I've been coming here for years and they are the best, huge tacos in Houston. Such great flavor in all the ones I've had. I ordered through uber eats and was super excited to try as i've seen great reviews on yelp as well as the photos! However, upon tasting I wasn't impressed. Immediately when I opened my tacos I noticed more potatoes than anything. I ordered 2 Taco Telge which comes with eggs, bacon, potatoes and cheese. There was hardly any bacon, eggs or cheese. The tacos were bland and just overall flavorless. The salsas helped along with some cilantro and onions but overall I didn't enjoy. Oh my my my!!!!!! Let's start with saying, it's a mad house in there because these customers really know what they're looking for when it comes to breakfast, lunch, or just the tacos. So far the place is growing and their doing construction, so the ambience will be excellent in no time as they continue( they even have seating outside with fans, protecting us from this Texas heat). I was watching the service before getting to the register and making decisions is hard enough on what to really get. I got the fajitas on homemade corn tortillas and the Barbacoa on flour. Now for the owners having a tortilla lady in the back is a genus move because you want good quality food, especially every bite. NOT ONE BITE RIPPED THE TORTILLAS. That was exciting tbh. As for the meat, seasoning were really good to the fajita especially but the Barbacoa, I was really looking forward to. Not even greasy! Salsa verde wasn't too hot, so every bite was enjoyable. As for the horchata, I recommend adding some more cinnamon in it. Also I do recommend giving limes out with the tacos because that's another important ingredient. But I will surely be back and I'm coming from SUGAR LAND! Y'all are now in my top four for tacos as a foodie. read more

Take it from a girl from South Texas - this place is legit!! If you dine in, you'll get chips with WARM salsa. On the weekends they serve Menudo and Pozole. I love menudo and theirs is great - just as good as mine or my mom's! Homemade corn tortillas come with it. Paired with a big red and a breakfast taco and it feels like home! It's busy here so pack your patience but it's so worth it! You can tell it's good because of the diversity of the customers - when it's good it's good! read more

Walked in the door, first time there and the guy behind the counter saw our confused look and immediately handed us a menu and directed us to the line. The young woman that actually took our order was as pleasant as could be. Very welcoming. The tacos were good, not great but between the service, location, ambience and price we definitely will be back. BTW...I noticed that same girl that took our order (when the line cleared out) jumped in to help clear the tables that were getting behind. This food is AMAZING, but I probably recommend ordering ahead for brunch. We got here at 10am on a Saturday morning and the line to order wrapped around the tables inside the restaurant. Of course, that's a testament to how good this food was, but we ended up waiting about 30 minutes to order. We ordered takeout and the food preparation was about another 15 min (in fairness, we had a huge order). Ultimately, the food was well worth the wait. I got the taco don Mex and the street tacos. The street tacos were very good, but would have been even better with some fresh lime juice. The taco don Mex was actually the best breakfast taco I've ever had!! Really love the food. This is a Cypress and Houston must go and we love taking friends and family to enjoy. We love getting to go through the line and watch their staff making tortillas and plates. Especially glad that's still part of the experience with the bigger space they have now. My favorite taco is the breakfast Telge and last time I tried my first Gordita and let me tell you it's amazing. My only gripe is that I really wish Mex would crack down on table holders. If you haven't ordered your food, you shouldn't be seated. Period. Even since the expansion we have had to wait for a table to open up after paying. It's a busy place but it's not a great experience standing with our drinks, chips and table number in hand - all while there are many people who haven't even ordered yet holding a table. read more

Great system when there's some control to it. I'd have loved to gatekeep this place but it's a well known secret here in Cypress. The staff is friendly and will happily offer suggestions if you aren't sure what to get, but the truth is I've never had a bad taco here. Because it's way more people now which I'm happy that they expanded but definitely not enough staff at the front. Phone calls at time not pick up for orders. And this last time I went I got multiple tacos. Since they couldn't pick up the phone I had to wait 30 mins in line to order and another 15 to get the order. One of my Al pastor taco had bones in it. Not sure if they were rushing due to the business being so busy that day. When I say packed. No tables were available. Never had this happened before where there's bones in my taco.
