Was excited at first thinking this was going to be like south Texas small town Tex-Mex quality. Our meals were okay, nothing to rave over. But our queso was EXTREMELY watered down and the chips were store bought. And they had packages of store bought tortillas stocked in the back too when I'm pretty sure the menu said homemade tortillas. The horchata also came from a premade package. Small taco shop in strip center with great breakfast tacos. I had the eggs and bacon tacos with shredded white cheese. They were very good. My order was for pick-up. Good thing, because there were no tables available for dine-in. They were packed. I tried this place on Cinco de Mayo, so that may have been the reason for the crowd. The parking is limited. Great place! Super cute decor and theme! I went with a friend for lunch and we were greeted and seated as soon as we came in. The waitress immediately took our drinks as well. I ordered the chicken flautas which were so filling and I would definitely recommend! My friend had the giant burrito which - I will warn you - it lives up to its name. She ordered queso as well, I will say the missing star is because of the queso. It was quite bland and really mild compared to other quesos that I've had from other places. How do I start? Well, the gentleman behind the counter was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed discussing the menu with him. His service was great also. He was practically a one man show. Running register, waiting tables, handling take-out .... all but cooking the food and even that I wasn't sure about cause he was just that busy. The food was good, I had the Birr??? 4 of them, very flavorful. Hubby had med burrito and it was quite large! The chips were wonderful and so was the salsa. I've been going here for a while now and since I'm back for the holiday, I decided to eat here after the gym. I ordered a giant burrito with pastor and my wife ordered menudo. The burrito was delicious and very filling. They made sure you get a piece of meat with every bite. The menudo according to my Latina wife says that it is very authentic Mexican menudo! The place was very authentic as well as it felt like I was in a taqueria in Mexico. They had sombreros and painting on the wall to really express the Latino culture. The service was amazing, the server took my order with no problem and even offered me more free chips! Worth the cost for sure! Taste: 9/10. The only reason they didn't get a ten is because of the fries, but that's not why I ordered from them anyway. We ordered their giant quesadilla plates, and then we also ordered a gotta to share. The quesadillas were MADE to be pair with the rice and beans. And this was arguably one of the best tortas I've ever had in Houston. The bread tasted fresh. It was soft, but still nicely toasted. We pretty much enjoyed the birria on flour. The tortillas weren't completely covered in consomé. It was on one side and not on the inside where the meat and cheese were, but they were fine. We did also get beef quesadillas and they were very salty. The refried beans were bland. Like it could benefit from some kind of pork or something. The rice wasn't very good either, and had clumps. My advice is keep it Birria tacos only at this place. read more

I frequent the nail shop in this shopping strip so I decided to stop here for lunch on a HOT Saturday. We hade the fajita lunch plate and fajita sope. The lunch plate portion was plentiful needed a to go box. The Sope was delicious it was my first ever having a sope. I did google to make sure it was something I would like and glad I did the fried corn tortilla was great.
