's control, had to dock a point for so many customers dressed like slobs and multiple crying babies. Steak: 4/5 - Our ribeyes were cooked to a perfect medium rare, with char and grill marks. Well seasoned (maybe a tad heavy) and tasty. Docking a point because it seemed like a cheaper grade of steak (select). I understand this isn't a top tier steakhouse serving up dry aged prime cuts, but I'd pay a few extra bucks for a choice grade. They did the best they could with what they were working with. All Other Food: 3/5 - The fried onion appetizer was tasty but didn't come out hot, and the presentation was lacking compared to a blooming onion from Outback. The mac and cheese was very good, but a little too rich and slightly overly salted where I couldn't get through half of it. Loaded baked potato was fine, but the Caesar salad and bread and butter were very basic, if not below average. Service: 2/5 - I'm being gracious here, I'm just trying not to be mean by giving them a point extra. We were not greeted by our waiter, just "what do y'all want to drink?" My food came out with a missing side, and I never got it because our waiter never came back to check on us. Had to wave him down 20 min later for drink refills, where he refilled my iced tea with a flat soda. Waved him down 15 min later for the check; we were hoping to try the molten lava cake but at this point decided we just needed to leave as soon as possible. We tried to be understanding as he did look busy, but this was a failure on mgnt as he was spread out throughout the restaurant. Honestly it looked like everyone there was receiving bad service and we never saw a mgr walk the floor. There was a group of waiters talking on one end and a group of hostesses talking on another, while every table had empty glasses and dirty plates. Total mgnt failure. Graciously giving service 2/5 only because our waiter was never actually rude to us. I'm always willing to give a place a second chance, but I'll probably wait 6 months or so in hopes that they make some changes. read more

I got the 8 ounce sirloin steak cooked medium with a baked potato and added lobster tail. It was all really delicious especially the steak which was juicy. The lobster tail for me. The good: Got the filet and wife had a ribeye. Both were tender and cooked correctly. Bread is awesome, sides were good and service was good. The bad: Both steaks were so salty that we could barely eat them. Scraped off what we could. We were the last people in there and they were about to close. I told the waitress that if they weren't closing I would have sent both back. She said "Oh, sorry about that." And we paid the bill and left. No mgr came over and no discount. Called the next day and told the manager what happened. He said "We tell our cooks to go heavy on the seasoning and they don't get a couple of compliments a week, they aren't putting enough on." I was shocked. When I order a high end steak, I want to taste the steak with just a little if any seasoning. The strawberry and cream shortcake was amazing. The service walking in was off we were not seated right away and the restaurant was not busy at all. The waiter once seated was very kind and attentive he kept our drinks full the ambiance was casual and calm but the bar area was extremely loud for a restaurant. A little too loud for my liking. It was my first time ordering steak at a restaurant, I'd always been skeptical but I'm pleased to say I was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere is comfortable and despite being busy our waitress was attentive + food didn't take long to come. The Wild West shrimp is a must order, perfectly fried and the flavors are amazing. I ordered the Flo's Filet with a Lobster Tail cooked to medium. It was so tender, almost like butter and the grill taste was lovely. Yes, it was my birthday but I wanted to celebrate my best friend of over 31 years! She is more of a sister than anything. I surprised her with a Coach bag and a late lunch. Cause, why not?! My first time at a Longhorn and my last. Salad was good. The potato was good. But, we came for a steak. I got the rib eye, which should be a safe bet anywhere. The meat was tough and lacked flavor. But, the worst thing was the seasoning. It was pepper based and absolutely overpowered any meat flavor. Service was good but our server didn't check with us very often. She was more intent on talking to other servers rather than just look over at her tables. read more

Not sure what all the hype for this place. And obviously, I am a picky yelper. But I'm always looking for clean bathrooms, good prompt service, and food that looks like it's authentic and bountiful. Came in for Father's Day, I'll say it's definitely a downside that chain restaurants like these don't accept reservations. We waited around 45 minutes for a table. Beyond that, I can definitely say that their waiters are always really nice and I've never had a bad experience. Our waitress this day was very sweet and pretty attentive given the fact that the restaurant was absolutely packed. As an appetizer we ordered the Texas Tonion, it's our go to and it never disappoints. My dad ordered their 7oz salmon, rice, and two sweet potatoes, he really enjoyed his meal. Those sweet potatoes are addictive. My mom and sister both ordered their lemon garlic chicken and it had a really nice flavor. I had the grilled shrimp and they were fantastic. The flavor was really good. I also had their corn and it was good too! We were just about to finish up our dinner and the manager gifted us a cheesecake which was super nice! Wow, first time here, this location is out front the Premier Outlet Mall in Cypress, Tx. Plenty of parking. Walked inside and really large with plenty of seating and staff. Greeted by staff with smiles and good vibes/energy, must have a good manager/team. We both ordered Renegade 6oz sirloin with 8 large shrimp on skewers and over pilaf rice, you also get a salad and a side all for under $21....not sure how they can do this without losing money. Cook on the steak was perfect we ordered medium (I always suggest to people to order 1 level higher to get the level you want.) to get medium-rare....perfect red center and warm and also tender and seasoned perfect All the sides were also very good. Still cannot believe the cost $21.79 They also have mobile pay which is nice, you scan the QR code and it is very easy....and staff get alerted that you mobile paid so no concern walking out wondering if they think your leaving without paying..lol.. This is the second time in the last month that we have had horrible service. The food and ambience is fantastic, but unfortunately, the weight staff that we have experienced has been subpar. The last time we were there we serviced was not great slow to refill our drinks, took a very long time to take order and the waitress was not attentive, not much personality either. This time we sat down and our waitress did not take out drink order for 19 min we decided to get up and leave. We explained to the manager what happened and we were asked "what can I do about it" and then let us walk with zero care in our eyes. This was my first time at Longhorn and I'd definitely go back again! The bread and butter was tasty and fresh! As for the caesar salad I didn't like it. To me, the dressing had too many flavors going on. It was sweet and garlicky, I prefer more of a savory milder caesar. I subbed the salad for a ranch salad and I've came to the conclusion that the dressings there don't taste authentic. I don't have to order that again. As for the main entrées, the parmesan crusted chicken was delicious I did my research to see what the best item was and I agree with the people!!! Try it, the chicken alone is seasoned and juicy. The parmesan crusted topping was so crispy and melty. 10/10 recommend that meal. I didn't order the Ribeye but my dad did and didn't like it. He said it was over cooked and bland. I tasted it and he was right, I'm not sure if they always taste this way but it wasn't good at this location. I want to add that the service here wasn't the best. I don't want to blame it on the server, I think he might've been just very busy but he wasn't as attentive as we'd like.
