New Tex Mex spot in cypress . I was skeptical about finding good Tex Mex/ Mexican food in the area . Tavos had been on my list of new food to try. Good portions , great service and great food. The fajitas for two was fast , delicious and a great price . Chips and salsa were complimentary and tasty.

This is a hidden gem tucked in the corner off Fry rd. Y'all it is worth the try. We really enjoyed it. They have been open about 5 months. The food was good and the service was as well. We were asked several times if we needed anything and were very well taken care of. The ambiance was very family friendly and I really encourage you to give it a try.

Tavo's is probably one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area! Everything is delicious!! For appetizers, you get free chips and salsa verde, but the Stuffed Avocado is a must order! You also need to order fajitas of course...our favorite is the Fajitas Monterrey combo. It's so flavorful, cheesy, with sautéed veggies, and the beef and chicken is so tender! The drinks are strong, and they also have Margarita flights if you can't decide on just one! Fun atmosphere and service in a quaint restaurant space. Great place to go to for a weekend evening dinner in the burbs!

First I'll say that Mexican restaurants in Houston are on every corner so its difficult to stand out. That said, there was nothing BAD about this restaurant however there are a few things that knocked down the rating in my opinion. I went to the Cypress location on a Friday night and I really wanted to like this place however, it was quite crowded and there seemed to be too many tables packed into the space. Also the service was a bit slow, we ordered the Queso Blanco and requested Jalapenos to go with it, we had to ask 4 times before we finally got them and by then the dish was half gone. Also I will say in Fajitas a la Poblano it was very difficult to find any Poblanos. I am a fellow service industry owner so I know how much impact online reviews can make and at the same time, I rely heavily on Yelp reviews when selecting places to try for my own personal choices so I try to be fair and send good reviews when deserved while pointing out specifics for improvement that the owners can use as feedback. Again, nothing was bad, but it was just an Average Mexican food experience, nothing stellar or someplace I would say you "have to try". Added pictures for your benefit. Give it a try and draw your own conclusions.

The cheery atmosphere set the tone for the food, beverages, and service. Our family was more than impressed by the quality and flavor of our entrees. The best quesabirria ever! They tacos were generously filled with flavorful meats and the consommé was exceptional. Rich but not greasy. My chili relleno was huge and delicious. Our adult beverages were excellent. Servers were attentive but not intrusive. One of our best dining experiences.

This place was AMAZING!!!! We were a family of 3 and every single one of our orders were DELICIOUS! I had the ay ay fajitas. The flavor was exceptional! The best fajitas I've ever eaten! They are extremely spicy but they were amazing! My man got the Tavos fajita and they were AMAZING as well! He absolutely loved them...I did as well! My daughter got cheese enchiladas! Huge enchiladas and very good! We had beef queso...also great! This place gives huge portions! Watermelon margaritas were OFF THE CHARTS! We will return to try other things but, maaaaan it was a great lunch!

This place just opened 3 week ago in our area so we were excited to try it out! Hidden within a small shopping strip, and it did not disappoint! The food had an authentic feel and tasty! Their best asset however I'd DEFINITELY the margaritas! They have 2 FULL page of endless choices! And not only offering margaritas - there's daiquiri options and wine/beer as well! Bonus: happy hour all day on Mondays and Tuesdays! Loved the kind and attentive wait staff ! Very hopeful this place has a permanent spot in our community ! I'll be there every Monday to do my part

Over priced and disgusting! Under cooked onions and meat was room temp. You would think a taco would be at least warm.

Shout out to the kitchen for accepting our table of 16 before they were closing. (We called…read morebeforehand to verify their hours, and they warmly welcomed us, FYI.) Fajitas and parrilladas, molcajetes, enchies, ceviches, caldos... they serve an array of Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine. Staff is always friendly and energetic--it's def a neighborhood restaurant! And they have a drive thru. I believe they do tequila tastings/tequila dinners. I've only had a few margaritas there, and unfortch haven't really liked 'em (a lil too sweet, even the skinny marg). Though, my fam loves their margs.

Shocker -- they make EVERYTHING here, including the desserts we selected from their bakery section…read moreand thought were really good!!! Given all the shortcuts that so many restaurants take, this place deserves a "5" just for the fact that they do make everything themselves. And our meal was really excellent as well and a very fair price. We started with a Cheese quesadilla and our special request to have onions in there as well. It was good. For brunch we ordered the $12 Concha French Toast because Mr. Picky has a sweet tooth. That is Concha bread soaked in vanilla bean custard, topped with caramel, toasted coconut, cinnamon, whipped cream and berries. Mr. Picky didn't even need the side syrup. I like savory items and I so ordered the El Valle which was also $12. Two cheese enchiladas which I topped with sunny side up eggs, served with white rice and refried black beans. I added seasoned ground beef into the enchiladas and that was an extra $2. I requested white cheese enchiladas, don't know if that was standard or not. I am not a huge bean lover, but I have to tell you that the refried black beans on that plate were delicious. Very filling dish, tasted really good and it was a great value. Brunch is served Saturday & Sunday from 9am-3pm. I think this is the best breakfast/brunch I've had in the past two years. Generous amount of food and I couldn't finish it all. They have a bakery section and we walked over to look and see what we wanted to have for dessert. We couldn't decide between the interesting-looking carrot cake, the praline cheesecake or flan on top of chocolate cake. So we ordered and shared all three! LOL. Our favorites were the carrot cake and the praline cheesecake. I think this is the best breakfast/brunch we've had in the past two years. Generous amount of food and I couldn't finish it all. Five stars for making everything themselves, waiter Eduardo was very helpful, and we're definitely coming back soon!!!
