The food was good, flavorful, and satisfying, but I would not say it stood out as amazing or the best Mexican food I have had. I would compare it to the Chili's of Mexican food. It gets the job done, it tastes good, but it is not super authentic or unforgettable. What really stood out was the service. It was truly extraordinary. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel welcoming. That level of service is honestly the main reason I would come back. Price wise, it felt a little high for what you get. I cannot say it was much better than something like Chipotle, even though it was about double the price. That said, the environment makes a difference. The restaurant has a fun, lively vibe, and it looks like they have great drinks and margaritas, even though I did not try any this time. Overall, I would recommend coming here for the atmosphere and excellent service. The food is solid and dependable, just not top tier Mexican cuisine. We got empanadas for appetizers and the fajita bowls. As my friends don't eat meat they asked for grilled veggies and they had them! They even let us put them in our fajita bowls. I highly recommend! The waitlist for the win on Valentine's Day!!! We were originally headed somewhere else but everywhere we went had the longest lines so I'm guessing everyone decided to take their sweethearts out for V Day. Decided to get on Gringo's waitlist and we were around the 50th group on the list but we were 20 minutes out. Kept refreshing and the line was clearing out quickly. Got there and checked in (very important to do that even if you're on the waitlist) and I'd say 10 minutes later we got seated. Always very friendly staff but they can get side tracked easily at the front because this location stays busy. Lots of seating though even outdoors and during the cold months they have the heaters on outdoors. I've always loved the colorful decor and all the greenery. They greet you with complimentary chips with green and red salsa. The green salsa is one of my family's favorites. They had a limited menu because of the holiday which is a slight bummer especially if you're a picky eater but that's definitely not a problem with me because I love to eat! The shrimp tacos I had were packed!!! Shrimp was falling out as I was eating but unfortunately one of the shrimp still had the skin on which I easily just picked it out as I was eating but having ate here plenty of times I've noticed the shrimp plates could be cooked just a little longer but I did enjoy my meal. Came in today with a large party. The young blond hostess was very sweet, didn't catch her name but she was wearing glasses. However another lady names Rosa walked up and seemed very upset about our large party to the point of she was slamming menus down on the hosted table trying to count out 13 of them . She was also one of our servers including a very nice young man named Matt who was wonderful. We had 10 at a table and 3 of us in the booth. When Rosa brought our drinks she threw the coasters at the table along with the straws. This was a business putting and I was so embarrassed by this behavior as we had my whole team and one of our global partners with us . A huge Mexican restaurant with great vibes! We came for lunch in a Friday around 1, and we were sat immediately in a pretty big booth. There were tons of seating: floor, booth, outside,bar. The menu is pretty big also with a lot of variety. I got the large Queso to start. It was yellow queso, which isn't my favorite, but it fed four of us. As an entree, I got the chicken con queso. This came with an avocado, rice, beans, and two tortillas, and I got the queso on the side. The grilled chicken was delicious. My friends got the enchiladas and bang bang shrimp tacos, which both looked pretty good. There is also an ice cream machine, where you can get free ice cream throughout your time! Our service was good as our waitress was attentive and brought us drink refills without having to be asked (UNHEARD OF THESE DAYS) and received help from teammate to deliver our food. Been to other locations. And always have good service and food is consistent. Plenty of parking and plenty of tables inside and out. I went ahead and used the waitlist on their website that works thru OpenTable. I got on waitlist 30 mins before my arrival time. I was #38 but once I arrived at 7:10 and checked in I was #9 and my total wait time was maybe 10 mins. I highly recommend everyone do the waitlist to be in line before you get there.. I ordered the pollo marisco which is chicken breast, shrimp and crawfish tails and rice, cucumber salad and beans.. my date ordered a similar chicken dish named Tampico Really good food, portions are good and prices reasonable...total was $48 before tip..but we didn't get any adult beverages just sweet tea and strawberry lemonade. The house margaritas are always my go to for adult beverages. I always get half frozen half on the rocks 10/ 10 Fish tacos were good. I requested flour instead of corn tortillas. My only complaint is they put both avocado slices on one taco, and they were stingy on the avocado. 8/10 The mix enchilada plate was also good. Didn't care for Anyel's service today. You know, when one (or two) ask for ICE Tea, the idea is we want ice in our tea glass, not 3 or 4 small melted cubes. And when we ask for a glass of ice only so we can correct the ice issue, we would like it in the next few minutes, not 10-15 minutes later. We weren't the only table this happened to (no ice in the tea, requested ice). The restaurant was not busy at the time but the entire experience seemed to slow. We were there almost 1-1/2 hours. I had a disappointing experience at this establishment that left me feeling uncomfortable and questioning whether I was being treated fairly. I asked our server(Tamar) for two empty water cups so that I could pour water and mint leaves into them something I've done many times at other restaurants without issue. Instead of fulfilling the simple request, the server "assumed" we were requesting the cups to pour our water down drinks in and seemed visibly bothered when I followed up and stated it's to put my water and mint in. I stated my why and he mentioned a policy. I requested for the manager. A short while later, the manager brought over two cups already filled with water ignoring the specific request for empty cups. The interaction felt unnecessarily tense, and I couldn't help but notice that other tables around us were not met with this kind of resistance for basic requests. I'm left wondering why... This may seem like a small issue to some, but it's about how people are made to feel. A hospitality business should prioritize respect and inclusivity. This situation didn't feel like either. I hope the management including Norman the acting manager at the time reflects on how these interactions can come across and considers training to ensure that all customers are treated with the same level of dignity and courtesy regardless of who they are. read more

They also have a Pollo Marisco bowl - the bowl is like the lunch portion. It has chicken breast, crawfish, seafood sauce, and rice and beans. It's delicious! The chicken taquitos plate is really good. It's 5 to 8 taquitos, rice, beans and the fixins' for tacos: guacamole, cheese, sour cream, pico de gallo. Delicious plate! Their queso is usually good. One time the queso was broken. Chunky and seizing. But we've had it plenty of times and it's delicious. The frijoles borracho is hit or miss. Most times it tastes old. Let's start with the service. Stephen was amazing! A true gem! This man needs a raise. He is very knowledgeable, attentive (not to the point of annoyance) engaging and very funny. Now let's talk about the food. We started with the Queso loco dip. It's queso (obvi lol) ground beef, with guacamole and sour cream. Stephen suggested that we get the dip with the chicharrones instead of the chips. This is something that I would have overlooked on the menu. He spoke so fondly of it that we had to give it a go. Let me just say I'm so glad we did! The chicharrones are made in house and perfectly seasoned. Adding the queso dip with the sour cream and guacamole was the chefs kiss. The perfect bite. I really hope this is a permanent thing because I will be back lol. For dinner, I ordered the chicken enchiladas. They are pretty good for Tex Mex. Salsa style Chicken, rolled in white corn tortillas with poblano cream sauce. Mexican rice and choice of beans on the side. I could absolutely have it again. For dessert I had the tres Leches cake with a sugared pecan on top. This was very good. The food, service and this location overall gets an A from me. The restaurant itself is very nice. I must say coming from South Carolina and going for Mexican the food was amazing! I got the seafood dish with shrimp and crawfish and I must say it was the bomb! The place was packed at 3:15 in the afternoon on a Saturday but the restaurant was packed and the ambiance was incredible. I will say the only bad thing I saw was the seaters didn't take into consideration we were 4 large people and put us in a booth so we were very squished.
