I ordered through uber eats and was super excited to try as i've seen great reviews on yelp as well as the photos! However, upon tasting I wasn't impressed. Immediately when I opened my tacos I noticed more potatoes than anything. I ordered 2 Taco Telge which comes with eggs, bacon, potatoes and cheese. There was hardly any bacon, eggs or cheese. The tacos were bland and just overall flavorless. The salsas helped along with some cilantro and onions but overall I didn't enjoy. Used to be my go to spot for Mexican Breakfast. It started off with a bang and now is kinda "mid." My wife's scrambled eggs were almost white. What happened to yellow? My huevos rancheros were very bland. They have lost their mojo!!! I hope they find it. I went at 8:45 today and there was not waiting. I thought great. After my meal I know why!!! Oh my my my!!!!!! Let's start with saying, it's a mad house in there because these customers really know what they're looking for when it comes to breakfast, lunch, or just the tacos. So far the place is growing and their doing construction, so the ambience will be excellent in no time as they continue( they even have seating outside with fans, protecting us from this Texas heat). I was watching the service before getting to the register and making decisions is hard enough on what to really get. I got the fajitas on homemade corn tortillas and the Barbacoa on flour. Now for the owners having a tortilla lady in the back is a genus move because you want good quality food, especially every bite. NOT ONE BITE RIPPED THE TORTILLAS. That was exciting tbh. As for the meat, seasoning were really good to the fajita especially but the Barbacoa, I was really looking forward to. Not even greasy! Salsa verde wasn't too hot, so every bite was enjoyable. As for the horchata, I recommend adding some more cinnamon in it. Also I do recommend giving limes out with the tacos because that's another important ingredient. My wife loves spicy food, while I can handle it to a degree--but these chilaquiles were *spicy*, even for someone with an average tolerance. Really love the food. This is a Cypress and Houston must go and we love taking friends and family to enjoy. We love getting to go through the line and watch their staff making tortillas and plates. Especially glad that's still part of the experience with the bigger space they have now. My favorite taco is the breakfast Telge and last time I tried my first Gordita and let me tell you it's amazing. My only gripe is that I really wish Mex would crack down on table holders. If you haven't ordered your food, you shouldn't be seated. Period. Even since the expansion we have had to wait for a table to open up after paying. Great system when there's some control to it.
