Hefty portions of quesobirria tacos. Next time I gotta beg for extra green sauce.
    Shelley R.

Today was Tuesday, and I was hankering for tacos nearby. Grab N Go? Torchy's? Nah, not bad but overpriced. Then I read what y'all had to say about Cinco's and had to try it. Glad I did! Got four quesobirria tacos to go for only $13. Deeelish and stuffed generously. I know the cup of braising liquid they give you is the tradition for dipping sauce but honestly, each taco was already so beefy and juicy they needed no extra dunk. Saved that though, in case I get thirsty later. My only advice: stay and eat at one of the shaded picnic tables in front of the truck. They use styrofoam to-go containers, and those make ANY crispy food sweat as if they arrived in a wet sauna.

Why 5 stars? Because the quesabirria hit the spot. --- --- --- My wife and I were heading back home from Houston and I wasn't really hungry for dinner after a heavy, late lunch. I just wanted some cookies, so we stopped at a nearby place for just that. As we were walking in, my wife said, "I think I actually want something savory more than sweet". Like Pavlov's dog, I *immediately* also wanted something savory. We skipped the cookie idea and decided to swing by this food truck instead. It's hard for me to resist ordering quesabirria when I see it on a menu, and there was no temptation to sway from that here. This meal was exactly what I was looking for: delicious sustenance, but not an overwhelming amount of food. And while there is another food truck that still holds the G.O.A.T. status when it comes to quesabirria, I think Cinco De Mayo is solidly in the running for the 2nd or 3rd best that I've tried. I personally prefer tipping in salsa over what normally comes with quesabirria. I know that's kind of the whole thing that makes the dish what it is, but I've never been one to be swayed by what everyone else is doing. The green sauce was delicious and an ideal pairing, IMO. Now, did I wake up at 2am with heartburn because I have a faulty esophagus? YEAH. But was it all worth it? You bet.

Yalllll if I could give this place 10 stars I would!!!! I have been searching and searching for a bomb taco spot in houston near me, and I have found it! I see why they have all the stars!!! I came here a little before they opened so waited in my car. As soon as they opened, popped over and ordered some fajita beef tacos, gahhh....I wish I ordered more!!! They were the perfect size street style taco, with fresh onion, cilantro, limes and a sauce on the side. The meat oh man oh man the meat was so tender!! And it was seasoned so well to absolute perfection! And I do not say that often!! I had also dropped off tacos to my friend, and got a call minutes later saying the exact same thing and where could they go get more! I was hesitant to share the exact geo, but sharing is caring! Love that there's some outdoor seating so that you can enjoy the food there in the shade. Also, plenty of parking as they're located in a shopping strip!

These tacos were amazing! So much so that my boyfriend tried to take his daughter two days after we went. Highly, highly recommend! Best tacos I've had in Houston so far!!

STOP AND EAT HERE !!!! No seriously , the bistec tacos are sooo damn good with that green salsa. QuesaBirria tacos are a hit as well!!! I failed in taking pictures today because I literally SWALLOWED the food when it got to my table. Have ever SWALLOWED your food ? no fr fr stop and try the food , you won't regret it. Felipe was soooo nice and made sure I had everything I needed. Both him and his buddy worked quick and got our order out fast! They have plenty of tables to sit with cute patio lights. Cute little vibe for a light night bite with your boo or friends forsuuure.

10/10!!! I came here on 1/12/22 for the first time since moving to the area. I previously tried another food truck that was closer to my area (like 5 minutes away) but I knew there was better out there so I kept looking - and found this gem! It is further (about 20 minutes from me) but I would make that drive ANY DAY for their tacos! The wait was decent, it was a little chilly so after we ordered we waited in the car. It was about a 10 minute wait so not bad at all. The service was also great and the man who took the order was very funny and personable. We got the Al Pastor tacos & of course the birria tacos. The Al Pastor was TOP NOTCH! I'm a HUGE taco connoisseur and taco lover. They made them so perfect. Their birria tacos - WHEW! Definitely in my top 2 (compared to this spot I went to in San Antonio) and I've been to a lot of taco trucks for birria. They were greatly packed with flavor, cheese, cilantro and onions, just how I like it. The consomé was also very flavorful! I'm telling y'all, these tacos are TOP TIER. This will probably be my new spot for birria tacos so thank you to the owners/cooks for this food truck. Y'all have a new long term customer!

Tacos de pastor were amazing! Get corn (maíz) taste way better! My friend got the tacos de birria and she loved them. They have a few picnic tables and string of lights so the atmosphere is cute. Can't complain about the service.

If you're looking for a taco food truck near Spring, this is it!! I got the pastor quesadilla which was delicious! Unfortunately it downpoured while we were waiting for the food, but there is a little covered area next to the truck where we were able to sit to eat and wait out the storm. Would definitely try again!

Mr. Maurici did such an amazing job catering my daughters birthday on a sunday! It was such a big hit that everyone weeks after the party was asking where the truck is so they can get some more! I will definitely hire him again in the future!

    Do you have margaritas?

Sorry but we don’t have any alcoholic beverages

    Do they accept card?

    Yes, we do.

The restaurant is pretty large with a mix of warm lighting and natural light depending on where you're sitting. It seems as though they may be renovating in certain spots of the restaurant the time we visited. Our waiter Dave was friendly, attentive, informative, and efficient. The complimentary chips and salsa were good. We took advantage of their happy hour for drinks. We each had a Cadillac margarita which was pretty good. My friend and I chose the Marisco bowl. I chose the meat combo of chicken/steak and she chose the chicken Marisco bowl. My other friend had the chicken quesadillas. The food was fresh, but in my opinion lacked flavor. I loved the prices of Gringos, but did not like my dish as much. My friends enjoyed their meals. As the night went on the restaurant became full. They have complimentary ice cream and cones for dessert that patrons get themselves. When we attempted to partake, the cones were gone and the station was messy from patrons not cleaning up after themselves. I would return to this location again and try a different dish. I would also recommend this business to others for decent happy hour drinks and food.

To be fair, it is my own fault because I tried El Mariachi a year or two ago and thought it was gross then. However, I know everywhere deserves a second chance so I thought I'd give it another try, especially when I saw it had such a high average rating. Let me first say, service is INCREDIBLE. Truly could not ask for better. The hostess was really sweet and she stayed kind even when I could tell she was overwhelmed by all the people. We had multiple servers come by to check on us at various times and do things for us and they were all great too. Absolutely 0 staff complaints. I ordered a watermelon margarita and couldn't drink it. The syrup was completely separated from the actual drink. I left it completely full and while I didn't want to complain, I was surprised that I wasn't asked if it was okay. Had I been asked, I would've told them. My husband thought his house margarita was good, but he did order it frozen and it was already half liquid by the time he got it. The food was not good. I took one bite of my beef taco and pushed it to the side. It was essentially Taco Bell meat. No shade to Taco Bell, but if I wanted that, I would've just gone to T Bell. It sure would've been a lot cheaper. My cheese enchiladas were also not good. I asked to have sour cream sauce on top & was charged $2 for it. I wasn't told I'd be charged extra and didn't see anywhere on the menu where it said that. Even so, $2 for sauce is crazy, but $2 for sauce when the enchilada ALREADY comes with sauce on top and all you had to do was replace it?? Wild. The queso was okay. Not amazing, not bad. It's the only thing I was able to eat. Not my personal experience, but two tables in our same section had issues with their food too and had to send it back. $85 for that is crazy. I'm glad so many seem to enjoy it, but El Mariachi will never see me again.

The margaritas are solid as well and when you glance around the restaurant, you'll see them on most tables. This place is a well oiled machine. There are plenty of staff and they all work unison to bring drinks / chips / salsa / refills / orders / food -- and that food usually comes out before I can feel guilty for eating chips, salsa, and queso. I found this trick that works for me. Since I 100% of the time feel guilty for leaving the place feeling so full, I started parking on the other end of the parking lot. This allows my to burn off 2.7 calories of the food that just ate so I feel 2.7 percent less guilty. On a serious note - this place is the real deal.
