Chicken sandwich with a side order of wings

Seco d time go I g here and doesn't disappoint. Freshly made food. Great service. Clean apot

Honestly, the food here is amazing. I was craving kbbq, but I didn't feel like driving 30 minutes through traffic so I searched for a nearby spot and this popped up. I ordered a steak kbbq bowl with Kim chi, fried rice and an egg. And holy cow, everything was delicious. I ordered a large bowl and it could probably get me 2 meals. The steak was well seasoned and spiced. The Kim chi wasn't too overwhelming and was crunchy and fresh. The fried rice wasn't greasy and moist. I also ordered the Korean fried wings and the kim chi fries and they were also huge portioned. I could feed a family of 4 with what I ordered.

I ordered to go and it was ready within 10 mins. I ordered 20 bone in wings and large onion rings. For the wings I had half spicy Korean bbq and the other flavor honey garlic . I was a tad disappointed that the wings weren't "Korean" battered and double fried. I think I was expecting it since it was a Korean restaurant. Overall flavors were good, not too spicy or sweet. Wings were big in size and the onion rings were large and hot. The restaurant was very clean and well lit when I arrived. Parking is no issues either. There's plenty of parking spots. If you're looking for something different fr your regular fast food, this place will definitely do a great job delivering. Looks like they have other items such as bowls to try as well.

Spicy Cheesesteak

Very nice people and clean restaurant. Lots of takeout and dashers while we are in. I ordered the spicy cheesesteak and my daughter ordered the 4 pc tenders. Huge tenders. We used a Facebook BOGO offer. I would eat here again for sure and maybe try something I'm not used to.

These pictures are from our first visit. We have returned many many times. We absolutely love the food is always very plenty serving. I go over and over the fact that the service is always fast and kind. The young black guy who checked us in and out is always kind and working every time. The small area but it's very nice seem very clean. I really appreciate the service and also I'm just love the food.

Spicy Korean bbq cheesesteak w/ fries

So my take on this place may be a little bias because I'm used to authentic Korean food; however, the food was delicious I'd give it a solid 6/10 The ambiance of the restaurant was basic, there was nothing spectacular about the place. I'd give it 4.5/10 The service was where they are lacking the most. No welcome to chimac, no thanks for coming in, no come back again. It was here's your food, and that's it. So that definitely needs improvement. 2/10.

Beef bowl and wings combo

The service was great and fast with the food. There were seatings and colorfulness inside! Not too loud with people. For food, I got the beef bowl and six pieces of wings combo. For the beef bowl, you can add different toppings for free or for an additional price. You can choose two flavors or one flavor for the wings. As for the flavors, I got the hot lemon pepper and honey bbq. My fav was the honey bbq! It was sweet and savory! It's definitely very filling but I think it's well worth the amount you get. I would come here again to try out the other choices!

Really great place! Got one of the bowls with fried rice, spicy steak, kimchi, cabbage, onion and potstickers. Also got the bone-in lemon pepper wings. It was a huge amount of food, potstickers were crispy, wings were piping hot and juicy. Definitely recommend this place. Servicer was helpful and explained the ordering process. Food was made quickly too.

I have dined many times at the Chimac on FM 1960 near Jones Road and recently tried their new location here. It's easy to find at the end cap of a strip center with plenty of parking spaces. Inside it's small. Very rectangular in shape being narrow but deep. It has a self ordering kiosk near the entrance along with regular counter service. The kitchen is open and you can watch them make your meal. They have a self serve fountain drink station but unfortunately no kool aid like the 1960 location. I ordered the cheesesteak combo with onion rings for $13.89. That day for lunch they were busy and it took about 20 minutes for my food to be ready. My meal was identical to their other location and that is a compliment. The cheesesteak was delicious and cheesy with plenty of beef, mushrooms and onions. The bread is kind of spongy which makes the sandwich more filling. The onion rings were hot and good with a medium thickness batter. With my soft drink it was a very good $15 meal w/tax. Chimac (at any location) serves quality food at reasonable prices. I always enjoy dining at Chimac.

Nut allergy note: I don't think they use nuts in anything, but I did have a moderate allergic reaction triggered somewhere. I'm not sure if it was too intense sesame or something else that may have been cross-contaminated/a rare "May Contain" actually having issues, but I would be careful. Fast Korean is becoming popularized and I'm all for it! I'm very familiar with Chi'Lantro from my time in Austin and their grand opening in the Heights, so I was excited to try Chimac. Parking: Plenty in the strip mall type area. I came in around 2PM on Sunday and there were a few people there and no line. The ordering process was very straightforward. I ordered the spicy steak with all add-ons and Lo Mein, and chose Lemon Pepper and Spicy Korean BBQ for my sauces for the wings. I also got a rice bowl with chicken as I intended to share the meal with friends. The lo mein and wings were easily enough to feed two people. I did think that the wings were on the smaller side, but even after traveling 20 minutes they stayed relatively crispy (I did open the box so that they don't steam-soften). I thought of the sauces, the Chimac sauce was the best to go with the meal. If Chimac opened in the Heights, I'm sure they would be very successful! I hope that a location closer to me opens at some point.

KBBQ Chicken Bowl

Always been wanting to try Chimac since passing it on 1960, but since new location opened closer to home, it was a no brainer to try it for dinner one day. Though typically I would've ordered the wings, this time I elected to get something "healthier" - ie: one of the Korean-style bowls. Using the website to order was quick, easy to navigate, and pay. Order pick up was fast and seamless. I ordered the kbbq chicken bowl with extra meat. Extra meat is definitely a must if you want to have a full feeling as there is a lot of rice at the bottom of that bowl. The caramelized onions were still crunchy, didn't like that. The chicken was cooked well, but there should be more sauce used within the bowl - it would have made the dish taste a lot better. Next time - I guess I should just stick with the wings.

Very friendly staff. Educational. Explained the different options and led us through what we needed to order. These are family recipes. The owner and his brother learned from their aunt who has an award-winning Korean restaurant in Seattle. The wings are world class as good as any wing restaurant in the country. I tried to keep the spice level down by ordering just a steak bowl over fried rice. Is really quite good, and the pineapple based Chimac sauce that he suggested improved the flavor. The kimchi fries were different because they were coated with sweet corn and cheese in addition to the fermined cabbage, it was an interesting flavor combination. Unique desserts onclude an apple poe eggroll! If you like Korean or want to become more Korean Savvy, give these guys a try! Be sure to add. Some soy sauce.

We had already been to the other location and loved it, so I was excited they're in Cypress now! The food was delicious and fresh. One bowl is enough to feed two people without a doubt. Fast and friendly service.

Service was awesome and pretty efficient. The employee let me sample their different chicken options so I could taste the difference, since the menu didn't really explain much when I looked ahead of time. The K'Pop Chicken (cute pun) is a popcorn chicken version of Korean fried chicken with a sticky glaze that has a bit of a kick to it, while the Soy Glazed Chicken is (what I think is) their grilled option, which tastes exactly as it sounds. I definitely recommend the K'Pop chicken, but both were tasty. Ingredient options are fun but REALLY fusion-y... obviously, don't come here expecting any type of authentic experience. But I did love that the options for the base include japchae, since I don't have the opportunity to order this on this side of town. They have a fair drinks selection but I wish they could add a Korean-inspired option like sikhye if they really want to keep the theme cohesive. I don't foresee myself coming often since it's on the pricier side, but due to the convenience and variety, I will definitely be back again for future work lunches. - Ambiance: 4/5 - Food: 4/5 - Service: 5/5

The table we chose was clean, but the seats and floor weren't. The host kindly cleaned it up for us. We sat for quite a while before asking a staff member for water. We also requested lemons, but they never came, so we let it go. We ordered large bowls of chicken pho, and that was definitely the highlight. The portions were generous and packed with flavor, with a great balance of chicken and noodles. Midway through the meal, we ordered lemonade. The host didn't seem too happy about it and went to the back for a while. It seemed like it might be made from powder since she grabbed ice from the front machine. Then we found out it was $5, which was surprising. Service-wise, it felt a bit off at times, but you could tell they were trying. We did share a few laughs with the male waiter, which helped the experience. At checkout, we got a percentage off for Mr. Pho's 7th anniversary at this particular location, which was a nice touch.

K Tea Boba - Dinner?

I found myself on the opposite of the city for business and wanted to explore out some places…read morebefore I head back home. One place that was close by and a suggestion, K Tea Boba. A very interesting concept to have both bánh mì, Korean wings and boba. I was drawn to visit and noticed it is located in a bit of a smaller business center across the park. A very casual spot with a fair amount of seating. One thing that was convenient is having a kiosk for card transaction which not often businesses have. As a first visit I was a bit more selective to try a mix of items. I did purchase two drinks: Vietnamese coffee and frozen tiramisu, 12 piece korean wings with fries, and a combination bánh mì. Usually I would speak on the drinks but did not really get to try it when I got home. But for the food, I did try. The Korean wings I enjoyed. If you are familiar with the red pepper paste gochujang, this was the sauce. It is a sweet spicy flavor and was also garnished with sesame seeds. You can choose with mild or spicy but I did mild. Very flavorful and a bit of a sticky sauce so napkins are good to have around. The combination bánh mì to me seemed much smaller than I usually am accustomed to. But what is nice is the filling. The contents are more generous portions. This will be a Vietnamese ham and pork sandwich, picked carrots, radish, pate, Vietnamese mayo, and jalapeno. I enjoyed it and having the sandwich is a good choice especially when I included an egg too. Overall, what I can say for K Tea Boba, this would be in my dark horse list of places I have tried. It is very discreet, you could potentially pass it up, but does have a lot to prove. I was a bit taken back because of the previous pictures people have posted of the business last year but not a problem. The owners are nice too. But very last point, I have had a fair share of bánh mì growing up and it is a bit challenging when I am not too far from "Chinatown/Little Saigon" Bellaire. The Vietnamese baguette seemed more dense and not as crispy. I am used to it being more light and airy with that nice crunch crispy outside. Just a small observation but not a deal breaker. On my end, I will heavily consider to dine in more often to fully appreciate everything while it is fresh versus taking it home for convenience but may not be as good after the drive home. *additional add on to the review* (3/20/25) This morning i did try the Vietnamese coffee on my way to work. Just like bánh mì, for me I have also had different varieties of how it is made. K Tea is a nice flavor, not too strong but I am tasting more of a hazelnut after taste. A bit more milky maybe to balance out the bold coffee flavor. It is good but not what I am accustomed to, where it is more potent and more darker in color.
