Hit Taco King tonight! It's a taco truck/trailer that's always popping up with great reviews, so we decided to give it a shot. I went with my wife and, in true me fashion, ordered one of each of the tacos (except beef/pork combo). They're the small, street-style corn-tortilla tacos: fajita, pork, chicken and all fresh, all hot, all gone in record time. My wife had the steak fajita quesadilla, and we both cleared our plates embarrassingly fast. I also tried the beans, which were way better than a taco truck has any business making. The salsa verde was excellent -- tasty with a real kick. Friendly staff, fast service, great food and great price. Our whole meal was around $15, which feels like a crime for how good it was. I had three tacos made with corn tortillas and 3 different types of meat. I don't eat raw onions so they left them off at my request. I also ordered their Charro Beans which had a good flavor. Found this place when I was searching for a late night taco spot online. I chose it solely on uploaded photos of the tacos, they looked good. I ordered Al Pastor and Chicken tacos and let me tell you the flavor was so GOOD. I'm from the L.A. area and they taste better than my local tacos, they're cheaper too! Only 1.50 each. They had different taco meats than I'm used to. Typically, at my local taco spots you'll see carne asada, carnitas, lengua, tripas etc. But they had none of that. Instead, their meats were Beef fajita, Al pastor, chicken and meats I've never heard of: Trompo and Campechanos. I'll have to try those the next time I visit. I tried both the green and red salsa, surprisingly both were milder in spice than the salsa I usually eat. But still had just enough heat for me. I've seen this truck out for years and didn't want to venture too far out so I decided to buy some tacos from this stand and swap out the tortillas. So I read reviews and decided to pull up! Truck had 4 people in line, and I notice they are street tacos. They are $1.50 each, options are chicken, beef, pastor, a mixture of beef and pork which is called chem-something (forgive me) but I heard they are the best ones. I don't eat pork anymore so I wouldn't know! Ordered a quesadilla, beef which was so good. It had cheese, grill onions, regular onions, cilantro and a lot of beef meat. Cut in two portions! I also ordered 6 tacos for someone else and they were pretty stacked! Same ingredients except the cheese was extra .50 each taco.
