The tacos are honestly not the greatest ive ever had! In comparison to all other Breakfast Tacos ive eaten - these tortillas were a bit undercooked and too thick for me. Don't order from here. 1) They don't season any of their food. I'm not a girl who's looking for over-salted food, but I'd like a restaurant to be aware of the concept of salt and pepper. Literally everything was so bland. 2) I got the eggs à la Mexicans breakfast plates. The portions were small, the eggs overcooked and rubbery, and tasteless. For $14.99 I should've just gone up the street to my local taco truck and saved my ass a ton of money. 3) The breakfast potatoes. Look like they're obviously out of a freezer bag. Arrived underdone. I had to oil them up, season them myself, and stick them in the oven for 12 minutes before they were even edible. 4) The refried beans are soupy and as I mentioned, bland. They look like someone's already digested them. The rice tastes like dish water. The green salsa doesn't seem too bad but also needed a pinch of salt. 5) Since it was Saturday, I scored 12 tamales. Haven't tried one, but if they suck too then this place can't be redeemed. 6) Positives: I'm severely lactose intolerant (sorry) and have celiac. That just means I can't have cheese or sour cream and need to have corn tortillas. I did like that Sunrise was easy about accommodating my allergies. MrM tried this place first, as we're are true taquito fans! Small shop, clean and well lit. Everyone is very friendly. Food is always fresh and delicious. MrM likes the chorizo, egg and cheese (Who doesn't?) Don't be fooled by the name, these taquitos are the size of small burritos. I have enjoyed the carne asada plate several times. LOVE the egg tacos. I get mine plain (but all the usual add ins are available) in corn tortillas with a side of mild (red) salsa. There are two thin tortillas to wrap up a big portion of perfectly tasting, perfectly cooked, eggs. Tastes just like egg, no weird oil taste or milk added. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Takes about two minutes for them to make the tacos. Tables inside and out. Clean. Nice adult staff. read more

After having heard this location had just opened up, I knew a lazy Sunday morning was a perfect day to swing by and try this place. Inside, it seems a little unfinished at this time. There are some wall mounts behind the register that don't have anything on them (yet) but I'll let it slide since the place is so new. If you take a look at the menu photos I've included, tell me if I'm jaded or if I'm just not used to everything being so expensive - I felt $11 was a little steep for two plain breakfast tacos and a water bottle. I ordered one item from the breakfast menu and one item from the lunch menu - the Chorizo & Egg, and the Picadillo tacos. Both of these tacos were very well-seasoned and very nearly addictively so. The tortillas seem homemade and are soft and pillowy. My food was made to order and fresh. Unfortunately, my bag was soaked from grease and moisture from the five or so minute drive home. Did this stop me from horking down these tacos like breathing air? Nope! I even forgot I got salsa with my order. Trying them on their own, I'd say the red salsa is a little loose, milder than the green salsa, which could pack a punch for those sensitive to spice, but still good. Just not super flavorful. The guy who took my order was nice and helpful. I was staring up at the menu hanging from the ceiling and he handed me a to-go menu to consult instead, which was sweet. He also told me you can actually call ahead to place your order for easy, breezy, beautiful pickup. All told, I'd like my breakfast tacos to have a little bit more going for themselves at this price. The Picadillo, while good, felt untraditional. I had one tiny piece of potato and nothing else besides beef, though I won't complain for the restaurant not filling the taco out with cheap ingredients. When it comes to the chorizo and egg, that is exactly what it is. Though, for both, I'd consider grease as a bonus ingredient. I'd ask for maybe some diced onion and cilantro, grilled onions, cheese, or potato to be added, but I'm not about to pay upwards of $5 for one breakfast taco. If you're a single person, why not. But if you're trying to feed your family? Best go to Kroger and just make it yourself. read more

I've heard about this place for a while now and I finally gave it a shot today. It was really good, the bacon was in thicker pieces and well cooked. The cheese was fresh yellow like some sort of cheddar. The best part was the red salsa was spicy, I always judge a breakfast taco off the salsa and this one passed the test. read more

The migas taco is made to order and took about 20 minutes because it was busy. The flour tortilla was hot and pliable, and the filling was a big omelet log filled with chopped onions, chopped bell peppers, chopped tortilla chips and chopped tomatoes. It's tasty but needed a little black pepper or salt to be good alone because there are so many vegetables. There are spicy red and green salsas to add another layer of flavor. read more

Ever since El Rey closed, I've been looking for some delicious breakfast tacos. This place is it; they're not cheap but they're big so 2 will fill you up. I ordered the bacon and egg on flour and they were delicious: huge amount of egg, cooked fresh, fresh made tortillas and I think they use lard because they were buttery. What a welcome addition to the neighborhood! If this place fails to make a go of it here I'm gonna be very upset. The young couple that runs this location is so nice. We are recognized as repeat customers every time we go in. They sell individual tacos and complete meals (meat, rice, beans, 2 tortillas). Everything we've had so far has been great; in fact, they serve the best tasting picadillo (deliciously- seasoned ground beef) in town. Breakfast tacos and more are served in fresh-made flour tortillas, and they are generously-stuffed with fillings (crunchy shell also available). They have a red salsa and a green salsa, and both are really good. They are delicious and authentic taqueria-style salsas (quite spicy, a little watery, not chunky). I can't decide which is better, so I mix them together (producing a "1+1=3!" situation). read more

Fantastic breakfast tacos in Copperfield! We have tried the sausage, bacon and chorizo tacos. The sausage and bacon are our favorites. The tacos are HUGE and of course comes with eggs. Cheese is extra. We have yet to try the items from the lunch menu but plan to try those as well. There are a few tables to eat inside and the restaurant is very conveniently located in a small strip at Hwy 6 and West Road beside MOD pizza. The staff are all friendly and are helpful with questions. Go by and try these. You will see why they are rated so high. read more

This is a good place to get your breakfast cravings. Tortillas are handmade and that's rare around here. Egg stuff is just so and so but the barbacoa is TOP notch. Delicious and they take the "barbacoa natural" approach which is the way I like it. No extra flavors or seasonings just salt all it needs tbh. The only negative thing about this place is that the best thing on their menu runs out by 9:30am!!! I've been here like 4 times now early and they're already out. Now what I do is I call ahead to make sure it's worth the trip. If they don't have barbacoa it's honestly not worth the drive. You can get a breakfast taco anywhere else. Wish they'd just make more of it. If I was running the place and I see a pattern of running out of one item I would just make more of it. Easy. Oh well. read more

ST is under new management now and ordered a dozen of their tamales a few days ago and was very disappointed. They are very small and were overcooked so we had to cut off the burned portion which made them even smaller. Also they didn't taste very good. Very disappointed and won't order them again. So far the tacos are still good but they put less filling in the tortilla than they use to. We definitely miss the people that use to operate the taqueria. read more
