Fajita bowl - combo with Side of Veggies
    Abigail R.

I came to meet some friends for lunch. We sat at the back table and it was perfect for chatting and hearing each other. The restaurant is extremely loud inside. Our food was delicious! We got empanadas for appetizers and the fajita bowls. As my friends don't eat meat they asked for grilled veggies and they had them! They even let us put them in our fajita bowls. I highly recommend! The service was a little shifty and not sure why. Between waiters, servers and I think a manager came by, our tortillas were duplicated and then one side of veggies never made it. Not a deal breaker, but many some floor flow of serving training may help.

We met some friends for dinner at Gringos. Seating was a little slow but service was good once we got seated. They had a small crowd due to being Thursday night. We ordered drinks, beer and margaritas and also queso and empanadas. Both apps were delicious and we ate our weight in the chips and salsa. My favorite is the green salsa. My meal was pollo Mariscos bowl with no beans. It was very filling, especially after the beer and chips and salsa. I asked for tortillas to go. My meal was enough for lunch the next day. They forgot my fresh jalapeño. My husband ordered beef tacos and he said they were very good although he is super picky. We also ordered Queso to go. The kids had ice cream cones on the way out which is a nice treat.

Just had the BEST to-go experience at Gringo's! The amazing Kaytie who took care of me (super lovely, total hard worker and go-getter) was absolutely fantastic--friendly, fast, and made everything perfect. Hands down the highlight of my day. If you're grabbing food to go, ask for her--you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend this spot!

The waitlist for the win on Valentine's Day!!! We were originally headed somewhere else but everywhere we went had the longest lines so I'm guessing everyone decided to take their sweethearts out for V Day. Decided to get on Gringo's waitlist and we were around the 50th group on the list but we were 20 minutes out. Kept refreshing and the line was clearing out quickly. Got there and checked in (very important to do that even if you're on the waitlist) and I'd say 10 minutes later we got seated. Always very friendly staff but they can get side tracked easily at the front because this location stays busy. Lots of seating though even outdoors and during the cold months they have the heaters on outdoors. I've always loved the colorful decor and all the greenery. They greet you with complimentary chips with green and red salsa. The green salsa is one of my family's favorites. They had a limited menu because of the holiday which is a slight bummer especially if you're a picky eater but that's definitely not a problem with me because I love to eat! The shrimp tacos I had were packed!!! Shrimp was falling out as I was eating but unfortunately one of the shrimp still had the skin on which I easily just picked it out as I was eating but having ate here plenty of times I've noticed the shrimp plates could be cooked just a little longer but I did enjoy my meal. My granddaughter loves the free ice cream which is a machine at the front as you leave and you help yourself. They have cones and then vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Great way to wrap up the meal. Also don't miss out on their happy hour M-F 4pm-6pm!!!

A huge Mexican restaurant with great vibes! We came for lunch in a Friday around 1, and we were sat immediately in a pretty big booth. There were tons of seating: floor, booth, outside, bar. The menu is pretty big also with a lot of variety. I got the large Queso to start. It was yellow queso, which isn't my favorite, but it fed four of us. As an entree, I got the chicken con queso. This came with an avocado, rice, beans, and two tortillas, and I got the queso on the side. The grilled chicken was delicious. My friends got the enchiladas and bang bang shrimp tacos, which both looked pretty good. There is also an ice cream machine, where you can get free ice cream throughout your time! Our waitress was ok... the food took a good minute to come out. But, she was fine. I would come back again!

Gringos is my go to spot when I want something filling and delicious! Haven't been disappointed yet. Nice ambience, god convo and good food. Service was good as well. No complaints.

Been to other locations. And always have good service and food is consistent. Plenty of parking and plenty of tables inside and out. I went ahead and used the waitlist on their website that works thru OpenTable. I got on waitlist 30 mins before my arrival time. I was #38 but once I arrived at 7:10 and checked in I was #9 and my total wait time was maybe 10 mins. I highly recommend everyone do the waitlist to be in line before you get there.. I ordered the pollo marisco which is chicken breast, shrimp and crawfish tails and rice, cucumber salad and beans.. my date ordered a similar chicken dish named Tampico Really good food, portions are good and prices reasonable...total was $48 before tip..but we didn't get any adult beverages just sweet tea and strawberry lemonade. Will be back again

I'm so sorry I forgot to take a picture of my food, but it was good very good. The service was ok our waiter could have been more attentive to our needs as far as clearing the table when needed. The ambiance was nice we were sitting outside it was very windy but nice I will definitely return and recommend.

It was very busy however, we didn't have to wait to be seated. It took a little longer than average to get our food. I would say about 40 minutes. However, our waiter was very good and efficient. The house margaritas are always my go to for adult beverages. I always get half frozen half on the rocks 10/ 10 Fish tacos were good. I requested flour instead of corn tortillas. My only complaint is they put both avocado slices on one taco, and they were stingy on the avocado. 8/10 The mix enchilada plate was also good. We put queso on it instead of the red sauce.9/10 Charro beans were also good 7/10

Fajitas and parrilladas, molcajetes, enchies, ceviches, caldos... they serve an array of Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine. Staff is always friendly and energetic--it's def a neighborhood restaurant! And they have a drive thru. I believe they do tequila tastings/tequila dinners. I've only had a few margaritas there, and unfortch haven't really liked 'em (a lil too sweet, even the skinny marg). Given all the shortcuts that so many restaurants take, this place deserves a "5" just for the fact that they do make everything themselves. And our meal was really excellent as well and a very fair price. We started with a Cheese quesadilla and our special request to have onions in there as well. It was good. For brunch we ordered the $12 Concha French Toast because Mr. Picky has a sweet tooth. That is Concha bread soaked in vanilla bean custard, topped with caramel, toasted coconut, cinnamon, whipped cream and berries. Mr. Picky didn't even need the side syrup. I like savory items and I so ordered the El Valle which was also $12. Two cheese enchiladas which I topped with sunny side up eggs, served with white rice and refried black beans. I added seasoned ground beef into the enchiladas and that was an extra $2. I requested white cheese enchiladas, don't know if that was standard or not. I am not a huge bean lover, but I have to tell you that the refried black beans on that plate were delicious. Very filling dish, tasted really good and it was a great value. Brunch is served Saturday & Sunday from 9am-3pm. I think this is the best breakfast/brunch I've had in the past two years. Generous amount of food and I couldn't finish it all. They have a bakery section and we walked over to look and see what we wanted to have for dessert. We couldn't decide between the interesting-looking carrot cake, the praline cheesecake or flan on top of chocolate cake. So we ordered and shared all three! LOL. Our favorites were the carrot cake and the praline cheesecake. I think this is the best breakfast/brunch we've had in the past two years. Generous amount of food and I couldn't finish it all. Five stars for making everything themselves, waiter Eduardo was very helpful, and we're definitely coming back soon!!!

"My Homework Turned Into Date Night (with Myself)" 02-14-26…read more I came here on Valentine's Day to do a writing assignment my professor gave us, and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food all the same. When I walked in, the hostess offered to seat me in the private party area. I declined and told her, "I'm here for a writing assignment," and asked if I could sit somewhere with a clear view of the bar. She didn't hesitate. She told me to follow her and led me to a booth with a clean, perfect shot of the bar, front row without having to climb onto a stool. She handed me a menu and told me to enjoy my evening. The bar itself was shaped like an oblong oval ring with gold seats lined up like little lifeboats, almost like a ship's bridge. Above it, about ten flat screens hovered in an oval formation, suspended in the air. Upside-down margarita glasses and champagne flutes hung overhead like delicate chandeliers in an expensive mansion. The bar area was filled with couples and solo diners enjoying the screens, sipping margaritas and champagne, and crunching on complimentary chips and salsa. Customer service was fantastic. My server, Ale, was highly energetic, lively, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I felt very well taken care of during this dining experience, which was supposed to just be a writing assignment, but it turned into a rewarding little night out. The complimentary chips and salsa were also pretty good. The atmosphere was vibrating at a high-energy level. There was loud laughter and conversation all around, the sound of dishes clanging in the kitchen, servers moving back and forth, and bussers scanning the room for abandoned tables to clean. For my appetizer, I ordered the shrimp crab cake along with a Cucumber Melon Margarita on the rocks. Both were absolutely delicious. The crab cake was mouthwatering and delectable, and that margarita was refreshingly fruity and strong, so good I ordered a second one. For my entrée, I ordered the beef fajita plate for one with cilantro rice, charro beans, and corn tortillas. I also added a side of the La Viva Shrimp (bacon-wrapped). I don't eat pork often, so I peeled the bacon off, and even without it, the shrimp was exceptionally tantalizing, full of bold seafood flavor. My entire plate was the bee's knees. I can't even explain how good the food was. Food Ratings Shrimp Crab Cake: 5/5 La Viva Shrimp: 5/5 Beef Fajitas: 5/5 Cilantro Rice: 5/5 Charro Beans: 5/5 Overall, La Viva Cantina is an upbeat, lively spot serving delicious comida with great customer service and an inviting atmosphere.
