The service is excellent - same friendly girl helped us each time (long hair with green hair on the bottom - a sweetheart!). Visited 8/4 - Nice corner spot w/drive-thru (plus-plus). Had a taste for seafood for lunch and didn't wanna sit in so I gave 'em a try. After the fist bite, I was trying to eat and drive, that says something! I'm a stickler for fried shrimp and fish and I must say, very tasty - light batter....liked the sweet corn hush puppies. If you are looking for a fancy sit-down restaurant, this is NOT it. However, the food is very good and fairly fast. They do have a few tables so you can eat in IF IT IS NOT NEAR CLOSING TIME!!!. The first time we went there, we arrived about 45 minutes prior to their advertised closing time. As we sat down to eat, the staff started putting the chairs on the tables and sweeping/mopping. When we left, STILL BEFORE CLOSING TIME, our table was the only one left to put up the chairs and wipe down. A couple days ago, we went back. It was 65 minutes before "closing" time. When we ordered, they informed us that they stop having "eat-in" at an hour before closing so we had to wait in our car for our order and drive home to eat it cold. Again, the food is great, but the service at the end of the day is significantly LESS than expected. You would never see one of the big name restaurants rushing folks out at an hour before closing. We had the fish & shrimps basket with a side order of fries, so much food enough for 2 ppl. The seafood was consistently fresh, crunchy battered but not greasy at all. Tonight was my last time ordering from this location. The staff appears to have a problem getting phone orders correct. Whether this is a result of not paying attention to the customer on the phone, or a lack of competence in the kitchen, I cannot say. But when I drive 10 minutes each way to patronize your establishment, I don't think it's asking too much for the order to be as submitted. Went to grab some dinner after much debate of whether to be lazy and eat-in or go out and grab food. This was well worth it! Grilled Chicken Alfredo (5/5)- I loved the portion of this!! It was so yummy, and not those greasy Alfredo you usually get. They do cook this with onion and bell pepper chunks, but I didn't mind much. My boyfriend thought the chicken was a little dry, but I honestly didn't think so. Comes with a small salad which was decent and butter flat bread which was a little too oily for me but still good. Gumbo (4/5)- Delicious as expected, but I did eat it as leftover and there was a layer of fat/oil that made me feel greasy when I finished. Still, it was yummy yummy. Shrimp/Catfish (5/5)- I personally didn't try the catfish part of the meal, but the shrimp was decent sizing and so fresh I could tell when I bit into it wasn't frozen. Fries (5/5)- When ordering, we asked the girl if any of our items came with fries (which the shrimp/catfish did) and she said no so we got an order of fries. Overall, we had ALOT OF FRIES, but even after the drive home they were crispy cajun fries and yummy!! Other than the fries oversight, the girl was nice and really helpful.
